• Rooijakkers (9/5): - Mooie locatie dicht bij de zee en centrum. Eigenlijk niets, zeer vriendelijk personeel.
• Hans-Werner (7/5): Grundsätzlich haben wir uns nach anfänglichem Ärger wohl gefühlt. - Die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals war großartig. Der Frühstücksbereich war sehr angenehm. Es war vier Tage lang einfach himmlisch in dieser ruhigen Atmosphäre zu Frühstücken. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen. Hervorheben möchte ich noch den exzellenten Kaffee. Wenn ich bei Ankunft im Zimmer auf Mängel stoße die wirklich störend sind, ist das schon sehr ärgerlich. Folgende Mängel: 1. In der Dusche lief das Wasser nicht ab und man stand in der schmutzigen Seifenbrühe 2. Die erste Nacht lagen wir schweißnass in den Betten, da das Thermostat der Aircondition nicht funktionierte. 3. Die Verriegelung der Terrassentür war defekt, man konnte sie nicht mehr schließen. All das wurde am nächsten Morgen sofort repariert . Das war sehr gut !!! Trotzdem, wenn ich ein 4-Sterne Hotel buche, habe ich keine Lust mich mit Mängeln (die man vor der Anreise der Gäste feststellen und beheben hätte können) herumzuärgern und die Funktion eines Supervisors zu übernehmen. Bei nur vier Übernachtungen ist das schon sehr ärgerlich. Zu dem kommt noch hinzu, im Pool liegen Dutzende Mosaiksteinchen am Grund lose herum auf die man ständig tritt und u.U. eine Fußverletzung riskiert.

Beautiful swimming pools with nice bars The staff were very festive during their Songkran holiday. Great location — both close to the center and near a beautiful, quiet beach. I would like to say a special thank you to the night receptionists that helped me with my luggage during check-in and check-out. Additionally, thank you to the triple afternoon reception team: "Su, Kwan, Ice" who helped me with the taxi on my way out.

Está a 10 minutos caminando al centro, por una calle llena de familias y niños que tambien van a los restaurantes, souvenirs, locales de masaje, todo a mano. La luces de la habitación, funcionan cada una independiente. No hay un interruptor general para apagarlas todas, cuando te vas a acostar. No hay un enchufe en el cabecero de la cama, para cargar el movil

• Belinda (10/5): Wishing we’d stayed longer, this was a peaceful & well managed resort - Close to the beach, the room & hotel were clean, organised and the rooms had plenty of extras. The pool-access rooms were a treat, the bed & pillows comfortable and there was a great selection of items at the breakfast buffet. Oriental guests can utilise the facilities of the main resort, we were able to stay onsite after checkout, as our transfer wasn’t until the evening. Amazing facilities to store luggage (in an air conditioned, CCTV monitored room) and shower after using the pool. The staff were brilliant and very accommodating, room service food was pretty good Nothing - Sad we only had 1 night there

