The hotel itself is lovely, perfect location....close to everything you need in Amboise...dining, shopping, etc. The Amboise Chateau and Clos de Luce were within an easy walk. Staff was wonderful, very clean, highly recommend.

- Frederic (2/5): A very bad experience. bad service and bad hotel - Very bad service. The air conditioning, which had been promised, was not working during a heat wave. Other electrical appliances were also failing as well as bath tub (leaking). Despite these issues, the hotel did not offer any solution or even a commercial gesture. A very disappointing experience, not recommended. Très mauvais service. La climatisation, pourtant annoncée, ne fonctionnait pas en pleine canicule. D’autres appareils électriques étaient également défectueux. L’hôtel n’a proposé aucune solution ni même un geste commercial. Expérience très décevante, à éviter absolument.

- Amanda (2/5): Inflexible in adjusting stay length - Needed to shorten our stay one day due to airline travel difficulties. Advised front desk personnel before checking in of early departure four days prior. They said they would not adjust the stay length and charged the full amount.

- Carol (10/5): Loved it! - The stay was amazing! Our room was the best one as it was portrayed on their site. The view from the room terrace is spectacular. You can see the Château Royal D’Amboise, the river and part of the Town. It’s also in perfect walking distance to the local castels.

Our room was large, the bathroom was well appointed with robes and plush towels, and the air conditioning in the room was excellent, even in 90° F weather. The desk staff were friendly and took care of all our needs, including providing excellent restaurant recommendations.

- IVETTE (10/5): - The location and staff was amazing. Close to everything within walking distance. Our room had the indoor and outdoor terraces which had a spectacular view ! Can’t beat that view ! You can’t eat in the rooms but this suite does allow for ur breakfast to be delivered as room service so u can enjoy the amazing view of the Loire River as you eat the yummy breakfast.

Could hear the man in the room next to me yelling at someone on the telephone. Then my last morning there, he banged his fist on our shared wall a few times and was screaming something in French at me. Incredibly unnerving and very strange to say the least!

- Cee (10/5): - The staff was superb. We, having been in France for 3 weeks prior to our arrival had quite a bit of laundry. The staff, took care of this for us at our arrival and we received our clean folded clothes the next day. Nothing beats this location as the rear of the hotel puts you right in the center of a pedestrian street lined on all sides with cafes and restaurants as well as the entry to the Chateau Amboise. Free street parking in the front of the hotel could not be more convenient. While the hotel interior could use some updating, our room was perfect. The staff out performed expectations. Access to surrounding Loire Valley points of interest made this a perfect base for exploration.

Full service hotel including laundry service which is fast and awesome. Would stay here again. Beaulieu is the place to stay in the riviera. Very chill and close to Monaco and Nice.

Ovo, bacon e linguiça frios não dá. Croissant e Pão au Chocolat do picard e me pareceu ser do dia anterior. Quiche Lorraine frio, salada de frutas sem nenhum sabor. O hotel é bem localizado, limpo, confortável e tem elevador. Os funcionários são simpáticos mas o café da manhã precisa melhorar. Talvez menos opções e mais qualidade resolva. O café com leite da máquina é delicioso.

Durch den hinteren Ausgang kommt man direkt in wenigen Schritten in die sehenswerte Altstadt, mit seinen vielen individuellen Geschäften und Restaurants.

En couple dans une chambre "moyenne" une seule chaise, il est vrai que la 2éme n aurait pas tenu, même pas un tabouret. Quand à la salle de bains : encore une baignoire SANS poignée pour aider à monter pour prendre la douche. Ascenseur, mais beaucoup d' escaliers dès l' accueil, puis pour l' accès à certaine chambre. Restaurant fermé, non communiqué. Dommage, personnel super.

Nasty room - You can write nice things about location near to Chateau, room has ensuite etc, but basically this was a fairly grotty hotel and our room was rubbish. Room so small that even just a queen size bed, could not fully open door. Had to enter in sequence to get in & around door. Not nice!

We walked almost a mile to the hotel. The room was very basic. The bathroom was dark. Hotel could use some updating. Needs new carpets, paint and a deep clean. Don't purchase breakfast here. It was beyond terrible and completely lacked service.

We opened the window to head a street musician playing the accordion! We got the best sleep of our 11 night journey the two nights at Hotel Bellvue. The breakfast offered was delicious and an incredible value for the price. We also stopped for a drink in the evening at the restaurant.
- Lance (4/5): Great location but no customer service - The room was spacious and clean. However, the front desk staff were not helpful. They weren’t able to tell us about where to look for parking or hours parking was available and we felt frustrated. Front desk staff were not able to share hours or recommendations for restaurants in town and even said they didn’t know because they had never eaten at any of the restaurants in town. I believe our stay and experience would have been different if the front desk staff had been more customer service oriented. The toilet rocked when we sat on it and the bathroom definitely could use updating. The shower leaked on the floor. Great location proximity to restaurants and sites, but we will be staying elsewhere next time.

If you're lucky to have a front facing room in the hotel - the view is gorgeous (Loire River) - but noisy if you're like me and like to keep the window open. The Castle is in the back yard of this place and well worth the visit. There is no parking offered by hotel - however it wasn't an issue for us as it was November and we were able to park on the street for free - but I suspect this might be a problem at high season with more tourists around. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our visit very much and would come back here again. Merci!
- Amy (10/5): Great Weekend at Hotel Bellevue - We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bellevue for the weekend. It was in a perfect location for visiting Amboise and surrounding areas. We were right in the middle of town and could walk to many restaurants within minutes. The Hotel was very clean and our room was very spacious. We had a family suite which consisted of two bedrooms. The room was in great condition and we had no issues. We took advantage of the breakfast in the restaurant every morning; it was a full buffet with plenty of options. There was free parking on the street; don't pay for one of the lots nearby. It was easy to find parking a little ways down the street from the hotel! I would definitely recommend Hotel Bellevue!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Location - Place is lovely, location is superb, very clean, second category is very spacious, air conditioning, everything that you need is there. however, we expected to have river or castle view, which is promised at the website, we had none - it was attic small window with view to next door building roof. Also double bed is made of 2 joined singles with no double bed size mattress, only mattress protection cover and sheet on top of if so the gap was a bit of discomfort. We stayed just for one night so did not make a fuss of it. Overall, good but not as good as expected.
- melissa (10/5): - This was a last minute decision to stay here. We ended up with a grand room with glassed in balcony and an open air balcony. Right behind us we could see Amboise lit up with lights. The rooms and bathroom were very nice. We got lucky and found street parking that was no charge. This location is walking distance to many great restaurants and the castle. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best I had. The only down side was our room was labeled non-smoking and someone before us must have smoked 20 packs in the glassed in area. It was a very strong smell that was unpleasant. Had I stayed more than one night I would have complained or bought some Febreze. I however do not think that one bad incident should deter me from going back.
- Michael (10/5): - The staff was great. The ac and refrigerator were a lifesaver in the 90 degree weather. The location is perfect and the parking was manageable. Stay here.
