Guest Reviews
- Calvin (2/5): - The pool area looked like it was in a prison courtyard. The alleys around the hotel are disgusting (more than most in the area) I would not have felt safe in that area at night.
I elected to cancel my stay and went to a beautiful village in Seminyak with traditional thatched roof buildings and amazing staff. Bali Agung Village.
- Tae (8/5): - It was close to the beach and good restaurants. The room was small and nosie was an issue at times, but overall a good place for the price.
- Ashley (8/5): - The property was clean and the front desk staff were kind and helpful. The a/c worked well and the bed was comfy. It is close to Kuta and Legion beaches. I found a great place to eat on the beach and another spot in town that were great.
- Alex (6/5): - Just to noisy
- Rica (6/5): - Lack of facilities
- Mohammad (2/5): - Not even offer a complementry bottle of mineral water
no fridge in the room no telephone even to contact the front desk it was terrible
- Glen (8/5): - The only thing I didn’t like was my noisy neighbours, but that’s not the fault of the property.
- zam (10/5): Gorgeous - Friendly reception
Love the area
Love the hotel
Love the pool which was inside the hotel
Thanks Expedia
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pop Hotel Bali Kuta - Top spot very clean and staff always helpful. Only problem was shower lack of hot water however very cheap place and great if on a budget.
- Robert (6/5): Pop Hotel Kuta - You get what you paid for however room and hotel clean and nice, ok if on a budget, Shower lack hot water and no little fridge in rooms so unable to store cold drinks if you want. Staff are very happy and friendly. Located between Kuta and Legian so ok to walk anywhere
- Rima (6/5): cheap, good location but they shoukd clean it more - Cheap hotel, the location is good. close to the beach and restaurants but hidden in an alley. The hotel is ok but the should clean the common areas better and more often (toilets in common area and the swimming pool)
- Santtu (6/5): - Hotel staff were excellent and everyday-life was easy at the hotel - we had a safety locker, free bottled water, clean towels and sheets nearly everyday in addition to a small breakfast (limited to two persons even though our room was rented to three persons). Location of the hotel is really good for exploring Kuta and all the places are in walking distance.
The only big problem with our room was the air quality. Windows can not be opened and the air gets really bad and moist. It took 4 days to dry a wet t-shirt! When leaving the hotel, no wonder that we also found fungus growing up on our luggage, which were left next to wall of our room for the holiday week.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Toilet - toilet removeable type is a very bad idea. water leaking from toilet. No carpet inside the room creates lots of sand at the floor.
- LO (2/5): Poor - Poor.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth your time. - Too busy, filthy pool area and lobby. Horrible free breakfast buffet. Rude staff who refused to help us call a taxi. Weird smell in the room.
- Ali (2/5): Night mare experience at POP HOTEL kuta. - It's a nightmare.. Waited 2 hrs before the transport arrives to take us to the hotel. Called the call center few times to confirmed and they still take ages to arrives. They even mixed how its another hotel Pop Harris. No apologies and upon check in the reception only one person and theres many local checking in waited another 30 mins. Very bad service n location and just everything.
- Mohamad Najib (8/5): Awesome for budget stay - Value for money! We had awesome stay here with lots of services inclusive airport shuttle, free motorbike for 24h, breakfast and the location is in walking distance to Kuta Beach.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not waste your money or time here - Booked a room for three and there are only
Two beds, it equates that the third member had to sleep on a sofa/ledge in the room, staff reluctant to give sheets for this ledge as well.
Pool was nice but no sun, as well as this the pool had too many chemicals and was hard to open eyes.
You will not sleep if on second floor as screaming children at 6.30am is the norm.
On a positive the staff were lovely especially at a busy breakfast that can only remind you of a zoo.
- Zac (6/5): Great for those on a budget - A great hotel for those on a budget. But the shower/ bathroom was very small and often while showering would soak the clothes you planned to change into. The cubicle housing both the toilet and shower was rather small and a little dirty. The location was good however in a kind of questionable location.
- Reuben Reuben (2/5): Modern day concentration camp! - This hotel is nothing short of depressing. The rooms are tiny and there is a capsule on the side of the room which functions as a bathroom/toilet/shower combination. It feels like a prison cell! The grounds of the hotel remind me of movies I've seen about concentration camps! The building is all concrete. Completely void of any character. Why stay in a depressing place like this when you're in paradise and can easily find affordable lodging elsewhere without the gloom of this place?!!