• EssexBetty64 (10/5): A perfect stay in Thailand - Stayed for two weeks in March 2026. The Oriental Adults Only wing is part of another hotel but has the same entrance and reception desk but its own pool and area for breakfast and pool side bar that offers a very extensive range of food. We had a swim up room (2215) which was perfect. We did feel that some of the locations of a few of swim up rooms might seem a bit disappointing, particularly those near the gym looking across to the area where breakfast is. Felt they would be a little dark and lacking in sun. The rooms are lovely and spacious with kettle, tea/coffee, fridge, water and shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. Also supplied pool towels. The breakfast was lovely. The eggs cooked to order were very good. Keep an eye out for the chipmunks in teh trees opposite. The pool bar shuts at 17.00pm - felt this was a little early. For the evening there is a bar just before reception that is part of the hotel. You are able to charge everything to your room and settle at the end of your stay. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. All the staff we came across were very polite and courteous. The walk to the beach is less than five minutes. We sat on our sun beds and then pop down to the beach for a quick swim (showers as you come off the beach). Location of the hotel for restaurants and shops was a short walk. Use the supermarket as you enter the main high street - Thai owned and stocked such much. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough.
• dicko01 (10/5): Amazing hotel and staff - Had a 2 week stay here in February, everything about this hotel is fantastic. Location is great, nice and quiet, over the road from the beach and a short walk to the centre if you need something bit livelier. The pool area is beautiful, plenty of sun loungers, we had a swim up room which we loved. Everywhere in the hotel and the grounds are spotless, the gardens are kept beautiful. The staff are so attentive, a quick shout out to Bowling, Honey, Tuffy, Kwan and Cha Cha (sorry can’t remember everyone’s names) they looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. The food and cocktails again were fantastic, I really can’t find anything negative to say, we had an amazing time made extra special by the staff. We would definitely return here.
• dannic (10/5): Can’t wait to return! - It was a repeat visit staying in a Pool Access room, this time for 3 weeks. We LOVE it here and already booked for next year. This hotel can’t be beaten for location & what it offers for the price. It’s relatively small, rustic and real - that’s what gives it charm and unique personality. Wonderful owners and genuinely kind & professional staff, Mr K & Khun Mai should be very proud. A special thank you to Suzy too!
• Karen (9/5): - We were made to feel welcome when we arrived with a cool flannel and drink. Our luggage was taken to the room for us, once it was ready, and as my husband had been before we were welcomed in the room with a welcome home display on the bed. The bed was very comfortable too. The facilities were great, especially the pool just outside our room as we had a swim up room. The breakfasts were really good with so much choice of food for you and the atmosphere was chilled. All the staff were so polite and happy. We felt so relaxed and looked after, wished we could have stayed longer!! Our luggage was looked after once we had checked out as our flight was later in the day. We also had shower facilities so we could freshen up before our journey home. We will definitely return 😊 Nothing

• Magne (6/5): Et eldre, slitt hotell, som trenger mye oppgradering - Frokosten var omtrent «midt på treet.» vi bodde på 4 hoteller denne gangen, og frokosten her var den dårligste. Vi var heldige og fikk et av få rom som hadde sol og direkte adgang til bassenget. Ellers var restauranten Le Siam i komplekset, meget bra. God og rimelig mat, hyggelig betjening Frokosten kunne vært bedre. Hoteller er for voksne, men mye trapper, opp og ned og smale adkomster. Ikke noe sted for voksne med problemer. Kunne ikke ha toalettpapir i do. Dette måtte legges i en bøtte ved siden av. Denne ble tømt en gang om dagen. Ikke akseptabelt. Gammeldagse låser på dørene, og en måtte levere nøkkel i resepsjonen når en gikk ut . Et stykke å gå til sentrum. Badehåndklær er usikker på når de skiftes. Stranden er nær, men hotellet hadde ikke egen plass

• adelej637 (10/5): Wonderful place, wonderful people - Wonderful place, wonderful people, our second visit to the Khao Lak Oriental resort and once again it didn’t disappoint. We are already planning our return next year. The staff treated us more like friends, so kind and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Every time we entered, or left, the reception girls gave a very warm greeting, Bee , Opal and Miew especially were extremely helpful. We stayed in one of the swim up pool rooms , traditional Thai style , a very comfortable bed and all the amenities needed and what a luxury being able to go straight into the beautiful pool, swim up to the bar to be served by the amazing Bowling , Mia , Cha Cha and Tuffy . Sorry I don’t remember more names as they were all so efficient, smiling , remembering our names, room number and importantly our order every day. My husband loved the cookery class , second time of taking, Mr Egg (nicknamed by Chai one of the very proficient manger’s ) the chef , making delicious Thai specialties . I visited the relaxing Spa, greeted by Jenny , to have the most wonderful massage and facial. The hotel is only a very short walk from the beach and from bars and restaurants. We would definitely recommend staying at the resort and are looking forward to our next visit .

