Heather (4/5): - When checking in, the man was in his phone watching a video the entire time. The beds were not as advertised. Instead, they were worn out, you could feel the springs and very hard. Breakfast food in the warmers was cold. Not a good experience. Owner had closed the bar early which was one of the reasons we wanted to stay at this hotel.

Breakfast was nice in the morning as well. I told my husband we will be staying there again! Only con I had was the bed was loud when you moved around but it was comfortable and did the job. Sleeping with the kiddos myself I just had to move cautiously. Lol
John (2/5): - The food wasn't to bad but the mattress was very lumpy and there was debris on all the floors. This included the hallways and the room. Plus the lock on exit door did not work to re-enter the building. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Linens are of a condition that I would use for cleaning, not daily use. Floors dirty, trash on the ground outside check-in. Breakfast bar coffee full of grounds and sludge. Would not stay here again. Not sure it was any less costly then newer options
Dawn (4/5): - They need to invest some money into this property or pay to get some good staff. Everything but the lobby is filthy. Halls are dirty, pool area had dried food and mud all over the floor this morning so it obviously wasn't cleaned last night, walls are chipping, exhaust vents are full of dust, windows are disgusting & falling apart. Bed was a hard as a rock... from past experience, only some of the rooms have pillow top mattresses, others are old, hard, noisy box springs. Bar and restaurant wasn't open all weekend for some reason. Will not return as it's not worth the money!!

We were able to secure the room but it is a task. Staff was polite, friendly and professional. Breakfast Equipment needs better maintenance.

The front desk guy said oh yeah, that's like that in all of our rooms. I asked for a refund and he gave it to me but not without an attitude. Very rude!!

lisasanzo (2/5): RUN AWAY! I’d rather sleep in my car. - Nothing in the room worked. The TV. AC. Phone to call the lobby for assistance. The “bar” is a joke. I’m pretty sure the so-called bartender was on meth. He had no idea what soda water was or tonic or how to pour a drink. There were several others in the bar that couldn’t get service either because he was busy staring into space. It was awful. We wasted our “free “drink and left the bar. Also, they now charge $50 per night for a pet. It was $20 a couple months ago.

Edward (6/5): - BEWARE of your charges! We were charged for a night that we cancelled more than 24 hours in advance. We originally got a small refund only to be charged again a day later. Also charged twice at the bar. We were told it would be adjusted but it never was. The bed was comfortable but the room needed maintenance attention. Soap dispensers broken, towels were old, floor was sticky. In our brother's room the sink faucet came completely off the counter. Disappointed in our stay for those reasons.

flyfinucane (10/5): Best Gem in Dickinson - This is a Gem of a property, I believe the best Dickinson has to offer. Wife, a paraplegic and I walked in without a reservation because another hotel gave our mobility accessible, guaranteed reservation out to someone else and didn't have a room for her needs (cannot walk or stand). Kind of put us in a bind but Kamal (owner) really stepped to the plate and accommodated us with a far nicer room and pricing. Her and her husband are the most wonderful people we have met in the hospitality business in many years. This is a beautiful and well developed property with way more amenities than I could ever mention. Rooms are sturdy, well insulated and quality furnished, spotless is the word I am looking for. Staff were very pleasant and actually seemed to enjoy their work, something you don't find anymore, ANYWHERE! I could go on for an hour but do yourself a favor and book this hotel for your next stay, you won't be sorry... Thank you Kamal and staff for an exceptional stay, John and Trina

Dennis (10/5): Great place to stay in Dickinson ND - The people at check in where very friendly and the process was fast. When we got to the room we noticed that the door wouldn't latch when closed, but a quick call to the front desk had a repairman there in no time a the issue was resolved. The room was clean and quiet and for an older hotel it is kept up quite nice. The breakfasts were adequate, offering more than we would normally have if we were at home.
John (8/5): Great bar and restaurant connected to the hotel. - The staff was helpful and the restaurant and bar staff was great too. The place could use a refreshing but overall it is a nice place to stay.

Verified traveler (2/5): Poorly managed - The Building and rooms are falling apart. Its run by India folks who dont care about maintenance and service was really bad. They also tried to over charge everyone $20 per night intill I called them out and then they fixed my rate. Its too bad that a nice hotel is getting run into the ground by people that have no idea what they are doing.

We were able to watch Netflix. Restaurant was closed on Sunday. Monday was open for a very minimal breakfast. Dinner was good other than I ordered a Cobb salad but got a club.

Was quickly assigned a new room. In this room, the Direct TV time was off (no, not CST vs MST - the time was just wrong) and the guide did not match what was on. The channels didn’t even match. Very annoying since there was a tornado watch nearby and it would have been nice to find the local channel easily. Restaurant was not open the night we checked in, but there are options nearby. Easy access to hit the highway to visit Theodore Roosevelt park.