- Tan Sing Teck (8/5): - Cheap budget hotel close to the beach. Very small 16 Sq m. But with hydro shower and colorful settings. Breakfast was simple Baliness b/f with corn flakes. Otherwise free WiFi and courteous staff was a good draw.
- lauren (8/5): Cheap stay close to beach - Nice size room, free breakfast. Could be a little cleaner but overall we enjoyed our one night stay.
- Rajkumar (10/5): Excellent hotel - Excellent budget hotel, very comfortable and clean rooms, stayed here for 4 nights !
- Bossman (2/5): Terrible - OMG by far the worst place I have stayed at anywhere. Rooms dirty and rude staff. Yes it was cheap but not that cheap. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay do yourself a favour and go elsewhere Spend that extra $10 a night and it will be like paradise compared to this hell hole.
- William (8/5): Nice, clean hotel, and good price. - Nice hotel just a little hard to find.
- Kelly (6/5): - Toilet didn't flush, and staff didnt fix it. The shower also leaked. The shower/toilet 'pod' light doesn't turn off either, even though it is meant to be an 'Eco friendly' resort. No fridge and window doesn't open. Two lifts, and one out of order.
- Bryan (6/5): Badly needs to update facilities... - Stayed 2 nights here. I'm not usually very picky/critical, as long as a hotel can deliver basic needs and offer me good sleep, but Pop! was quite disappointing. I've stayed at backpacker hostels/budget hotels that's much more cheaper yet well-maintained than this one.
Pros:
-nice concept, visually appealing esp for younger crowds
-budget-friendly
-5-10 min wall to the beach and main road
-staff offered cart ride going to the beach
-good wifi connection
Cons:
-A/C not getting cold even at lowest temperature setting
-busted sink pipes. Had to reconnect the pipes myself
-no hot shower
-towels and linens really old and stained
-window blinds also busted
-even the key card is held together by a tape
Tips:
-Hotel location not very easy to find, so better use map/GPS. Locals/taxi drivers aren't that familiar with this place
-Prepare an additional IDR 30,000 as safety deposit upon check-in (they'll refund it upon checkout)
-Free breakfast is served early, so wake up early as well
-Ask for metered taxi when going around town (would highly recommend Blue Bird taxi). Hotel has in-house transport service which I eventually found out charged me more than double the usual fare.
**Didn't bother switching rooms anyway since I'm out most of the time, and I'm too tired and lazy to repack my things. Lol.
- Mike (2/5): Good location but rooms are very small - you cant really open the window and a few days whilst we were staying there the towels were not dry and the rooms are not very clean. good value however
- Jay (2/5): the rooms are too small. and room service is bad - good value if you're on a budget otherwise stay in a nearby place is probably better
- Dustin T. (8/5): great for money - Good value , but be careful at the gift shop/store in the lobby . The prices seems to fluctuate depending on who is working
- sam (4/5): Potential, but no! - Pool was dirty, left our white clothes and nails looking blue. Room not well maintained. Shower door broken. Not very good tv reception. We found 6 staff members in our room? Apparently cleaning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pretty Okay Place to Stay - Was in Bali killing time waiting out a visa grant. Staff cordial, not overly friendly as compared to my previous (lower quality) accom. Place was nice, sterile but in a visually pleasing sort of way.
Auditory privacy good - I never heard other guests. However, windows overlooking the pool meant pool soundtrack all day + pool noises. Bed is close to the window, there is no desk/chair, so guests can easily see into your room unless you cut off your own sunlight (blackout shades).
Bathroom complaints are a result of the toilet and shower being in an enclosure with a door that rolls shut. Doesn't feel very private if you are sharing a hotel room, and if your partner is in the shower, no toilet for you! Was no problem for me.
Breakfast was okay - rice portions, carrots with bits of chicken, soup, and fried noodles. Crustless white bread, margarine, and jelly syrup. Weak coffee and tea. Breakfast hours quite strictly enforced.
Aircon kept getting stuck "on" in my room - unresponsive to the remote, despite remote interface indicating plenty of battery power.
They wanted half-a-day's rates for late checkout, a stay of a max of an extra six hours. On checkout day, I chose to leave at the normal time, but staff came to my door three times in two hours to ask if I might be ready to leave yet.
Located a few hundred meters to shops/restuarants/etc. but road/path is terrible (others said "scary") in one direction. Distance did get a bit tiresome after my 4th+ trip out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): so so - Room is very humid
there is a window, but can't open.
basin was blocked.
