Walls not soundproof, could hear adjacent room guests talking and their television. Fortunately quietened down at a sensible time.

• Wallace (8/5): - Because of my wife's depression it is not to busy and if we need to phone they are always very understanding and eager to help As my wife has a walker we are finding it hard with the stairs maybe in butcher we will ask if we can get a ground floor room but if that can't be we're still happy to come back

The walls are maybe a little thin, as after 10 pm, I could hear people talking in other rooms, as well as someone playing music loudly next door. So bring ear plugs if you need to get up early. Otherwise, fantastic stay.

• Andrew (10/5): - Lovely accommodation with ensuite bathroom. Microwave and fridge a nice touch. Access via key code worked really well as I didn't arrive until later. Great value for money and will stay again when I'm next in the area. Slightly out of main town, which wasn't an issue for me.
• Steve (8/5): Worth the money. - Near to a corner shop and a restaurant bar, cosy clean room, good value for money. Good location and very quiet a good nights sleep in a comfortable single. Needed a little TLC water damage visible on ceiling, sink needed replacing as it was cracked, where filling of holes etc had taken place needed finishing, shower needed some attention to grouting.

Not expecting much, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Nice clean comfy rooms equipped with kettle, tea coffee and sugar facilities, a fridge and a microwave. The decor could do with a touch up but we have no complaints and would definitely stay here again. We also read reviews about no response from hosts but we had no issues and received all info needed to access the property hours before arrival. Nothing, you get what you pay for. Pleasantly surprised

• Malcolm (9/5): Excellent accommodation near to town centre - Very easy to find and quiet with easy parking. The bed was really comfy and the room was cosy and warm. The rooms are currently being prepared for redecoration and maybe they should have allocated another room, this did not affect my stay it's only a observation and not a complaint.
• Julia (10/5): Great establishment at a good price. - As it was self check in with clear instructions given in advance, I didn't meet the housekeeper until the following morning. He was a lovely fella. Very friendly, who obviously took pride in his job. That was clear to see in the standard of cleanliness. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. Even though breakfast isn't offered, for anyone arriving early or staying more than one night it is easy to manage food as there is a fridge and microwave provided. Just remember to bring a couple of pieces of crockery and cutlery as none is provided. There was nothing to dislike about the establishment. The only suggestion I would make regarding my room is that it would be helpful to have an accessible plug for charging a phone by the bed.

Shop just around the corner which was really handy Few holes in the walls where towel rails have been and a fresh coat of paint in the bathroom but this is really not picking

• Diana (8/5): - Excellent location. Next to wee shoppie and free parking on the street. Generally quiet at night, its clean and serviced. Comfortable for my needs when working away from home. Wee heater provided to add extra heat which is appreciated. Noting. Provides everything I need.
• Nick (10/5): - I was attending a wedding in Irvine and the accommodation was only a 10 minute walk from the wedding venue. There were also local buses if I needed them. The staff allowed me to check in at 12 noon instead of 3pm, which allowed me to shower and change. Very helpful. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities were ample. Parking outside. Nothing without being pedantic and nit picking. If you want five star luxury, then pay for it and critique all you want. St Andrews provided me with a perfect stopover at great value for money.

Very comfortable - Value for money and had everything we needed for a short stay The microwave was badly damaged on the top so didn’t use it. Needs a new toilet roll holder and a towel rail but these were minor things.

• John (10/5): - Eva was very helpful and friendly. The rooms where warm comfy and really well equipped. I certainly didn't expect a fridge, microwave an iron and an ironing board in my room. Ive stayed in hotels twice the price that weren't as well equipped! The location was great with pubs restaurants take aways and mini markets on the doorstep. Overall an excellent stay that was great value for money and I will defo be back the next time im visiting friends in irvine.
