- Tony (8/5): - Traditional lodge, idealic setting on the riverside, close to shops and restaurants etc. Property is a little tired. Although on the menu, no breakfast cereal was available . Otherwise, it would have been 10/10.
- Guest (10/5): A little piece of rustic haven on the river - Beautiful timber bungalows and main building. Right on the river. Beautiful garden, very natural and relaxed.
- Guest (10/5): 2nd time staying, will be staying again in the future for sure! - Amazing location, peaceful and quiet. Very respectful staff and the rooms are exactly what you need, basic creature comforts but not excessive!
- Kerr (10/5): - This place was absolutely amazing and especially amazing for its price.
- Karen (8/5): - Lovely buildings
View of the river
Very friendly staff
Large spacious rooms

- Pathaibelg (8/5): -
- Shauntel (7/5): Good - beautiful location and comfortable room set up The lighting isnt the best. Very dimmed lights.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- C (10/5): Exceptional -
- Besley (8/5): Very good -
- Pierre (9/5): Superb -
- Rolf (7/5): Good - It's super central, directly at Pai river, yet still quiet. We were here last minute over New Year's Eve and paid a really high price for our room, which made it really bad value for money. For a third of what we paid, it would've been a 9.
- Colette (10/5): Beautiful property with friendly helpful staff. breakfast was delicious. Location is excellent - Location. Cleanliness. Comfort
- Abigail (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Wonderfull location. Mattress are old. Breakfast very, very simple, always the same.
- Tove (3/5): Central location, but very worn resort - Staff polite and friendly. Pictures of the resort on Booking.com must be from another time! The resort is definitely in need of repair, it’s very worn. In our room everything needed repair, windows, bathroom, room, and it’s a shame, because it has clearly been a nice room and a beautiful resort before. Pictures of the breakfast does not correspond with the actual breakfast menu.
- Meriton (7/5): Good -
- Marina (4/5): May be if you don’t need a comfort it will be ok - Near by walking street, nice staff too much expensive for it.
A lot of noise: bars on the street, people near by hotel, next door neighbours (and from all rooms). Old rooms, very cold, dirty bed linen, also worn out (we had a torn blanket). An electric water heater that doesn't really heat water. Breakfast simple and it will be nice if it will be warm
- Kjell (6/5): Enkel vistelse.
- Guy (9/5): Relaxing - Nice timber structures, a little old be in the right way. Big open room nice timber floors and big windows. Located on the river. Morning breakfast is nice. Stairs up to balcony a little dodgy
- Charles (9/5): Superb -
- Eran (1/5): Bad - location they had the worst bed I have ever used
- Cheryl (7/5): We loved the place but moved because of the bar noise. - The buildings and property were very attractive. Noise from the bars nearby kept us up until 3 am 2 of of 3 nights. For some reason the third night (a Saturday) was silent.
- Ernest (7/5): Good -
- Martin (2/5): Horrific. Stay somewhere else - Very basic rooms. Misrepresented on Google maps and in hotel booking sites.
Certainly not 3*, possibly not even 1*
Would possibly have been reasonable value at 1/3 the price.
No safe in room. No mention at reception. When I asked, I was told he would put things in his room but there is no safe!
Little space to hang things. Only one hanger.
Pillows are as hard as bricks.
Shower is weak and luke warm. Sink tap drips constantly and sink leaks.
Noisy fairground over the other side of the river, so loud that the room and fixtures actually vibrate.. yet the hotel failed to inform us about this when we made the booking!
Can hear and smell everything from outside as zero insulation.
Breakfast stated to start a 7, only tea coffee and juice available.
Breakfast day 2 was off the menu and reasonable.
Breakfast day 3 was chaos. No cups, no eggs, no fruit, no staff.
The whole place is mismanaged and in need of maintenance and repair
- Vlad (8/5): Very good -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abbie (8/5): Nice - Big room, helpful staff Bed wasn’t comfortable, not many people around to help
- Joel (10/5): Good stay - Everything was working fine. Clean. WiFi was abit slow but is faster in the lobby. Recommended. Stayed 4 nights. Had no issues.
- Noah (9/5): Recommend !! - Rooms were clean and hotel was pretty and well kept . Family running the hotel were very kind and helpful
- Shir (7/5): Good - Good location nice inner garden. And balcony There was a strange smell in the room.maybe a bit old...
