It’s our first time staying here, but it already feels like a new home from home. The whole place has this calm, elegant energy — relaxed yet beautifully done — and you instantly switch off. Tami and her team have looked after us so incredibly well. Warm, attentive, thoughtful… nothing is too much trouble. It’s that genuine care that makes all the difference. And the massage? Honestly one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Pure bliss. I can’t rate it highly enough. We’ve officially found our Seminyak spot. 🤍

The room is not beautiful at all and lacks refinement. The price is exorbitant; for the quality of the services, it should be at least three times cheaper. There’s a terrible noise in the pool area. Nothing works in this hotel — everything needs to be reviewed. It absolutely doesn’t deserve its 9.1 rating

Despite being right in the heart of Seminyak—just steps away from trendy cafés, restaurants, and even the beach—the hotel itself feels like a peaceful sanctuary. The rooms are incredibly spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, making our stay very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The outdoor pool area is serene and never crowded, perfect for relaxing after a day out, and the fitness center was a great bonus for those who like to stay active while traveling. Overall, this boutique property is perfect for couples or honeymooners looking for a romantic yet convenient escape in Seminyak. We would love to come back again on our next trip to Bali!

• PMTQ (10/5): Another wonderful stay at The Colony Seminyak - How wonderful to be returning to this hotel, an oasis in busy Seminyak. The Club rooms are outstanding with huge beds, high ceilings, grand bathroom with separate bath, double sinks, fluffy large towels-replaced twice a day. Amazing value for money, great pool, fabulous staff who always willing to help, especially Tami! Close to Seminyak Square (300m) and various restaurants. It’s like home away from home.
• paffytripper (6/5): NICE HOTEL BUT YOU CANNOT IGNORE THE NEGATIVES! - We have just checked out of the Colony hotel after a 6 night stay. We had stayed at the hotel some 10 years previous and were looking forward to our reunion. The hotel is well located with a number of good eateries nearby. However, the holiday did not start well as we arranged a hotel pick up that did not arrive! After waiting around an hour and calling the hotel we were sent another driver and chauffeured to the hotel. Check in was fine and the room very nice, albeit needing some love care and attention. But this did not prepare us for the night ahead. A birthday party had booked out a wing of the hotel (so the hotel upgraded our stay to a club suite) and proceeded to play ear splitting music until 3am! This was followed a couple of nights later by another evening of loud music which we were told was until 8pm but was still going strong at 9pm. The hotel management seemed powerless to stop this so we needed to take our own evasive action. Apart from that you have the local club that play techno music every night until 1.00am Despite specifically requesting a ‘quiet room’ next to our room were two building sites that had contractors constantly hammering from 8:30 to 4pm!! No advance warning was given by the hotel of this or the nightclub or the birthday music. In defence of the hotel they kindly gave us a return car transfer and waived our late room charge, which was appreciated. So if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday stay, please choose again. This is not the place for you right now!

• Satomi (6/5): - ロケーションはとても良いですが、コスパを考えるとなかなか高いです。 今回、サヌール→ウブド→スミニャックと3箇所を移動しましたが、こちらの滞在費が1番高い一方で満足度は1番低いです。価格が半額であれば妥当です。 1泊2.7万円でプライベートビーチもない、プールビューでもない、滞在者向けのサービスもない、朝食も非常に簡素、と値段に見合ったサービスではなかったです。 唯一良かった点はスミニャックビレッジにもビーチにも徒歩圏内ですぐにアクセスできることですが、現地のタクシー価格を考えると必ずしもこちらを選ぶ必要はないです。 スミニャックやチャングーはほとんどショッピングで外出してると思うのでもう少しリーズナブルなホテルやヴィラを選ぶと良いです。

The biggest drawback is the night club which is located a few houses away. It‘s very noisy (loud music) until 2 am. Luckily we could change rooms. However we still needed earplugs to sleep.

The whole atmosphere is very relaxing with two excellent pools and a club lounge if you are staying in a club room. There are drinks and canapés served daily from 5 to 6pm. The daily breakfast was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the local items - nasi goreng and mee goreng. I will definitely return.

