Po zgłoszeniu problemu dostaliśmy odpowiedź, że możemy poczekać do rana, rano powinna być ciepła woda (chociaż nie mieli pewności). Musieliśmy się kąpać w zimnej wodzie. - Saldua (10/5): - Location...location..Staff were frienfly and accomodating. They speak English. Owner is kind and understanding. Allowed us to stay beyond check out time (no extra fee). Our flight back to the US was not until 7:30pm. Check out time was supposed to be 11am. The Mercado, grocery store (Dia) and pharmacy were few minutes walk from the hotel. Stayed here before the cruise to Patagonia. Stayed for a couple of nights after the cruise. Place is safe. A small park is right across it. Plenty of vendors selling variety of things. Highly recommended for visitors to stay.

- Jan (8/5): Für uns war es der perfekte Ort um Buenos Aires zu erkunden. - Die Lage ist unschlagbar! Man ist im Herzen von San Telmo und hat unzählige Restaurants und Bars direkt vor der Haustür. Ausserdem kann man täglich Tango Vorführungen sehen am Plaza Dorrego der gegenüber des Hotels ist. Es ist sauber und die Angestellten haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert. Besonders erwähnenswert ist auch die Matratze vom Bett, hatte beim Zustand der Einrichtung schon befürchtet, dass sie sehr alt und durchgelegen ist, aber sie war sehr bequem und wir haben gut geschlafen. Wie schon von einigen erwähnt, das Frühstück ist sehr einfach und wäre auf jeden Fall ausbaufähig. Die Zimmer wären auf jeden Fall renovierungsbedürftig. Bzw. Es ist eigentlich nur das Zimmer mit Balkon mit Sicht zum Plaza Dorrego annehmbar, die anderen Zimmer sind klein und dunkel. Wir wären auf unserem Rückweg im Februar wieder gekommen, wenn dieses Zimmer freigewesen wäre.

- Marco (9/5): Dit hotel zal ik zeker boeken ivm de schitterende ligging. - De lokatie is een ontzettende pluspunt van dit hotel. Als je naar buiten gaat, loop je gelijk het Dorrego plein (waar volgens mij markt is) op. Het is gelegen aan de straat Defensa en dat wordt z'on beetje gezien als de mooiste straat in Buenos Aires. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en gezellig. De hotelkamer ziet er netjes uit. Kortom volgend jaar wil ik weer hier naartoe. De hotelkamer is niet erg praktisch beneden heb je de douche en dan moet je met de trap naar boven naar de slaapkamer. Verder vind ik het ontbijt een beetje sober.

- Andrea (6/5): Vorrei ma non posso - L’accoglienza è stata buona, personale molto gentile, colazione molto buona, posizione eccezionale nel quartiere di San Telmo Struttura decadente, consumata, con arredi molto molto sporchi al limite dell’indecenza come ad esempio il divano, il puff. Bagno scomodo, lavandino ridicolo. Si è incastrati tra 2 edifici e la vista è terribile. L’illuminazione è scadente. Insomma non è assolutamente un boutique hotel

- Orange (7/5): Está bien y podría ser mejor con muy pocos detalles - La ubicación y la vista con sol desde la azotea. El desayuno es bien básico, para mí estuvo bien, el café es rico, aunque pienso que hay demasiada economía, servilletas recortadas de rollos de papel tissu por ejemplo, ¿por qué no comprar servilletas descartables que no son caras para el cliente?, jugo en envases de tetrapack descartables, eso fue lo peor. Los muchachos de la recepción, que también realizan el aseo de las habitaciones, se desviven por brindar la mejor atención y están atentos a los requerimientos y necesidades de quien se aloja, cuidan mucho su trabajo, lo cual me parece excelente y eso se nota. Me recuerda a una casa con economía extrema. Si bien las toallas y sábanas estaban limpias, no cambiaron ninguno de los tres días las toallas usadas sucias dejadas en el piso. No sé si eso hace una buena relación precio/calidad. Atención a los dueños. La economía casi de guerra en un hotel y que uno de los conserjes tuvo que ir a prender el termotanque que estaba apagado, como a veces sucedía, según me dijeron, cuando me quise dar una ducha caliente y el agua salió helada. Hacía mucho frío y el pobre muchacho estuvo largo rato tratando de prenderlo. Al final no pude darme esa ducha en ese momento. Después salió bien el agua. Que se me cerró la puerta del baño por un sistema de cierre extraño que tiene a las 4 de la mañana y tuve que pedirle auxilio a otro conserje estando yo en pijamas. - Sonja (2/5): Unpleasant! - Good neighbourhood This was not a good experience. When we arrived, they made us pay much more than the price that was on booking two days before when I booked the room. They claimed this was because of the exchange rate, but I find it hard to believe that the price would fluctuate with 15 USD in one day. Secondly, I had specifically booked a room with two beds, but the hotel staff claimed they had not received that information. They rudely informed me that there were rooms available with two beds, but that they would charge us even more to change (absurd, considering that we were seemingly the only guests at the hotel). The shower leaked water all over the floor. But the absolutely worst thing was the temperature of the room: we put the AC at the highest possible temperature, and put several layers of clothing on, but were not able to sleep because of the awfully cold temperature. The windows completely lack isolation. The room was also extremely loud because of this. I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone.

