• Stay67430217938 (10/5): Great, clean, safe hotel that didn't disappoint for the price point. - We were visiting Montreal for a concert as a family, traveling 10 hours to get there. We first intended to camp, however at the last minute, decided to find a hotel due to the extremely hot weather. We were not disappointed with this hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and felt safe. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and they went above and beyond to make our visit pleasant. Front desk attendant Nancy was extremely helpful with giving us some help to figure out the transit and metro stations, and was so friendly! Would stay again if we come back to Montreal.

• jocelyncD7466RZ (10/5): Everything I needed and wanted: clean, safe, and great service - I have been staying in one of Motel du Fleuve's long-term apartments and have had a really great experience. -Super friendly and responsive staff. -Very clean and modern room. -Any of my requests or questions have been immediately answered and addressed by the owner in French or English. -The outdoor pool is well maintained and very nice to have easy access to in the summer months. -I feel safe in my room and on-site which is very important to me. -Amazing location: beautiful view of the river, nice path along the water for walking/biking right there, 7-minute drive to a grocery store and shopping on South Shore, and 15-minute drive/Uber to downtown Montreal.
• Rb1980-0412 (2/5): Stole my money - On the night of August 20, I was able to book a room at over $400 for 1 night on Hotels.com. It was a very busy night in Montreal area and hotels were definitely at a premium. I had just missed a connection at the Montreal airport but was lucky enough to find a room at Motel Du Fleuve....it was 10:29pm when my booking was approved and I was sent confirmation. On the confirmation email, I was informed that check-in was only open from 3:00pm-10:00pm...yet they took my money at 10:29pm. I immediately called the hotel multiple times to no avail and left messages. I contacted hotels.com and they tried contacting them as well, no answer. In the end, 18 days later, we were eventually told that rules were rules and they were keeping my money. What a terrible experience to top off an already frustrating night.

• handomal (10/5): Overnight stay - Came across this motel while looking for a nights stay in Montreal while on a road trip. The room was clean and comfortable. Right outside our room was the river with seats and picnic tables around. But what stood out most was the lady on reception the day we arrived and left. She was very friendly and helpful going that extra mile to help us with directions and places to eat etc. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. Definitely worth considering if looking for a reasonably priced place to stay while in Montreal
• NicoleCOshawa (10/5): What a find! - Was so happy to come across this little gem of a hotel, sweet backdrop with a path along the river. We went for just the night to see if we liked Montreal, this little hotel is right across the river and just a short drive to the port and old city. The lady running the desk spoke perfect English and was so pleasant and accommodating. She shared with us the information on the local transit, about the motel's wi-fi and the pool. My son and I did go for a dip the pool area was very clean. The room although small suited our needs perfectly and we were close to the other two things we were interested in St Hubert's and the BioSphere. Check out was a breeze, Thank you!! I have already reccomended you to family and friends.

Save your money for a place that cares about its customers. - TV has not working the whole duration of my stay. It kept switching on and off constantly every few secs. I made several complaints & nothing was done about it for few days.It took them 4 whole days before they finally took notice (I was only there for 6 days). - Manager offered me pathetic compensation options: 10$ a night 🙄 40 measly dollars compensation after spending $600+ on a crap room with no TV and poor service. - Manager made excuses for the poor behavior of his staff, which I found to be rude, smug and have a mocking attitude - Room is not clean. Dust balls on the mugs and coffee area. hair on the sheets. bugs in the toilet. Looked like room had not been cleaned in a while. Spiderwebs cover the seats outside the rooms. Small spider found in room. - Room In serious need of renovation. Bed cover looks like they have not been changed in decades, it’s like we stepped back in time. Colors & lighting are depressing. - Location not great with no restaurants close by. Quite far from downtown if you don’t have a car. Very hard to access via PT - I know this is obviously not a 5star hotel but for the price I was paying per night, the standards should have been MUCH higher. -Only redeeming factor is it is close to a beautiful river. Also, Joanna was a lovely lady receptionist at the desk! - If you work in the customer service industry, then customers service and satisfaction should be your focus.

Le lendemain, mon fils s’est levé avec la gastro. Nous devions resté deux nuits, mais vu les circonstances, nous avons décidé de retourner à la maison. J’ai été voir la dame pour lui expliquer la situation et lui demander si elle pouvait nous rembourser la deuxième nuit. Elle nous a répondu qu’elle en parlerait avec son superviseur et nous rappellerait. 3h plus tard, nous avons eu son appel pour nous dire qu’il ne ferait pas de remboursement. Par contre sur l’application Hotels.com je reçois seulement une nuit à cumulé pour l’obtention d’une nuit gratuite!!!! J’ai payé pour deux nuits pourtant???? Alors, si j’ai à séjourné à Montréal à nouveau, ce ne sera certainement pas à ce motel.

