• Samir (9/5): Very comfortable - I needed in an iron in my room - not provided. No response to the hall bell so had to do without. Small point and the only negative to a very enjoyable and hospitable stay.
• Laura (9/5): - Perfect location and lovely, welcoming hosts. We stayed in the Thistle Room which was very large and well kitted out and had a smart TV. The bed was very comfortable and large. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and a lovely touch of homemade shortbread. The cooked breakfast was lovely too. The only downside was having a separate bathroom despite Booking.com saying the room was ensuite. However, the private bathroom for the room is directly opposite and accessed easily with a key.

There were so many thoughtful little touches that made our stay feel extra special; it’s clear that so much love and care goes into this beautiful B&B. We stayed in the Thistle Room, which was absolutely stunning — elegant, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail was just right. We already can’t wait to come back. • Maria (10/5): Stunning B&B in Crieff. - Chose this hotel as a one night stopover on our way up to our next destination and it was so lovely we wished we were staying another night. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming and breakfast was excellent. Our room was beautiful and we peeked into other vacant rooms which had their doors open and they were equally good. Would go back in a heartbeat.

• William (10/5): Consummate hosts with the best B&B in the area without a doubt - Property was amazing. Each room was beautifully decorated and with the most unique furniture and fittings. Lovely little touches like homemade shortbread and a ‘wee dram’ to wash it down. During our five night stay there was clean bedding and towels changed mid way through. The breakfasts were on point every morning. As a group of motorcyclists we were really catered for with a very large heated garage to safely lock the bikes at night and in the garage there were facilities for hanging our riding gear and charging up our helmet communications. Not a thing!

• Helen (10/5): Merlindale is fabulous, must be the best guest house in Crieff and can’t recommend highly enough. - It’s a lovely elegant period house with splendid spacious bedrooms, very clean and a great location. Most importantly Amanda and Geoff are friendly, attentive and catered for all our needs. Breakfast was superb. Wouldn’t think twice about staying here again. Nothing. It’s lovely.

• Michael (10/5): Best experience in 30 years staying at B&Bs in Scotland - After 30 years of holidays in Scotland, this was definitely the best experience we have ever had! The rooms were so tastefully and colourfully decorated, very very comfortable. As was the whole house. Spotlessly clean! The breakfast was made to order, perfect care was taken of the dietary needs of one of our group. Amanda and her husband are both perfect hosts, friendly, very welcoming and helpful! We would love to come back! The road in front of the building was a bit noisy in the morning.

• James (10/5): Merlindale provided the perfect stopover in Crieff. - We had a warm and friendly welcome, the room was spacious and immaculately presented and the breakfast was cooked exactly to our liking. It was a short, pleasant walk into the town, where we had dinner on the evening that we arrived. There was nothing not to like about our stay.

It would be hard to point out at the highlight - the room and the house were so cosy and comfortable, Helen and Paul were the loveliest hosts we've had and made us feel at home as soon as we stepped inside, and last but not least, the breakfast was delicious and had a large choice of homemade treats. Highly recommend! Absolutely nothing, everything was perfect.

• JIM (10/5): - It takes a lot for me to give a place a 5 as always think there is room for improvement. This place we found faultless. Clean fresh beautifully decorated with friendly hosts who gave us a warm welcome and explained all the parts of our stay. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was truly amazing. Full Scottish, home made granola and yoghurt. Service was excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We spoke to our hosts who took time to engage and chat with us. The house is an easy walk to the town centre and easy to find by car. I highly recommend this B&B if you're in Crieff or exploring the local area. Thank you Paul and Helen for a lovely stay and all the effort you put into those little personal touches like the wee dram of whiskey and home made shortbread. It makes all the difference.

The homemade yogurt was delicious and the main event cooked to perfection. Fantastic hospitality from Paul and Helen with lots of lovely touches. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and made our stay really enjoyable.

• Regina (10/5): Superb B&B, great hosts, can only be recommended - Wonderful, spacious and stylish room with comfy bed. Very nice view when sitting in the chairs in the evening with a glass of whisky (welcome gift from the hosts). Helen and Paul are amazing people and hosts. Their breakfast is sooo tasty, their service attitude fascinating. We would always stay there again. Thank you guys!
