• Louis (8/5): - Hôtel très bien situé et pas trop cher pour quelque chose trouvé à la dernière minute. Les lits sont satisfaisants. Heureusement qu'il y avait l'air climatisé car il faisait très chaud à l'extérieur. La décoration est un peu surprenante au début mais on s'y fait (j'ai cru comprendre que chaque chambre avait son univers propre). Je recommande pour un séjour rapide ! La salle de bain pourrait être améliorée : l'évier est dans la chambre, et la porte a une fenêtre (que nous avons cachée avec une serviette). Mais il n'y a rien de vraiment dérangeant pour un séjour bref.

• Samuel (7/5): Il nostro soggiorno è andato bene perché ci hanno accolto bene e la posizione è fantastica. In linea di massimo la defin - è molto particolare all’interno, tutta decorata artisticamente e la posizione è fantastica. Il quartiere è tranquillissimo e l’ingresso da proprio su una parte della 25esima che è pedonale perché sia da un lato che dall altro si trova il Baruch College. Lo staff è super gentile e disponibile e si respira proprio una bella aria amichevole all’interno. C’è anche un bel gattone che gira per l’hotel. La pulizia non era il massimo, siamo arrivati il primo giorno e abbiamo trovato un materasso in mezzo al corridoio ed una forte puzza lungo lo stesso. Al decimo giorno quando siamo andati via il materasso era ancora lì e la puzza idem. La Camera era ordinata ma da un controllo veloce si vedeva traccia di polvere qua e là. Purtroppo in una tripla non c’era armadio ma solo una cassettiera a tre cassetti uni dei quali non si apriva. Quindi poco spazio per la roba

• Shawn (4/5): Fine for location and price; keep expectations low - Location @ 25th and 2nd Ave. was very convenient. Also, I took a redeye into NYC and they were able to give me my room early! Manager on my last two days was terrific, very friendly and accommodating. Early managers, not so much. Lighting in room was very poor - just a ceiling lamp and small bedside lamp that wasn't very bright; nothing over the mirror above the sink. No table or bench in the bathroom to place clothes. I knew there was no elevator, but still, walking up to 4th floor on narrow staircase was a challenge. Hotel wifi didn't work in my room; I had to walk down to the 2nd fl. lobby. Noise from students at night on 25th St. plaza was loud until midnight/1 a.m. - bring earplugs.

• Jie (5/5): - The location is excellent, lively neighborhood. Lots of good food. The decorations are kind of cool. Bed is comfy. The facility is very old. The whole floor has only one toilet and one shower, the drain doesn't work well, have to wait 10 minutes for the water become hot. And don't expect anything more than a small bar of soap.

• Marta (7/5): - Staff is amazing! They let us pick the room we preferred out of three and were very friendly. They also have a resident cat called Ned, and of course we loved him! There's complimentary coffee and tea for breakfast, and they offer to keep your luggage safe even after check-out. The rooms are very basic, there's nothing to put your clothes in.

La gente del hotel muy maja y súper flexible. Yo tuve un problema y fueron muy amables. La bañera no tragaba del todo bien.

Quelqu'un nous a aidé a monter nos valises 😊 Les lits sont confortables. Chambre avec salle de bain privée. Hotel basique qui fait le taf. Nous étions la pour visiter et donc on ne cherchait pas un grand hôtel .... Ned 🐈‍⬛ est adorable Les fenêtres qu'on ne sait pas ouvrir et fermer comme on veut. Le chauffage fonctionnait en permanence, impossible de l'éteindre de nous même et alors il fait du bruit pendant la nuit quand il s'allume.

• Daniela (10/5): Da provare!! - Il luogo è particolare, deve piacere.. detto questo noi ci siamo sentiti come a casa. Staff gentilissimo, posizione buona, caffè e tè sempre a disposizione gratuitamente, ambienti puliti, stanza adeguata per le nostre necessità. Il prezzo ottimo. Il gatto Ned un valore aggiunto! A noi è piaciuto tutto, ma per correttezza va detto che la struttura è 'antica' e i bagni in comune migliorabili. Ma per noi è andato bene cosi.