- Daniel (10/5): Good price, good location - Very friendly staff, hotel is close to the beach and party street
- Jordy (6/5): - Facilities: Nothing special; Value: Bargain; Service: Polite; Cleanliness: Tidy;
- Hobo125 (6/5): Cheap and pretty good - Modern looking hotel about three minutes' walk from beautiful Kuta beach. Good value for your buck, although the rooms are stripped down to the bare nececcities - the bathroom being a combined toilet and shower pod. A bit intimate if you should suffer from the almost inevitable 'Bali belly'. Great for young people on a budget!
- Eyodia (6/5): Budget hotel near Kuta Beach - The hotel was good so far. Except for the room concepts. The bathroom and amenities was disappointed.
I hope Tauzia Management will give a good bathroom. What I got was a bathroom like in the roadside.
But the staff is very helpful.
- Lauren (10/5): -
- steph (6/5): Small Rooms, dodgy area - The rooms are very small but clean. Not quite a standard single bed. Shower is in the room in a pod with the toilet. Not the most convenient of places. When showering the toilet gets very wet!! Air con leaked solution was to put a towel under the drip. Walking into the centre is a dodgy walk. Small narrow unlit road. Someone was actually mugged by a guy on a moped racing down the alley seconds away from the hotel. Close to beach although not the nicest of beaches!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel near to the beach - Located in hidden area (need a bigger signboard) but still can be find and near to the beach, can have a beach walk in the morning while the weather still nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good hotel. Handy location. Rooms and pool are fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Had another great experience! Thanks to the people - Loved it. Good pool good people good breakfast I'll miss
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean comfortable room, pool is nice, breakfast offering probably won't be for everyone. Good wifi. Very friendly staff.
- Stevany (8/5): Comfy beds - I will stay again
- Kim (4/5): Cheap & cheerful. You get what you pay for. - No phone, no fridge. I should not be surprised given the price. In the back streets of Kuta. Very difficult to get into & out of. Again, not surprising, given the price. Will not stay here again.
- Alexander (10/5): Excellent value, great staff - A great stop for a young family. Walking distance to the beach and numerous convenience stores and tasty restaurants with reasonable prices. Pool is clean and breakfast bite was a great start to the day. It was just all that we needed -- the great price gave us extra money to spend on surf lessons! The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice budget hotel - We stayed on the top level which had a nice view. Clean room and free breakfast were beyond our expectation. The only downside was the location. The lane was narrow and had a lot of traffic jams.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good Over Night Stop - As a place to crash at 1am after a flight into Bali before jumping on a 11am boat to Lembongan POP was perfect! Clean bed & a hot shower what more could you need at $45 a night :)
The toilet was broken & you could hear through the walls - but like I said it's the perfect 1night crash stop.
Staff were so friendly.
If your not planning on spending any time in your hotel except to sleep then POP is perfect and the price is great
- Verified traveler (4/5): Value for money - Economical
- gcass (10/5): great little hotel - fantastic basic hotel.. well located and very clean
- Jonathan (10/5): - Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Fantastic; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless;
love the cool looking timemachine showers lol
- E-Jei (6/5): Nice hotel to stay but too far to the main rd - Nice and comfy but location is not what we hoped for. Too deserted. And when we asked for a taxi at night, hotel staff claimed that there's no taxi. So we had no choice but to walk all the way, through the poorly lighted small road.
- Lee (8/5): Comfortable & Clean Room with all necessities - Excellent service and very comfortable room all basic amenities. Beautiful pool with very good cleanliness. The distance from the hotel to the beach was reasonable, but the path/road towards the hotel was secluded.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly, Nice, and Clean - Friendly staff, clean amenities, and value for money. I was only in Bali for a few days due to a family tragedy finding a clean and value for money hotel made my experience much better, fully recommend.
- AlohaAquaHi (6/5): good for the price - cheap, clean and close to the beach. nice affordable restaraunts closeby.
- lokal (8/5): excellent staff - fantastic for the money. young but absolutely awesome staff. great location.
- SamuraiSurfer (10/5): Excellent service, cleanliness and convenience! - My fiance and I spent 4 days and 3 nights here, and in short, it was so good we'll probably be back because we doubt there is another hotel which matches in terms of value for money. Here's a short summary:
Cleanliness:
Room and pool were very clean. No feeling grossed out whatsoever.
Service/Facilities:
Extremely warm and helpful staff. Always smiley.
