Guest Reviews
- P884VJbeng (2/5): Horrible - This place is perfect. For a bulldozer bugs. Everywhere there was mold on the wall and the ceiling. The carpet was scratched up, and there were holes in the bathroom never again in the area. It’s around is so loud I'm am not hating just stating.
- Bryan (10/5): - Amazing experience defiantly recommend great place and even better people
- Joshua (2/5): - Gorssest hotel i have ever been in. Walls were dirty, floors, no towels, no sheets on the bed, fridge was gone, wasmt even a outlet in the bathroom. We didnt even sleep there, ended up just driving back home instead. We asked about military discount and she said "no, we dont do military discount. The owner is arab" very disappointed!
- Meghan (2/5): - It felt very run down and dirty. The receptionist acted like it was an inconvenience that we booked online and she couldnt "find" our reservation. She was upset that we didnt know about the $20 fee for the remote. We had to ask for towels, only had 1 roll of toilet paper. And the closet didnt have a bar to hang our clothes up. The floors are sticky. For a non smoking facility- we smelled smoke as soon as we walked into the doors. Our "neighbors" were smoking weed and it stunk up the whole hall way. Overall terrible customer service, horrible rooms. Spend the extra bucks to go somewhere clean.
- Angelica (2/5): - When we arrived at the property they said they don’t take Expedia reservations online. But yet it was posted on line. We walked in smelt horrible so even though they took 20 mins to figure things out but not all the way we finally left with a key. But we ended getting a new room from ecnolodge which we immediately walked into cleanliness.
- Jeff (4/5): - This property needs a major upgrade. Cables and wires zip tied to the ceiling, dingy overall, no working vending, Towels stained, holes in wall, different mattresses. It did have working plumbing and AC at least.
- Navid (2/5): Very bad experience, hotel in poor condition - My daughter and I got arrowhead inn at 10 pm Saturday August 5th. Our room # was 210. Sink was dirty, room was humid/stuffed, AC was off, one dead cockroach was on the floor and a custodian cap was left in the bathroom.
I asked receptionist to change my room but he said there is no other room available and also he didn’t have anyone to clean the room. He said I could find somewhere else and he would refund my money. It took us about one hour and half to find somewhere about 40 minutes drive with way higher price because everywhere was booked. It was really embarrassing. We came back to the receptionist but he was gone and there was a black lady there. I asked her for refund but she said there would not be any refund. I asked to talk with the manager. He showed up after 15 minutes and said because I paid through hotel.com, I should have applied refund via them and then he would decide whether to refund my money or not. He also said because I got there at 10 pm, all custodians were gone and I should not have expected them to clean the room. Also he added I got that room in discounted price otherwise he could have rented it more higher than that.
I found the manager unfair, rude and unprofessional. I just gave the key card back and left there. Very bad experience, hotel overall was in poor condition everywhere.
- Nitin (2/5): - It was not at all clean
- kenneth (4/5): Hotel service experience. - The rooms was not setup and ready for incoming guest. Tub not clean, no trash can in the room, no towels, refrigerator were not working, room didn’t smells fresh. You get my point, and I did check out at 1130pm
- Nicole (2/5): - Dead cockroaches in the room & people were staring at my daughter through the crack in the curtains, we only stayed 45 minutes. We did not feel safe at all
- Visuit (8/5): - The property is being renavated so it should be better in the next 6-8 months the owner and day manager were great
- Brian (2/5): - EXTREMLY dirty. Hair in bed, bathroom was nasty, felt itchy just standing in the room just made us felt itchy
- John (10/5): - For the price it was what we werelooking for...easy access off intrestate.
- Ebony (2/5): - I checked in my room and the tub was dirty, they expected me to clean the tub out. Told me it was just a little dirt it wouldn’t hurt. I’ve never checked into a room and had to clean up the mess the person before me left.
- Johnny (2/5): Horrible place - The place was horrible and nasty and under vilatio. Codes i food poop on the toilet when we got in the room the inside of the toilet was nasty and the floors looked like they weren't swepted in a few days and the picture didnt even match the place at all looked like a run down place he took us to two other rooms and they were just as nasty wouldn't recommend for anyone was not woth the $63 dollars we spent for one night i was not comfortable at all in this place .