• sweetjilly (10/5): Relaxing oasis, perfect atmosphere and service - We had a great time, relaxing and welcoming. The facilities were great and the access to two areas (adults only and families) was well done. The gardens are lush and beautifully maintained. All of the staff were helpful and welcoming. In particular Bee and Miew at reception and Tuffy and Mai at the beach bar. Also the lady who cleaned our room (1111 in case management are reading this) who was helpful when my sister was unwell. Thank you.
• jill (10/5): Relaxing with authentic thai hospitality feel. - This has a lovely atmosphere, the staff are helpful and welcoming. Very nice pool, small gym that was never crowded when i used it. Breakfast very well done, convenient for the beach. Some of the decks/chairs could do with some attention. I really liked the style and atmosphere. In particular Bee and Miew at reception were helpful and Tuffy and Mai were helpful and charming ( pool bar). The lady who cleaned our room was super friendly and she was very helpful when my sister was unwell. (Room 1111 in case management are reading this) 👌
• Ursula (3/5): Khao lac gerne wieder, aber nicht mehr das Hotel - Die Lage Beim Empfang eher unfreundlich. Obwohl dass Zimmer fertig war lies man mich bis 14.00 Uhr warten. Als ich dass Zimmer tauschen wollte, zeigte man mir ein schlechteres und sagte es wäre nicht ihre Schuld, wenn mir das Zimmer nicht gefallen hätte. Das Frühstück nichts besonderes und eher lieblos im erwachsenen Teil. Da gibt es viel bessere!! In die Jahre gekommen!!!!

• Callum2611 (8/5): Good, not great. Needs a few improvements. Not value for money. - This is NOT an adult-only hotel. It’s best described as one hotel divided into two wings (each with its own name, one being adult-only). Both holidaying adults and families breakfast together, whilst there’s a separate pool and accommodation reserved for adults only. The hotel and room designs reflect the local environment and make a welcome change from the ‘rinse and repeat’ designs of commercial chains (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt). Staff are wonderful – though in Thailand, is that ever a surprise? Bedrooms are clean. Limited space for clothes, even for a solo traveller. No mosquito nets, so if insects bother you, consider bringing a bed tent. The bed is firm and comfortable. You’re given both soft and firm pillows. Limited electrical sockets meant unplugging lamps to charge phones. Bedrooms overlooking the adult pool get afternoon sun; they’re shaded in the morning. The bathroom needs minor updates but is clean and functional. Breakfast options are mostly South East Asian, with a good selection of breads and pastries. Generally well organised, though on two mornings (7-8am) the restaurant was understaffed and underprepared – the fruit and salad bar wasn’t set up, and only fried eggs were available rather than eggs cooked to order. The dinner menu offered a wonderful selection of Thai dishes, as you’d expect from a country with such proud culinary heritage. Unfortunately, it was lacking in vegan/vegetarian options (and not every non-meat eater loves tofu - more options and creativity please). The reception staff were very happy to organise taxis. Otherwise, it’s possible to go to the main road (10-15 minute walk) and take one from a nearby taxi rank. General area is provincial, the main road is littered with cheap and cheerful shops that tempt tourists to part with the Baht on various souvenir options. Restaurants are geared up for families and children’s tetchy tastebuds (sad but predictable to see that the most popular restaurant in the area served up pizza and pasta). For high-quality dining, you’ll need to visit a five-star chain hotel (as I did) or perhaps one of the boutique hotels. The five-star restaurants I visited had no dress code, meaning guests wore beachwear. I’d have appreciated the option to dress up for dinner, as I felt it detracted from the ambiance. Finally, it’s a great location for PADI diving centres who will collect you from this hotel directly.

• Jon (6/5): - My room 4411 was next to the cleaning cupboard so quite a bit of noise. Breakfast was poor which was included in my room rate I ended up going elsewhere. On top of that just outside my rooms patio doors where 2 x sunbeds. So early in the morning strangers right outside my room the beds were very close to my room. Very weird Nice pool

The Hotel is well located, beach 50m and the town centre is a ten minute walk. Nice clear pool..excellent breakfast..room cleaned every day. It was the end of the rainy season and there was a few mosquitoes about.