This is an event center but sure didn't cater to the patrons staying there . The room we had was spacious.

Wish we would have been separated from bigger loud groups staying beside us- since the hotel is obviously not full they could give guests some separation for noise . Haven’t had the breakfast yet, but says it is a hot breakfast and restaurant seating looks good.

The bed felt like it was a piece of plywood with 4" piece of foam most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on. Towels were discolored and mismatched. The sinks weren't installed properly. I would not recommend this motel.
Douglas (8/5): Not sure what to expect - Where to start. The lobby is very nice, the staff is nice as well. The room on the other hand was a bit out dated and needed some touch up paint. The beds were very hard. The bathroom was suppose to have shampoo and body wash filled containers in the shower, they were empty. We went to Walmart to pick up some forgotten items, bought shampoo and body wash. On day three, our room should have been cleaned, my wife spoke to a cleaning person, who seemed to be in charge, she was told the room should be cleaned in a little while. The other cleaning person was two doors away, so one would think that the room would have been cleaned, wrong! There could have been a language barrier problem. The facility had a pool and hot tub. We walked in and the only thing I could smell was Chlorine. The room had eight lights along the two walls, only five worked. It looked like they remodeled around the windows but forgot to repaint the area. There was no clock in the pool area either. The pool towels ran out, my wife went to the front desk to ask for more, the nice gentleman said he would bring some. The nice gentleman did bring six bath towels, not pool towels, which means they probably did not have any clean pool towels. I really did try to like this place, it mainly had construction workers . The free continental breakfast was interesting, one person worked it and it was mostly taken care of. The bread was super dry, your toast came out like a brick. The scrabbled eggs that come in the bag ok.

Matt (8/5): Nice but a bit disappointing - Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. The lounge wasnt open either night as apparently their staff fails to show up. It was one of the reasons we chose to stay..for onsite dinner and drinks.
NATHAN (2/5): - Did not get the room i booked. I booked a suite with a king bed and a twin bed. Listing said the room sleeps 3. Upon check in and arriving in the room. The room only had 1 king bed and no other, this room sleeps 2. Asked front desk for another room they said they are booked. Yet their website states 3 different rooms available. This room is not a suite but a king efficiency room, this room did not even have a chair in it other than a computer chair. Only about half the lights in the room worked. The light above the entry door did not work. The lamp on the desk did not work. The light above the stovetop did not work because the switch was removed and no cover placte over top and had exposed wiring. when i asked for extra blankes i was refered to laudry as if the front desk could not be disturbed by such meanial tasks. The room was mostly clean except the hair dryer was covered in 3 years of hairspray and the furniture looked to be thrown about the room and not placed in any peticular order

Justin (8/5): - This was by no means the best of the best but it was pretty good. They had a hard time keeping up with pool towels.
JACKIE (4/5): - The first room we were in was very musty. I asked to switch rooms and the staff was not very nice about it. The next room smelled better but there was mold on the shower curtain and in the shower. I asked for more towels after using the 2 that were provided. I had to go down to the front desk to get them and the staff rudely asked(commented) "Didn't you receive towels with your room?" I said yes but we already used the two provided. She was annoyed. The breakfast was not great. We were there for a wedding. My sister's room was in the 300s and seemed a little better. We were in the 400s and it seemed more run down. They also agreed the staff were not very nice. The pool was chilly and the hot tub had a lot of foam in it.
Debra (6/5): - It was very nice when you walked in. But, there was no daily maid service which is not a big deal to me BUT, the 2nd morning when we went to the front desk to ask the guy seemed irritated that we even asked and all we wanted was coffee for the next morning and he sort of just tossed them to us. The entrance and rooms were very clean but the rest of the building was very dirty. I was not impressed for the facility that I was told was the newest in town.
Shannon (2/5): - Gave me a dirty room. Sign says $20 per pet but they wanted to charge me $50. Mayhem in the lobby. Ended up not staying here. Trying to get a refund.
Richard (2/5): Run away and don't waste your money. - Awful experience. They lost our reservation. They gave us the last room they had available but it was cheaper than the riom i booked. The ac didn't work well in the room. The third floor hallway had more give than the mattress. There were no curtains in the room to blook out the street light.