- Douglas (6/5): - Very Dirty place! under the bed sheets was a old dirty mattress ! NASTY! Need my money back!!
- Shannon (6/5): Meh - Did I expect this hotel to be great? No. But did I expect to not be able to have more than Luke warm water for a shower? Yes. On a positive note, the front desk lady was lovely and it looks like they are in the midst of remodeling, so that is good. You definitely get what you pay for here.
- Joshua (2/5): - This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Roachs everywhere , cables zip tied to the ceilings as u walk down the hallways , and absolutely horrible outside.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Meh.. - Filthy and broken glass pieces everywhere, but I was exhausted and already paid.
Clerks were kind but no one cleaned that room in a LONG time
- Joy (2/5): - I would never return. This place was the worst I have ever stayed in. From not having towels, no trashcan, and the shower didnt have a handle. This was so gross! I couldn't even tell if they cleaned.
- Bethany (6/5): Do not recomment - Hotel doesn’t supply conditioner nor shampoo. Smelled of weed the entire stay. Beds were comfy but the bathroom showers sucked as well
- Amanda (2/5): - Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
- Mel (2/5): Just don't. - Checked into the room I initially booked. There was a large yellow stain and hair in the bed, and it was hard to shut the bathroom door all the way. Got moved to another room...sheets had dirt or dustballs in them, so we ended up sleeping in top of the comforter. Floor was sticky. Used the restroom in the middle of the night and woke up my companion from yelling because the inner doorknob wouldn't open the door and I was trapped in the batbroom. He used the toilet after I got out and the toilet wouldn't stop running. Asked for towels at the front desk in the morning (because there weren't any in the room), got told the couple I received were all they had because the laundry lady wasn't coming that day.
Just stay somewhere else.
- Jermaine (6/5): - So so hotel
- Jonathan (2/5): - Unless you must, don’t stay here.
- peter (6/5): - It was ok to stay help was good and dirty floor . I got my deposit for the tv remote cadh even though i paid in debit card.
- Jonathan (2/5): - Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Dirty and I couldn’t shower for two days because the shower didn’t work. I complained and instead of moving my room they opened another room just for me to shower in. That shower didn’t drain. Had a great time in KC but only because I came to see the Cincinnati Bengals advance to the Super Bowl!! WHO DEYYYYYY
- Phillip (2/5): - I attempted to cancel my reservation 15 minutes after I booked it and now I see the charges on my credit card!.
- Jorge (2/5): Worst hotel ever - The room was so dirty the bed sheets were dirty with a lot of stains a lot of big dust bunnies under the bed the shower had a used soap in it and the toilet seat was broken horrible hotel to stay in never again
- Cathalean (2/5): Bed bugs - Pictures on the website do not match the reality of this hotel.. no lounge area.. locks did not work had to get help just checking dropped our stuff and left for the game came back and went into our rooms checked sheets dirty.. and there was a dead bed bugs and several live ones crawling around..went to the desk to check out immediately only gave a deposit back.. desk clerk Reid used to go and check it out said she believed us another guest says he had bed bugs in his room but for ride of them .. then we notice a room full of mattresses that you can see from the outside of the building terrible I will be filing a complaint with BBB.
- Lynn (2/5): - Dont ever stay there, its dirty and they are not very friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible don’t go - It a lot of patch jobs, rooms are gross and disgusting. Be better to just burn it down honestly.
- Josh (2/5): Do not stay here - Do not stay here. Place looks awful and is in poor condition. Building is beat up. This hotel seems to be a grounds for drugs and violence. After seeing our room, we refused to stay here. You’re better off spending 100-120 bucks and staying at Quality Inn.
- DWIGHT (2/5): - Dust hanging from the ceiling. Walls were not even flush with the floor. Bathtub had a mat that was filthy. The sign outside said $39 and up and I was charged $53. How could it have been worse?
Do not ever stay here!