• Culture51618852570 (10/5): Great expérience - A very calm and pleasant hotel. The pool area is beautiful, with a convenient bar, and the hotel’s restaurant is practical. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast offered a good selection, with both hot and cold buffets. The location is ideal, close to the beach and within walking distance of other restaurants. The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. Many thanks to Opel, Ice, Thich, Kaem, Kait and their colleagues.

We had a pool access room which was lovely as had own private deckchairs by the pool outside of our bedroom door. Good selection for breakfast daily. The pool by our room was very cold - Bhandari pool was warmer. Lots of tiles loose and not in place, pool could do with some TLC and retiled.

Which we loved, the hotel staff kindly decorated our room our bed and left us a cake for our honeymoon which was a lovely gesture. Rooms were nice and big and clean we had a swim up room which was lovely only thing the pool was really cold which I didn’t expect in Thailand. Khao lak it’s self is a lovely area but for my self and husband it was just slightly too quiet for us we did have an amazing time but for that reason we wouldn’t return to that area of Thailand but we’d definitely return to other areas.
• Lars (6/5): - Das erste Zimmer, das wir erhalten haben, war leider eine Enttäuschung. Bereits beim Betreten war ein leichter, modriger Geruch wahrnehmbar, der sich nach dem Einschalten der Klimaanlage stark verstärkte, sodass ein weiterer Aufenthalt in diesem Zimmer für uns nicht möglich war. Das Hotel hat jedoch umgehend und sehr professionell reagiert und uns ohne Diskussion in ein anderes Zimmer inklusive Upgrade umgebucht – dafür ein großes Lob. Das Personal, sowohl an der Rezeption als auch in allen anderen Bereichen, war durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam – dafür 10/10 Punkten. Der Anlage insgesamt würde ein wenig mehr Instandhaltung guttun; insbesondere in den Zimmern sieht man an Möbeln, Armaturen und einigen Treppenstufen, dass Renovierungen langsam notwendig werden. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und abwechslungsreich. Insgesamt ein Aufenthalt mit kleinen Schwächen, aber sehr gutem Service. Siehe oben

• Marko (2/5): - Ich kann nicht verstehen wie man das Hotel so bewerten kann, das istdas schlimmste Hotel was wir jemals in Thailand hatten,und wir waren schon in vielen. Die Ausstattung ist ja das allerletzte, es müsste komplett renoviert werden. Die Treppen eine Zumutung, das Hotel selbst hat keine eigene Rezeption, der pool Zugang ein absoluter Alptraum. Wie man auf den Fotos sieht, das Bad im sehr schlechten Zustand. Das erste Bild zeigt den Weg zum Frühstück, das letzte Bild ist unser Ausblick neben unserem Pool. Ich werde nie wieder hier her zurückkehren.
• Melanie (9/5): Schöner Aufenthalt mit tollem Personal - Wir waren in unseren Flitterwochen hier im Oriental Resort- das Schwestern Hotel. Wir konnten beide Bereiche nutzen .Das Hotel und das Essen waren toll. Das Frühstück war sehr üppig und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Man konnte sich verschiedene Arten der Eier zubereiten lassen. Alles war sehr sehr lecker. Das komplette Personal war immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Vorallem Bee, Opal, Kwan und Fleen konnten alle Anfragen und Wünsche erfüllen. Als Überraschung hatten wir ein Stück Kuchen und ein schön dekoriertes Bett. Wir haben uns oft einen Roller direkt um die Ecke gemietet und sind zu den schöneren Stränden coconut Beach und White Sand Beach gefahren. Auch ein großer Markt war nicht allzu weit gelegen. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.
• Shosh (1/5): - חשוב לי לציין שהרגשתי מרומה. הזמנו חדר במלון בהסתמך על התמונות, כשהגענו לשם, הסתבר שאנחנו צריכים להיכנס דרך מלון אחר (שלא הייתי נותנת לו 2 כוכבים) סמוך למלון הזה. שאלתי לפשר הדבר, אמרו לי שיש להם קבלה משותפת. שאלתי איפה אוכלים ארוחת בוקר? הצביעו על השולחנות הסמוכים. זה נראה ממש זוועה, אמרתי להם שאין מצב שאנחנו נשארים שם, אין כל קשר לתמונות שפירסמו. ביטלתי את ההזמנה במקום. יאמר לזכותם, שהם זיכו אותנו מיד. אבל חשוב לדעת שאסור להראות תמונות של מלון נהדר ובפועל להכניס אותך למלון ברמה נמוכה בהרבה.

