Guest Reviews
- Mahesh (10/5): - The stay at Dove Meadow was excellent
But the way Expedia handled my booking wa unfair
- Kalum (10/5): Spot on - The guy running the place (sorry didnt catch your name) is an utter legend so welcoming snd friendly truly a pleasure meeting you sir.
Lovely place clean everything you could want lovely breakfast with a propper coffee we will be back spot on
- Anna (10/5): - We only booked for one night as it was close to Alton Towers but could quite happily have stayed longer. Chalet was really cute, nicely decorated and really clean.
Milk, water and orange juice in the fridge was a nice touch (after our long drive it was nice to have a cup of tea that isn’t made from longlife milk 😬).
Owner was really friendly and made us both feel welcome. He made us pancakes for breakfast as we aren’t big fans of a full English first thing….It was the BEST pancake ever.
Loved the 2 cats and dog on site (1 cat in particularly was the friendliest little thing) made it feel very homely! DVD’s and board games in the chalet were nice (if you had more time). Views from the B&B were gorgeous, we had a lovely pink sunset over the hills the night we stayed. Can’t really fault the place.
Will definitely consider booking when we come back for another visit. Thank you 😊
- Paul (10/5): - Great location and free friendly ownera
- James (10/5): - Henry provided an amazing hospitality during our stay. Amazing setting, and service to match
- Paul (10/5): - Great welcome and facilities
- Richard (10/5): - Friendly welcome. Comfortable bed. Adequate wardrobe storage for clothes. Decent en-suite shower/ bathroom and everything well-maintained and scrupulously clean. Nice breakfast too. Would happily use again.
- Paul (10/5): lovely chalet and friendly hosts - We stayed in the chalet and it was lovely, as were the hosts.
- Russell (10/5): One night stopover close to Alton Towers - One stop over on-route to Alton Towers. Stayed in the Twin Room and was perfect. Nice clean bedding, tea/coffee, small fridge to keep the fresh milk in. Private bathroom with shower. Full English for breakfast, tastey food from thr local farm shop. Great host too.
Would 100% recommend!
- Jacques (10/5): - Noce little place with great hospitality. Will very much recommended.
- Vicky (10/5): Lovely B&B ideal for Alton Towers - Lovely accommodation the breakfast was really good (full English) and the owner kindly made pancakes for my boys. Beds really comfortable.
10 mins from Alton towers. There is nothing close by but we went to Aldi for food (there is microwave and hob in the accommodation, no oven). Will stay again when we next go to Alton Towers.
- Lisa (10/5): - Host was friendly and welcoming. 10 minutes drive from Alton Towers. Clean, tidy, comfortable. Would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful location, incredibly friendly owners, fabulous breakfast, very comfy bed and great facilities. Lovely outdoor seating area too with a gorgeous view
- Jade (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend! We had a very warm arrival as soon we pulled in. John and his wife were very friendly, they give us a list of recommendations for nice local resturants and give us many suggestions on where was nice to go around the area. Our room was in an immaculate condition with complimentary water and juice in the mini fridge. Alton towers and the peak district was a short drive away which was very ideal for us, not to mention the beautiful views all around! The breakfast was delicious, John was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted and that nothing was to much trouble. Would defiantly stay again if we visit the area.
- Holly (10/5): Lovely accommodation and hosts. - The house is beautiful and the room we stayed in was clean and smelt lovely, with such a comfortable bed!
The owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the local area.
The breakfast was delicious with a choice of a cooked of continental.
They also have a dog who is absolutely beautiful and well natured :)
Overall a lovely stay, with definitely recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay - Overnight trip while going to Alton Towers. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and very filling.
- Mathew (10/5): - Really good location and good hosts, i recommend a stay here
- Nicholas (10/5): Lovely Place. - Stopped here one night ago for just the one night.
Was a lovely quiet comfortable place to stay.
The owner was a lovely man, and very accommodating.
Fantastic breakfast the following morning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantasic service and every clost to alton tower - We stayed at the Apple Tree Chalet with our 3 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it as there was sheep and lots of spaces for her to play.
Great facilities - a very functional kitchen (microwave, fridge with a small freezer, 2 hobs, pans, plates, bowls, cutleries, toaster, kettle oil, salt, pepper, tea and coffee). Everything you need especially good with small children. There's even a few DVDs, board games, books, drawing set, iron, hair dryer.
The owners was very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. Good breakfast (catered for vege - ring in advance). They were really good with our daughter and made her very special as they wrote her a birthday card.
We were very close to Alton towers but in the evening its nice and quiet. Because we were in the chalet we were able to come and go and felt we had our own space - not like a B&B were there's restriction on the time you have to return by.
- thomp (10/5): great! - brilliant hosts young family loved it
