Guest Reviews
- Steven (10/5): - Updated, super clean and well done. It was a bit off the path for the Coast2Coast and the owner gave up explicit hiking directions including 2 pages of photos to get us back on it by hiking trails.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Owners Roger and Chris are lovely as is their B&B - A lovely stay away from it all. Everything about Roger and Christine’s B&B shows the importance they put on providing a lovely comfort stay. From the soft fluffy towels, immaculately clean accomodation, to the quality produce used for breakfast.
My husband and I are doing the Coast to Coast walk. Roger went out of his way to explain directions for the walk, along with printed maps.
We couldn’t have asked for more.
PS we didn’t even get lost😊
- Alan J (10/5): Excellent Stay - would highly recommend - Great stayvwity 5* accomodation inna wonderful setting. Excellent hosts - We were made to feel really welcome. Breakfast - great many choices and all prepared to highest standard.
- Sue (10/5): Little gem - Very welcoming hosts. Everything was perfect and breakfast was the best ever. Definitely be back.
- sophie (10/5): 10/10 - Amazing views, amazing room, amazing hospitality, couldnt find fault if I wanted to. 10/10 I would definitely come again.
- Justyne H. (10/5): Beautiful rooms off the beaten path - Rooms where comfortable and well stocked , breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty .
This little gen is well worth a visit
- John (10/5): B&B stay before mountain race - Great pre-arrival communication and accommodation of our requests. Warm welcome and lovely spot. Will stay at more leisure in the future!
- Verified traveler (10/5): A B&B not to be missed - 5 night break to visit Lake District for the first time. Room view and breakfast were super and our hosts were very helpful and friendly
- Robert (10/5): - I arrived at very short notice but nothing was a problem for the owners. I also had to leave early in the morning so they made me an early breakfast. I would recommend anyone to have a relaxing break.
- Dominic (10/5): Perfect - Perfect. I'm usually the type of person to find fault with everything, with Ghyll Farm I cant. The hosts were great, very accomadating. Breakfast, what can I say! The best breakfast I've ever had. Overall a great stay.
One thing to note, if your car is lowered then this B&B may not be for you. It is a mile off the road
- Sabine (10/5): Prachtige, gastvrije B&B. - Zeer verzorgde B&B. Aardige mensen, mooie kamers, heerlijk ontbijt. Schoon, persoonlijk en fris. Klein eigen tuintje. Kregen mooi wandelkaartje mee om via short cut coast to coast weer op te pakken. Dat de B&B wat van de route afligt is enige minpuntje. Maar de B&B zelf en de hartelijke ontvangst maken alles goed!
- David (10/5): Great location for Coast to Coast adventures - A secluded spot, only 1.5 miles from some lovely pub grub. The proprietor is very welcoming and the location very relaxing. We had a very early start planned: it was no trouble to arrange a packed breakfast, though it did mean we missed the fulsome cooked breakfast. Next time perhaps ..!
- J and A (10/5): Beautiful accommodation in beautiful setting - An absolute gem, great views, outdoor seating area, charming hosts.
- Stephen (10/5): Perfect - Perfect antidote to a day of appalling weather
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the host were fantastic and the setting is wondefull
- Stephen (10/5): Quiet retreat in rural location in the lakes. - Business trip to Ennerdale in the lakes Cumbria. Wonderful accommodation in a rural farmhouse with great hosts. recommend to couples and business travellers. Great breakfast and comfy bed with great pub less than 10 minutes away in Ennerdale.
