That aside, the rooms are nice and actually more spacious than most hotels at this price point. The AC worked very well, and the staff was great and spoke good english. There is even a gym as well, and a grocery store super close by (as well as countless amazing bakeries and restaurants). Truly a great hotel for a good price point.

The hotel had a great breakfast and several small extras that made a huge difference for a great vacation: Free coffee and hot chocolate machine and a free cool and soarkling water cooler. - Spencer (8/5): Solid Choice - Hotel Le Mareuil was a nice stay overall. The building is very small and the rooms are smaller - the status quo in paris. Is you have large luggage, you will have to do some juggling to fit in the room. The staff was very kind and welcoming and the area was safe and near multiple metro stops. The elevator did go out on our stay which was inconvenient - especially when we had to bring out luggage back down. Overall a positive experience.

- Jennifer (10/5): - We had such a lovely stay at Le Mareuil that we decided to book it again for when we return from a sojourn elsewhere. The staff is so kind and attentive, the room was comfortable, very clean, and nicely appointed, breakfast was very good, and the recommendations for restaurants nearby were just right. The location in our opinion was fantastic—just outside the marais, so not as crowded, although there were plenty of nearby places that Parisians seemed to frequent. But the hotel, on a small street not far from the Place du Republique, was a quiet oasis.

I wouldn't run back to Hotel Le Mareuil. Nothing particularly special or memorable. Also a bit pricey for what it was. Even in the middle of Paris.

Hotel Mareuil is perfectly located to still go to all the sites but explore great neighborhoods too. Despite being off a busy road, rooms are quiet. Rooms are clean, tasteful, modern and efficient (though all Paris hotel bathrooms can seem small to Americans). Staff very helpful and kind. Did not take breakfast but great boulangerie Utopie a block away.

Rooms are clean. booked 2 connecting rooms for 4 pax, the connecting rooms are 2 separate rooms with a main door. Each room is relatively small in size, fit only 2 pax max and it would be ok if you do not have big luggages. Good if dental kits are provided in hotel room instead of upon request only. Opted for 1 morning breakfast as we needed to catch an early flight. Hotel Breakfast started at 7am, while cafe outside usually starts ard 830-9am. Spread is basic and sufficient for a breakfast. Excellent location.

Only complaint, guy at front desk refused to speak english at check in. French being french, I guess he believes his language is in some form superior eventhough english or spanish have way more speakers. Rest of staff was very pleasant.

From our arrival where we were informed of all the hotel had to offer to the large, air-conditioned room with a charming view of the rooftops of the 11th arrondissement, I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Paris. The 6th floor room was spacious but charming with lots of storage for our clothes and souvenir purchases, two small walk-out balconies, dining table for two, and desk. The bathroom included an accessible shower with great water pressure. Location was in a peaceful side street but close to two different metro stops and lots of restaurants of many styles and price points. We also used the wash service and this was quick and efficient. I cannot say enough about the friendly staff and our wonderful experience here for the 2024 Olympics!

- Elaine (10/5): Hidden Gem - All of the staff, especially Harold at check-in, were lovely. I was upgraded to a room on the 6th floor, which was quiet (except for other guests who don’t seem to know how to close a door without letting it slam shut) and had everything I needed, including a soaking bathtub - perfect after long flights and days full of walking. Are room sizes grand? No. That is how things are, but what is important is that it is super clean and comfortable. There is also a sauna available for guests. You’ll find robes provided in your room. The 24-hour espresso machine is a plus. In the past, I chose hotels as close to Gare du Nord as possible for convenience to CDG airport and the trains going everywhere. However, this location is ++!! I used to live in the 5th & 20th, so it was nice to learn the area around République better. It’s super walkable and much less busy. I did not opt for the breakfast, as I wanted to get out and try as many bakeries and restaurants as possible, but the dining room looked nice. To my fellow vegans: Go to Land & Monkeys (see photo with espresso at the hotel), Cloud Cakes bakeries - grab some meals to go at either for your flight home; dinners at Aujourd’hui Demain & Soya Canteen… all within 10-25 mins walking distance. I have already recommended this hotel to friends who plan to visit Paris soon, and when I return, Hotel Le Mareuil will be my first choice!

Only downside was renovations happening so gym was out of order which I had been looking forward to using and only told one week before but apart from that , hotel was perfect in a great area for metro / restaurants etc . Lovely area will definitely be back

- Verified traveler (10/5): Paris delight - Great hotel with very friendly & helpful check-in staff. Very conveniently located within a couple of minutes walk from two Metro stations (Republique & Oberkampf) and close to many restaurants, bakeries & small supermarkets. Breakfast is not complimentary but there is free tea, coffee & hot chocolate throughout the day (in the ground floor) available for guests. The family interconnecting rooms are fantastic. The room sizes are very reasonable for Paris standards and the beds are very comfortable. There is a shower & toilet and a small fridge in each room with 2 complimentary bottles of water. The WiFi is stable and fast and the location is quiet. Highly recommended!

- Joshua (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even took our luggage as we arrived early in the day. The room A/C was comfortable and the accommodations perfect for our needs. Wifi was adequate and it was easy to get to several metro lines. The neighborhood around had lots of food options. We appreciate how quiet the neighborhood was. No loud restaurants or heavy smoking nearby.

- Sam (8/5): Lovely little family find - Fantastic set up for a family of four as we had interconnecting rooms almost like a mini apartment. Lovely location with nice restaurants in the area and easy access to Metro. Nice decor with little touches. Service lovely. We did have a problem with one of the bathrooms but the reception said they would fix immediately.
- Jonathon (10/5): - Our family of 4 had the interconnecting rooms at the hotel. Perfect for our family. The rooms are small, but very clean and beds are comfortable. The TV's had no english channels to keep kids occupied whilst we chilled in the rooms. The area felt safe and only a few minutes walk to Oberkampf Metro Station. The staff are great and booked taxis when asked. I would definitely stay again if in Paris.
