- Richard (8/5): - Excellent for Hamra District.
Well located in a quieter area but close to Hamra. Currently Lebanon has issues, but a big thank you to the hotel for making a stay possible. Friendly staff and good facilities. Daily cleaning but the rooms are getting a little old now.
- sarhad Saad A (8/5): Good hotel - The recieption was respectful and friendly. Rooms
were clean. A bit small but nice. Near many small shops and markets.
- RAMI (8/5): Ok - Tutto perfetto
- Dina Ali (8/5): - The staff here is exceptional! I stayed here for a month and they became like family and really looked out for me. Totally Recommend.
- Nelly (4/5): -
Absolutely definitely disrespectful, lacking tact and manners, discourteous, vulgar customer service! Front office person so called NATHALIE yells across the hall which is over 100 feet distance away from us to question us which room we were staying in! How vulgar can a staff member be to scream across the hall? First to loudly address the guests, and second and most importantly to question them about their stay!!!
Respected hotels hire trained personnel whose job is to respectfully eloquently monitor who is coming in and who is leaving and most importantly to remember who checked in and who did not!
Our checkout was the worst; the same rude clerk (Nathalie) literally arrogantly, insolently told us we had to wait until she sends someone to check the room after us!
I most definitely put her back in her place and did indeed walk out on her! Personnel working in hospitality should be educated, picked and trained to be civil in their behaviour with guests! Unfortunately, this did not apply to Nathalie!
On the other hand, mildew and mold were all around the shower room. Since as they said “all available rooms were like that” I had to give instruction for the cleaning staff and wait for about 40 mn for him to finish! The walls were dirty as well, and I had to wait for that too.
I requested a non smoking room, all I breathed throughout the night is cigarettes smoke coming through the vents of he central AC! Their answer to that? We can’t say “no smoking” to guests!!!!
- Esmaeil (4/5): Motel not Hotel - Air conditions were off work_ cleanness awuful_ bathroom so bad water stand at the ground_ that is a host or motel but not a hotel with 4 stars
- George (2/5): - Hotel condition was poor, hotel description of rooms are inaccurate.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I had a great stay at WH. The staff was accommodating and able to help me with my issues promptly. The room was comfortable and clean when I returned from my daily activities.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Möbel waren alt. Teppich sehr unangenehm.
Service super.
- hisham (10/5): جيد - بصوره عامة جيده يوجد تراجع نسبي في النظافة بالنسبه للسنوات السابقة
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not vey satisfied - The hotel's location is good, breakfast is good but many tables empty and still dirty, staff are welcoming, bed and room average, I couldn't sleep well as there are no blackouts on the windows! The bathroom is the worst thing, old rusty and sewage smell was coming from time to time. I think everything comes for a price
- mohamed (8/5): - It's good breakfast
- Mohammed (8/5): Nice hotel - good location , fair service and good value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): A gem! - WH is in a fantastic area of Beirut. The staff is friendly and hospitable and the rooms are clean. It is in an older building, typical of the area, so it may not be to everyone's taste (it's a little rough around the edges with peeling paint and cracks) but for the price in that area you can't go wrong. Add valet parking and it sells itself. I've stayed here 3-4 times over the past 2 years, and it's been great every time.
- Taz (8/5): Overall recommended - For the most part, my friend and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel, which is less than a 5 minute walk to Al Hamra. Room was just enough for both of us: comfy beds, clean sheets, bathroom, working AC, great customer service and breakfast buffet was okay (can definitely be better). WiFi works fine if your just browsing and texting on whatsapp, but really sucked when sending pics and videos. Water bottles are only complimentary the first night, but there is a good convenience store literally one minute away from the hotel. Taxi fare from the airport to the hotel shouldn't exceed 25$. Aside from that, for the price and location I would recommend this hotel. Cheers!
- Rashid (4/5): 2016 Award for "Best 2 star property" - Decided to pay more and book the WH Hotel based on the photos and the '2015 Award'.
