Guest Reviews
- Roger (6/5): - The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The room was nice, but there were a lot of bugs. I bought a can of bug spray and used it every day.
- antonio (10/5): - Once again I liked very much the attention from the staff of the reception
- Antonio (8/5): - I missed the coffe o te and the cattle to havevhot water
- Verified traveler (10/5): - エアコンから水垂れてたけど、タオルを敷いてくれていたので良かったと思う

- Verified traveler (8/5): very good and infront of pesar baru market. - If they provide a slippers in room it will be better. 😊
- Jochen (10/5): worth the money - Jakarta is always worth visiting
- kaj (8/5): Nice hotel in busy Jakarta - It was nice and organized and xlose to thr national monument
- John (8/5): good trip - it was good for the money a nice resting place
- Rhomy (6/5): Near to places of interest - Very near to places. Towel not white. Abit dirty. Manila Red Planet is well maintain. If got some budget. Find nice hotel
- Brian (6/5): Nice hotel except facility is not very good - The hotel is located at a very convenient place, there are blue bird taxies outside so it's very easy to go anywhere. The wifi is very good as well.
However the air conditioner drops water like raining, and the door look seems to have problem that I have to open and close for few times to make sure it is locked.
- Vivek (6/5): 2 out of 5, if 5 is the best - No hot water!! Got alot of small2 animal.
Not really recomended for a long trip.
- ismail (10/5): In the heart of the city - Near to many malls, access to the city centre are easy and cabs, angkot and bajaj can be found in front of Red Planet Hotel Pasar Baru. 24hrs Convenience store next to the hotel.
- SAFINAH (2/5): Meh - It was okay but I definitely won't book Red Planet Hotel anymore.
There was no heater, no iron and the plug was not being checked before letting us in.
- Peter (10/5): Convenient central Jakarta hotel. - The hotel was chosen primarily to be reasonably close to Gambir station. It would not be an easy walk but it is less than a 15 minute taxi ride. I did however walk 750m to the local train station Sawah Besar to go to Bogor for the day. I believe the TransJakarta bus is a similar distance. It was ideal for me for a couple of nights after a long flight.
- Ruzzim (8/5): near to Pasar Baru for shopping - nice hotel and intend to stay here again. The staffs very helpful and the cafe beside the hotel provide good good but the price little bit expensive.
- Yulia (6/5): - The cleaner didn't aware about toiletries and drinking water, the light in bathroom was stuck off
- Rich (8/5): Value, clean, and friendly staff - I enjoyed my stay at Red Planet. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and had great value. The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. All Incould have wanted. The only downside was there wasn't a lot to do in walking distance but the metro was pretty close and there were blue bird (good brand) taxis always in front.
- edward walker (10/5): nice and clean - pleasant
- Luca (6/5): Jakarta Red Planet Hotel - I have just spent almost 3 weeks at this hotel and found it to be clean and the staff helpful any problem I did have the staff sorted out fast I did have to change room once as the air con unit in my room started to leak but I was moved to a room as soon as I informed the front of house staff the rooms are cleaned every day and bottled water is left in you room every day as well the hotel is next to the shops and some good food out lets. it has a right next to good shopping. I plan to return soon and will use this hotel again
- Harry (6/5): Just alright for a budget hotel - Stamdard
- Caroline (10/5): - Nice hotel, we took the breakfast includes but it wasn't very good and mot a lot of selecyion. Beside that the service and rooms were good.
- Chai (6/5): no comments - pillow to soft , restroom floor very slippery
- SUSILAWATY (8/5): Quite worth it value for money. - Good value for money.
The only short-comings are :- 1) the corridor is not air-conditioned, 2) the room does not have telephone and 3)there is no mini-fridge or bar in the room.
Security is good as the lifts to the the rooms are only accessible with the room card, but only one (1) card is given. If there were 2 cards, it would have made the stay more comfortable and convenient, imagine if I have to grab something and my partner is in the room.
The electricity supply is cut off when the card is removed from the slot and if I don't have the card, I will have to ask help from the front desk.
Very convenient as the 24-hour supermarket is just next door and Pasar Baru and shopping centres are either nearby or just diagonally opposite.
- Andre (6/5): Nice Hotel - Good hotel to spend the night, though I wish they give 2 key rooms to eliminate the trouble in case one of a person decide to stay and the other going out.
The warm hotel is not functioning all the time, but other than that pleasant stay.
- simm (4/5): nice hotel close to KFC & 7-eleven - Rooms are very small, esp.when you book a queen size bed. No closets, or a place to hang or put your clothes. You have to ask about more towels, soaps, etc...... all the time. No morning coffee or tea available. Terrible jakarta very noise traffic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good budget hotel at convenient location.. - Note: name has changed to Red Planet...good wifi..nice location...
