• Sara (10/5): Inesquecível! - A Quinta Nova foi, sem dúvida, o lugar perfeito para um fim de semana no Douro. A paisagem e a tranquilidade são simplesmente inacreditáveis e difíceis de descrever. A Quinta apresenta um estilo tradicional e muito requintado que, sem comprometer o charme, integra perfeitamente todas as comodidades modernas, garantindo um elevado nível de conforto. Aliado a isso, todo o serviço foi irrepreensível. O staff, desde o restaurante, à receção, aos serviços de apoio à piscina e aos quartos, foi sempre extremamente atencioso e simpático. Um agradecimento especial ao Tiago, que respondeu a todas as nossas questões, antes e durante a estadia, com enorme cuidado e disponibilidade. O pequeno-almoço é excelente, com grande variedade e qualidade, e recomendo também o jantar no restaurante, com um ambiente acolhedor, ótimos vinhos, excelente oferta gastronómica e atendimento. Reservámos ainda um picnic, que fizemos no miradouro da Quinta, e que se revelou uma das experiências mais memoráveis da estadia. A visita à adega e ao museu acrescentou uma vertente cultural muito interessante a uma estadia extremamente relaxante. Foi um fim de semana inesquecível e ficámos com muita vontade de regressar em breve. Tudo perfeito! Nada a apontar!

• Lorie (10/5): Not To Be Missed - We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta Nova. What stayed with me most was the stillness and sense of peace that seems to live naturally in the Douro Valley. Sitting on the terrace with the vineyards unfolding below us felt like stepping outside of time. Our room was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared, with robes, slippers, straw hats for walking the property, and even a blanket to wrap up in outside. The food throughout our stay was exceptional, and the breakfasts in particular were memorable. We especially enjoyed the winery tour. Marta explained that the elegant curved fermentation tanks were designed to mirror the shape of the vineyard terraces as seen from the river below—an extraordinary detail that perfectly connects the building to the landscape. Most importantly, the service was outstanding. We would especially like to thank Victor and Rafael for their warmth and kindness. Victor even brought us a traditional pumpkin-filled sweet for the road when we departed, a gesture we will not forget. Quinta Nova was one of the highlights of our time in Portugal, and a place we would return to without hesitation. I can’t think of one thing

Beyond the breathtaking, indescribable views, the service and comfort were exceptional. I must highlight the attentiveness of the entire staff, as well as the superb dining and breakfast experiences. It is, without a doubt, a place we want to return to — the perfect spot to recharge and reconnect.

• Dana (10/5): A fabulous place to visit - My husband and I had a lovely stay at Quinta Nova in September. We enjoyed everything that they had to offer. The property is fabulous and offers amazing views. Our room was comfy with a beautiful bathroom and loved the access to the outdoor terrace. The pool was also great! And we loved the patio. A great place to relax on their very comfortable lounge beds and enjoy the spectacular view. Our dinner at Terracu’s was INCREDIBLE and we enjoyed delicious wines with our meal. Our breakfast was also amazing. They have an excellent buffet and offer additional menu items that are prepared in the kitchen. By surprise, We were invited by the winemaker to stomp grapes. It was such a great experience and we had a blast dancing around to traditional Portuguese music. What really makes Quinta Nova a great property to visit is mainly because of their superior Staff! They were all very caring, attentive and wonderful people who took such great care of us. Looking forward to seeing them again next year!

A casa e os espaços são muito acolhedores, bem decorados e de bom gosto. O pessoal é amável e sempre disponível. Restaurante excelente, vinhos requintados e ambiente cosy. Um percurso pedonal de quase 5km pelas vinhas da Quinta permite familiarização com as plantações em socalcos e vistas deslumbrantes do Vale do Douro. Experiência muito relaxante e agradável. Cama de 140cm no quarto com varanda é demasiado pequena para o standard do hotel

• Maria (10/5): Beautiful place, lovely staff and amazing food - Absolutely everything was a 10/10. We were welcomed so kindly from the beginning - had a welcome drink with the most gorgeous autumn views over the Douro while the room was prepared. The room was beautiful, spacious and so comfortable, we wish we would’ve stayed for longer! To top it all off, we had the tasting menu for our evening meal and loved all the variations on Portuguese classics, incredible food in a gorgeous setting. And the breakfast was also perfection - a mix of buffet options with a varied menu of cooked dishes. Would absolutely return in the summer to enjoy the terraces and the pool and can recommend to anyone visiting the Douro. Loved everything!

