• Chris (8/5): - I loved the property. It didn't feel like just a hotel room. My only complaint is the misleading photos on the booking sites. I thought I was getting a family unit with 3 actual beds. What we got was a 2 bed with a pull out couch. When I pointed this out to the man at the front desk I was treated like I was stupid. The pictures and description show and state 3 real beds. Update your photos to show what you'll really be getting. It was still a great deal and am glad I picked the place. Just don't like being misled.

• Shaylene (6/5): - I usually stay at a property up the street but I wanted to try something different. The blue wave is a part of Hollywood Beach Hotels, a string of properties owned by one management. The blue wave is one of the properties that needs a remodel. In the room was a very comfortable bed with clean linen. However, everything else was old and dirty. Walls haven’t been washed in a while. Basin sink gurgled and coughed up water constantly (I made management aware) and the outside area was pretty icky. The pool looks great until you get in and realize it hasn’t had some tic in a long time. The concrete needs a power wash. Check in was too swift, as in paper just keep getting tossed at me to sign…so fast I left my id at the desk. No please or thank you’s. Tuck shop in the office has a lot of stuff. I liked that. If I stay with HBH again I would try a property closer to the beach as I think those ones are taken care of a bit more meticulously. Thank you.

Motel was very close to the beach and boardwalk both of which are outstanding. The room was nice and clean. If you want maid service you need to request it. They supply beach towels. Microwave and fridge were a plus.
• Chester (8/5): Great location for a short walk to the beach. - Check in was rather lengthy but front desk receptionist did give us an upgraded room which was sweet. Our room was clean and newly renovated. Be sure to have your parking passes visible in your vehicle. They tow vehicles quickly around the area if your not paying for parking. Location is great.

Painting the rooms and pressure washing would go a long way to make the place better. The location is close to the beach and that was the best quality.

• Hillary (8/5): - This hotel was a 2 minute walk from the beach which was amazing!! The place was somewhat clean but it was old and outdated (there were some cracks in the walls etc). The service is what made the experience here a not so good one. The staff was not kind or professional and even swore at the computer because something was not working. We onlt stayed for a short while (1 night) so it was fine, but to have to deal with that service for a longer time really would put a damper on your vacation.

• TAYLOR (6/5): - Was worth the price(low rates). The doors aren’t properly installed so you can hear everything, especially your neighbours arguing at 2am (happened two nights in a row). Rooms are good for what you pay for them. If you’re just looking for somewhere to sleep and Want to be out of your room for most of the time, this is the place. Staff aren’t the friendliest, like to argue and yell at you. They were helpful to me but I witnessed them agree with multiple people. Overall a 5 out of 10. Sketchy area at night time

The front desk is odd, not like a typical hotel. Very cramped but it has like a mini convenience store right next to the front desk which I thought was interesting “all in one” kind of thing. It could use some renovation but it was good enough for us. My best friend n I loved the board walk which is right there. We had a nice night!

Llegue a las 3:30 pm pues me dijeron que check in at 4 pm.. logramos salir del proceso a las 5 por la larga fila de personas.. y a esa hora buscar parqueo yo con una nina pequena… HORRIBLE NUNCA MaS!!!!!

• Paradise505169 (2/5): I won’t go back - I had to book a room on the fly and this hotel was the only one I could find for a halfway decent price. Before the additional fees that is. I suffer from post concussion syndrome and the check in was extremely confusing. I filled out forms for parking which is an additional fee and was given a receipt and pass to hang from the mirror. I somehow missed the part where I received the parking pass, but nonetheless they had all of my information since I had just filled it out. Day 2 and my car is towed. The manager acts truly concerned and said they couldn’t see my pass anywhere in the car, So it had to be towed. Apparently they couldn’t check the paperwork I had filled out. He then offers me a ride only to renege and say his wife was using his car. I didn't want a ride or anything else from him at this point anyways, I just wanted my car. I believe they have a scam going on with the towing agency. The man who towed it was extremely pleased at his work. I saw him several times in the next two days. The room was not great. Slightly musty smell and no hot water whatsoever. There was a noise that sounded like a jet engine taking off outside of the window. It would sound like every ten minutes at certain times. I still have no idea what the hell this was. But on the plus side it was close to the beach. My only saving grace on this trip from hell. I do have to mention that Maria at the front desk is a gem. While everyone else seemed condescending to me at this establishment, Maria offered a knowing smile and a feeling of comfort when I arrived back after retrieving my car. She is an Angel and her kindness came at a time I desperately needed something positive. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to thank her as I was checking out.

