The tropical location, the amenities, the food, the plunge pool in our room, the beach, the architecture, and most of all the staff, everyone was was friendly and helpful and they made our stay so memorable. Out of everywhere I have ever traveled, and stayed, the Ritz in Dorado is by far my favorite, and I cannot wait to return one day! We loved it. -

Staff upgraded us to the lower level unit which has a pool. Great pool in the unit with a bench that you could sit in. The resort has a very high staff-to-guest ratio and they are on top of things. Pool staff manager was extremely hard working and took time to chat which we appreciated. We enjoyed the restaurants but kept going back to Positivo. Incredible view at sunset and open to the beach. The bar staff was the best. Special thanks to Karla (with a K), Walter, and Chuckie (AKA Angel). We appreciate you. They kept us coming back and the bill upon checkout reflected it. Scheduled the Omakase Dinner with Sergio. He delivered. Incredible experience. Ride the bikes through the neighborhoods and around the golf course. Explore what the community has to offer. TPC golf course on site and the food at the clubhouse was very good. Beautiful course and nice clubhouse.

- ron (4/5): - The set-up is breathtaking, they've done such a brilliant job designing this thing. But the awful failures in so many aspects of the service had made it a very disappointing vacation. When you pay 2200 USD per night it's outrageous to suffer from such unprofessional errors and disrespect. Also, get ready to wait 60 min for food at breakfast, after waiting 20 min for a table. Or ask for a pillow at 3pm and get it after 10pm when you already have a do not disturb sign on the door etc. When your internet and tv don't work in the room after 5pm there's no IT person to fix it. The 'butler' team is awesome and wonderful, it's not their fault. Theres' a lack of mid-executives. Also, there are some policy issues: why, for example, send security guards to the pool and hot tub to force people out at 7pm, why not allowing a dip after 7pm? Get ready to ask for each item 3 times before you'll get it, and pay 500$ for a pcr test if you need one. I was expecting more, and the service problems had made it hard to relax, yet the property is heaven. The plunge pool water front suits are beautiful. The east beach is more quiet, which was great for us.

The spa is one of the finest in the world! The only downside is that the reserve must of had reduced staff - twice our room service was delayed well over an hour (dinner over 2 hours), with each delay we never received a curtesy call letting us know, a few food/beverage orders were completely missed, the restaurant service was slow at times, our room was not restocked one of the days, and there was no where close to purchase toiletries (their “market” was closed).

- Abigail (10/5): Perfection! - Everything about Dorado beach reserve is perfection. Every little touch from the room decor, private plunge pool and outdoor shower, to the private butler service and food. It greatly exceeded my expectations and I will be back soon; this is my new happy spot.

Didn’t realize I was also paying $95/day for “team” bc multiple ppl caused confusion and I easily cd’ve booked things myself. I hardly used them - was shocked to see invoice. Wd’ve used them more at least but still wd’ve been easier to handle myself. Love how Clara Livingstone had resort integral to environment - felt lovely and almost organic compared to all the high rises out there. Beautiful room I cannot even explain the joy my view gave me. Limited food options and evthg pricey - but did many neat things and PR being one of my all-time fave spots for 20yrs I will be back!

- michael (10/5): Exceptional Experience - The daily tariff is a little steep - but one has to consider that this is much, much more than just a simple overnight accommodation. This is an awesome resort with many great activities and opportunities to enjoy. Our experience was 'first class' all the way and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms are exceptional - and the outside shower was a highlight! The grounds and tropical foliage were awesome. The bicycles provided to each guest were a hit with my group and we used them repeatedly. The service was exquisite. We all hated to leave.
- RR (10/5): - It is amazing, quiet and secluded but easy to get to, you feel a world’s away. But at the same time there are a lot of activities to do around the very expansive property. 5 stars for sure.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is beautiful. Its located on a preserve and the property is very well maintained. I stayed for a week in the second floor suite on East Beach. Always request East unless you have children with you. West is more suited for families. All 3 restaurants on property are delicious, however the menus are limited. The pool & beach staff need some training as some days it would take 10-15 mins for anyone to assist me, and it was not busy at all. Room service also needs some work as it claims to be 24hrs and I called several times with no response just after midnight. Same with the front desk Realistically this is a 4 star resort not 5. The pricing reflects that of a 5 star but the service does not meet expectations of other 5 star resorts I have visited. Worth staying at but spend your money else where for food/service as there are plenty of options for better overall value and half the price.