- solo traveler (8/5): It's a nice little new place. Good value for sure - Easy to get to. Take Damri bus to Gambir train station. Train up two stops and a short walk east to the hotel
- Hugo (6/5): Hotel good for a night close to KRL train station. - Stayed only for one night. When I wanted to go to my room I heard from management there was a problem so they offered me another room. It has what you need although couldn't find remote control for tv and mini safe wasn't working properly
- Emily (6/5): Okay hotel, sketchy neighbourhood - The hotel was decent overall. Our a/c dripped on the bed and the room was barely big enough to fit two beds. They didn't come to makeup the room or replace the water we got on the first night, but everything was pretty new and the staff was accommodating.
The worst thing about this hotel is the neighbourhood it's in. My friend and I went to find dinner one night and both felt uncomfortable walking around the area where strange men will constantly yell at you and refuse to leave you alone. I understand that this is partly cultural, but we weren't treated that way in the nicer neighbourhoods.
If I ever stay in Jakarta again I'll choose a different area.
- John (10/5): about hotel - There no tea & coffee making facilties, friendly staff, miles from the city centre and i guess you only get what you pay for.
- Noura Barakuda (8/5): Great close to all i need - I love having indomart coffee, hot chocolate & ect at only 6000rups.
juz beside e hotel. E restaurant is delicious but exp. To b more cheaper and more choices for budget traveller like us who wanna stay longer.
The transportation also cost as if we staying in 5 star hotels need to be review for daily usage it quite expensive.
Maybe sth to do at certain floor like spa or pool....
Mosquito need to be control at smoking chill out places...
I definately will be back with my friends and family for tune at any other countries!
- Jeff (6/5): Good value for one night stay, restaurant poor - Clean and good value hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap basic hotel - Good value
- Verified traveler (4/5): unpleasant stay - will not come again , add few dollars one can stay in much better hotel nearby ! I did it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Dekat dengan pasar baru - Good hotel , nice bed, bathroom , and bed room , worth for stay
- Paul (8/5): Good stay in a bustling part of Jakarta - The location was ideal with just a short (and cheap) train ride from Saway Besar to Jakarta Kota (old town). Simple electronic ticketing with a single trip for 2000rupiah (15 euro cents). Trains every 15 minutes - clean and well air conditioned. Station is just 5 minutes walking from the hotel.
I spent 2 and a half weeks in the hotel for both business and recreational purposes, beating the enormous traffic jams that Jakarta suffers from. I had been living about 30km out of town taking between 2 and 3 hours in each direction making the days longer and hotter than needed.
Close to the Glodok china town area so an abundance of restaurants and street stalls for eating throughout the day and night, and plenty in Pasar Baru also.
- Chiew Ling (8/5): Tune Hotel Pasar Baru Jakarta - It is a nice stay, new experience and clean nice room. Very good security and worth staying. Traffic is everywhere in Jakarta, Bandung and and Hazy. Well, just experience it and you will not regret. Enjoy
- Iriawanto (6/5): Nice Hotel, but facility limited - This Hotel for backer
Hotel facility, like toot brush and etc did not give free
only hand soap and conditioner have free
Tissue only for Toilet
- arie (8/5): Nice hotel downtown - nice n convenient hotel with a pleasant surroundings. Value to money hotel :)
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good - The hotel is nice. Good value for rate paid. A few issues to be looked into my room was not cleaned for 3 days had to complain to front office twice had to be tidied at night. Reception very friendly and professional.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good to stay - Nice to go anywhere famous places
- Ferry van de Mortel (8/5): Small rooms, not enough parking! - Rooms are small but consider the price it's no big deal. If you plan to come by car, there is not enough parking space as they give the whole front parking to use as taxi stand! Rooms are very noisy!! because of the use of floor tiles. There is a 24hrs mini market next door so easy to buy drinks and some food. Staff was not to friendly! Specially security give us a hard time when we want to park the car and there was no space
- Jordan (8/5): Great Stay in Jakarta - Very comfortable room. Great location in Jakarta. The staff were excellent.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Tune hotel - The location is awful, nowere near transport link bar a taxi whih refused to take us to the monument so we had to walk an hour to get there. We had our room clean once in 4 days an we had to wait until 5pm for this to be cleaned. Reception staff where lovely as were the security.
- Aries (4/5): No Frills - You get what you paid for. If cheap is all you care about, there is not many hotel that is cheaper than this and offer a decent bed. But thats it. Even the pillows gave me neck pain.
- suemaryo (8/5): Close to Pasar Baru - Love the bed n interior layout. Smart use of space for a twin rm. however housekeeping need to improve on the restroom details a little more. Overall satisfactory 4/5 stars value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, a little noisy, poor location. - The room is clean but the hallway is a little noisy. The staff are a helpful. The location is a few kilometers from the trainstation and farther from the downtown area. It is an ok place to stay the night if you are just catching a flight or train the next day. It is cheap, and you get what you pay for.