I happen to like that, but I suppose it is not to everyone's taste. I find the rooms comfortable and I feel safe there.

Il bagno in camera era comodo e pulito, anche se un pò datato. C'è la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli nella luggage room dopo il check-in. Nulla.
• Ana (10/5): - Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos. Muy buena ubicación y calidad precio. Nos hicieron un upgrade de habitación, super espaciosa. Nos encantó volver a ver a Ted, el gato. No es un hotel para todo el mundo, por su decoración y sus instalaciones, pero repetiremos sin dudarlo.

Pedimos frazada extra y secador de pelo en recepción sin problemas. El lugar está bien calefaccionado. Se sentía olor a pis en los pasillos. Yo fui a una habitación con baño privado. Creo q el olor venía del baño compartido.

• Dariusz (7/5): Było ok! - Podobało mi się, że pomimo łazienki współdzielonej z innymi osobami kran i zlew znajdowały się w pokoju hotelowym. Oprócz tego kawa i woda były dla każdego za darmo. Dodatkowo, obsługa była bardzo pomocna i miła. Minusem było to, że w pokoju było dość ciemno przez fakt, iż było mało światła, oświetlenia w pokoju (lamp). Również było dość głośno w nocy z zewnątrz, ale to chyba jest urok Nowego Jorku i przez to było głośno.

• Carla (8/5): Muy buena relación calidad-precio - La ubicación es excelente, el metro a 10’ andando y el midtown a 30’. La verdad que está justo en el centro y tiene muy buenas conexiones. El wifi funciona bien, tienen secador de pelo y a pesar de que no tienen servicio de habitaciones, te dan toallas y sábanas limpias cada vez que lo pides. También disponen de una fuente de agua gratis y la puerta va con código. Te dejan guardar las maletas en una sala después del check out. Las camas son muy cómodas (colchón mullido, no duro). Tienen un cajero para sacar efectivo. Nuestra habitación tenía el lavamanos pegado a la cama y era un poco incómodo. No tiene ascensor para subir las maletas, con lo que si te toca una habitación en una planta superior y llevas mucho equipaje puede ser un incordio. Es un hotel muy pintoresco, con murales y decoraciones muy extravagantes. Personalmente a mí no me supone un inconveniente, pero para gustos, colores.
• João Carlos (3/5): Infelizmente não pretendo retornar, nem indicar. - A localização está ok, pois fui eu que escolhi, então ok. As fotos que disponibilizam do quarto não foram as mesmas do quarto que eu fiquei. A cama não tinha cabeceira, tinham duas camas num quarto pequeno, então não sobrou espaço nem pra caminhar direito no quarto. A janela não dava vista pra rua, e sim para um lugar escuro. O barulho do ar condicionado do vizinho incomodou. O chuveiro do meu andar não esquentava, tinha de tomar banho em outro andar. Demoraram pra me atender quando cheguei, vizinhos tiveram de abrir a porta pra mim (na confiança). Na verdade é um hostel, não um hotel.

• Mark (9/5): A great new find in the city with lots of historical and artistic character - I love the historical artistic nature of the Carlton arms Hotel.. I’ve also found the staff to be unfailingly, friendly and interesting. During my recent visit last week, which was my third time at the hotel, I also discovered both Lucia’s pizza slices and they Think Coffee shop two blocks to the south I would’ve liked double Jacuzzis in the rooms, French lavender honey toast served in bed for breakfast, and an IMAX cinema for on the first floor of the establishment. Otherwise, the Carlton arms and staff are my new go to affordable hotel in NYC. Thanks guys. Mark Micale.

