Guest Reviews
- Jesper (2/5): - No internet, unfriendly service in the morning. No soundproof rooms and really horrible beds.
- Matt (6/5): - Motorway hotel. Was just for a budget stopover en route further east. Fine for that but not anything stands out
Begrænsede spisemuligheder men udmærket morgenmad.
- CSABA (8/5): - Quick checkin, good location
- Jie (4/5): - The lady at the reception was reluctant to explain the parking situation. It is next to a service station. There are many big trucks parked behind the hotel making noise early mornings.
- Henrietta (2/5): - Awful place, it’s a stop by for truck drivers
Rooms are dirty and linen had hairs everywhere
There was a strong smell of cigarette and curtains had cigarette holes. My family only stayed for a night and we woke up with gnat bits and dust triggered my cousin’s hayfever.
Not much option for breakfast and coffee machine was broken, cereal containers appears to have been there for months or years. Wouldn’t recommend this place and will never stay there again.
- Ernest (4/5): - A very poor breakfast not worth even €5. No brown bread in the breakfast
I booked for three nights but left the hotel the second day for a better place. My brother Mr Opoku did the same thing.
We paid for three nights with breakfast but stayed for two nights only. Money lost for nothing
- Ernest (4/5): - The breakfast is not worth €5
I brought 12 people to the hotel and they were all disappointed with the breakfast service. I booked for 3 nights with breakfast my brother did the same but we the second day and never returned. Money lost
- Opoku (4/5): - Everything in this hotel is poor
- Jaime (8/5): - x
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Engelsktalande person i reception, mycket bra.
- Leif Kaagaard (10/5): - Alt for varmt på værelset
- Mariëlle (8/5): - Prijs kwaliteit verhouding juist. Schoon.
- Wendy (8/5): Excellent with one observation - Excellent stop-over with easy access on and off the motorway. Excellent service by friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast. General cleanliness was very good except that someone needs to use a crevice tool on the vacuum cleaner to remove the dust accumulation around the skirting boards and around the bed base etc.
- Graham (8/5): - This hotel is good for a one night stay by the motorway on the Belgium / German border. It serves this purpose very well. The hotel is basic, but is clean and remarkably comfortable. There is no real dining options available in the location, so bring food with you in your car.
- ahmet (2/5): - Its was very dirty and smell not good
Our room was not done when we come there lime
00:30 they clean/make the the room ready. They forget they say
- Onder (8/5): - Helpful and smiling staff. Thanks them all.
Hotel is actually in a motorway service point. So, very convenient if you will carry on your journey in the morning on or near this route.
It’s near standard Ibis Budget hotel quality (which we used for many years happily and we will continue to use). However this time room had lack of cleaning.
If anyone reads from management, please have some deep cleaning and change broken or damaged (uncleanable spots, cigarette spots etc) sheets with new ones.
Overall we slept well and had our nice breakfast (coffee was good) and carried on our way. Thanks again to Ibis for value of accommodation.
- Dirk (6/5): - Economy hotel with great breakfast but odd rooms. The shower & sink are in the room, only the toilet has a door.
- Lyall (10/5): Good hotel for the money - Have stayed here a few times and the hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet.
It’s not the fanciest hotel, but, it’s well priced and fine for an overnight stay
- Biz (6/5): 2nd visit in 8 months, no improvement - One particular staff was rude early morning. He was agitated when i asked for help. Very limited breakfast option, run out if slice bread, orange juice. Even bread, we had to inform staff, that run out. Room was cold, heating didnt work.
- Katherine (6/5): Basic enroute stopover - Basic enroute stopover for 1 night. Right next to motorway. Parking directly outside. Right next to fuelstatipn with small shop, nothing else walkable.
Breakfast adequate.
- Derek (10/5): - Perfect for a one night stay. Free parking was nice and breakfast is OK. Receptionist was nice at check in. Rooms are smaller but they are adequate.
- Jessica (6/5): - Staff was extremely accommodating. Location was quite noisy.
- Alan (10/5): Clean and comfortable - The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and he processed my check in very efficiently.
Room is normal ibis style small but suitable for one or two night stay.
I did not have breakfast this stay but I know it is a generous buffet.
The petrol station shop is well stocked for basic food if needed.
Overall a very good stop.
- I (8/5): - Service very friendly and helpful. The room is small but clean.
- Jos (4/5): - Everything was very low budget, the beds ware very bad i feld like i was sleeping on a hard wooden door
- Biz (8/5): Biz Ghoorun - It was excellent for the price. Only thing that i think I didnt like is Flies around. Get rid of the flies. Not impossible to do so
- Louise (8/5): - Its somewhere to lay your head after a long drive. Excellent welcome and provided us with local information for food. Room was basic but all that we needed for the night. Lots of parking available.