- Travon (4/5): - I didn’t receive any towels and I haven’t received my refund yet.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Most disgusting place i have ever seen - This was the nastiest place i have ever been in. My son and I walked into our room and the door barely shut. The batroom had a trashed vanity and lota of stains. The shower waa disgusting. Walked into the rest of the room and the paint qas falling off the walls, stains on the walls and the baseboards had mold and stains ln them. The box springs had tons of stains on them. I pulles back the comforter and
the sheets were dirty. We immediately went back and told the lady we could not stay in conditions like that. She voided our transaction and we stayed somewhere else.. i am not sure how they are even allowed to be in business. DO NOT STAY HERE!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad deal - Would never stay at Arrowhead inn bad place to stay. Nothing good about it all.
- Verified traveler (4/5): This place is a joke - Found drug paraphernalia and the sheets were dirty. When I called the front desk she said she would bring new sheets to us.never did. When I mentioned it to the owner the next morning he got irrate with me and kicked us out. The place is a joke.i do NOT recommend it. EVER!!!
- Steve (2/5): - The property is old and dirty. The building needs a lot of updates. One of our rooms had a hole in the ceiling in the shower. Dirty sheets. Would not go back.
- Stephanie (2/5): - Can’t believe this place is allowed to be open. Absolutely filthy. The close proximity to the stadiums is the only positive thing about the hotel. We slept in our clothes on top of the covers because we couldn’t bear to lay in the sheets. Couldn’t shower in the nasty bathroom either. Which was fine because they don’t provide towels. Just gross.
- Brian (10/5): Good stay - Pleasant stay! So quiet and serene
- Adolfo (2/5): - I won't be staying here again ever. This place is in the poor side of town. Crackheads walking around, the room smelled like cigarettes, the blankets had cigarette burns, the hot water took forever to warm up, i got into town earlier than expected & tried to check in early the attendee charges me an extra 20 dollars to do so cash, im thinking the guy kept it for himself. The appearance of this place was dirty, used old mattresses everywhere in rooms. Just never again
- Don (6/5): My stay - Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but definately old and a bit run down.
- jbrink82431 (2/5): Avoid like the plague! - I wish I had read the reviews here before booking. I think the ones provided on Hotels.com were made by people who were promised free meth in exchange for a good review. The place is wretched. Not only is it filthy, but it smells and it's just not a good environment for families or anyone with common sense, as far as that goes.
- Joy (4/5): Well it was Halloween - Well it was Halloween but I get the feeling
- Andrew (4/5): - Dirty, zero amenities, felt like I was going to be offered some crack in the lobby.
- Melinda (4/5): Definitely different - Well on check in the guy was on the phone and took llike 10 minutes before he even payed any attention to me checking in. The give me my key and remote for the t.v. left to do some things and could hear water running. The shower was on and there was no handle to the shower. Found a live worm crawling on the floor. The lady who answered the phone when i called about my reservations was great but that was the only good thing. Dedfinetly not as the pictures show it is.
- Brian (2/5): - Peeling plaster, black mold, horrible conditions all around.
- Sarah (2/5): Never again - Rude employees, dirty, double booked my room so i couldn't check in that day cause they gsve my room to someone else
- Robert (6/5): Bad housekeeping - The bathtub was filthy. The front desk offered me a can of bathroom cleaner to deal with it. Found old clothes under the bed. This is a very inexpensive motel, but the poor housekeeping was disappointing.
- Jack (2/5): Stay away!! - The reviews of this place can't be legit. This place is a dive. The picture used must be at least 20 years old.
- Eric (2/5): This Hotel Should Be Demolished and Never Rebuilt - This hotel should be burned to the ground and never rebuilt. The room was filthy—garbage and discarded drug paraphernalia under the bed, burn marks on the bed, dust, holes in the walls, rusted plumbing fixtures, dead bugs … you get the picture. Horrible location. We took one look and walked out, even though it was almost midnight when we arrived.
The pictures on Hotels.com are NOT representative of the hotel to the extent that they make it look even marginally OK.
- drewhK6000YE (2/5): Arrowhead Inn So not worth it - The Rooms are messy and not very well stocked and it's not worth it at all. So, so, So bad. I would never go there again. You could not pay me to stay there. You check in then you see how much it sucks you walk out and find a better place to stay.