We struggled to find the hotel located in a back street. On reaching the hotel late at night neither the concierge nor the check in staff offered to assist with our luggage, and remained in their seats - in fact looked at us surprisingly as if to say "Who are you and why are you here?".
At the check-in, despite having provided all card details online at the time of booking the check in staff insisted on my card details again to be allowed to the room - the last thing i want to be doing at 2.00 am and after a long journey. Again, no concierge assistance to carry the luggage to the room.
Reaching the room i realized that not only the none of my requests had been considered but also the room was not the room i had booked. So at 3.00 am found myself back at the check in requesting a room change and was forced to accept the best of the alternatives presented.
Carpets leading to room were dirty with large spillage stains all over.
The room, clean, but was old and tired looking. The door had a big gap around it, so we we were unable to sleep from the constant noise of the hoovering in the corridor and the chatter or people/ staff.
Although booked for two persons, only 1 small bottle of water/ 1 tea bag was given. And when I asked for water, i was billed for it.
The bathroom was old and aged. The vanity unit chipped everywhere. The toilet seat fixed too high to use
- Salma (2/5): Worst service ever - One of the worst stay ever
I visited more than 20 country and this is one of the worst service ever
I came after check out timing due to traffic jam
I came 55 min late
When I arrived I found that my bags and all my clothes are taken out from the room
I was literally kicked out
Imagine that you checked in with your wife and kid and
I would never recommend this hotel at all
- Amr (8/5): good food and service - It was generally fine. The food was good and service was nice
- EMILIOS (8/5): Convenient and clean hotel - Perfect location, good service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mellan ( inte so bro - inte so dåligt) - Det var bro och treva men hotellet var inte att man rekna ut som 4 stars
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty carpets - I stayed three nights at this hotel. Even though it's kind of dumpy, it's walking distance to some nicer areas. The kitchen staff are nice and the cleaning ladies really efficient. But the hotel is old and run down, the carpets are stained. Free bottled water is provided in the room only when you arrive and they charge you after that.
- Verified traveler (10/5): very good services - The hotel is very well prepared,i prefer this hotel whenever comeback to town, room clean, well appointed and very comfortable bed, well stocked minibar, tv satellite with all bein channels and osn, the hotel is close to the shopping area in hamra and the pups street
- Ahmed (6/5): One of the options in Hamra district - Bathroom needs refurbishment especially the height of the toilet !
- Malek (8/5): Very Nice hotel - I'lol recommend this hotel to anybody wants to be at the heart of Beirut but at the same time in a very quiet location.
Nice hotel and friendly staff.
- Jack (6/5): Average to good - Upgraded to a junior suite on the 7th floor this hotel arranged airport transfers with little fuss and were prompt on requesting information.
The room wasn't great with stained carpets, a strong smell of damp, a window with broken seals so the road noise was quite loud. The bathroom was fine, the amenities not great.
For 100usd a night including tax I would expect better hardware, this hotel needs a refurb. The breakfast wasn't great with hard bread and stale croissants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great location and friendly staff
nice breakfast but the toilets are not very comfortable
- tara (8/5): A lovely stay! - Everything was wonderful at the WH overall. The bathroom showers are a bit old and difficult to maneuver, but the rooms are pretty spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious every morning and the staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect to getting to Al Hamra street, but just away from the noisy area.
- BASMAN (10/5): Feeling great - Excellen and easy accessable location
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel close to AUB/LAU - Our second time we have stayed at this excellent hotel. Very friendly staff, comfortable room, and close to both AUB and LAU in the heart if Hamra.
- R. Quick (8/5): In the Hamra area convenient to all sites and AUB. - Comfortable well priced hotel with polite, friendly and helpful staff. I've stayed at the WH a number of times and find it a pleasant stay each time. It's consistent in all areas. Note: on my last stay I found the Room Service Food unsatisfactory and was told that it was a private company doing the food for the hotel. My only suggestion is for guests to Not Order Room Service Food with so many good restaurants in the area.