- Katalin (2/5): - Was perfect for us to stop by the motorway, however the receptionist was really helpful in the evening but Kevin in the morning really unhelpful. I was queuing up for asking a question regarding to see something in Aachen but he didn’t even acknowledged me. He was simply rude to us! Disappointed in his attitude
- Michael (8/5): Great place for a night - A no-frills hotel that is right on the highway through your journey. The staff was nice. First room we stayed in had cigarette smell which the staff was also not happy with. They gave us another room and it was fine. Nothing special, but a comfortable place for a night.
- luis (10/5): Great front desk person and service - The gentleman from Togo. Theodore was great very friendly and professional! Everything went well!!
- Susanne (8/5): - Friendly staff and easy access from motorway
- Peter (6/5): Reasonably priced hotel with good access - + easy access directly from the highway with ample parking, very nice personell (especially the lady on our arrival), good price
- it is a pitty the hotel could not be renovated yet (due to corona) as it is quite outdated and offers only double rooms with bunk beds which are really uncomfortable to sleep, situated on a parking area with trucks does not help as the trucks make noise all the night, the worst thing is the window which cannot be normally opened and the room is terribly hot and the air very bad in the summer (a small and partially broken fan cannot help too much)
- Oliver (8/5): You pay for what you get - We just needed a bed for the night on our long drive to Germany. It ticked all the boxes for what we needed.
- Richard (4/5): Yuk - The lady on duty in the morning and who helped us with breakfast was lovely.
We didn't complain about anything as we were just stopping overnight to break a journey and were in quite a rush, but there we issues. The room absolutely stank (like a teenage boy's bedroom), there was thick dust in between the bars on the bed, there were black dog hair's on the sheets, stains under the toilet seat, the soap dispenser in the shower didn't work, and the shower went from freezing cold to scalding hot every few seconds with no warning and irrespective of what you did with the tap. Breakfast (pre-prepared trays) was a welcome addition, as we were in a rush we took some to eat in few car, and later pulled a 30cm hair from a croissant which had been baked in.
For £60 the night was fairly unpleasant and not good value.
- Kevin (6/5): Overnight truck stop - It’s a hotel in the middle of a service station, lorries coming and going all night, it is what it is. Somewhere to get your head down on a long journey.
- Laszlo (8/5): Good stay, for a ransit stop - It was reallyhot and the Aircondition iwas really missing
- Karolis (6/5): - Good place for business trip
- Victoria (8/5): Stop off whilst travelling Belgium - Ideal for a quick stop off whilst travelling. Clean and comfy
- Katherine (10/5): Comfortable, Cheap, and Convenient - Booked last minute after going to Aachen Chris market. Just needed a bed to sleep in and beds were comfortable and staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was available for a charge but we opted to get something at the rest stop cafe. (Hotel is located at a rest stop but felt safe and wasn’t too noisy). For the price, would stay here again. Approximately 15 mins fro Aachen city center.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very basic good value for money. Difficult to reach because it was on the other side of the expressway, but overall ok
- Gabriel (8/5): - Overall clean and great value for money. Food was good, breakfast not included, but you can buy it on the spot, not too expensive.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I’m disappointed with this hotel. I waited for one hour to lobby for check in and after I got into the room I wanted to leave right away.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This hotel is located at a truck parking and refueling area. No A/C so window opens slightly (only tilt-in, window locked for swing open). Very loud starting at 05:30 (AM) with people, trucks, horns, etc.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location when you travel just off the motorway.
- Jock (10/5): - Handy for quick access to motorway and nicely placed after a days drive from the UK
- John (10/5): - Easily accessible from both sides of the motorway. Quick check in, good spot
- NEIL (8/5): Always clean and tidy - Stayed here before many times always clean tidy polite staff and a good location for my reqirements
- NEIL (8/5): Usefull Location - Stayed here before many times usefull location for what we need good staff clean and tidy reasonable breakfast always a good price
- Abbie (6/5): Not sure I would stay again - Hotel was okay staff were nice. But when you get into the room at midnight and set the bed up and you have no pillow but no energy to go and get one. Bed was comfy but with the sound of the cars and lorrys going past you don't get much sleep. It's okay for 1 night and if you don't want much sleep.
- Mark (10/5): Good value and convenient - Good value. Good staff
- Diane (10/5): Good value and convenient - All good. And very convenient for a late arrival
Excellent staff
- Deepak (8/5): - Okay for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice hotel, clean, near the road, we were very satisfie
- Nigel (8/5): Easy cheap road trip stop - We were going to the Nuremberg Christmas Market and stayed here to break the journey from UK. A little tricky to find but its actually in the motorway rest area so cone off there and its the last building before you exit back on to the motorway. Free parking. We didn't pay for the Ibis breakfast and instead had the one offered by the cafe in the services (cheaper and served hot food). Bunk bed room over a double was fine for my wife and I plus 6yr old son.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value - Great value convenient for the motorway and excellent staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel located next to E40 - Good location if you need a break from driving. Taking into account that this hotel is not very expensive, it makes it an excellent option. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are... wel... small - but not claustrophobic. I would not recommend it for a 2 weeks family holiday, but if all you need is a good night sleep, it does the job.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Easy to find. - Good budget hotel, close to the motorway, good breakfast, plenty of choice buffet style. Rooms are clean, beds are a bit uncomfortable, quiet at night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Radiator inadequate to heat up room; could not stay in hotel.