- Danit (6/5): Pleasant - Nice quite area Old hotel, the facilities were not great at all
- Kanith (9/5): Superb - Beautifully decorated room
Really friendly owner
Superb breakfast
great location next to Pai river The owner leave the place a bit unattended/running down especially the beautiful river front area
- Opas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natasha (9/5): Really nice wooden rooms . Good value for money - Lovely staff, you have to pay in cash and they didn’t pressure you to go and get the cash out right away you could check in and everything first
We had a beautiful room next to the river and after three days we wanted to stay longer but had to change room this room was a bit dark but still really nice The breakfast was a bit awkward one day it’s a cooked and the next you just make some toast
- George (7/5): Well stay here again if we can get the waterfront bungalows especially. - Charm and on the river Old and a bit scruffy
- Julian (6/5): Make sure you get a garden room - Lovely Thai style room with wood floors and large bathroom. On the River with a lovely garden area and minutes away from walking streets. If you order off the menu a good breakfast. The room needs a spring clean to remove cobwebs and dust on wood ledges. Our room overlooked the car park and had a shared walkway outside, some rooms have a private balcony and overlook the garden. In the morning there was a lot of noise outside and you can hear the school PA system too. It's a shame they have replaced the wood floors and steps outside with hideous concrete panels. I think the hotel is overpriced for the room we stayed in, I guess this is because it's right in town.
- Noa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathon (5/5): Passable -
- Siowchuan (8/5): Very good - There is a choice of cooked breakfast to suit eastern and western taste.
The hotel is located by the Pai River and guests can relax by it.
The hotel has a rustic charm.
This is our second 2-day stay at this hotel in twelve months. The hotel wi-fi is not good.
- Meltem (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Karol (8/5): Very good -
- Hans (6/5): Pleasant -
- Whichelo (7/5): Good -
- Attias (3/5): Poor - The location The room was old, the bed very hard, ants and bags, you can get better for this prise in pai
- Shalom (9/5): Superb - the stuff are very kindly. the room is big with a big balcony. very close to tge center and still, the view around is amazing. poor steam in the shower
- Elijah (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (8/5): Fantastic location and friendly. Good value - Nice breaky with muesli and yoghurt
- Loui (8/5): Very good -
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Great location, no noise during the evening. Staff were friendly, nice big rooms.
- Morgyn (8/5): excellent value, clean, peaceful and relaxing. - very clean and good location, close to everything in town but quiet. nice big rooms with a lovely balcony area. freshly staff and fresh little breakfast included. the pillows are too hard for my liking and the bathroom light is so dark. small issues but overall a great little hotel.
- Harvey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee-ann (3/5): tired place , not value for money - it was a really good location property was old , might of been a lovely place years ago, wasn’t worth the money ..very over priced for what you got.
- Chelseapinky (9/5): Superb - Beautiful traditional wooden building, gorgeous well looked after gardens and in a fantastic location. We only stayed here for one night as we needed somewhere last minute. After arriving we wished that we had spent a few more nights here as it was just beautiful. We booked a deluxe double room and on arrival were told we had to have twin beds. Upon reflection I should have asked for a discounted rate, but it didn't really matter because the beds were comfortable and the room was very nice. We loved the terrace.
- Max (10/5): Excellent stay in a very nice place - Really beautiful place, peaceful, located within walking distance from centre. Nice riverside.Breakfast perfect, room spacious and comfortable.
- Glenn (10/5): - Quiet and away from Pai's bustle but near enough for forays into Walking Street area and/or other.
- Joris (10/5): The best guesthouse we could have wished for! Lovely staff, rich breakfast, nice pool! - We stayed at the guesthouse in December and it felt like a home away from home! The owners have really done a nice job in turning the place into a very welcoming and relaxing place. Marcel has been extremely helpful with advising us on things to do in and around the city and has helped us so much with arranging everything for these trips too. Also we owe him a big thank you for being so kind and patient with our 2 and 4 year old son and daughter, who absolutely adored him! Leaving it!
- Katherine (10/5): absolutely wonderful, incredible site and tasty food!! -
- Aizhan (7/5): this is not an expensive hotel, so if you want a better place, look for another hotel - the hotel is located in a picturesque place, not far from the main street, near the river, everything is made of wood furniture, curtains and bed linen are very old
- Janice (8/5): generally it was a good stay I have stayed here before - location friendly and helpful staff a little bit dated could do with an upgrade
- Ben (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (8/5): Very good -
- Werner (5/5): Passable - staff is very friendly and location is pretty nice Based on the pictures I somehow expected a little more, especially for the price.
- Anna (7/5): Good - A nice traditional looking place next to the walking street in Pai. The rooms are a bit outdated, but big and clean. Shower was strong and hot. The staff is very nice, we extended our stay in Pai and they gave us a nice price as well. The breakfast was tasty and filling. The minuses didn't bother us much but it would be fair to mention them.
Our aircon remote wasn't working and they couldn't fix it or give a new remote during the whole 5-days stay, so it was only on/off option. The bed is pretty hard. The door is locked on the padlock and there is no safe if that is important to you. Although we didn't have any problems with safety. There is a rooster nearby who can wake you up in the morning before your alarm clock :)
- Mark (8/5): functional. solid. no surprises. no breakfast though - clean. simple. great location. spartan dexot.