The reception desk was very nice and helpful. Only one thing bothered us: the coffee maker was dirty (so we didn't use it). We went for a little walk along the water - nice bike trail. Overall, if all you're looking for is a cheap place to stay, this is great value for the money.

• Antonio (10/5): First Canada Trip - My stay was very good. Front desk lady was very nice honest and helpful person. She gave me instructions to the motel over the phone cause my cell phone plan stopped working in Canada which is a foreign country. I'm from New York and this was my first trip to Canada which was wonderful. The motel is very clean and it's basically an apartment. There is a clean outdoor pool and a small bar with video games, even tho I didn't use both due to exploring Canada and lack of time. Also the bed was very comfy and the furnishings are new. I slept well. The only concerns I had was the harmless tiny moths that was attracted to the light. At first they came as a shock but they're really harmless and don't bite. They only come out at night when the weather is hot. The only other concern was my card key lost activation and I couldn't help but wonder what would've happen if I came back at 2am since the front desk closes around 1am. I suggest keeping the card key away from anything with a magnet. This motel was a really nice stay and I will definitely be coming back. Definitely deserves 2 thumbs up. Love it.
• Tammy Sue (10/5): A amazing stay great staff. Very nice - Our stay was amazing. It was our anniversary weekend. We live far from Montreal but I wanted to give my husband a lovely time. I asked the ladies that work there to decorate for our anniversary. And they did oh my I was so surprised They went over and above The room was just beautiful over looking the river. Great staff we will be going back.

• john (8/5): Shoreline motel - A little close to the road so background noise could be heard. A few guests were enjoying the outdoor area until later in the evening but no issues. A good little motel on the south shore. Best to have car or a bike if staying here.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommend. - The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and generous (it's always nice to feel genuinely welcomed in a strange place). The location is absolutely lovely. Even if you, like we, aren't upgraded to a room facing the water, the motel is directly on the waterfront, complete with walk/bike lane, large greenway and your own private dock on which to enjoy the sunset. It's right by a highway and bridge (though our room facing the water was absolutely quiet) so you can drive anywhere quickly.

The only complaint would be an odd smell similar to smoke from the room. I did get used to the smell within a few minutes but people with asthma may have trouble. The staff was really friendly as well.
• miketI767JY (4/5): Cheaper than most but you get what you pay for - Room was clean and tidy and the swimming pool is good for a quick swim. But the management gave a second person the same key to our room, which led to a strange man opening our door, there was nobody there to handle check out on a Sunday morning, no information in the room, no nearby (walkable) amenities, the air conditioning was dated and not very efficient, and the interior door surround was duct tape. That said - the room was tidy and clean and for one night it was good for us.

They gave our room key to someone else by accident and I struggled to check out in the morning as was all locked up. “Window shaker” / air conditioner in the window did not really cool, but did shake the window, and the door surround was duct tape: Construction nearby makes it tricky to get there. No nearby amenities that are walkable.

• Charles (10/5): Great Accommodations, Great People. - The Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. This was not merely professional courtesy, they were really good people. Although the conference we attended was at a hotel in downtown Montreal, staying at Motel et Appartements du Fleuve and driving or taking taxis proved to be both practical and economical. Also the people of Brossard we met were all great people. The room was just as described. So no complaints only praise. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

• 255marshallr (8/5): Wonderful and Relaxing! - Staying in the Montreal area for the Canadian Grand Prix, Motel du Fleuve looked like the perfect combination of location and price. The positives are obvious: it is located next to a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence with a quiet walking path, parking is plentiful and free of charge, the nightly price is reasonable (particularly for a Grand Prix weekend), and the Longueuil Metro stop is a short drive away. And - this is exactly what we found. Negatives? Only a few minor ones: the rooms have no closets or wardrobes, and the access from the highway is slightly awkward, as the location is only accessible from the southbound lanes. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. I would highly suggest staying here if you are in the area!

The towels in our room had toothpaste and dirt stains on them; our first room smelled like cigarettes and the second (after we asked for a change) just smelled bad, period. We were so tired we just gave up and sucked it up. We were all kept awake by the noise from the highway.
• tracyr835 (6/5): Convenient and comfortable - The motel is right next to the highway so there is some traffic noise.The front desk staff were very helpful with information about the area and filling the ice bucket. It is an older motel and is undergoing some updates. No amenities (food, shopping) within walking distance. Our room had two double beds but no dresser. It was explained that with two double beds there is no room for a dresser. The room lighting is ok, bathroom clean, a window air conditioner which did work. We had a park/river view which was lovely and we spent time in the park instead of our room.