- Ursula (6/5): - Sorry but we sat in the dark for an hour as the electricity went off.Nothing was mentionest the next mornig at checkout?.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Motorway stop off near Aachen - The address was hard to find on our satnav.
The room was overlooking the lorry park of the motorway services and we had lorries passing by all night but to be fair the double glazing was quite effective.
The room was expensive for what it was.
- Mark (8/5): Great value - Great value and convenient for the motorway
- Deborah (10/5): Excellent place to stay overnight. - Excellent service, spotlessly clean room - just what I needed
- Verified traveler (8/5): CONVENIENT AND CLEAN NICE STAFF AND HELPFULL - Have used this hotel on a number of times great location on E40 as a stop over on long journey
- Andrew K (6/5): - the room was advertised with air conditioning , but there was no air conditioning throughout the hotel which made it very uncomptable as the temperature was 34 degrees in the day and mid to high 20s through the night and the windows only open a little bit , we had to go out and buy a fan
- AP (10/5): Friendly welcome - We had used the hotel before as a cheap stopover on a long journey across Europe. We were expecting the same - a decent, clean room perfectly acceptable for one evening and that's what we got. The big bonus is the friendly staff, can't do enough for you - both on check in and at breakfast. Breakfast is well worth the price.
- Klaus (10/5): Nice hotel at the border of Germany-Belgium - We were driving towards Paris from Bremen, Germany. This is the perfect place to stay for a rest, comfortable and cheap, clean hotel and friendly staff.
- Carolina (10/5): Comfortable and cheap hotel - We were on our way from Germany to France and this hotel is perfectly located on the Autobahn, ideal place to stop for a good nice rest. The gas station and restaurant are conveniently located nearby. There were lots of parking possibilities.
- Carlos (10/5): Nice and clean hotel - Great staff, nice and clean rooms, quite, great location at the highway (autobahn)
- Sean (4/5): Substandard breakfast even for that rating - Breakfast did not contain anything but bread and little packaged jam and a single variety of cheese and porky ham. A few slices of tomatoes and cucumbers would have been nice for somebody going vegetarian like myself.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average motel on highway gas station - It was an average highway motel in gas station which is tolarable for one night if you are driving and need rest.
Not far from Aachen and Maastrichet.
The front desk person Mr. Kevein was helpfull and friendly.
- Andrew (6/5): - The hotel is part of a motorway services so the surrounding area is, well, a motorway. That said, the services have a great restaurant and well stocked 24 hour garage shop if you need anything. The hotel is a budget hotel, the rooms are clean but not luxuriously furnsihed, as you would expect. The service was great, very warm welcome from the team. If all you need is a cheap bed for the night, this place is absolutely fine, and for the money, great!
- Ivan (8/5): As expected for a budget hotel - Cheap hotel at a motorway service station. All facilities as expected for food and drink. Busy location in terms of transport. The wifi didn't work, but I've come to expect this at most budget continental hotels anyway. Would stay here again next year due to the cost being reasonable.
- ShuLing (8/5): Good choice for a budget stay , clean room ! - Good price for a stayover , small but clean room!
- Ivan (8/5): Solo getaway - So, this is one of those hotels that you get what you paid for... I don't say this on a bad way, what I mean by that is: I knew what I paid, therefore I know what to expect. Then again, it exceed my expectations from the get go! Upon arrival was received with a very friendly guy, who assisted me with the check in process. Which you the way was very smooth! He provided me with the WI-FI password and off I went to my room. As I opened the door saw a double bed and a single right above it. Bed was comfortable and excellent for my taste. I read a few reviews about breakfast, so I decided to skip it and pay a visit to the huge gas station next door. For my surprise, they had excellent choices of breakfast and cheaper from what I heard! Overall this is a good place to spend a night or a few as I did. Definitely will come back and recommend to anyone!
- Michael (10/5): Great Location. Friendly and clean. Excellent! - Much MUCH better than the Ibis Budget standard just over the border in Germany. Friendly 24hr reception staff, basic comfortable/clean rooms. Perfect location.
- christine (6/5): ibis - after been stuck in traffic jams for hours it was good to find the hotel easily, disappointing adjoining resturant closed as it was so late, but room service pizza was exeptable, healthy buffett breakfast was nothing special
- Monika (10/5): Short stay for holiday. - Very close to the town.Nice & perfect hotel service.Very clean room.General recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overnight stop - A welcome stop for an overnight rest during an arduous journey
- Verified traveler (8/5): Value for money - For the money I cannot complain, very friendly, helpful staff. the room layout is great for me and my 2 kids. Its not the Hilton but then I did not expect it to be for what I paid. Recommended if your wathcing the euros / cents