• Ashreign (10/5): Vibes and aesthetic - I booked this hotel on an impromptu trip with a friend the same day as travel. We then had another friend join us a day later and the extra cost for another person to stay in the room (we had booked the suite) was so reasonable. The place isn’t perfect but the flaws and faults are too small to warrant knocking it back a star. For the odd fixture that wasn’t perfect it was made up by impeccable service. The vibes and the aesthetic are on point. Both pools are wonderfully inviting. We had not issues with noise and the location was excellent. I generally don’t like to stay in the same place twice because there is so much to experience in Bali but seriously reconsidering my stance on this with The Colony Hotel.

I’ve just returned from a five-night stay and felt quietly welcomed from the moment I arrived. My deluxe suite on the second floor overlooked the pool, with my balcony beautifully concealed by Frangipani. The room was tastefully decorated with elegant artwork and Asian-inspired books, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches—fresh flowers in the bathroom, a daily selection of fresh fruit, and, of course, an espresso machine. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and while the room had a large TV, I much preferred relaxing on the balcony. Each morning, a freshly prepared breakfast was served, adding to the overall sense of warmth and hospitality. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and boutique shops. While there was some noise from nearby bars and clubs, the hotel itself remained a tranquil haven. • Aussie09Sydney (10/5): Perfect in every way! - We have recently had another perfect stay at The Colony Hotel at Seminyak. It truly is a tropical paradise. This was my 3rd visit and I have already booked again for 2025. Tami, Putu, Rahul?, and all the staff go over and beyond to make your holiday happy and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. They all work tirelessly to keep the hotel spotless, and their guest’s comfort is priority. We stayed in the club one bedroom suite room upstairs looking over the pool. This room is massive and just beautiful! There is a lush tree just outside the veranda for shade and privacy which was my fave spot to sit and read. I have stayed in or looked at various rooms at the Colony and you cannot go wrong with any of them. All are so beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable with all inclusions. The location is perfect for Seminyak. Close to the beach, restaurants, Seminyak Square is just around the corner - yet when you return to the hotel it’s a little oasis and so welcoming. I am already looking forward so much to returning next year!

• Charity (10/5): - Had a very comfortable stay here. The customer service was excellent and the staff were extremely accommodating. They arranged my all my transportation, allowed for early check in and late check out and even upgraded my room! They went above and beyond when I got a case of Bali belly and provided me with remedies to aid in my recovery. Very appreciate of their kindness and service. Highly recommend.
• Redlich (9/5): Classy hotel in Seminyak - The hotel is a stylish, quiet haven in the bustle of Seminyak. Service is exceptional and staff very friendly. Shout out manager Tami. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we are used to. This is a personal preference.

• LisaCicchine (10/5): Home from home - The hotel is like a home from home everyone is so welcoming . We stayed in a club room perfect size clean comfy beds beautifully decorated and a lovely pool . Breakfast options are perfect best scrambled eggs I've had . You have the added extra of comp wine beer at 5pm to 6pm in the club lounge such a nice added extra and perfect at the end of the day. You cant fault this hotel for its location perfect for la lucciola .. sea circus .. hotel mexicola and a quick walk to eat street . You do hear music from the nearby bars but you do adapt after your first night and noise is expected in such a perfect location . Tammy the hotel manager and all her staff make you feel like you are their only guests . We will be back !

• Jacob (8/5): Pretty, great location, but not a lot of privacy. - Property is beautiful and pool is great. I have had a great time at the colony previously but this time I felt a little bit like an after thought. There were worms coming out my shower.
• Totofore (6/5): Comfy hotel but smelly water - We stayed two nights at the Club of the Colony Hotel, and took two connecting rooms. Location is strategic but can be a bit loud in the evening, as it's a Club. Everything was perfect as the room was nicely decorated and cozy, but for whatever reasons the water coming out of the tab smelled like sewage. We told the reception and was told to let the tap opened for a while - to no avail, it still smelled bad.
• Sheena (8/5): Lovely boutique hotel centrally located - Staff were super friendly and helpful for my short stay. Walking distance to main shopping strip, bars and cafes. Hotel has a lovely boutique feel about it, tasteful decor and nice little pool.bed very comfortable ! There was a smell from the drain thar was hard to ignore although it did go away after a little while. Poolside room was a little noisy with the running water and cats around but to be expected in a busy location

Coffee machine in room broken (2nd year in row), safe didn’t work, water jug and towels in gym irregularly refilled, breakfast service appalling, staff not particularly friendly. Won’t return again.

