Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (6/5): - Ok hotel but not soundproof from the traffic. Didnt sleep well on my first night because my room was facing the street, after i asked to switch they were helpful and changed my room to the other side
- jonathan G (10/5): - good
- jonathan G (10/5): - paradise take the bungalow
- Mario (10/5): - Gutes und sauberes Hotel mit Selbstversorgung
Und schönem Pool
- james (10/5): excellent stay - very nice hotel very clean and friendly staff
- K (10/5): Close to the mall and market. Soft bed. - A lovely place within a 5 minute walk to the market and mall. City and lake view. Overlooking a busy road but the noise didn’t bother us so much. Aircon works well and the room includes a big lounge area and an outdoor balcony. The bed is very comfortable and soft. The outdoor stay here again.
- Ricky (10/5): Great Place - The location is superb, can walk to many different places, the pool is fantastic and well looked after
- Armin (8/5): - Bereits 8mal dort komme oktober wieder.
- Marc (10/5): - I had stayed here a few years ago, and honestly nothing has changed. The rooms are basic but have all the necessary amenities. The pool is absolutely lovely. I was lucky enough to have a room with a balcony that faced the road and the lake. The room’s air conditioner was recently updated. The hotel is well located close to the lake, a gym and central shopping which offers a great supermarket (formerly villa mart) and lots of retail outlets. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the entertainment district but far enough away that it’s not too noisey. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.
- Haniff (8/5): - Halal eateries and convenience stores within walking distance from the hotel, located in the heart of Chaweng.
- chantal (8/5): Génial - Endroit paisible et agréable !
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bon rapport qualité prix, personnel agréable et chambres propres
- Martin (2/5): No sleep 😢 - Very noisy room hardly got any sleep. The room did not represent the pictures on the website and the swimming pool was up many steps and up a hill.
We had a flight to catch at 8am and with no sleep this was an awful experience
- zev (10/5): - Very good stay ..you get much more than you pay for..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Happy, friendly staff, always willing to help.
Rooms are clean, good sized, could do with a bit of modernisation but you get what you are paying for.
Most rooms have a microwave, big fridge and a kitchen area.
Swimming pool is excellent and quiet.
Definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Något hård/knölig so man oftast stöter på hör i Thailand.
- CHENG-HUNG (8/5): Nice Location and impressive hospitality - Nice location and friendly service. It is pretty worth to experience.
- Verified traveler (8/5):
- Angelica A (8/5): - 2 cockroaches in one of the rooms, the receptionist was not happy when I requested a new room after 1500. Otherwise very good for the price :)
- Ricky (10/5): - excellent
- Karin (2/5): - Horrible place don't go there we stayd for one night and run away
- Trevor (10/5): Awesome! - Great location! Great room with kitchenette! Very walkable to Central Festival and Chaweng Beach! Also very walkable to Soi Green Mango for all your late night fun and safety... WiFi isn't fast but reliable which is hard to find in an affordable hotel in Thailand.
Only very small issue... Stairs. No lift.
- Coral Westy (8/5): Nice friendly hotel - love the pool - Photos of the pool do not do it justice it's a lovely area and well kept. Really large rooms even in the standard. The hotel staff are really nice. I ended up paying for a longer stay!
- brian (2/5): Hideous Uncomfortable Noisy - Admittedly for the discount room but a horrible place. Lumpy bed. Noisy. Devoid of style. Stay away.
- marc (8/5): A beautiful hotel - I've now stayed here numerous times in a range of rooms from the bungalow to the deluxe room and I really can't fault it. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and incredibly clean. You feel like you are there alone and never really see any other guests. The pool is magnificent. My only criticism this time was that I received a strange phone call at Samui airport claiming I had done something to the bathroom despite it being inspected before I vacated the room. This really shocked and disappointed me and I will now reconsider if I will stay there again .
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great stay and experience!! Close to chaweng beach if you walk through central festival. Pool was beautiful but needs to be open a bit later!
Fin pool.
- marc (10/5): Hidden gem on the hill - This is my second stay at this hotel and I was not disappointed. Wile it's set back from the beach and shopping it is is still well located to the river and Central Festival. It is a large hotel but you rarely see anyone. It has one of the most beautiful pools in Samui. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-appointed with probably the most comfortable mattress I have slept on (including my own) in months.
- Ricky (8/5): Great Location, Excellent Pool, Staff all good - 2 week getaway
- Colin (8/5): Good Service Apartment for the price. - Good area to stay away from madness of Chewang and quiet enough. Never used pool but looked nice. Staff. nice. However, it is not a full hotel as expected it Serviced Apartments which are totally different and all laces should state this - something hotels.com has to address as it makes a difference to people. Worth the price though.
- Richard (8/5): Fantastic value. Great pricing. - A little gem if you do not mind being a short distance away from the main action at Chewang Beach. The staff and housekeepers could not have been more friendly and helpful. If you are a partygoer then the front rooms facing the road have a balcony facing the road. It is busy till about 2am. Need some quiet? Ask for a room on the other side.
Then the surprise is the four bungalows on the hill behind the hotel proper just above the pool. Terrific if you do not mind climbing a gazillion stairs to get to that level. The staff will help with the bags. The rooms are basic - This is not a 4 star hotel. Don't be demanding and mind your manners. It is budget accomodation for a great price. You get more than your money's worth. I would stay here again. No problems.
