- Andrew (10/5): For the Family - This is an absolute GEM of a property in central Greece. You will need a vehicle of some kind to make the trip out to Karpenisi, but if you do, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Yes, this location is typically for families, but because of the animals on site, my wife made this a must stay on our trip. There are two little towns/villages in the area that are easy to travel to via rental car, and we made the most of that situation. Just above the hotel in the village of Klavsi (according to maps), there was a small local family owned and operated taverna that had the most wonderful steak sauce he prepared for his meals. The family was warm and comforting, and we were able to use our translation software to communicate. Just along the main road from the hotel, there is a little café known as river art, that is a must visit for local products and good snacks. For the most part however, this part of our trip was for resting and relaxing. This hotel has a large open property with luscious green grass and local plants that made it a delight to walk through and enjoy Greece without heavy tourism. The staff was kind and helpful, and we were able to have our laundry washed and dried prior to our departure. During the day, we played together at Newton Park, yes, it is designed for children, but with our science backgrounds, my wife and I enjoyed being little kids again for the day. The owner was kind and we spent hours talking together like old friends.
- danagaz (10/5): Perfect for a family with young kids ! - We stayed for 3 nights with kids aged 8, 12 and 16. It was perfect! The wooden chalet was comfy and mostly the surrounding playgrounds and open-air science park Newton Park kept the kids busy all day. Breakfast was fantastic, the owner Demy does everything to pamper her guests. For the kids, the owner Adonis has them on an exciting morning schedule- horse riding, then the baby train around the park (including feeding the animals), then exploring in Newton Park.. our kids said the place was perfect and were sad to leave.
- emms2013 (10/5): Great family farm location and excellent service - Our welcome was very warm, fast as it should be after a 4hour drive from Athens. The hosts and staff are doing an excellent job. The games at Newton Park are for kids age 5 to 12. They are designed to combine fun with physics. The farm had a nice cool breeze in the summer. We had plenty of space for the kids to play ride the hotel bikes and play ball. The mountain view is amazing. Breakfast was homemade pies summer fruits and fresh squeezed orange juice, just right for summer. The room was spacious for our family of 5. Quite clean and well maintained. We ll visit again and we recommend it 5 stars to any family with kids up to 10 yrs old and willing to drive to Karpenisi.
- Venetiasamos (10/5): Lost in paradise..with kids - Ninemia is an amazing place for kids and families that want to feel the nature and admire its beauties. Mr. Antonis and Mrs. Demi were the best hosts helping us with whatever we may needed. Nice breakfast with local treaties(butter,milk, trachana). The house were very warm, with fireplaces inside and wood. We booked the package "Stay & play" which is exaclty that:bicycles for the kids to go around safely, pony & horse riding in the morning, a small train ride around the farm, a treehouse and a lake with fish. The Newton park had many things to explore:experiments, canals, labyrinth, outdoor playground, survivor games, football, basketball. Little farm with ducks, peacocks, goats, turkeys. We walked to the end of the farm and the river Karpenissiotis was just in front of us. Apart for the outdoor paradise, there is a small area inside where you can seat and enjoy your coffee or drink by the fireplace while kids are playing, but also an indoor playground with several toys, board games, table soccer for all. To sum up...it is family paradise in the nature!!! Explore the villages around and make sure you have food for dinner, as the cuisine can offer only pizza and snacks! We will definitely go back...the soonest!
- DrMapas (10/5): Heaven on earth. - This is one of the few hotels that I give 5 stars and if there were 6 I would gladly give them 6. First of all it is not only a hotel but a wonderful experience. Except from the rooms (which are mainly seperate houses) there is a vast field with horses and goats and other animals that you can feed them and touch them and interact with them. Just beside the hotel is a splendid park with games for children and adults (from devices that help children understand the laws of physics to basketaball and football fields) and the most amazing is that all these are made from one man: Mr Antonis. Your day can start (if you choose so) with a horse and train ride) and then you can play for hours within the park or the cottage. The houses-rooms are cozy, spacious, clean with very confortable beds and they include kitchen and fireplace. The place is situated in a field with mountains all over that gives you good and calm vibes. The main building has a fireplace and a playground that you can sit and relax and your kids can play for hours and you can drink one of the many herb teas or eat fingerfood. The breakfast is what it is supposed to be: Fresh and high quality. The most important thing though is the hotel staff and owners. Extremely polite and ready to help you in everyway they can, ready to make your stay as confortable and relax as it gets. The price of stay is very small for what you get. Finally there are 2-3 vilalges nearby (5-6 mins drive) with restaurants and domestic products!! Overall this is the place to be if you are a family. Not recommended for adults without children. Mrs Demy and Mr Antonis thank you for everything. We found our destination for many years to come!!!