We had started our trip at another hotel which we were not happy with and we were very pleased to be able to get a room at very short notice.

• Hs656409 (10/5): A wonderful, relaxing, child free boutique hotel. - The Colony Hotel, Seminyak I stayed 6 nights in this wonderful hotel in early June 2024. Location: This boutique hotel is centrally located in Seminyak, one street back from Petitenget Beach, close to many restaurants, massage parlors, shops and beach clubs. Check-in and Check-out: I arrived at 10:30pm, so the night manager did the check-in. I was shown a choice of two (2) rooms and got to pick which one I preferred. Both check-in and check-out were quick and easy, with a wonderful welcome/ farewell from the staff. Room Facilities: My Club wing “Premier” room (#53) was on the ground floor, within 5 metres of the edge of the club pool. My room was large and well-appointed, elegantly furnished in the colonial style of the property. The front patio had comfortable seating for up to three (3) people. Overall, it was an extremely comfortable hotel to stay at. The bathroom was large and functional, with a spacious walk-in shower. The only thing missing from the room was a dedicated work desk, but there was a small table that I was able to use. The complimentary wi-fi was reliable but a little slow when I uploaded my photos. Hotel Facilities: This boutique hotel has two small pools, one “exclusive use” pool in the Club wing and one “general use” pool in the Colony wing. There are ample sunbeds and plenty of shade areas surrounding the pools. There was a small but functional gym that I used most days. Everything at this boutique hotel is proportionate to its size. The lobby and the breakfast restaurant are compact but welcoming and functional. The Hotel Staff: Perhaps the most memorable thing about the Colony Hotel is the wonderful service provided by its staff. From the manager Tami down to the gardeners, all staff made a huge effort to ensure that I had a wonderful experience at the Colony. This was probably the best hotel experience I have ever had in relation to high quality service. A great team. The Club Lounge: Happy hour at the Club Lounge went from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Beer and wine were on offer, along with some very basic canapes/ finger foods. Most food was vegetarian style during my stay, and to be honest a little disappointing. The wine on offer was not particularly to my taste either. There were only two choices, one a Chardonnay, and the other a red wine (not sure what variety). On most nights of my stay only a few people attended Happy Hour. On two nights I was the only one there. Perhaps this was a reflection of the quality of food and wine selections available. Breakfast: The daily breakfast comprised of a small buffet style selection featuring juice, coffee, tea, fruit, bread and cakes. The main breakfast was ordered from a limited menu. Daily specialties were on offer, including things like eggs benedict. I enjoyed this style of breakfast because the food was delivered to my table hot and fresh straight from the kitchen. Overall: This small, functional and stylish boutique hotel is in a great location, with superior levels of customer service provided by a small team of dedicated staff. The “adults only” feature was to my liking, not because I don’t enjoy children’s company, but because it was so relaxing to be surrounded by peace and quiet for my short stay.
• Janieblakey (10/5): Fabulous hotel in the best location in Seminyak - Another exceptional stay at The colony. Once again such great hospitality from the wonderful team at The Colony. The hotel’s glorious location also is in the heart of Seminyak so you can walk to all the gorgeous shops, cool beach clubs and lots of lovely restaurants. The breakfast is also great, as always the staff were so charming. We had the most exquisite suite, which was incredibly well appointed, prestine, absolutely huge with a fabulous bed and beautiful, luxurious bathroom. We also loved the Wellness Center, with well equipped gym. This hotel has you absolutely hooked, as returning guests, it never fails to disappoint. Just can’t recommend The Colony highly enough. A special thanks to Tammy for always making us feel so valued as a returning guest. We will be back!