After one night and late check out it was 340 dollars! Just do your own research people !
• Tonia (4/5): - This property was a chain of old motels that look like they received a minor update about fifteen years ago. Our room had an odd odor and was very dirty. The shower walls had dirt that looked splashed on it and the floors were filthy along the walls. The bed sunk down on one side. Due to the lack of cleanliness, we chose not to attempt the "free breakfast". The place would be okay if it were a cheap vacation and nothing else was available. There was no value in this stay other than the proximity to the beach. Will not stay there again. Do NOT recommend.

• Guide43111116645 (2/5): *warning* Don't stay here!!! - This hotel is criminal. After booking a fully refundable stay here on hotels.com. I had to cancel a couple months before the stay. Everything seemed good. Then the day after my original stay I saw my bank account was charged (stolen) $70.00 I called them and they rudely said they will not refund my stolen money. So I had hotels.com contact them and this hotel refused to return the money they stole from me. Luckily hotels.com understood my booking was supposed to be fully refundable and took care of me. Beware this property owns many hotels around Hollywood beach. Avoid these criminals at all costs.
• robin (2/5): - The bathroom was absolutely disgusting and there was NO water pressure for the shower. I could barely wash my hair. The front desk sent the maintenance guy and he said he would be back and never came. I gave up. Broken coffee pot (had to get a new one), and the kitchen was flooded when we first got there. ZERO quality control here. They also have NO dressers for your clothes! What is that about? If you decide to stay here, bring a hotel lock/alarm setup. It is sketchy.

• Hortense (2/5): - For each check-inn they will require a new deposit even if you are still staying at the Hotel. That policy sucks because you might have 2-3 deposits unhold with this place and still they will require you to put a new deposit if you check out and check in again because their rates at the front office are crazy, 2-3 times more than Expedia booking. And they won’t even listen to your complaint. Always trynna interrupted you by saying there’s no way to help you.

• Stephanie (2/5): - The room WAS NOT what was pictured on website when booking. Had 1 office checking in/out all 24 properties which made check in take a VERY LONG time. After check in, had to request a "kitchen box" to have a make shift kitchen utensils BUT only had dishes for 2 in each and I had 3 people so I had to request and wait for a 2nd box to be delivered. Big burner on the stove did not work. Had to cook 1 pancake at a time since the frying pan was so small, which was very time consuming and inconvenient. Didn't have a big enough pot to boil a box of noodles. One box had serving spoon, spatula, and a can opener and the other box had a can opener & wine cork screw. Glasses were either a wine glasses or whiskey glasses, no juice. No pot holders or baking dishes were provided. Was told all reservations are non-refundable so when the false advertisement happened either you stay in what they give you or they keep your money and you go elsewhere. The room had cockroaches so slept with the lights on!!!!! Only 1 window air conditioning unit so when using the restroom, it was very uncomfortable. Cable kept going out even though no bad weather. All 24 properties shared 4 small pools.........which there were parties ALL NIGHT LONG and people who woke up really early and reserved all the outdoor area all day. No tables in room to sit and eat at, only had 1 small end table coming into room and beside table between beds. Door hinge loose so room not completely secure.
• Ivan (6/5): Weekend at Hollywood - Cleanness on the room was ok, mold on the kitchen wall, garbage surround the pool area, beer can, cigars, drink bottles etc., They charge you $18.00 for parking space but there is no parking space, you have to park on the street and pay $4.00 per hour extra, some staff charge $25.00 CASH to park in the 15 parking space available to visitor at the beach taking guest parking.

