Guest Reviews
- Kelly (10/5): Perfect - It was wonderful
- Antoinette (6/5): Good Enough, but Could Use Improvements - The staff here are wonderful, and the location was perfect. The campus was absolutely beautiful. Great for pictures! I really liked my room. I thought it was a great size and comfortable.
Some of the things that could be improved is providing a T.V. guide to the channels that the hotel has access to, and also having access to more than two channels. If you will not choose to pay for the cable or dish package, no problem, but then put the TV's on a swivel mount so that I am able to use my streaming device to enjoy movies or shows during rainy days.
I am not certain that the kitchen is very clean because I found bugs on my food or tray several times at breakfast. I tried to be understanding that this is a different country than where I am from, but I really had a hard time having anything else to eat or drink there after that.
Provide guests with a flashlight or battery powered lantern for times when the power is out in the middle of the night. I luckily had one for myself because of my previous knowledge of the area, but if I did not, I could have injured myself trying to go to the restroom at night.
Having a bar on sight was such a great amenity, but it was not very lively, so hopefully, they can improve on that as a great perk to staying there.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay because I did not need much from the hotel as my partner and I were out most of the day each day we were there. I believe that with some improvements, this could be a phenomenal place to stay!
- Esther (8/5): Christmas in East Leggon - The hotel was clean and the added breakfast everymorning was a great touch. A variety in the breakfast menu aside from bread, tea, eggs and sausage would be an excellent touch. One thing though was that a spa was advertised as being on site however the nearest spa is outside the hotel and not really affiliated to the hotel. I dont feel it is right to advertise a service you dont provide. This does not take anything away from your excellent service at the hotel, it only adds a little disappointment at an unrealised expectation. Other than that everything else was great!
- Roshawn (10/5): - Very kind and helpful staff, they made my stay very good
- Arik (10/5): - I had an opportunity to stay at Grand Casamora and I felt rught at home. The rooms are clean, staff are pleasant, and the owner was incredible. Everyone did their best to make sure that I felt at home. This is a place I will return again and again.
- Wim (4/5): - Serieus verouderd, geen warm water in badkamer, geen wifi in kamer en toen ik dit aanhaalde rade ze me aan om aan de poolbar buiten te zitten als ik op het internet wou.
- John (4/5): -
I was disappointed. Bath room was not good -- water pressure inadequate -- no toilet tissue --
when asked for coffee they brought hot water only.
A motel would have better service.
It is a shame on expedia -- I will not depend on expedia's recommendation -- I book atleast 6 times a year with expedia the last two times were very bad and disappointing,
- tf (2/5): It is a cave not hotel. I do not recommend toany - gery bad and the smell is killing the food is nice but tge hotel is a cave
- reefie (4/5): Next to main road, fair distance from town. - Staff happy to serve.room had patches of mould, kettle but no cups or making facilities.cold water from sink no hot, breakfast very poor main breakfast was a tinned sausage,1 burnt egg and 2 bits of toast,no condiments, juices, cereals offered or on view.main meal from bar menu poor, chose fillet steak and chips, fillet of goat I believe so was left, chips were nice.building works were carried out during our stay so no peace, seating facilities poor and old.expensive for price of £140 for 2 nights b & b in Ghana.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Review of Grand Casamora Hotel in Ghana - Very inadequate hotel .. changed after 2 nights to another hotel .. would never recommend this hotel .. for the price poor rooms, poor service ..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant Stay - The receptionist and the cook were very friendly and the only hitch was with the payment of the hotel bill wherein my friend could not pay out on Thursday and they accepted my payment on Friday.
- Lloyd (8/5): Good value for money - Enjoyed the stay and hospitality in this small but very reasonable hotel. Management and staff responded to all my concerns and fixed the air con in the room. Room is basic but clean, and if you are in East Legon for an extended period this is not a bad option, although a little far from Central Accra.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Such helpful staff - We were only in Accra for a day because we had a 12 hour layover. Christian and his staff were so incredibly helpful from the moment we booked until well after checking out. First, we had to have a letter from the hotel in order to obtain our visas to leave the airport and Christian sent this right away when I requested it. He then arranged for airport transfers at the last minute when our flight was delayed. And, most importantly, when Ethopian Airlines lost our luggage, Christian went above and beyond to help us get it back. As we had to leave Ghana before our luggage even arrived there (or was located!), Christian needed to continue to follow up with Accra baggage services after we were no longer guests at his hotel and he did so very diligently and kept excellent lines of communication during the entire ordeal. I don't know what we would have done without him!
- mairoo (10/5): comfortable service all through location is great - comfortable except that my room was only cleaned once after I request
- Verified traveler (6/5): Expensive for what was offered - Staff were nice and room was in general clean. There was a kettle in the room, but no cups or tea/coffee (instant) was provided and we had to buy instant coffee, a tin of condensed milk and paper cups by ourselves. Also, apart from a bar of soap and towels, the hotel didn't supply anything else. We had to buy a bottle of shampoo, etc. It might be that all hotels in Accra do not supply these but I expected a better service for the room rate.
- Alan Richards (8/5): Very good Hotel, but could do better - This privately owned hotel has only been operating for a short time. The owners are very much hands on and willing to listen and fix any problems which may arise. The staff are also friendly and willing to help anyway they can. The weak point is the catering. The food and presentation is well below what should be expected and this needs to addressed as there are no alternatives in the area unless you have transport. The breakfast was repetitive and often the ‘hot water’ was tepid making a cup of tea impossible and the toast nothing more than dried out bread. I’m sure if the management can put more focus on these issues it will be able to have a first class hotel.
- Paul (6/5): a long long way from anything - The hotel was very comfortable, but unfortunately its location means you sit in terrible traffic to and from town everyday. (1 hour minimum) Communication between hotel staff also needs work. Getting breakfast at 0630 was impossible and the laundry service needs improvement.
- Lars (8/5): Pleasant experience - Stayed for 3 nights in October 2012. Very pleasant hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for money. Would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was no hot water, the power went down, the soap was used by previous guests and the overall stay was horrible.
- HARDIK JAIN (10/5): ITS THE FANTASTIC HOTEL. PLS KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!!!! - HOTEL IS VERY VERY GOOD. IT WAS FAR AHEAD OF MY EXPECTATION.HOTEL STAFF IS ALSO HELPFUL. ALL THE INTERIORS R UP TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS. ITS PERFECT.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Not 'conveniently located close to the airport' as advertised, but otherwise a good hotel for an overnight stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): great hotel, but a little remote. - This was the nicest hotel i stayed in while i was in ghana. great food, extremely friendly service, and a beautiful place. the only downside to this hotel was how far it was from the big circle in accra. while the free shuttle from the airport was a great touch, ultimately the hotel was too far away from anything to make it a cost effective place to stay.