Also, we were pleasantly surprised that our room's bed was made and new towels provided every time we came back despite it being a 'budget' hotel.
Lastly, our shower head broke off due to wear and tear. We let the counter staff know when we left for the day, and when we returned, it was replaced. And no, we weren't charged for it.
Most importantly, once, in our rush we left the hotel with some, or should I say, quite a bit, of cash exposed on the sitting bed. When we returned, the beds were made, new towels were there, and our cash was 100% untouched. Awesome stuff.
Convenience:
Scooter rental, food and shops, ALL within 5 minutes walk. And if you rent a scooter, which is incredibly cheap, the beach and surf is 5 minutes ride away.
- dnykaka (8/5): nice hotel but hard to find and the road was smal - Thanks for great services, we enjoy staying at POP hotel, the hotel was amazing.
i will back !!! :)
- DelbyC (6/5): Great hotel to use on last day before flying out - We booked POP as had a midnight flight, great hotel to leave luggage and shower/pack before flying out. Really close to Kuta and Legian. Could def stay longer if we wanted a budget holiday to Bali!
- Egan (8/5): - Great Hotel --hard to access with car (Really, go to this hotel with motorcycle if you dont want to get stuck in the middle of your way to the hotel) --Hotel is good, and they served breakfast too :) Only a couple minute to Kuta Beach
- Sharyn (8/5): Good clean budget hotel for price - Pros:
- cheap
- clean rooms
- reasonable room size
- daily housekeeping
- good pool with hoop and 2 balls
- cable tv
- near kuta beach (5min walk)
- walkable distance to Beachwalk and Kuta Square
- wifi at lobby
Cons:
- need to walk a while through a very narrow alley from main road
- no wifi in the room I was in
- toilet is small, like a pod
- Patricia (6/5): Not for travellers with suitcases - There were no drawers, no hanging space except hooks on wall. "Small bite" in the morning was aimed at Asian tastes, eg. rice wrapped in banana leaves. Tea and coffee good.. Noisy late at night when guests arrived after a night out. The daily clean was superficial at best.... hand basin was not wiped once during my stay there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Naisee - Great funky hotel with awesome futuristic-like design.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Place To Stay - comfy bed, nice room, near the beach and the kuta main street.. and very cheap price...
- Sulty (6/5): Very decent for a short stay... - We took on this hotel because we just wanted maximum 1-2 days at Kuta Beach. If we stayed in our hotel for more than 2 hours at any given time (minus sleeping) we would have wasted our time at Kuta... We didn't stay in this hotel if we weren't showering or sleeping, so for that reason - it was WONDERFUL to be at. I just want to be honest about the appearance. It was fine, but our fawcet leaked, and that was annoying, and we could have done with a lot more toiletries, but honestly, I would definitely go back and use them again. I really really would. Don't take these numbers as a dis to the hotel. The breakfast was cool, the pool was nice, and that bathroom pod was GREAT! I would love to install and create one in our future home when we move back to North America. I like POP - I really do.
- Ian (10/5): Fantastic Stay at POP Hotel Kuta Beach - My wife and I really enjoyed our five night stay at POP Hotel. We have been travelling for almost a year. In that time we have stayed in a wide variety of accommodation but this is our first review because the standard of the service and the staff at POP were by far the best that we have encountered. The hotel itself is well placed near to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants and was very easy to find. The room was spotless. The pool was great, And the breakfast, although different to what we are used to eating, was a pleasant surprise. It was a five minute walk to the beach where we hired surfboards for about three pounds (50,000 IDR). We are very pleased that we stayed here and would recommend it to our friends without hesitation.
- melza (8/5): Nice budget hotel - Staff were great, rooms were comfortable but I found it quite noisy as the walls seemed too thin could hear the tv in the next room and also the doors didn't go right to the floor so could hear people as they walked down the hallways.
- Eadie (8/5): Family Review Point - The hotel is quite near the Kuta beach by walking distance 10 mins. There also alot of 24 hours store to purchase drinks and food.
Suitable for budget traveller and family too.