• Andrey (8/5): - The checkin process: the manager was scolding an employee in front of customers. Her computer was blocking her face and you could not hear what she was saying. Had her repeat herself. She was saying: “I’m a manager here and you are not doing a good job!” Total disregard for people listening! We paid a cleaning fee. You have to book cleaning service ahead. We had to ask for clean towels every day. Sometimes they never brought stuff you asked for. Spanish speaking only staff. If you called the front desk, they said they were busy and asked me to come to the office. Just not sure why the fee ? No control over other customers smoking pot in the evening and smell was horrible! Check out was easy. Pool was dirty. Does not seem to have a filter on all the time. The next unit over had a sewage problem. Instead of containing it, they washed it over to go on the street. Terrible way of dealing with it. It stunk. Breakfast attendant was rude. Questioned and yelled at children every day. Some days she put the eggs out, some days not. You pay for what you get. Sadly, they don’t have to be so rude. Spanish speaking staff very friendly and kind.

• Nicarra (4/5): Wilson for President!!! - Wilson is the only person in this location with manners, patience and a heart. I understand that running a business is difficult, but it is times like this when you have to put policy aside and do a human justice favor once in a while. I stayed one night with the option to extend my visit, but I did not because of the treatment I received. Had the right thing been done within the first 30 minutes of my arrival, they would have gotten 2 weeks from us, but they only got one, along with a bad review. 2:30 in the morning. Security game banging on our door. Again miscommunication on the behalf of the staff. we had to be up at 5. so imagine my displeasure... There is a kitchenette in the room but nothing else. if we had to check out pots and pans with a deposit, then this place really is attracting the wrong people. you guys really need to do better! The only good thing about this place was the fact that everyone is required to wear a uniform. They at least looked professional.