• Marc (7/5): - Es ist ein verrücktes Hotel. Man muss es mögen. Vorher genau die Bilder und die Ausstattung anschauen. Es ist dort sauber und die Lage ist erstklassig. Meine Frau war begeistert, ich nicht.
• Ingo (7/5): Alles in allem ein gelungener Aufenthalt (auch wegen der Hotelkatze!) wir würden wieder kommen. - Tolle, individuell gestaltete Zimmer mit unnacharmlichem Charme. Muss man allerdings mögen. Das ganze Hotel ist einfach und die Ausstattung eher spärlich, aber wenn man eine Stadt erleben möchte, völlig ausreichend. Dusche und Toilette auf dem Flur, aber tippitoppi sauber. Wir durften uns sogar unser Zimmer aussuchen, hatten aber bei der Auswahl nicht darauf geachtet, dass man das Fenster nicht öffnen konnte. Es gab zwar eine Klimaanlage, die musste aber permanent gegen die brüllende Heizung (die man auch nur sehr bedingt regulieren konnte) anarbeiten, so dass wir in einem völlig überheizten Zimmer schlafen mussten. Außerdem ging das Fenster zu einem Lichtschacht raus, so dass es bei Tag genauso dunkel im Zimmer war, wie am Abend. Und dann nur sehr funzelige Zimmerbeleuchtung.

• Elise (5/5): Inhabituel - L’emplacement est bien central et permet de se déplacer à pieds ou en métro très facilement Même en étant prévenu par les commentaires on est quand même surpris par le côté « roots » de l’hôtel. On est presque dans une auberge de jeunesse. Pas de ménage de fait pendant les 10 jours, on doit demander du papier toilette, des serviettes, descendre les poubelles… la propreté est très limite, tout est en mauvais état, même le sol n’est pas droit. Il ne faut pas être regardant au niveau confort et hygiène.

• Ylenia (1/5): - Having a hotel full of different and unique artsy rooms is a cool idea, the staff was kind and the cat in the hall was the cutest thing ever! The hotel is very dirty, you can't even take a shower or a bath even if you have a private bathroom in your room 'cause there's rust in the tub. The little sink placed in the bedroom and not in the bathroom is not too comfortable and there was also hair in it, which is not exactly a warm welcome for a paying guest. The bathroom stinks and the windows can't be opened. There is no elevator, so it can be pretty challenging if you're older or if you have little kids. Careful with the plugs! Most of them are broken and won't work at all. In our room there was also a dirty chair with a big stain on it... not really professional. If the staff kept the place clean, it would be a very interesting and peculiar hotel. What a shame.

Loved how each floor had a theme and there were also cool decorations and knickknacks around that gave the place a unique and interesting vibe. Unless I was blind, I did not see any water fountains to fill my water bottle up on the other floors. Water was all the way on the first floor where check in/out was.

• paul (7/5): My go to place to stay when visiting friends in Manhattan. - The Carlton Arms earns its points with me because of the workers and the artistic works in the individual rooms and hotel. It is very bohemian. The rooms and hotel are a bit run down but clean. It is a good place to sleep as you go out in the city. More ideal for single travelers and backpackers but not if you are in town for a big business meeting. Nothing.

• karine (6/5): l'hotêl c'est juste pour dormir donc suffisant pour quelques jours - l'emplacement de l'hotel, la décoration très très atypique ( faut aimer la couleur ), le personnel très gentil et serviable, on avait une chambre avec salle de bain privée au deuxième étage relativement calme pour NY ( on était pas coté rue donc pas de vue mais pas de bars non plus, avec des bons bouchons c'est parfait), et le prix imbattable en pleine semaine avant Noel, et literie hyper confortable. pas de surprise sur l'aspect " dans son jus" de l'hotel car bien clair sur leur site, odeur désagréable dans le couloir du deuxième étage mais pas dans notre chambre, l'isolation quasi inexistante des fenetres donc air froid la nuit qui passait , juste un double rideau pour couper l'air mais on nous a proposé un radiateur mobile en complément du chauffage de la chambre ( chambre bien chauffée tout au long de la nuit malgrès tout). Je n'y retournerai pas forcément pour un prochain voyage mais je ne regrette pas l'expérience , c'était à vivre au moins une fois :)