• Mrsh121023 (10/5): amazing stay - We had such a wonderful stay here! The rooms were beautiful and felt so authentic — full of charm and character that made our visit feel truly Thai. We stayed in room 1112, which was lovely and comfortable, though there was a constant beeping sound nearby (possibly from the gym) that could get a bit annoying when sitting outside. My husband arranged an anniversary surprise through the hotel (at an extra cost), and it was absolutely amazing — thoughtful and special touch! We also booked a private dinner which was well worth it — a really memorable experience that made our trip extra special. Breakfast was lovely too, with plenty of choice and something for everyone. The location was ideal — we hired a scooter just up the road and spent our days exploring the area, which was perfect. A huge thank you to Bee, Ice, Opal, and Dear, who were all incredible! They were so friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.

• lynnet823 (6/5): Both lovely but smoking guests ruin it for non smoking guests - Lovely hotel, staff are wonderful and location great for beach, shops/town, medical needs, arranging trips etc . Khaolak is much quieter than Phuket, which if you have been there before is very lively & chaotic , so this quieter region suited me but probably not the likes of my 30yr old daughter who would want more of the nightlife/social etc. The hotel itself is very quiet and I had a lovely room straight onto the pool . The only thing that let the entire holiday down was my neighbours constantly smoking on the room decks causing second hand smoke to blow down. I was unable therefore to sit and enjoy my own private deck and had to move to the public areas. The hotel does provide designated smoking rooms/areas so I was surprised this was permitted. The hotel is built with a lot of wood, it’s very hot, wood is very dry, smoking in uncontrolled/unmonitored areas could therefore be a potential fire risk . … mostly though, I do not like breathing in other persons cigarette smoke, so for this reason alone I would not return . However, if smoking is not an issue for you then yes, hotel would be great .

• 48jayner (10/5): Little paradise in wonderful location - First time in Khao Lak, we arrived in the rain and after very welcoming check in were shown straight to the cosy restaurant for the Friday buffet dinner (Fridays only). Our stay was all inclusive which we highly recommend… the lunch and dinner are 3 courses with extensive choices including soups Thai food, burger, pizzas, sandwiches and Italian classic pasta dishes. The drinks menu is equally impressive with large beers, house wines, cocktails, milkshakes, smoothies! The quality is superb. After dinner we were shown to our comfortable rooms which could do with some updating but were clean comfortable and spacious. Bed linen was excellent. We had one swim up and one double room … which as a family of 3 adults we shared the swim up during the afternoon which worked out nicely! The pools are cold and refreshing but again the tiles are coming off in places and the decking needs replacing (saw someone measuring up so probably in hand). It didn’t take us long to realise that the hotel is superbly placed in Khao Lak which is a huge resort. It’s a ten minute uphill walk to main strip but close by are restaurants and shops and if you are not able to walk a taxi will run you up for 100 bht. The taxis are in car park by beach. The beach is opposite the hotel … very pretty. Too rough in September which is rainy season. There is a road in front of the hotel but it’s an access road so little traffic and hotel is peaceful and quiet with few children as the back part is adult only (wonderful). What really makes this hotel though are the superb staff from reception, cleaners to bar and management team. I feel guilty naming just a few but Chay, Bee, Honey, Kendrick and sweet man serving in evening with moustache all so friendly helpful … we will miss you. A fantastic choice value for money and will return.
• Pascal (8/5): Geweldig maar heeft klein beetje liefde nodig - Vriendelijk personeel, schoon en prachtige vormgeving. Het hotel heeft wat liefde nodig. Op eerste gezicht heel mooi, maar als je beter kijkt dan zie je wel wat achterstallig onderhoud aan het zwembad, badkamer, gebouwen, bruggen en paden.