• MarittaM (4/5): In need of a little love - If you are looking to be close to the beach... this place it is..but if you are looking for a place to be close to the beach and a clean place..NO this hotel it’s far from being clean, One thing is to be “affordable “ and another thing is a dirty place with roaches an a dirty pool and the worse is .. without rules..!! People by the pool till late with loud music and making impossible to get some rest.. This place is all about potential..!! We Even ran out of toilet paper and we never got a new one.. And last but not least.. The lady in charge of cleaning the room passed to make the room and when she left I had to offer $5.00 for her to clean a little bit better ... we had roaches in the room and I was really disgusted..!! Any way..! I don’t think I’m going back..it’s ashamed..it is in a really good location..!!
• Bikerguy60 (2/5): Bad hotel ! - Room was bad, management was worse ! I was lied to and ended up on this place after booking the Silver Spray. I would recommend never staying at any Hollywood Beach Hotel. I booked the Silver Spray and was put in the Blue Wave. Charged the rate for the Silver Spray but had to stay on a dump.
• MandiL760 (2/5): bad-worse-worst - I have never seen a dirtier place in my life!!! The most terrible place I have stayed! The only positive aspect is where the hotel is situated, but eventhough it is never worth staying at such an awful place
• Tijan77 (2/5): A trash can - Do not book this motel if you read a good review that would be them do not spend your money here it will be your worst nightmare they are liars very very bad service when we called the front dest at 4a.m because we could not sleep from the loud noises she told us to call the police .REALLY call the police also the room just like a trash can very nasty no phone not even do not disturb sign i can never say enough please do not book this motel or any motel with hoolywood beach hotels.com
• 732james (10/5): Great place for the price - This hotel is 1 minute walk to the beach and Hollywood Beach Boardwalk without crossing any streets. The swimming pool is just outside your door. Some of the rooms are huge and have full kitchens. They are priced lower than any other hotel/motel this close to the beach. Free wifi, and this awesome little store attached to the main office that sells everything and is open all night so you don't have to drive around and get lost looking for small items. Parking is 10$ but the meter parking is more than twice that amount. They have gas grills outside which we used the whole time and had some great bbq with seating outside so you can enjoy the sun. Good place to have a good time.
• quatavia (4/5): This what ever u want to call it hotel what ever u see on line it not true the rooms look like the inside of a trash can - Nevertheless I wood never stay at a place like this they move me from Bluewave which I had book but then that was not clean. So then they move me and my family to flamingo I was so mad the room was not clean I found anything in the bed never again
• Shortie777 (2/5): Disappointed - Very disappointed. Stayed Fourth of July weekend so rooms were pricey.. About $200/night. Room was a good size. Nice that it had a small kitchen. Staff was nice. Towels felt like sandpaper and were ripping at the edges. Fridge didn't work well and was extremely dirty. Stove was not clean. Tiles on floor were cracked. No telephone in room. TV had poor reception. Light on table did not work. Wifi never worked.. Couldn't use apps on phone. Shower curtain liner ripped. Shower curtain rings were rusty. Toilet was dirty. Looks like if they used bleach and did a deep cleaning the place could get clean. Walls were white and uninviting. Walls needed patching in several areas which is an inexpensive fix. The location is great. Parking spaces are so small it's ridiculous. Place needs a makeover. Not maintained at all. I was disappointed.
• LindaH569 (6/5): Conveniently placed - Firstly this us part of a group of small motels under the guise of "Hollywood Hotels". I actually booked the seagull as it looked ok on the internet but on arrival we were allocated the blue wave. The rooms were quite shabby and in need of a good overall but for the price and location and as we were only staying 2 nights we couldn't really expect much more as other hotels in vicinity were double the price. The rooms are not cleaned during your stay due to "privacy regulations" and they don't have safe boxes. Parking and wi-if are both free of charge but the advertised breakfast is just coffee and toast. All in all OK for the price paid but don't expect alot
• seasidewh48 (6/5): Old Florida Motel Needs Lots of Work - This was our 3rd trip to Hollywood Beach, but our first at Blue Wave. Booked a 10 day stay on the internet because the location is perfect. Upon arrival noted a "for sale" sign on the property and thought this can't be good. The people running this place also run 4 other motels in the immediate area. Room looked clean until you tried to open the blinds. They were filthy with dust and did not work. The stove was rusted and I would not use it. Two noisy air conditioners kept the room cool, however, we could not sleep with all the noise, so we had to shut one off at night. No phone in the room. If you needed the office, it was in another motel around the corner from the Blue Wave. The amount of towels were "hit or miss". One set of kitchen towels were full of long black hair. Bed sheets were paper thin. I rated this average because the office staff tried to be accommodating, I feel that for the cost of the room, plus $10 a night for parking, this was not someplace I would return. Next year I will be looking earlier to book a place at Hollywood Beach.
• RLloydGamble (2/5): Double Dipped - The front office uses a cash register that does not record cash transaction. So if you pay in cash and the night clerk does not record it properly, your Visa is again charged (the next day) and you are not aware of it until you return home. The cash receipts will not show this entry and in our case, the clerk left immediately for New York. The hotel does not accept any liability for their bonded employees, nor business practises(complaint with BBB), that leaves their customer vulnerable to theft or fraud. Without a paper trail or video the police cannot investigate either. For double the quoted price, the Hollywood Beach Hotels- Blue Wave, etc. are not worth it. Floors, window coverings, etc. are not cleaned properly. Must scrounge for clean linen. Need major renovation as everything is dated and well worn. The continental breakfast was not healthy. Mostly sugary pastries
• Sobeyfox (10/5): Awesome stay - I stayed here for nearly 2 weeks my stay was awesome.. We barbecued on the grill on the property. Simple breakfast. Paying for parking here is way cheaper than the metered parking.. The pool was always clean.. The staff is exceptional John, Natasha & the young lady at night are awesome, friendly and always willing to help.. Housekeeping girls are friendly & helpful but Teisha was my go to girl and she was great, always going above and beyond.. The hotels are very close to the beach & board walk.. Kudos to you guys me and my entire family will be back hopefully for New Year's Eve.. You guys made my stay great..
• Sobeyfox (8/5): Great stay - Had a not to nice experience early in the stay but when John the manager showed up he made it all better.. Thank you John for being an awesome person keep it up and I will be back.. The room was nice, clean and spacious.. Housekeeping was great. Change my stuff when I ask and were always pleasant. Hotel is Very quiet. Internet worked great here. My kids love this section with the pool that was always clean.. Just a few steps from the beach and resturants. Thanks again John and your housekeeping staff for changing around my vacation from being miserable to great..
• Titoske (10/5): Excellent - It's spacious and well cleaned the pools are always clean and the scenery is well maintained. I recommend it to stay here . The prices are reasonable overall this place is worth it . The hotels are close proximity to the ocean and the stores are nearby . This hotel has a small convenient store located inside with its ATM . Worth a shot to try it