- Katherine (10/5): A lovely place to stay in the heart of a beautiful neighborhood. - The location was incredible with a balcony overlooking Plaza Dorrego where you can listen to the tango shows through your open window. During the day you can also enjoy the hustle and bustle of the plaza market. The room was very spacious with two floors and the front desk receptionist kindly watched my belongings while I explored the city on my last day. Just be mindful that if you book for the exceptional balcony view overlooking the plaza (worth it!) that you will likely also hear groups of young adults in the plaza until 3 or 4 in the morning. But if you're doing Buenos Aires the right way, you'll be awake anyway! Also, the black-out shutters on the balcony don't stay closed and are mostly for show.

The plaza was great, wonderful markets and easy to get to other areas The hotel and the staff were completely unacceptable! We arrived for check in late due to our flights. When we arrived the desk clerk was smoking (in a no smoking environment), which al Let made me walk out right then. The smell was so strong I could smell it on my clothes just from checking in! They didn’t ask for a credit card but I had given it when I booked so I didn’t think much of it. We left for an excursion early the next k morning and when we returned we were locked out of our room! They told us we couldn’t get in our room or get our belongings because we didn’t pay!!! I showed them my book I g confirmation showing I was going to be charged 50% at booking and the rest st check out. They just kept arguing with me. I had to agree to pay a night right then even though I should have been charged through booking. Plus I had to pay an extra fee. Keep in mind they never contacted me that day or tried to resolve the payment issue before this. They were rude, unhelpful and the how was not worth the cost!ugh better hotels for much less in the same plaza!

- Jennifer (8/5): Amazing location for markets, food and tango - The location can't be beat and my room was comfy and fun, being on two levels. Pay in cash to get a better local rate (the blue dot rate favors the dollar). They could do with some bigger towels and new bedclothes.
- Juan (8/5): Great location with good value for your money - Location is great. In the heart of San Telmo. Very handy to go to Airport Ezeiza as well. Bed was confortable and room was big. When we arrived there was a problem with the bathroom. Smelled really bad. They sorted out quickly though. Bedroom’s window was just in front of plazoleta Dorrego and it was super noisy, till 5 am. People drunk, smoking and shouting. AVOID A ROOM at front of building.

The service was however very good and very friendly. I got used to the very narrow space. The price was good.

- John (5/5): Passable - Bed was semi confortable. Staff seemed. Attentive. There was hot water. Air conditioning. Location was ok for places that accepted dollar blue rate. The breakfast consiisted of a tiny bit of stale museli, tea/coffee, some pastries and a fruit Juice in a packet. No fruit. Frankly why bother or was it the thought that counts. Unfortunately the hotel is located on top of a restaurant and I was kept up until 2 - 3am in the morning. Due to the noise. The neighbourhood is not safe at night but I didn't have any issues. For the money and the things mentioned I would advise anyone to seek another hotel.

- Katherine (6/5): Worth it for the location - Absolutely perfect location right on Plaza Dorrego; couldn't be better placed. The staff were very helpful with extra requests. Hot shower and good aircon. Nice to have breakfast provided. Our room was unfortunately really small - not enough space to keep even one suitcase on the floor and still walk around, let alone both of them at the same time. It was also windowless, and right next to the reception/breakfast area, so we were aware of any and all movement and conversation in the communal area. The breakfast provided was not amazing.