- Cpapa1972 (10/5): An amazing experience - try a different summer in the Greek mountains - What started as a last minute search for a few days break ended up as the best summer vacations we had with our children until now. Antonis and Dimitra have created a superb “home” in the beautiful mountains of Evrytania and an amazing experience for kids and their parents. I am not going to describe the place and the activities or the Newton park - you can all read in other reviews and see the pictures. But it’s not about that - it’s about your kids waking up in the morning with a big smile waiting for the horse ride, it’s about their happiness feeding the animals, it’s about your relaxation knowing that they play around in a safe environment, it’s about you playing with them together and finally it’s about the promise you give them that you will come back again next summer in order to make them leave the place !!! Antoni, Dimitra and all Ninemia people we hope we will able to keep that promise and see you again on August 2020 !!! Christos - Aggeliki and the twins !!!
- Curiosity791253 (10/5): Great place - great vacation with our kids - We were in Ninemia stay & play at the begining of July 2018, the place is beutifull, great houses with Full equipment in the amazing place of Karpenisi mountains. Everything around is green. The kids love the place, feeling like in home, Demmy and Adonis are lovely and make you feel at home.
- Viviryvestir (8/5): A fun farm experiences - More of bed and breakfast than a hotel. Friendly staff and ingenious games for children, several farm animals on premises as well as a short (5min) horsed ride for children. A nice way to experience life in a farm, well kept and clean. We stayed 2 nights, to visit the surrounding area. I had a hard time with the hard bed and was unable to sleep, but I guess it’s part of the charm. The hotel is in a valley so you will miss the great Mountain View’s and breeze. We tried to leave earlier, but management is quite inflexible with changes, so make sure you plan appropriately. The owners are great hosts and try their best to make you comfortable. If you are looking for a farm experience, and have adventurous children this maybe a fun place for you. If you are looking for a soft bed, a mountain View and little lux you can search other places near by that offer that.

The place offers both relaxation and activities and when the weather is good you can even use the BBQ facilities! Kind people, great breakfast. Definitely visit there again!
- Gas0777 (6/5): OK for children. - Overall the hotel is located in a nice area. Although is presented as a family resort the rooms are very small which means that after dark the families are cramped in the room. The provided children rides are only available in the early morning for 10 minutes. Any extra horse rides and train rides are paid and are expensive. Even the coffees are expensive and there is no coffee or tea available in the room. The hosts are trying too much to be nice! Not an ideal place for winter holidays.
- GeorgeNt (10/5): ideal for families with children - We visited "Ninemia" in October 2016 with my wife and our 2 years old daughter. The area is around 15000 sm and is located next to the river. (you cannot see from the rooms, you have to walk a bit). the reason this is ideal for children is that they can do many things, included in the price, that children love. For example they can ride one of the bicycles, play basketball, ride a horse in the morning after breakfast, have a short ride with the "train" around the area of the hotel, feed the fish in the pond, see the farm animals, try the trampoline, play in the playground, or in the table tennis etc. if the weather is bad they can spend some time inside where there is a small place with toys (lego, etc). Older children can play by the fireplace some of the board games available in the reception/breakfast area. Apart from all these which are included in the price, next to Ninemia you can find "Karavaki" which is an area with more interesting things to do that children love (entrance fee is 4 euros per person for Ninemia residents) and children love. On the prons i should also mention the friendly owners and the homemade breakfast which make you feel like you are a guest in a friend's house. On the cons, i can only think the fact that if there is limited options for dinner. (i had to spend 40 minutes overall to go to Karpenisi and order some souvlakia and take them back to Ninemia at 22:00). By the way, Karpenisi is around 10 minutes drive, but is not the easiest thing to find a car park space during busy periods. For lunch we visited 3 times "Mesostrati" restaurant which is 5 minutes drive from Ninemia towards Proussos. this is a must visit place for lunch/dinner. other than these, the rooms are decent with big balconies and a free car park next to your room. wifi is strong and also free of charge while for TV i am not sure if i can comment because probably i did something wrong and only 2 or 3 channels were available. (but i didnt bother to ask for help, because there are more interesting things to do rather than watch TV). Overall, a must go place if you have children, they will love it!