Todo o espaço é acolhedor, com uma decoração tradicional mas requintada, bem pensada para o espaço, algo que me agradou muito. O staff é bastante atencioso e prestável, sempre prontos para ajudar ou esclarecer algum dúvida, o que contribuiu positivamente para a experiência. Também adorámos o jantar e o pequeno almoço, com bastante variedade! Aconselho a marcar uma visita à Adega e ao Museu, assim como uma prova de vinhos. Tudo 10/10, com certeza voltaremos!

It is fine dining style food which isn’t our preferred choice. I also felt that overall it was quite an expensive room/stay for what it was.

The rooms were not extravagant but very nice, and the onsite restaurant for breakfast and dinner was good and fairly reasonable. I traveled with public transport and I sent numerous messages on booking.com and 2 or 3 whatsapp numbers asking how to get there and replied only canned messages but not useful to me. Looking up Google, it popped up another Quinta Nova that was somewhere else. I didn't want to lose my money for not being able to show up because I couldn't find out how to get there. Eventually, I sent a message to booking.com customer service asking for a free cancellation as I couldn't get a reply and it was a lot of money for 2 nights. Then they finally replied. 2. For 2 nights of my stay, I was always addressed as"hello" or"madam". To other guests, they addressed them by"Mr ~name~".. I didn't feel good about it. 3. Upon check out, they were trying to charge me again for 2 nights. Luckily I could show the payment record and my bank record. Sometimes I could forget if it was booked a while ago. They said it was a system error, etc. To a guest, I don't know what happened. But I know I don't have extra money to waste. Overall, this place lacks proper hospitality training when they identify themselves as a luxury hotel.

Ottima progettazione degli spazi e vista splendida Non tutte il personale è all’altezza. Un turno al ristorante e alla colazione (12 agosto) vede due camerieri impeccabili, l’altro (11 agosto) un disastro. Visto il livello il personale deve essere adeguato. Da tenere in conto la posizione che prevede 35 minuti di curve in strade strette e esposte per raggiungere il paese più vicino. Di fatto si è obbligati a cenare in hotel. La notte la strada è pericolosa

• Jacco L (10/5): Heerlijk relaxen met topcomfort en fijne wijnen - De fijne ontvangst, alles is goed geregeld. Lekkere port op de kamer, een welkomst glas rosé van hun eigen wijngoed uit Dao. Kamers top, heerlijke bedden en fijne douche. Je voelt je hier meteen thuis. Ook een wijnproeverij gedaan. Helemaal niets.

• francisco (10/5): visita a recordar, e a aconselhar. - pequeno almoço muito bom, com variedade e a atenção dos empregados para que nada faltasse. do conjunto edificado, bem integrado na paisagem e bem cuidado. as áreas exteriores também muito cuidadas.
• Josefina (10/5): Experiência fantástica e regeneradora! - Excelente pequeno almoço, com grande variedade e excelente qualidade dos produtos. A limpeza é primorosa, quer no quarto quer nos espaços públicos. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e atenciosos. áreas externas, esplanadas, bares, alpendres, jardins de grande conforto e beleza. Núcleo museológico muito interessante. Adega onde se mistura o mais moderno com a história.

• Cristina (8/5): - Bom pequeno almoço mas quando se pedia algo que não estava na sala, demorava bastante O referido acima e, na prova de vinhos que efectuamos, os vinhos estavam quentes. De tal maneira que, após ser chamada a atenção para isso, abriram novas garrafas, Não pode acontecer numa prova de vinhos servir vinhos a temperaturas elevadas, ainda para mais num fds de altas temperaturas

The views were inspiring and the food and wine were delicious The pricing is a bit high, otherwise we would have stayed longer. Would still recommend it, though. The hospitality could have been more timely and attentive in the restaurant and poolside service.

• Michael (10/5): - Quinta Nova is a beautiful Quinta in spectacular surroundings. It is very comfortable and the service is impeccable - probably the best welcome of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The restaurant was also excellent - with enough choice for 3 fabulous meals even though the menu didn’t change during our 3 night stay. The walking trail around the vineyards is superb and a real highlight of our stay.
