- Emiro (7/5): Budget hotel for a night - The best thing about the hotel is the location and the views from the balcony. Also, Juan the receptionist is very kind and helpful. This is a budget hotel perfect for a one night stay as it doesn’t have anything else but rooms. The room and bathroom were ok. Again, this is a cheap hotel so I didn’t expect more than what I paid for. The breakfast was basic but tasty (enough to keep you going!)

- Gabriela (6/5): Affordable beach view - The view from the balcony was incredible, beautiful sunsets everyday. We also liked most of the front desk staff and also the cleaning ladies, they were really kind when we asked for extra pillows. I saw reviews saying the AC was loud but it wasn't the case for us, ours was new. Breakfast was good. It's an old building but overall it is what you expect for what you pay. The beach in front is pleasant. We really underestimated the level of noise from the street we could hear from our room, it was really really loud. If you like to sleep early or are a light sleeper I do not recommend staying in this hotel (maybe not in Rodadero altogether). That being said, due to the amount of people on the street at night we felt really safe. The bed wasn't comfortable and they do not provide towels for your face or the bathroom floor. Shower had zero water pressure and the temperature oscilated between warm and cold (which is better than 90% of the area's hotels apparently). Breakfast could also improve, there wasn't any fruit, although we liked the eggs and arepa.

- Carmelo (4/5): - It is in a good location with a decent partial view of the beach and close to the street action. I'll start by saying the hotel was pretty inexpensive, but there are reasons why: 1. It is very loud (even on the 6th floor). 2. They have no hot water 3. They offer only bath sized towels (no washcloths or hand towels) 4. No shampoo, conditioner, or tissues for the bathroom. Only tiny soap bars 5. The room is very tight (we had a triple room) and the beds and pillows were not comfortable, but it is cheap. 6. The elevator smelled horribly. I brought it up to the front desk that they should wash the elevator rug and change the air filter, and the guy just looked at me as if I was serious. I asked if he understood, and then finally nodded, but never acknowledged that they would. They never cleaned it. 7. We contacted the front desk about the bathroom sink drain plug which was closed shut and wouldn't drain. They came the next day and said they'd go to Home Depot to parts to fix it. They removed the plug and never came back. The maid was great. She smiled, was talkative, and did a great job cleaning the room. Most of the front desk staff (especially the young kids at night) were not very friendly, never smiled, couldn't answer our questions. It was as if we were bothering them and we had to keep asking until we got some kind of a response. When we said thank you they wouldn't say, "Your Welcome", I was tipping them at 1st & they didn't even say thank you.

- Luz Stella (10/5): My wife very, very happy, thanks Hotel Betoma! - Great value, comfortable room, good breakfast and best friendly and helpful service ever! Just got off the phone to my wife who (my present for her birthday yesterday) took her two elderly parents to Santa Marta. Her frail mother on long walks needing a wheelchair to get around. The hotel was the best value in this location and after her first night she had already told me very happy with the "apartment like" room and a "good" free breakfast. Today on the last day she told me how "great" the "friendly and helpful" staff at the desk had been every day of their three night stay. One man had organized and personally picked up a wheelchair. They also very happy to help with printing out airline tickets (as VivaAir charged them a ridiculous $US70 when they left because we hadn't done that). Perhaps because they weren't busy they have also given them a free later check out as their flight back to Pereira leaves at 5.30PM. So yes, thanks Hotel Betoma for help making this a great holiday for my wife and her parents!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Surprisingly Good Stay - The structures are old and need restoration but it was clean. For the price of a room I got a suite. The welcome started with a lot of inquiry about being a Colombian national or not even though had a USA passport. It took a whie before they got it. Once i convince them i do not have to pay the 19% Clombian tax, service was good.locaion was great 1 block from beach. Good breakfast

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our room was great! It was a suite even though I didn't expect it. Had 2 rooms - big bedroom and then the other room had a dining room, kitchen and a sitting area. Both rooms had sliding doors to the huge balcony and we had a good view of the beach from the 3rd floor. Overall for the money, I was very pleased. Breakfast ends at 9am though so that was too early for us but they were very nice and gave us coffee even during the day.

- Hugo Mario (8/5): Un hotel en terminos generales bueno - Estuvimos un solo día ya que íbamos de paso, pero en términos generales fue bueno comparado con el precio que se pago, lo mejor es su ubicación ya que a 80 metros ya esta la playa, hay variedad de restaurantes y hay tiendas para compras. el desayuno sencillo pero bien preparado, el aire acondicionado si era muy viejo, ni control remoto tenia. La habitación la recibimos en buen estado de aseo, tenia cocineta con nevera, estufa y algunos aparatos para preparar alimentos si uno quiere. Desde mi punto de vista es un buen hotel para ir a dormir o descansar después de un día de playa, el hotel no ofrece ninguna diversión en su interior
