Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Looking for somewhere to stay while attending the Drovers Tryst Walking Festival, this was in a good central location, easy to walk into the town centre, with a supermarket for supplies just round the corner.
Excellent value for money. I was welcomed and impressed with the room facilities and the little extras such as bottles of water in the fridge and bathrobes.
Very good choice to eat at breakfast, and was offered an earlier breakfast time so I could meet the walk start times.
Would thoroughly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Die Zimmer sind liebevoll im Landhausstil eingerichtet und haben statt Nummern Clan-Namen und Schilder an den Türen.
- David (10/5): A Lovely Little Hotel! - What a lively little boutique hotel in a little quiet town! Everything was perfect from check in to breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend if you are passing this way!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely hosts. Traditional Scottish guest home. Very comfy bed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely loved our overnight stay with Comely Bank, warm, friendly and uniquely scottish. Felt like staying with a family member for the day, top quality hospitality.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Couldn't have been better. We were going to a wedding and were able to check in around midday rather than four hours later.
- James (10/5): Made to feel very welcome - Brilliant room and was made to feel very welcome. Got exactly what I asked for breakfast. Will definitely recommend.
- Jan (10/5): Lovely B&B - Comfortable stay in clean and well equipped house and a good breakfast.
- Angela (10/5): Comely Bank Guest House Crieff - Fabulous hosts, friendly and welcoming.
The rooms were spotless, beds comfortable, breakfast was excellent.
Highly recommendable and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
- Gajen (8/5): Very Happy - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Comely. We had booked for 2 nights. We were warmly welcomed by Marion, the owner, who showed us our room on the ground floor which has a very spacious en-suite with a bath and separate shower. Our room, breakfast and common areas were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was very good too and Marion was very friendly, social and helpful, personally cooking and serving us breakfast.
Wifi was good, street parking was not an issue and the place was nice and quiet at nights(we hardly spent the day there).
Comley is a small family run B&B, just 5 rooms and so one would expect to get a good service, which we had. The location is ideal as it is kinda in the centre of highlands and convenient for a stay if you are planning to drive around to different places.
I was open to many locations and finally chose this place based on the very good reviews, photos and location. As always there are loads of crappy places around (always read the very poor and poor review first) and i spent a lot of time trying to find a nice place and was very happy in the end with our stay Comely.
The price was reasonable and I would very happily recommend this place. I would re-book if I were to revisit Highlands.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely people, beautiful and comfortable accommodations, bountiful breakfast. I'd definitely stay again if i was in the area.
- Richard (10/5): - excelent breakfast
very pleasant and helpful hosts
- Verified traveler (8/5): - As shown in the photos. Cosy, fresh decor and comfortable bed. Small room so very warm in the hot weather , but there were bottles of water in a fridge. Generous cooked breakfast (2×bacon and sausage) ; not swimming in grease. Also some nice additions to buffet in the form of melon, forest fruits and nuts and seeds.
- Neil (10/5): Comely Bank garden gazebo perfection - We had a fabulous weekend in Crieff and the Comely Bank Guest House played a key role. Marion was lovely, the room was great and the jewel in the crown was the back garden. We spent a couple of hours relaxing in the garden, enjoying the bank holiday sunshine but shading from the heat in the gazebo.
The breakfast was of champions too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly Welcome - We were greeted warmly and given a brief and concise explanation of the facilities and had an excellent night's sleep and very good breakfast. Overall would highly recommend.
- Keith (10/5): Outstanding! - Outstanding on every count - perfection!
- Joe (10/5): - Just superb.
- Mark (10/5): Nice Guest House, close to town Centre - Really lovely place to stay, friendly and very helpful hosts, food excellent and rooms very clean and comfortable, well located for days out exploring Scotland.
- D Lynn (10/5): Must give it a try! - Marion and Ron were wonderful hosts. Room was clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast cooked fresh and yummy! The town is delightful to wander. Parking is a little hard to come by around dinner time due to pub close by, but opens up easily. It's very convenient to use as a hub to explore towns around Scotland. Lots of repeat customers. En suite bathroom was big and very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent Bed & Breakfast. The room was very cozy and the breakfast delicious with many options. The wifi was a bit choppy but not bad.