- Insa (9/5): Lovely architecture, next to the river, close to center but quiet! -
- Dana (8/5): Very good -
- Pratanporn (7/5): Good -
- Titus (7/5): Good - Beautiful gardens, idyllic setting next to the river and perfect location. Strong, hot shower. Charming Lanna style wooden architecture, but in dire need of maintenance. Uncomfortable bed. Disappointing breakfast. Buildings not well maintained, and rotting wood replaced with cheap non-wood materials, losing their distinctive charm and character, a real pity. In need of of proper renovations with real wood to restore the property to its former style.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb - amazing and great rooms
- Salsd (7/5): Good - Localisation
Near the river
Breakfast Twin bed cause "last room available"
Lightning in the shower very light
Ants in one bed in the middle of the night for no reason
- Christine (7/5): Good -
- Nicole (6/5): Pleasant - The lady running the breakfast is brilliant, there's a nice selection of Thai and Western food and she goes out of her way to make it a great start of the day for you.
- Nipon (7/5): Correct. Staff really good -
- Sabine (8/5): Very good - Special athmosphere, close to the River, walking
distance to the village. Spaceful terrace. Very nice
and friendly and supportive Host.
- Stephen (6/5): - The property has had its troubles. Much to be expected because of shutdowns. Overall it was a good experience, close to city centre and walking street. The staff very accommodating, helpful and friendly.
The ride to bus station saved us money as well.
- Margaret (8/5): Fine place to stay. - Visited with friends. Location was great. Room was decent. Breakfast was underwhelming.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Slightly rundown and unloved feel about this Baan. Disappointing as it has great location on the river. Much of the wooden slats are missing so walking was precarious especially when wet. Our room was not cleaned once and there were gecko droppings all over the bathroom. Staff seemed to be unconcerned and not very engaging. We avoided the breakfast too as it was very cold and basic.
- jack (8/5): Will stay here next trip to pia - Great location, peacefull, good breakfest
- Benjamin (2/5): Thumb down. - Potential unmet.
Bad bed. Bad breakfast. Poor service. Disheveled.
Good location.
Left after one day to a nicer hotel across the board.
- adva (8/5): - The hotel is in a great area close to the walking sree, the staff was great and helped us with everything we
needed. the only negetive thing was the mold smell in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and Clean Hotel - Great room, was very clean and the staff were great. Everything is nearby and within walking distance..it had an inroom frisge to keep water and drinks cold.
They did have a TV but I never used it.
- Theresa (10/5): Beautiful gardens by the river - This hotel is located by the river and the gardens are lovely. We had a end room with a porch and a river view. The room was comfortable. The hotel is showing some wear but it's rustic and charming and a good value. Breakfast was very good. The staff is very accommodating even though their English is limited. It is the perfect place to relax.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to everything - Finding the hotel can cause an accident. The main street is full of bikes going to fast and cars not looking. In the 2 days we stayed we saw 3 small bike acccidents. Once there, the staff was great, room a bit small. The bed was so close to the wall I had to curl my toes to squeeze between the wall and the bed frame. Room was clean. Security of the room consisted of a small pad lock. But for the things we really needed it was fine. Matress was comfortable, shower was hot and the grouds were beautiful. The garden was great. Many trees of different orgins. Once in the resort it was very quiet. We could hear the nothing but nature. The sounds of loud bikes was so faint. It was very nice. In the morning the breakfast was ok. Rice soups, Eggs, fried rice, hotdogs, noodles all warm. Cold ham, toast, oakmeal, coffee and juice. Not much but filling.
- Jerry (2/5): Bungalow B05 - The House of Horrors - This might be the worst place I've ever stayed in not because any one thing is so bad but because of all the factors put together made for one of the worst stays I've ever paid for. My friends and I spent a long weekend here and booked 2 nights, the staff was nice enough to upgrade my 4 friends to bungalows since their hotel rooms didn't have the bed setups that worked for them. Even though it was the beginning of rain season kudos for that. From what I saw and was told their bungalows were fine, sturdy and clean. Our bungalow however had a creaky floor with inexplicably a toilet underneath that also had a light on that you could see through the floor since there were gaps in some places. To make matters worse people could be heard underneath/beside this staff area talking until 1 am the both nights even though we complained after the 1st night as it was very audible in our bungalow. These people also smoked and the smell seeped up through our gapped floor. The bathroom was not very well sealed as a stream of ants made their way through it when it rained and also rat droppings could be found on the sill around the shower. On the 2nd night we heard rats fighting in the walls before we went to sleep and a rat in the wall above our heads trying to open some food package for about an hour in the early morning that kept me awake for the rest of that night. Top everything off with poor A/C and food and you're looking at a very disappointing stay for the bungalow price
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good walking distance to everything needed. Peaceful and quiet