Below are the things which not provided by the hotel - you might need to bring alone with you
a) hair blower
b) Themo flash - Keep hot water (for baby)
Worth to stay with the price we pay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent for short stays - POP was a great place to stay overnight after our long flight before we ventured to the gilis. It is clean and tidy. It is ideal for short term stays and very well priced. The rooms are very small and there is minimal storage space but all in all it's great. Very friendly staff as well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): No regret - We booked two rooms in the hotel and our family's verdicts are....no regret. The hotel is value for money. The location is very good. The local type breakfast was good and the taste of the local coffee, smooth. However, only one minor hiccup on human error... sometimes the used towel was not replace. I guess this was due to peak season and the hotel was fully booked. I will definitely recommend my friends to this hotel. :-)
- Gail (8/5): A Good Stay - This is pack packer level accommodation, so do not expect a 5 star resort. Having said that the locality was good, the price was amazing and apart from our room , where the staff seemed to only pull up the bed each day , the rest of the hotel was kept extremely clean and the staff were very helpful . Breakfast as advertised is Balinese, but as people used to a different diet we really enjoyed the experience.
I would reccommend POP.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for a stopover - For the price of the room you can't really complain. Only problem we had was other guests making too much noise at 2am.
- Kim & Melinda (8/5): We enjoyed it! - We enjoyed our stay at the POP and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. You certainly get your monies worth. Please remember firm mattresses, no fridge, good aircon in room not breezeways, safe and free Wi-Fi in room with all in one pod bathroom and TV. Drinks & food are available on the pool deck. Free breakfast is tea/coffee, light rice meal & bread rolls. Good cheap restaurants are nearby 2 mins walk towards Legian Street. You need to be able to walk as it is down safe alleyways-about 5mins walk in from Kuta Beach Road (shops)and a bit longer in from Legian or Melasti St (restaurants &some stalls). If you want a resort this is not for you. If you want somewhere to rest your head that is colourful, comfortable, quiet, clean and friendly then the POP is for you.
- Leo (6/5): -
I had crutches and I didnt receive much help
- Peter (8/5): Simple, clean & comfortable - stayed here many times on account of the good value of the place. Excellent beds, good aircon, good staff.
- Florian (8/5): Nice place to stay - Very nice and clean Hotel, only regret was there is no balcony or window that opens, you are stuck with air conditioning. The beach is close 5 minute walk at a slow pace, Follow the POP hotel signs and you will find the hotel.
- Bebash (6/5): comfy beds - i was on my holiday trip in Bali and want to stay in another week. So i chose to stay in a budget hotel since I need to alocate my pocket money for another things, diving course, shopping and cullinary. POP was one of many options. It was difficult to find the location though it said in the map that the hotel was 1 km from Kuta beach, 500m from the Beachwalk mall, etc. It was literally behind all of the big fancy buildings around Kuta. When I got there, I was release a little bit because the room is okay. I like the interior and the bed was comfy ^_^ This hotel doesnt provide laundry service so you have to walk out from the hotel to find local laundry service around the hotel by yourself. breakfast (they called it "morning bite") is a complimentary. You can choose 1 out of 2 balinese menu (usually different kind of rice wrapped in banana leaf), or plain bun bread and coffee or tea. It served between 7-9.30 AM. If you missed one minute, they have gone. Some staff were good but some were nasty. They dont know who you are but they only assume that people that choose to stay in a budget hotel like POP were UNIMPORTANT COMMON PEOPLE. It can tell from the look in their eyes. Overall, I would say I wont stay at POP Kuta Bali again, once I come to Bali sometimes.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not a strategic location in kuta - Overall it's good, just we found d bed linen did not clean well on d 1st day, gt stain of lipstick/blood (no idea),but lucky they did their room service daily, new n clean bed linen were changed after we came back to our room.
But unfortunately to say the only disadvantage is the location. It was hide deep inside d small lane. It's very far to walk to the main road to search for nice food, shopping area and even the beach ( its located above the main road) especially night time, the lane is dark and quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): SUPERB!! - superb and money value. my room view to swimming pool, very nice. the pay also include free breakfast. if i visit bali by next week, i will stay here again.
- carlito (4/5): not bad - Maybe better pop hotel just give one piece bread and coffee /tea for breakfast. The price is too expensive for that quality,if you're a walk in customer. So book first in hotel.com,or internet booking service to get the best price.