- Zoe (10/5): Charming B&B - This B&B had great facilities and amenities. The staff were lovely and helpful, the breakfast delicious. The rooms were very quaintly decorated and extremely comfortable with any amenity you could want. Would definitely recommend.
- Judy (10/5): Lovely B&B - Had a lovely stay. Our room was vert nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the location was great!
- BigTone (8/5): Handy for the Crieff Arts Centre round the corner. - It was simply Fan-Dabby-Dozy to say the least, and By Jove that's saying something!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and great room facilities and great breakfast!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very comfortable stay, lovely hosts and a lovely breakfast.
Assolutamente consigliato! Anzi, imperdibile!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommended - Very spacious rooms, modern bathroom and very clean. Easy for parking too.
- Ursula (8/5): Weekend break - I couldn't fault the Comely Bank hotel apart from the coffee at breakfast, it was very weak and none of my party enjoyed it.
- Carol (10/5): Girlie weekend in Crieff - A girlie weekend was enjoyed very much thanks to the warm welcome at Comely Bank and we were set up for our day of shopping and sightseeing with a delicious hearty breakfast. Very comfortable room with everything that you would need provided. Would happily return.
- Pixie (10/5): Good value excellent, personal. - Delightful friendly family run family style but very clean and professional. Just what we needed, great area, value for money, easy to find and park, great breakfast, quiet room, good bed! Lovely. So glad we chose this one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Outstanding hospitality and cooking! - Lovely baskets of flowers greet you at the front and once you're inside it feels like home. Marion the owner was exceptional and couldn't have been more helpful in suggesting places to go and things to do.
The room was excellent and very very comfortable. The breakfast whcih Marion cooked was to die for! Outstanding cooking, hospitality and there is no doubt when we visit Crieff again this will bethe place from now on we will be staying at.

- Geoff (10/5): Very nice guest house - Very nice guest house. Hosts were very attentive. Room was immaculately clean. Breakfast was excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Très mignon B&B - Très joli B&B propre très british tenu par un couple très gentil. Petit dej excellent. A qq pas du centre.
- Helen (10/5): Great Place to Stay - Stayed in the McGregor Suite. Warm welcome very large comfortable and clean room. Large underfloor heated luxurious bathroom with bath and shower. Breakfast was excellent with a very good choice. Good value for money. Would stay again
- uitlander (8/5): Friendly and comfotable - I stopped here overnight on my way to Mull. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Just after I arrived they noticed that I was limping and offered to help with my bags, which was very kind. As a single traveller I am used to being put in cramped rooms. The single room here was comfortable and a reasonable size which made a very welcome change. The room had a washbasin, with a bathroom nearby. There was copious hot water. The breakfast was excellent and I will certainly use this B&B again when I am visiting Scotland.
- solo traveller (8/5): Great place - Excellent hospitality and wonderful breakfast. Too bad I couldn't get internet on my phone in my room....had to go to the stairwell. Still, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. The room had a mini fridge, drying rack for towels, great lounge chair, comfy bed, ample bedding, and closet space as well as a sink and mirrors.
- lowtit (10/5): great value - very comfy - fantastic bathroom - very comfortable clean room with superb large underfloor heated luxurious bathroom (mc gregor suite) superb breakfast great value for money and the owners very kindly sent back the mobile phone we left in the room immediately - good location, proper scottish pub next door with friendly locals -
- Wilf Curry (10/5): First Class accomodation - For the short break we were having (4days) this was a first class hotel. It was exceptionally clean and tidy and tastefully decorated throughout. The bed was very comfortable and the availability and quality of the food was top of the range. Very warm and friendly hosts. Would certainly stay again and would recommend it to friends. Only a five minute walk from shops and eating places and a number of other tourist attractions.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly - On main road, difficult to find. Very friendly welcome and clean well furnished rooms and dining area. Excellent breakfast.
No en suite, not clear when booking. Would not book room if known.
- Louise (10/5): Great Guesthouse - Lovely comfortable, immaculately and clean spacious room. Received a warm welcome on my arrival. Good hearty breakfast in the morning cooked to perfection and very well proportioned. Centrally located with ample nearby parking. I would happily stay here again.
