• Stafford (5/5): - Staff friendly warm, welcoming Bed to small I'm 6.5 and we were given a room with headboard and a feet board also very unstable Breakfast because I asked for 2 sausages a git a cheaper type to the one my wife got .table still gad day befores toast crumbs on it . Bath towels were only changed when I out the at the door to room any on bed or floor were rehanged for us to use again The room was supposed to be a deluxe room very small bathroom was as big

• Angie Alice (10/5): Exactly what I wished for my holidays. Smiles and comfort. - The location is great, the bedrooms are spacious with a big bed and a comfortable mattress. It’s also very well isolated so you don’t hear anything outside of your room which is amazing. The hosts are also very kind and understanding. Maybe just the bathroom door is not isolated enough. But really it is not a bother.

• Naomi (10/5): Loved the area, we went to the beach, golf on the pier and the circus. We walked into Torquay too! - Breakfast was pre ordered the night before and was lovely! The beds were very comfortable and fans were provided as it was a very hot week. There were 4 parking spaces at the house so no need to stress about parking. It was difficult to fill the kettle in our room as the bathroom sink was tiny.

• Jo (9/5): Superb - Lovely room, comfortable with T & C making facilities and good sized mugs. Shower nice and big and works well. Great light over the sink with a small magnify mirror within it, was cool. Didn't have breakfast but smelt good. Had a really nice relaxing time, TV set up good and the owner was lovely and explained all we needed to know. Very secure entrance. Bit of a busy road if you had the windows open which we had to as it was warm but wasn't too bad.

A bell in the entrance lobby to let the hosts know that you've arrived - for those who can't email or text their arrival.

• Paul (9/5): A memorable and excellent weekend stay. Kudos to our welcoming and generous hosts, Ged and Claire. - The whole guesthouse has its unique charms. It's cozy, warm, comfortable and safe. The room is just right for a couple and it has really spacious, clean en-suite bathroom with wooden floor boards which we loved. We love the organised timings for breakfast. Breakfast choices are varied and food is delicious! If they can, you can discuss if you have special requests and if available and within reason, the hosts would accommodate it. Overall, a great stay. There really wasn't anything that we didn't like. Perhaps more details on which floor the rooms will be for older guests or those with minor mobility issues to make informed choices? But these are minimal suggestions as we didn't really have any major issues coming up.
• Louise (7/5): Beaches guest house - Lovely older style decor with updated bathrooms, walking distance to shop, pubs, beach and long stay car park. No chairs in family room and no lift to top floors.

Excellent shower & nice to have shampoo/shower gel available. Massive tv in main room! So close to the seafront too. Very small tv in second room. Difficulty filling kettle from tap! Hairdryer sounded on last legs! Mirror in second room was way too high ,no-one could actually use it!!

Beautiful 4 poster bed and room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed(except warmth) Our room was so cold,yes the heating was on but radiator was boxed in and couldnt feel any warmth,due to cold room the bed was cold..found the whole house was so cold, shower took a while to get hot and had very little power,ended up having a sink wash instead.Breakfast was nice but very sparse,1 egg,1 bacon,1 sausage,1/2 tomato and a spoon of beans,1 toast..all in all a very nice guest house but during the colder months I would suggest warmer rooms and maybe a little more added to the breakfast,stayed in alot of places over the years and have never been given a breakfast with just 1 of everything.

Polite owner,Local to all amenities like beach,town,parks,pubs & restaurants,so no need to drive as all within walking distance. Nice and quiet at night time,so no disturbances. Several choices for Breakfast. Nothing major,maybe just some air fresheners,as it’s smells quite musty around the hallways. Room is a little small if staying for several days or more,but ok for a day or two with very few belongings,but enough to get your head down at the end of the day.

We didn't dislike anything really. In the hot weather, we would have slept better with a lighter weight duvet. But it's unusual to be this warm, so I'm sure on any other visit this wouldn't have been an issue.

Made to feel very welcome with Ged and Claire. Great full English breakfast too. Literally a 2 minute walk from the beach and only about 10 min walk into the town/busy area If I’m being picky just some bleach down the toilet but that really is me being picky

A little fan would have not gone a miss. Booked a superior room was dissapointed in the size and location of the tv. A great location for beach lovers. A good 30 min walk to the shops and bars.

The room was very comfortable and had every we needed including a very useful desk fan which was much appreciated in the heat wave. Delicious breakfast and a great location. Free parking at the property was also a bonus. When we returned in the evening we found the main door had been locked (probably by another guest) and so we couldn't get back in. Thankfully a couple came out within about 15 minutes of us waiting outside so they could hold the door open for us. Lastly, and maybe a little picky, the glasses and mugs in the room could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly as they were dusty.