- lloyd (8/5): reasonable value - beware of meal vouchers not cover breakfast Original hotel room price does not show the tax and service charges till you enter the final booking
- B (8/5): Good, cheap, sleepout - Firstly bed and pillows are super comfy and location is free from traffic and roads, so peaceful at night. Breakfast indonesian and simple. Location inbetween beach and legian road. Not the best for eating places and shopping, but not too far. Hotel staff were reasonable, but not amazing. First night our room did not have wifi and they changed our room for the rest of the stay. For the price good value.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very Pleased with POP - POP was the most reasonably priced hotel I could find in the Kuta/Legian area that was of good quality. Even after I arrived and looked around for a better option, I could not find one. I returned to the area two more times over the next two weeks after taking side trips and chose POP each time. The room is clean and has everything you need. The location is pretty good as you turn right for the beach and left for the bars/restaurants. Still, it is a few minutes to walk anywhere and the hotel is situated in a weird location down very narrow side roads. I would absolutely recommend POP to anybody who is on a budget, but doesn't want the hostel experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good and clean hotel POP! - The hotel and the room are well maintained ......the staff are super friendly and did help me to recommend some good side seeing place.....
- stayce (8/5): friendly staff and good location - new modern hotel with very friendly staff and convinience location. will definitely go back again.
- ALLAN (8/5): Awesome - Quite comfortable staying at this hotel. Problem is the location. Have to walk quite a distance to shopping and restaurant. Anyway, I still enjoy my stay here. Hotel is nice and friendly staff and clean surrounding. Room is comfortable and good air- cond and WI-FI . Will come back again........
- Paula (8/5): Good hotel for value and location - Pop hotel was basic but great value for money staff were excellent and really friendly spoke fantastic English! Only downsides no balcony and rooms weren't cleaned thoroughly enough in whole two weeks of stay pots weren't cleaned or shower and sinks! Had to ask to have beds changed and never any loo roll which was inconvient on plus side great location close to beach and bars
- Firdaus (10/5): Regarding the hotel. Recommended - If u want your life to be good. Dont forget to tip them.
You'll never regret what you gave. They'll clean your room. And extra special care on your room.
The will be honest. Dun have to worry a thing.. Tip one guy. That guy will care for your room.
I had an awesome exprience with POP Hotel. With superb tour reception service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): GREAT LOCATION! PLEASANT SURPRISES SURROUND HOTEL - Overall an acceptable experience for it's price. Go with minimal expectations and enjoy the island, not the hotel. You'll be surprised at how accessible and fun area the hotel is in.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel itself is above average. An inconvenience is the location as it take a long walk of drive way from main street to the hotel. However, it provides a quite environement at night for a good sleep. It has a feel of a hostel rather than a hotel. No phone in room or even lobby can be used is a great inconvenience.
- selvi (8/5): coluorful hotel - very nice hotel great price n comfortable
- danr (8/5): Can't be unsatisfied - Nice hotel, professional staff, perfect service, good price.
Beware of pickpockets at motorbike when you go to the hotel in night alone ( pathway along walls, direction to the west from the hotel)). They go and suddenly stop close to you and check your pockets. It is my only one negative experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): low cost great hotel - Low cost and great hotel. right choose for traveller going to bali. Only 5mnt walk to kuta beach
- Jin (8/5): worth trying - location is quite strategic. walk out about 5 minutes, there is a convenient store already. Need to walk further for happening area like hardrock hotel. You can walk via 2 way, 1 is turn left pass through legian street, another way is turn right walking along the beach. Personally I prefer walking along jalan legian as the beach road is quite dark in the night and the vehicle is faster. There is more things to explore via legian street.
Hotel provide free morning bite (nasi bungkus) which is quite nice also. Lobby is hot without air conditional.
There is pc for internet surfing in the lobby.
value for money, not luxury but it has all the basic necessity.
- Tobini (8/5): Pop Kuta - Easy, convenient, walking distance to Kuta & Legian
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I am very happy and satisfy to stay with POP Harris but just not really get used with the food.
- Carly (8/5): Great Overnight Stay destination - Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and well priced. Stayed with a group of 12 for 2 nights and no one had any complaints.
- Anna (8/5): Nice hotel but not optimal for kids - Staff was friendly, room and pool were very clean. But as for families with small kids the hotel is not so good as the hotel was playing loud music in the corridors every night until 9-10 pm. They serve local breakfast but, again it was not suitable for small kids as it was too spicy.
- Anthony B (10/5): Better than expected - The hotel was much better than I actually expected it to be. The only downfalls of the hotel is that the location can be difficult to find (expect cabs to play stupid and not know where they are going), and the location is "in the middle of everything" but because of this expect traffic to be a NIGHTMARE, and know that you can ONLY connect to the wifi on TWO devices at an given time, so if there is more than 1 phone and 1 laptop - just know that nothing else will be allowed to connect.
- Verified traveler (8/5): We love POP! - Nice people. Clean hotel. Maybe just would like more of a variety of western foods for breakfast.