- LOW (6/5): Away from crowd yet closeby to amenities - A 3D2N trip with Clean, spacious & quiet room not facing the main road. Walking distance to Ice Bar, bike to rent shop, 24 hours local eatery next to a halal shop served very good food, is close to small roundabout, festival mall & a local morning market of 10-15 mins walk, relaxing pool. there is a hair salon + massage shop next door, BBQ buffet opposite the hotel, food is just fine. Took airport bus & driver drop us off at the hotel doorstep, 130 bath/person in 10 mins. Wifi only at Reception area, no breakfast as there are plenty of food outside, hotel staff was pleasant, polite and friendly but when I asked for one massage shop recommended by other Travelers, and the bus transport to airport, one of the front desk lady whom speak good English would reply she don't know and only hotel taxi to airport, to her perhaps is a conflict of interest. other than this, she is very helpful, she even draw me a map guided me the way to the local morning market. Overall is a wonderful short trip.
- Debbie (10/5): Lovely staff and relaxing room - The checking was easy and staff welcoming. The hotel was clean and lovely. The pool was nice. Our room 305 was very nice, big, very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room had strong wooden furniture. The wifi was free and good but at times it got disconnected for a few hours. The bathroom was spacious with clean. The beds linen and towels were white and clean. The room had big windows with a spacious balcony and quality outdoor chairs and table. I liked our room better than Koh Samui. We booked 4 nights and we would have happily stayed longer.
- Marc (10/5): Hidden Gem - Looks are deceiving - What a lovely hotel situated some way from Chaweng Beach. The Hotel is divided into two distinct sections, the first is a three level 'normal' hotel at the front with a multitude of rooms. However, at the back of the hotel, built on the hill, are a number of fantastic bungalow rooms - B1 to B4. These rooms are fully featured with all amenities, although I suspect a little less modern than the rest of the hotel. The biggest bonus is that they are situated right near the pool. But, to access theses rooms you must be prepared to climb many steps - which only takes a few days to master!
- Helen (10/5): Holiday - Frequent travellers to Chaweng. First time in this accommodation and found it ideally situated with lovely pool
- Robert (8/5): Nice and close to the action. - Older style rooms, but spacious and clean. Quiet, yet very close to the nightclubs and bars.
- ken (4/5): you get what you pay for - Cheap and nasty. Don't expect high quality of service. Shower is very poor. Place doesn't feel nice. If it's just literally for sleeping then acceptable. Close to central festival is the only positive
- Ricky (8/5): Good hotel - Nice hotel
- Mark (8/5): Great Hotel Away From Busy Centre - Great hotel just outside the busy part of Chaweng.
Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Rooms were a good size and bed was comfortable.
Good pool behind the hotel too.
Only minor negative was the room wasn't cleaned in four days but it wasn't really that dirty
- michael (6/5): Samui Stay - Nice and friendly staff, but no bell help and no elevator. Nice pool up the hill and slept well.
- Alison (4/5): Noisy street, and items stolen from room. - We stayed at Chaweng Park Place for 2 nights after our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather to Koh Tao, we had to find last minute accommodation. Chaweng seemed like a nice last minute option and fairly cheap.
First impressions were good - quite a large standard room, with a balcony, mini kitchen area with a large fridge. Pool was OK not as good as the photos made it look.
However, things got progressively worse.
The doors to the balcony were flimsy with barely any insulation to stop the VERY noisy street. The street was so loud it kept me up all night. We are a young couple who have travelled around south-east Asia for two months, and have slept in busy areas and are usually not ones to complain but this hotel was terrible.
The air-conditioning was so loud we could barely use it.
and lastly, an item of clothing was stolen from my bag by the housekeeping. I had only noticed when packing my bag before check out, and when we went down to reception to complain, the receptionist claimed she didn't understand what we were saying. She then called the housekeeping and the lady who cleaned our rooms the previous day was not working today. However, she did bring it back to the hotel and it was returned.
Not acceptable.
- Bianca (6/5): Good to stay away from the chaos - This hotel is good if you don't spend a lot of time in your room.
The pool is nice.
They are big on saving electricity here so hallways are generally dark when finding your room.
It is well located if you don't want to be in the middle of the chaos. 2 mins walk from the big shopping mall and about 10-15 mins walk from the beach.
The main shopping strip that runs alongside the beach is 5 mins walk away.
Good hotel if you get out and explore for most of the day.
- Geoffrey Charles (6/5): Good Value for Money Budget Hotel - The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is located only a 5 minute walk to Central Festival, where there is good shopping and plenty of choices of restaurants. From the hotel, it's a 15-20 minute walk to Chaweng Beach.
Overall, my 5-night stay at Chaweng Park Place was pleasant until my last night when I was unable to sleep due to very load music from a neighboring restaurant or bar which kept me awake until 4.00am, followed by a dog that loudly moaned until I had to get up at 6.45am so I could check-out and set off early for my next destination.
- Gowri (10/5): Hidden gem - This was an awesome hotel which came with a reasonable price. Everything that the room offered was awesome. The water pressure was good, the bathroom was clean and beautiful, room was super spacious(superior) with a huge couch. The pool was a little disappointing as there are no lights if you intent to swim after 6pm. It gets dark and a little spooky.. It would be good if the hotel could fix lights in the pool.
- Andreas (8/5): Good value for your money - We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was big and clean, the pool was nice and the staff was smiling and helpful. It took 10-15 to walk to the beach (that is, if you enter through a hotel that is located on the beach, which wasn't a problem except for some looks). It's very close to chaweng beach road where there is alot of bars and restaurants but still far enough so you won't hear the noise. For that price I recommend it.