Renovations are ongoing and they had just changed the room door, and I have to admit it was a little unsettling at first to walk in and hear the rustling of the tape around the door. River side rooms were quiet enough, but the mattress of the bed was quite hard, and we only had a pillow each, so I couldn't use one to put under my knees to alleviate the back pain. If we hadn't gotten back so late I may have asked the front desk for an extra pillow, so I can't say if they would've provided one or not. Also a bit puzzled that I was given a password to the wifi, yet never had to enter one, but it was working, so no complaints here.
• Jeff (8/5): - Good , clean , room just the basics here. Location was good. For what we needed. Would stay again.
• Jim (6/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We had requested rooms on the river side, but we ended up with rooms on the highway side. The highway side noise makes it difficult to sleep. The entire parking lot was covered with 2 inches of ice and water.
• Robinson (10/5): Comfy and good value, but no breakfast offered. - Fine place for basic overnight(s) stay. No breakfast, room clean but under partial renovation so looked a bit unfinished-#114; quiet enough but not real quiet as along a morning commute busy road. Excellent location for Brossard and escape back to U.S. Border for U.S. travelers. Reasonably easy access to Montreal, but a bit less sophisticated than other nearby offerings,

Fast internet. comfortable bed, Our room was facing the river, so he had no issues with the highway noise. we loved this place. it is good for cyclist . Although it is motel but we did not regret to stay there

• zimingz2015 (6/5): Too Loud and no wifi - The picture looks nice and quiet. Actually it is nearby the highway. It was too loud to sleep. The wifi does not work but no refund. Sometimes the door was hard to open. The location is OK. The room is clean. But you would like to find alternative hotel.

• Matthew (2/5): Unpleasant. - It is worthy the money to stay at a nicer hotel -- I almost NEVER say this. Especially because there were a few other hotel options for an extra $20/night and I'm kicking myself for trying to save a buck. This hotel is basically ON the freeway, the swimming pool is FREEZING (even on Sept 1), & the room is teeny tiny (and I LIVE in Manhattan,). I'm mostly just disappointed in myself for trying to save a little extra money per night. I never write reviews so this should say something -- don't stay here -- if you have a family. Make more of your trip in Montreal.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Not bad. - Nice location. I didn't feel it was super clean but for one night it was good.
• Val (6/5): Only room available. - We got the last room from Expedia but couldn't check in until 8pm. We went for dinner and came back just as the room was ready. Room was clean but so many spider webs outside the door and around the stairway. I would recommend this place for $99 a night if you're in a pinch and need rest. However, if you're facing the highway it is very noisy.
• Gregory (8/5): Clean comfy room, reasonable rate, friendly staff - Stayed at Motel du Fleuve Aug 18 - 20. If you're just looking for a clean, quiet place to sleep in Montreal at a reasonable rate, this place definitely fits the bill. Our room had been recently renovated, it was clean, and staff was very friendly, no problems with speaking English. The outdoor pool was a nice bonus. My suggestion if you're staying here is to request a room at the back of the motel; that gets you a view of the river and the walking path along the river, and may be a little more quiet than the front of the motel, which faces the highway. This place is located close to the Cartier bridge so access to downtown is quick. My complaints about the place are relatively minor: the windows are sealed shut so it can feel a little stuffy at times; the bathroom fan is wired to the same switch as the light so you can't have the light without the fan, and the fan in our room was a little loud; not alot of hooks/places to hang your stuff; wi-fi wasn't always reliable. Again, all pretty minor stuff, nothing that would keep me from going back. This was not the first time we stayed at du Fleuve and probably won't be the last!
• Diane (8/5): very reasonale hotel. - The overall experience was great. I was without car, so could not get anything to eat but for everything else, I have no complaints . The view was the St.Lawrence. the beds were comfy .The room was clean.The staff was as accomodating as they could be.Pool was running and not too cold.
• Jeffery (8/5): - Great place to stay. The price is good it's about ten minutes for Montreal downtown has a pool great walking trails behind it and the river too
• Jo (8/5): Great view, convienient - We stayed in the one bedroom apt for four nights. The kitchen was great. The price was great. We enjoyed the view of the river and the walking/biking path outside the door. Location was convenient to everything we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not completely finished. Door without molding, a couple of things like that. U would recommend bringing tp, as that was not replaced at all while we were there. The wi-fi was atrocious. No connection available or disconnected after a few minutes. VERY frustrating. All in all, good value for the price and would definitely stay again.