- 819evin (10/5): Week retreat with kids - Family friendly, plenty of activities for kids and adults to do. Onwers are friendly, sincere and inviting as well as the staff. Beautiful breakfast , different each day cooked by the owner. Accommodation is brilliant as well as each cottage is individually decorated.
- Lagos_Mare_Hotel (10/5): Absolutely love it - Just returned from Ninemia (with my wife and 2 children) and we are discussing on the next available dates to visit again. Antonis, Demy and the 2 other members of Ninemia offer you a real experience on what greek hospitality really means with no frills and fake things. The location is marvellous, the children enjoy the games there (worth to try the new experimental park), breakfast is authentic and healthy, the setting is dreamy!!!!Ninemia, see you soon!
- pinir67 (10/5): Paradise for families with kids - We stayed at Ninemia for 2 nights in early September. We booked a two bedroom & two bathroom Villa. The room was specious, very clean, with a living room, kitchenette and a small deck to sit in the afternoon and enjoy a cup of coffee. The setting is magnificent with the Pindos mountains view all around. The grounds were fantastic - well groomed with huge areas of grass, flowers, small pond, paths to the nearby river and ample attraction for the kids - from trampoline to basketball net, from bikes and small cars to swings and slides, and of course not to forget 2 zip lines. In addition, they have ponies on which the kids can ride and a small train pulled by a tractor. Recently, they opened near by a science fun park for kids (extra cost of 5E) in which the kids can learn about various physical laws through games and fun experiments. Great place to spend few hours. Breakfast was great, although somewhat limited, but contained home made goodies, jams and deserts. The owner Demi helped us a lot in pre-booking activities in the area, and his co-owner Adonis was a pleasure to speak with. The staff (Costas and Allena) were always there to help. All in all, a great place, the 1st choice by our children, makes you feel at home away from home. Highly recommended.

There are plently of activities for children, so the parents have the opportunity for resting or spending quality time with their children. The houses/rooms are spacious with good quality facilities. At breakfast is offered high quality food and most of the food is home made by the owners. The owners are very warm and they care that their customers have what they need. I believe that Ninemia is one of the best choises in Karpenisi area.

Absolutely loved it, superb location, super-clean, spacious accomodation, a multitude of activities for the little ones to enjoy on a daily basis, excellent breakfast. The owners, Antonis and Demi were very warm and welcoming, it felt as if we were visiting relatives. Highly recommended, definitely coming back.
- spirot69 (10/5): A perfect choice for families with small kids - Ninemia is one of these little treasures you discover while traveling in a place and you are very happy to return there many times. It was a suggestion by local friends and we booked a family appartment for 3 nights in early June. The place is magnificent, very much intact and has noumerous attractions and playing motivation for kids. They have ponys, they have several farm animals, a good variety of bicycles and skates, all there to serve the ultimum target of every parent, which is the combination of the kids having great time and the parents be able to enjoy a book free of constant watch out. The kids can play there for hours (as they did in fact) without you running after them all the time. The room was ample and equiped with all amenities for short or longer stay. Too decorated to my opinion and some details really need attention (as the plastic curtain in the bath/jacuzzi... but in overall is what you should expect in mountain area like this. The owners are really fun, if you get to know thwm better, talk and spend sometime with them, otherwise may look somehow distant and rigid. They have an attitude when you ask simply things like "where should I go for running?" and they have this, somehow, ironic behavior you find to people that made the choice to leave the big city and to stay in a mountain village. The breakfast is limited but of great quality. These guys make their own bread, butter and honey (and jams) so you can imagine how good the breakfast was! They have an issue with visitors that are not guests and this is so obvious. We were a rather big banch of people and wanted to have some friends coming by but it was not possible, especially for their kids that wanted to play. Well this is a policy of the place you must respect, otherwise you will find there tens of people occupying the whole area. They made a choice and we have to respect it, no matter if we like it or not. As a conclusion the place is an excellent choice, close to main city of the area (Karpenisi) and really relaxing for all the family.
- 477inbala (10/5): Best place to stay - This was one of the best places we have stayed in our vacation to Greece. The children did not want to leave the place !!! The playground is ideal for kids - the rooms are comfortable and clean ... And the host ... the most welcoming person we meet during our vacation !!!!