- alexsH9802FM (2/5): AS A LOCAL, I’VE HEARD HORROR STORIES ABOUT THIS PLACE! RUN! - I was born and raised in Kansas City, so I knew that the area was bad. My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay last minute before we headed out of town. We got there and there was literal rat poop all over the floors and in the drawers. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was water damage and smoke stains all over the walls. Not to mention the awful smell coming from the fridge. Being eight months pregnant at this time, I knew we couldn’t stay there. I was scared I was going to get mugged even just walking to my car. We had only been in the room for maybe 15 minutes and they refused to give us a refund. I knew the reputation of the area, but really didn’t think it could be this awful. It’s definitely a junkie hotspot. Like this is the kind of please people get murdered at. Or just go to smoke crack/ meth or shoot up heroin. Please, think about your safety. Staying here is literally putting your life at risk. And the staff just doesn’t seem to give a sh*t about it.
- 869Jane868 (2/5): Scary Do Not Stay - I stayed in the arrow Head in and I left and spent over 100$ on the nearest cab ride out to go to a family members house because I was so scared.... I noticed dried blood and stab marks in the bed dried blood on the wall... I left my room a couple times and sure I shut the door behind me every time I came back up my door was open... My debit card missing... Then another time I came up and my debit card was placed neatly on the corner of my bed as if someone was playing a game with me something straight out a horror film after I saw holes cut out in small yellow roof above the second floor Which looked like crawl spaces and noticed my window wouldn't lock or shut all the way and the heater came outta the wall... I ran... Reminded me of the movie Vacant... This place should be investigated... Someone was definitely in my room going threw my belongings and playing scary games with me... And why would they have cut outs in the roof like that... I felt threatened for my life... I literally ran and left half my stuff behind to get the heck outta this hotel... They do something in this hotel and it makes me wonder if anyone came up missing or found dead... I pretty sure they have and these owners are into sick things
- 772dennisi (2/5): Worst place in my life - This was my last resort but I honestly would’ve rather sleep outside than inside this garbage hotel. No hot water, showers didn’t work, very old and dirty. The sheets had hair as if it wasn’t washed in weeks. No towels. This place needs to burn down and be rebuilt. Not a safe place, the feeling of someone about to jump you outside the hotel. This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my life. I usually never say that but theeee WORST!!! I mean I asked for a towel and I got this! Look at the photo. Also I feel itchy after the stay. Probably got mites everywhere
- TomHuff2510 (2/5): Awful. - The room wasn’t to bad. But we had no towels in our room. The bathroom door was busted in our room. The fridge had food in it when we got there. The area is very bad area. The pool looked run down and hadn’t worked in years. It said there was a game room that was closed but never seen it. Don’t stay here unless it is a last resort!
- 591mandar (2/5): RUN .... Its junkie paradise .... - I would share more But can't hide the faces. RUN DONT LOOK BACK .... This place is horrible... They lie to u on the phone to get u stuck in a crappy situation .... The pool hasn't worked in years the game room ... Closed (but couldn't find any sighs for one). No towels in room asked twice . had dried vomit in shower and on toilet. All products had already been used (not that we had towels to shower with anyway). The refridgerato was off or broken had nasty smelly liquid in it ... Never found a working ice machine... No fitted sheets just a sheet a tucked in mattress a blanket and a "quilt."... This place should be shut down..
- moniquej155 (8/5): NICE AND REASONABLE...! - NICE AND REASONABLE! DEFINITELY CLEANED UP A LOT! Nice rooms, reasonable prices, and good customer service! It's right off the freeway, and is conveniently located near a few gas stations, fast food, and QSR restaurants. It's also near the stadium, which is a plus!!
- chrissF3992ZT (2/5): Still waiting for Ashton Kutcher to tell me i was punked - This hotel should be condemned. To begin with, the room was so repulsive, it could only be compared to a scene from a horror movie. No lights. Filthy grimy walls and floor. There were body sized holes in the walls as if 5 or 6 grown men had used the room to brawl. The most cringeworthy part of our experience though has to be the mouse that scurried out from under the bed 3 or 4 times during our stay. We realized the next morning that we would be 30-45 minutes late for checkout at which time we called the front desk to notify them that our belongings were still in our room and that we would be there to get them before noon and were told that it would be no problem. We were mortified to find when we got there that the hotel staff had taken it upon themselves to pack up our things and leave them in the lobby for us. So not only were our bags rummaged through-but a substantial amount of our posessions are now missing. Upon asking to speak to a manager, my husband was physically threatened by one of the male housekeepers. At this point the manager walked around the corner and informed us that he and his staff had acted within their rights and that because we were so indifferent to the hotel rules, we were not allowed back on the property. Avoid this hellhole at all costs. I cannot adequately express the atrocity that is this business.