Leann (8/5): - Beautiful property, just a few small things kept it from being an outstanding property. Lotion dispensers were empty, tv guide was not up to date, lack of personnel at front desk, bathroom light was VERY dim, no toppings for pancakes and waffles, towels and washcloths did not match. Overall nice, but just needed a few finishing touches
Rachel (6/5): - The furnishings were new but shoddy workmanship with a loose faucets and toilets that kept running. Breakfast would have been good but some things were gone when we got there 30 min before the designated end time. The worst part was the door slamming which started early am. The doors slam hard and at least twice I saw housekeeping staff let room doors slam. This could be an excellent hotel with attention to simple maintenance and addition of soft door closures- or at least instruct staff to not join in on the door slamming. It’s impossible to sleep through.
Robert (6/5): - Upon checkin was told they're "overbooked on king beds" and switched to a double queen. I asked about a discounted rate and was told this was somehow *more* expensive, but that they wouldn't charge me. Toilet was filthy upon arrival; No shampoo or soap in shower dispeners; Bedside drawer didn't stay closed; bedside lights didn't work; noisy A/C
Jonathan (4/5): Entry not granted - No one was at front desk for check in. Waited 15 mins. Forgot to run my card at check in and next day 2 adult men proceeded to enter my room , while I was not there , and my 2 teenage daughters were only occupants at the time. Told them they had 30 minutes to pay or leave!
Garold (8/5): - The room was very clean and was big and comfortable. However the sheets were pilling and the bathroom had wear. It was perfectly fine though given we were there to basically sleep.
Susan (6/5): - I made reservations here based on the reviews. However, we were not impressed. Tv did not work during our stay. Breakfast was only so-so. Orange juice dispenser was out, forks, and knives were out. Shower water did not drain well. We were charged more than what was quoted. The manager got defensive with us discussing the bill.
Brenda (6/5): - As long as you didn't look under the bed or in corners it was passable. Had to ask for clean replacement pillows when we arrived and additional towels so each of us would get one. It's clear that hiring adequate staff is a challenge. Nice enough facility, and pleasant staff, though. We passed up the breakfast as we like some fruit and/or juice and there was none there. Not the greatest stay but adequate for what we needed. Quiet.
wilsonlO9400DA (2/5): MY Daughter got LOCKED inside their lobby restroom!!! - My daughter got locked inside the hotel's restroom behind the lobby. When I complained the day after, the manager snapped and yelled at me and blamed my daughter for using the said bathroom instead of our rooms!!! The experience was like the horror-movie Alfred Hitchcok's Psycho (Norman Bates) but produced from Bollywood - not necessarily scary but bizarre, twisted and simply horrible; your nightmare begins when the front desk man or manager snaps because you made a legitimate complain. I was lured by what I thought was a great deal- nice location, big "family friendly" hotel, large rooms, free breakfast, gym and pool. If you live in Dickinson, this is a daily sight as the hotel is near the highway in the heart of the city. Like any horror movie, I initially felt good and thought I got a good deal. The first red flag came immediately when I arrived. There was nobody at the front desk and a young man was sitting on one of the couches across the desk. I waited for a couple of minutes and came this senior-looking foreign national and walked to the man seated and began dressing him down in front of me. Only after a minute or 2 did he turned towards me with a sour face and entertained me. Later that evening, my daughter decided to stroll within the hotel premises while I was already in bed. Then I got a bit worried she was taking some time and not returned yet. Then she contacted me by her cellphone and said she got trapped inside the hotel restroom because someone locked it from the outside without checking first if the cubicles were still occupied. The following day, I approached the same senior man in the front desk and asked if he was the manager- he said no but he stated he is in-charge. So I narrated to him the incident and he just gave me a unconcerned look and reply (in our language DINEDMA LANG NYA) stating that they just locked the restrooms regularly around that time. His casual tone and words ticked me off so I told him this is SERIOUS and my daughter could have been trapped the whole morning had she not brought her cellphone with her. He then snapped and yelled at me saying he also has the right to be angry because my daughter was walking in the lobby late that night and used the bathroom instead of our room's. His eyes even bulged out of its sockets ala Samuel Jackson when he gets angry in the movies. He yelled 2x and the second time he said I acted as if I owned the hotel. Wow- never in my whole lifetime have I checked in a hotel with such a rude manager. And whatever happened to the "family-friendly" description in their website??? Aside from the above here are the sub-standard practices in the hotel. (1) There are days the lady refilling the food in the breakfast buffet table is not wearing any gloves (2) My daughter who likes to stroll around the lobby noted that there were many times visitors were made to wait on the unattended front desk (3) They do not make-up the rooms daily; I checked with the cleaning lady and she said my room was never listed to be cleaned (4) On the day of my check-out, a cleaning lady knocked and said she was instructed to clean the room but this was still 9am and check out time was 11am (5) When I was lining up for check-out, the gentleman in front of me was complaining his room cleaned up while he was not around that day (early before check-out time) and that some things he put in a bag was missing and mostly thrown-away whereas he did not mark and set them aside as garbage. The cleaning lady assumed it was garbage, and he was wondering how would she know if she did not open the bag??? He said he felt his privacy was violated. In my previous experiences in hotels elsewhere, when there were "mistakes" or faulty amenities, the management quickly apologizes the very least or even compensate or upgrade my room. Based on previous reviews I have read back and connecting them to my actual experience, this hotel has faults left-and-right even on critical events like wedding receptions and when the guests complain, this man would snap back, yell, dis-engage the keycard or tell the guests to leave.
