Jan (10/5): - Manager Johan is zeer gastvrij en zorgt dat u zich snel thuis voelt Kasteeltje ligt heerlijk rustig en vlakbij st gerlach,Valkenburg,Maastricht Ontbijt uitstekend Corona maatregelen goed doorgevoerd Romantische locatie en we komen beslist terug!
D&M (8/5): - Superleuke ervaring, erg aardige hoteleigenaren met een leuke uitleg over kasteel en omgeving. Goed ontbijt, ook vegetarisch. Hele mooie omgeving. Tip: restaurant Geulhemermolen.
Vergunst (10/5): - Genoten van een tweedaags verblijf. Geweldig gastvrije en attente gastheer. Informele, ontspannen sfeer. Prachtig rustige en mooie locatie maar toch op steenworp afstand van Maastricht en Valkenburg.
Frans (10/5): We hebben genoten van het sfeervolle kasteelhotel - Is het een strak en gelikt hotel, niet echt. maar er hangt sfeer, heel veel sfeer. Het is gezellig en een beetje oud, je kent dat wel. de vloer loopt wat af, je ziet aan alles dat het een oud kasteeltje is, maar zeker geen vergane glorie. En,.....het is er gezellig, heel erg gezellig. schatten van mensen runnen het hotel met veel liefde en houden van een goed gesprek met hun gasten. We zullen er zeker nog eens naar teruggaan, terug naar dat knusse hotel en de prachtige omgeving
Diana (10/5): - Unieke locatie in een kasteel, sfeervol en een uitermate vriendelijke beheerder. De badkamer viel echter wat tegen. Het had alles maar was weinig charmant. Ivm met corona konden we niet buiten de deur wren. De eigenaar bood aan dat we onze maaltijd mochtwn halen en in het kasteel konden opeten.

Arie (10/5): Feel like Royalty - It is an amazing building set in a idyllic location. Castle is not clearly marked however and it took us awhile before we ventured up the hill and saw a sign. You have free use of most of the rooms to read, meditate or whatever. Good breakfast in dining room. Make sure you stay in castle as there are 2 suites on the grounds from the 60s

Robertus (10/5): Leuk oud kasteel, mooie omgeving - Leuk oud kasteel in een mooie omgeving. Bijzonder geschikt voor mooie wandelingen. Enkele restaurants op loopafstand en anders voldoende in Berg of Valkenburg. Inrichting is oud en dat geeft het een leuke sfeer. Ruime kamers, voldoende parkeerplaatsen en een goed ontbijt.
Robertus (10/5): Lovely old hotel in a great scenery - Old Castle with great atmosphere. In an area with beautiful views. Ideal for running and walks in the hills. The hotel is an old castle but well maintained. Decoration and furniture are also old but also well maintained and therefor adds to the ambiance. They offer a good breakfast in the morning and other refreshments in the evenings. Enough free parking available and restaurants in the area, some at walking distance.
mandy (10/5): Mooi kasteel - Bij aankomst kom je binnen in een prachtige welkomst hal. Erg vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw. Geweldig uitzicht vanaf het balkon waar We ook konden ontbijten. Ontbijt compleet en voldoende. Grote kamer in oude stijl. Passend omdat je in een kasteel zit. 40 minuten lopen naar Valkenburg. We hebben ontzettend genoten.

Sergio (10/5): - Great experience to spend a day on a castle. The lobby is amazing with ancient furniture and a fireplace with decoration of the 17th century. The rooms have all modern commodities, so ther are very comfortable. They have a lot of free parking places, and there are 2 taverns at 10 min walking to try some local food and beers. The breakfast is served on a castle dinning room, which is beautiful. And the food is also very good. Eventhough, I would not recommend this hotel if you do not have a car. It might be a little difficult to reach.

Verified traveler (10/5): Fun castle experience! - My husband describes the stay as "imagine you have a rich cousin who lives in a castle and you're visiting him." It's not a modern, immaculate, castle, but it feels real and lived in. It is family-run and they are incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful. Good breakfast. Highly recommend.

Modernized by the addition of a custom made elevator which not only raises but swivels to enable the 3 floors to be reached. Staff was very accomidatting and beautiful location.

We were very fortunate that there were very few others in the castle, so, it seemed as though we had the whole building mostly to ourselves. Room was old but very large, clean, and comfortable. Joe (10/5): - Great visit and stay at a historic hotel in Valkenburg, Netherlands. Very neat town. Older gentleman owns the place. Was occupied by German Soldiers during WW2 which was kinda a neat bit of history behind the place. Great patio view for watching the sunset.
Melissa (10/5): You're staying in a castle! - The hotel is more of a bed and breakfast, so don't expect 5-star luxury, but that's not why you're going there. The building is really unique, you feel like you're back in time with the great decor. Since I was solo, I got one of the smaller rooms. It's not big and it's not updated, but that isn't what I was after, I was after the unique experience of staying in a castle in this historic area. It's a great experience to stay in such an incredible building in a magnificent area. It's a great walk down to restaurants or just into the tiny town below. I had to take a taxi from Maastricht train station because I was traveling by train and had no car. It will cost you about 25-30 euro to get out there, and if you want to go anywhere other than the immediate area you'll have to arrange to have a car come take you. I had a taxi drop me off and the owner of the hotel recommended a car service with whom I made an online reservation, and they were there right on time to take me back into Maastricht when I needed them to be. Also, it's important to keep your expectations in check: you're not going to get a warm, individual breakfast; it's a typical European basic breakfast of cheeses, cold sliced meats, breads, cereals and yoghurt. If you're looking for a hotel in the area for a night or two, this is a great place to stay. It's definitely an experience you'll remember!
