Guest Reviews
- Malkit (10/5): - The Hotel was clean and well presented. The staff were extremely helpful. The Manager went out of his way to help guide us and also made sure our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Ganesha Inn to family and friends.
- Liliana (10/5): - I had an excellent stay at Hotel Ganesha Inn. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, I had laundry and needed a taxi and they helped with both. The rooms have great views. A little noisy at night, but perfect walking distance during the day, so what can you do? I would stay here again.
- Nicholas (8/5): - Great for the price but you get what you pay for. Its acceptably clean, comfortable and safe. BUT very noisy, congested, dirty location. If you like or tolerate Indian grit, noise pollution and chaos, then this is the place. If you seek serenity and the calm of the Himalayas and the Ganges River, spend more money and look elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): clean place to stay - My stay was ok staff very helpful and pleasant I’m very upset that I cannot get the regal for the two nights I couldn’t stay.
Due airport shut down flight cancelations I lost two nights of stay.
Finally they agreed via hotel.com to refund one night.
Also no elevator and due to my health conditions I couldn’t clone so upgraded the room for more price . But that’s fine it’s just not getting regular really making me upset.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We liked the view from the seconf floor patio. The staff is friendly and helpful. Management could pay more attention to details. For example, there is a balcony, but nowhere to sit or place food or drinks. The calendar is from 2011 and torn. Dishes could be cleared from room service within a few hours. Much potential here.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Service was excellent. Staff extremely friendly courteous and helpful. Rooms and amenities very good. Food delicious.
- Jane (10/5): Great views of Ganges - Great experience. Staff v friendly and helpful - arranged transport from airport (and retrieved cellphone accidentally left in car), massages and provided great dinner and breakfast. Views from room to die for and even the monkeys sat on the balcony and posed for photos. Good location too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Location, Good View, Hospitable staff - Good location with very hospitable staff.
One regret that I missed to check in advance is that the area is dry area and cannot find any beer in several km distance.
- RAJ (6/5): Not worth of money paid per night. - Not worth of paying around 5000 rupees per night per room. Very unplanned interior not so good ergonomics. No lift available, steps are too stiff to climb. Staffs are cooperative but lacking number of staffs. We had to manage our own during dining because no staffs to handle the group.
- john (8/5): River view room - With the river view room you get a breathtaking scene at your feet and a quiet retreat. Spent many hours reading, relaxing, and watching the monkeys. If you're looking for white glove service go elsewhere and pay alot more(for you never happy types). This hotel is clean, the restaurant serves great food, the staff is 5 star, and the location is up the hill from the Ram and Laxman bridges. Ten rupees gets you to either by tuk tuk in 2 minutes. If you want anything arranged, just ask the staff and they will arranged it or tell you the best outfit to use. Great hotel.
- Maria Ximena (10/5): Amazing stay at Ganesha Inn: fliendly and clean - Great stay at Ganesha Inn. Staff is extremately friendly, hotel cleanliness is superb, location is also very good, nice area with good restaurants. Nice views and very confortable bedroom. We are a family with two kids and our stay was magnifique!!
- Patrick (6/5): beautiful views over the ganges - this hotel has wonderful views over the ganges. it's also on the quieter side of laxman jhula which is good and is a pleasant walk maybe around 10-15 minutes. the rooms are a good size. for bedding there wasn't a sheet and only a blanket which didn't feel nice nor warm enough so we requested a sheet and got another blanket. hot water takes some time to heat up but once it's hot it's good. shower pressure wasn't great however. the toiletries given are a little bar of soap and two sachets of shampoo. wifi was okay but for instance you couldn't watch a video on facebook. breakfast is nice overlooking the river. you order from the menu as opposed to a buffet. the rice dish was good but the pancakes are more like a super thin crepe. we stayed 3 nights and our room was never cleaned. we also needed money and they told us that they would be able to exchange money the next day. people who we were travelling with changed money in town but we waited to change at the hotel. by nighttime we were told it would be the next day and would be the old 500 rupee notes which we didn't want. we saw lots of places in rishikesh accept the old notes but we were leaving rishikesh the next day. when we went back into town nowhere was exchanging money and the atms were all out which left us in a frustrating and awkward position. we had to borrow money from people we had just met on our trip.
- V (10/5): Great Ganges View Hotel - We stayed three nights at the Hotel Ganesha. While I was initially disappointed that they didn't really have a good space for yoga practice as I had read online, the wonderful staff made our stay excellent. After the first night they gave us a free upgrade to a superior Ganges view room, and it was AMAZING! We had a huge window looking out on the Ganges and the Ram Jhula bridge with comfortable chairs to sit and contemplate. We hardly wanted to leave our hotel room! We had the most enjoyable comfortable stay there. Every time we came in or out a staff person checked in to make sure we were happy and had our needs met, I enjoyed my own yoga practice in my room, looking out on the Ganges. The included breakfast was adequate but nothing spectacular, but again the service was good and the staff wanted to be sure we had everything we wanted. The room was clean, the water was hot, we were easy walking distance to the Laxman Jhula, shopping, eating, etc. The staff also helped us with taxi, finding travel service, atms, and more in Rishikesh. I recommend them highly and will definitely stay again when I am in Rishikesh.
- sandipan (6/5): Nice hotel go for it - I stayed in this hotel for a night. The front staff was nice. Hotel was clean. The WiFi was good. It also had a nice view over the river. Nice hotel . Go for it
- Dev (8/5): Great Stay - Great location close to major landmarks, not in a noisy area, clean and well furnished rooms, great food and excellent staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel in great location - This is a nice clean hotel, and the location is excellent. It is on the quieter side of laxman Jhula which is nice, but is still easy walking distance to everything. Would stay here again!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice hotel with a beautyfull view to Ganges - very friendly staff and clean hotel in quite surroundings
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overpriced for lack of service - Hotel was nice, and well kept. However my room was freezing cold and drafty. Also staff were unatttentive and more concerned with cleaning then helping out customers. That is fine except when you are the only person in the hotel and it take 40mins for a coffee to be served to you in the restaurant. It is over staffed and under educated on how to serve the customer and make them feel welcome. Overall good hotel, but completely over priced for the lack of service. I stayed in many other hotels are less than half the price which I was treated so so much better.
