• Andreas (10/5): Top Unterkunft, tolle Gastgeber – klare Empfehlung von uns! - Als Familie (2 Erwachsene, 2 Teenager) wurden wir von unserem Gastgeber herzlich mit Tee und Kaffee empfangen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmack- und liebevoll mit vielen netten kleinen Details eingerichtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und ordentlich. In den Betten haben wir gut geschlafen, die Matratzen waren nicht durchgelegen. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt mit vielen Blumen und Pflanzen und einer gemütlichen Sitzecke. Die liebevoll eingedeckten Frühstückstische stehen im verglasten Wintergarten, das Frühstück wurde individuell vom Gastgeber zubereitet. Besonders zu empfehlen ist das Omelette mit Bacon und Tomaten (fällt groß aus). Dazu gab es frisch gefilterten Kaffee / Tee, 2 Sorten Saft, Milch, mehrere Sorten Cornflakes sowie Fruchtjoghurt, Marmelade, frisches Obst, Wurst und Käse. Sehr dankbar waren wir für die vielen Ausflugstipps und die sehr informativen Gespräche. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und empfehlen das Haus mit bestem Gewissen weiter. Es gibt von unserer Seite nichts Negatives.

• Harry (10/5): A wonderful stay in Cornwall due in no small part to Eden’s Rest. - Everything was in place to ensure we had the perfect holiday. Every need was anticipated and the welcoming atmosphere created by our hosts was very welcome after a hard day sightseeing. The breakfast was perfect, setting us up for the day and Eden’s Rest was perfectly situated to explore Cornwall. There was absolutely nothing to dislike - hence the high scores across the board.

We had the Rose Room and even the separate private bathroom didn't make a blind bit of difference to our stay. It was like staying with friends. We will be going back

• Kevsidd (10/5): Blow the bugle for Eden's Rest - Bugle as a village is quite ordinary. Eden's Rest was a shock. Ian managed to mix stylish and homely and had thought of absolutely everything. His cooking was MasterChef standard and he's such a nice man and a wonderful host. What's not to like?

It would have been nice to have an en-suite. Only 2 rooms, one of which was en-suite but we had the other. A very nice clean room but not so good to go out to the bathroom - would request the other room on a next visit.

• Fionat29 (10/5): The tiniest and best Bed and Breakfast. - Marvelous place to use as a base for your holiday. Ian, one of the hosts cooks a fantastic breakfast to your own specifications, the coffee is great and there is fruit, cereal and toast if you want it. It's the little touches that make it so comfortable. Fresh bottled water every day, a jug of water to use in the kettle, a little pack of cookies. Soap, shampoo and shower gel is provided as well as plenty of towels. Another simple thing is the switches for the bedside table lamps are attached to the table so you aren't hunting down the cord to switch them on or off. As I said, simple but so useful. Our room wasn't ensuite but we had our own private bathroom which was just down the hall. All in all, fantastic, oh and there were 2 really cute pups who love to say hello but won't bother you if you don't want them to. A really minor thing but the air freshener in the bathroom was a bit overpowering. That's it. The only thing. It's a lovely place to stay

Room had everything you need, including tea making facilities, topped up everyday, tv, fan etc. Access to gorgeous garden and daily FULL breakfast ( cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, and hot choices)in conservatory. Also, lounge room with tv comfortable sofas etc. at front. Ian is a very obliging owner and couldn't do enough. Helped us set up for takeaways and gave us use of cutlery etc, even warmed up plates!! Daily cleaning. Beds comfortable. Shower excellent- very powerful. En suite small but functional and cleaned daily. Heated towel rail, and towels freshened daily. Ian has 2 lovely small,older dogs- no bother at all - friendly and mostly quiet. Ian would have restricted them if we wanted, but we were happy with them. Owner has good knowledge of main attractions and local area. All in all a good stay and very personable host.

He even provided us with a blanket to take to the minack theatre for an evening show. The property has very beautiful garden to relax in. Good location to visit many sights and for the Airport.

It was small but comfortable, same as the bathroom: small but clean, functional and with a modern shower. Breakfast is excellent and I loved that every night I could chose the breakfast for the following morning, able to vary ingredients and I pleased. Ingredients were always fresh and hot breakfast was delicious. The place is in a very quiet spot, but within easy reach of a good selection of pubs, restaurants and main connections. I loved the list for local restaurants and places where to eat with personal comments and contact details that Ian prepared for the guests. Overall a very pleasant stay. Only downside: the curtains are not proper blackout, so would recommend bringing an eye mask if you fancy sleeping a bit longer during summer mornings.