- Harry (8/5): Recommended Hotel to stay in - I was recommended by a friend because its affordable rate and was happy with this hotel, thumb up
- Pak Shukor (8/5): Nice hotel, close to Pasar Baru Shopping center - The bridge crossing the road closed to early (near Tune Hotel), hope its open 24 hours (at least till 12 midnight)
- mohamad insyah (8/5): Comfy beds”; “Great location” - hotel location is very good
- Eric (10/5): Great stay - This is the second time I stayed here at the Tune hotel in Jakarta. It's an easy to find location only 15 min ride from most of the local areas around Central Jakarta. The hotel staff is friendly and the restaurant next door is cheap and has some pretty good breakfast eats. Yes, the room is small but all I needed was a bed and a shower after a late night of hitting the clubs/areas around Jakarta. I got the room for 80% off too so for 2 nights I paid a total of $24 USD taxes included. Not sure if you can find the same deal but last year I paid full price and I was still ok with it.
- Akbar (6/5): Hotel is OK, closed to every where in central Jkt - This hotel in good for a flexible visitor and just need for a please to rest with quite good facilities. the only thing that is the hotel does not have comfortable lobby area.
- Syaiful (8/5): - Very nice and also the room always clean
- kenny (6/5): good budget - Pretty decent place for the price. Lacks electric pot to make hot water in room. No ice maker or fridge in room. No cups in room. They do provide bottled water. 1 per person per day
- nasair (6/5): Location just walking distance to Pasar Baru - The room is clean but very small, no chair, phone, kettle and big table to put our stuffs. It is a bit difficult for a muslim to perform 'Solat' . Not suitable for family.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Iast day when i cheack out one of yr satff is very very rude his name M. Dan
- Azhar (10/5): Everything is Good, no comment. - First visit to Jakarta with friends for Business & leisure. Stay for 05nites. Everything is so Gooood! Next door is 24hrs mini mart n Cafeteria. Taxi stand infront of hotel, Shopping area n money changer nearby. Hotel Service n Cleanliness is Good, Big Plasma TV in room, Internet free, Fan n Aircond in room. We plan to come again and stay here.
- Pawan (6/5): Overall nice hotel - Nice budget hotel
- Pawan (6/5): Average - Average hotel
- Eveline Sandhi (8/5): great location right at the heart of the city - it's located near Pasar Baru just a walking distance. surrounded with many authentic restaurants and shopping places. the room that we purchase are clean. overall we enjoyed staying over there.
- Mustafa Atieh (8/5): Very Good - Was Very Good & Thank You...
- hotstang (6/5): Clean but Small rooms - the hotel is located next to an indomart which you can find everything you need from food. the hotel is new and clean, the staff was friendly .the thing that i didn't like about it is the room is extremely small but in exchange you are paying very little for the room . so if you are going to Jakarta in a business trip the location and the room size is OK , but if you wanna feel like in vacation look somewhere else
- Ed (8/5): small rooms, but real value for the money - It was only for closing my eyes for a few hours.
- Ramlah (6/5): My Tune Hotel stay - Like all Tune Hotel... they are clean hotel. The room is rather small... not much space to put luggage. The plus is there is a safety box that I can put I my laptop in. The towel a look a bit overuse.
I have stayed in Tune hotel several time... and they never make up your bed/clean your room for the entire stay.
I dislike the fact that the wall are thin. I can easily hear conversation outside the door... and children voices... this place is not for you to hangout... but more for sleep and go out and explore...
Not easy to find this hotel. You have to pronounce Tune hotel to Tuni hotel ... then the taxi will know...
Overall I like the hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Hotel, very near to Pasar Baru Jakarta - When we first arrived at the hotel, we were impressed by the good service given to us by the Tune Hotel front office staff. They were friendly, nice and very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Comfy bed, but soundproofing in lacking - I guess room soundproofing did not rate as important in their market research, but it should have.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good - I had a comfortable stay. Good food, I enjoyed Vietnamese coffee at the hotel cafe.
- Salahuddin (6/5): Quality of service can be improved - I have to wait for a long time to check-in even though it was not crowded at that time. There are no food outlets nearby other than the cafe at the hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): HOTEL AMENITIES - ELECTRIC KETTLE AND GLASSESS/CUPS FOR DRINKING, PRAYER MATTRESS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE ROOMS.
- ri (6/5): budget hotel - For a short stay one or two days i recommend this hotel.
- Wubing (6/5): Simple, Friendly and Clean - I had a good time staying at Tune hotel. Upon check in, the staff gave me a goodie bag which consist of a remote control, a bottle of water, a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo. It was quite interesting. The hotel seems pretty new and clean. The wifi signal is ok. It is easy to get a cab from the hotel, so I think the location is ok.