- SKolasa (4/5): Do Not Stay - If we had not already booked it we would have not stayed. The picture of the hotel on the booking site does not do it true justice. It is a old and very run down hotel. The room was dusty and bathroom dirty. Looked like it has not been used in years, smelt musky and old. Sketchy people hanging round inside and out. Woud not recommend this place to anyone!!
- KarlyChiefsFan (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - If we hadn't already booked and paid for the room we would have left. Everything was dirty!! The toilet hadn't been flushed, there was a note written in marker on the mirror in the room (pretty sure it was to a prostitute). The carpet was nasty, and there were holes in the walls. The neighborhood was awful and I worried about the safety of my car windows that night. We will never ever ever ever ever stay here again. DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL JUST TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS!!
- E5345EKstevea (2/5): No no no no - Totally was not what the picture said it was! Paid but went else where. Betty pissed off at trip advisor. It was in a rein down neighborhood and the signs were gone. Bad people everywhere. Shotty construction. Felt out of place. Not a 2 star hotel.
- worldleader12 (2/5): IF YOU SEE THIS PLACE RUN!!!!!! - I show up to the inn (because it was a holiday weekend and everything was booked) and there are prostitute's out front, guys selling drugs and people looking out of their windows to see if it's the Police. I get to the front desk and it's bricked up and the price for a room is $50. I go to my room and the shampoo and conditioner is half empty and the shower doesn't work. The toilet paper had blood on it. I was so scared of dying I barricaded my door and ripped the sheets off in order not to contract a STD. The next day I wanted my money back for the horrible stay and they refused. I turn to leave and someone is trying to hussle my money. I packed my bags and drove off without a second thought. If you see this place drive off and don't look back.
- Ashley19862015 (2/5): TERRIBLE - Terrible rooms, sketchy neighborhood..stated recently remodeled, I have no idea where it was recently remodeled at. Signs posted all over the place do not enter. Very disturbing when you feel like you should have your concealed carry gun loaded prior to entering hotel
- umno (2/5): RUN! - Nothing was good about this place. No stars! Ok 1/2 star.nothing on website is true. Indoor pool is seasonal?! If this is your only choice, sleep in your vehicle. Good thing i didn't have to be here but to sleep and shower. Yes used shampoos and such were from other hotels!
- cherianngilmore (2/5): SCARY!!!! - When we arrived, there we people moving out of the hotel with all their belongings packed into grocery carts. The person at the front desk then asked what we were being charged on booking.com I said I couldnt remember the exact amount. He then asked me to canceled my reservation with booking.com and give him my debit card so he could charge me a cheaper rate. As sketchy as that sounded it was probably the least scary thing about our 40 minute stay at this place. Our room was small and dark. No outlet in the bathroom and half used shampoo and condition bottles (another user had mentioned this and I thought they were joking) apparently this is common practice for the arrowhead inn. My husband and I stared at each other in disbelief. This is when I asked him to take me to the station for a drink (I am not above cheap hotels and airplane shots :)) because I thought perhaps I was overreacting and might feel less uneasy after a drink. At the gas station in which is barred up there are signs stating you cannot wear hoodies, masks, backpacks, etc. Obviously a bad neighborhood and they didnt even sell liquor. back to the hotel..once inside the odor of oranges became unbearable. They had sprayed something to either kill the stinch of the place or the bacteria growing in there. It was then I decided to leave and request a refund. They said no because I had left and come back and I could have told them the first time (when I had left to go to the gas station) that I didnt need a room. I explained that I did need a room but I was too uncomfortable to stay there. Sorry no refund. I hope they use my $50 for something other than that unbearable orange spray. STAY AWAY!!! When I booked another reviewer had said what do you people expect for $50? I agreed and booked (again not above cheap hotels) but this is completely unacceptable. We ended up staying at the Days Inn next to the airport. it was about 15 minutes away but completely worth it and it was only $49!! and it has a working indoor pool. Arrowhead states they have an indoor pool as well but I only saw a pic and told it was not working???
