• Paul (10/5): Unique suite in Savannah - We stayed a long weekend in the Turner Loft Suite. The inn was built as a single family residence in 1895 it is beautiful, charming and has a beautiful garden. This suite is on the top floor, it is 41 steps to the top, just FYI. It is a nice apartment basically with laundry, full kitchen and living room. Its nice enough to live in honestly. The bed is very comfortable and the stained glass window is a nice touch. Free street parking, about a 5-10 minute drive to the tourist historic district, about a 10 minute walk to Forsyth Park. We loved our stay here, 10 out of 10! Also recommend Sly's Sliders and Fries located about 2 blocks away.

• Susan (10/5): - This is a lovely property, in a great location. It's beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and everything you could need has been provided. A gorgeous place, loved it and was sad to leave.
• Jacob (6/5): - To be clear, this is not a hotel. It's an Air b n b. There is no lobby, no check in desk, and no onsite staff. Pros: The owner was friendly,and was able to accommodate an early check in for me. The neighborhood was safe and quiet, with places like a good coffee shop withen walking distance. The linens seemed clean, and the AC was effective for the space. Also, bottled water in the fridge was nice. The garden courtyard had a nice "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" vibe. Cons: As this is an old space, it comes with almost no amenities, and old fixtures. The shower had the water pressure of a squirt gun. The showerhead was calcified and shot in all directions but straight. If you would like more than 3 square inches of your body under the hot water at a time, you might be out of luck. There is no housekeeping for stays under 4 days, so you may have to clean after yourself more than you would in a hotel. The electronic lock was broken on the door, so I was given an old fashioned key, which isnt the most secure. All in all, the Galloway House was clean, quiet, and comfortable but those looking for a hotel experiance might be disappointed. If you dont mind renting a room in someones house, than you will most likely enjoy your stay quite a bit.
• Patrick Brian (10/5): - The Galloway Inn was lovely. Clean and spacious lodging, that gave us the feeling of being a Savannah resident. We had a fully equipped apartment in the coach house upper level . It was easy to access by walking through a beautiful garden . The area is quiet but within walking distance to some very good restaurants. We had our own transportation, but buses appear to run on a regular schedule . We never personally met the owners, but they were very responsive to our texts when we had a request .

Great coffee shop and restaurants within walking distance. Loved being in the quiet part of Savannah but so close to get into downtown. Owners were great to visit with too.

Beautiful parks and plenty of restaurants and things to do. Jim and Keith are awesome hosts and helped to make our stay memorable. Would absolutely recommend this inn. We will be back

• Sandra (10/5): LGBTQ+ Welcoming and Beautiful - Having never been to this Inn and having no personal recommendations, we booked it based on the pictures and reviews and being LGBTQ+ friendly. We were not disappointed- at all. The house and property are gorgeous. Jim was so easy to work with and very helpful. This place did not disappoint. We loved being within walking distance of the coffee house and restaurants. Also, where this is located it is much quieter than being further into the city. The diversity of the neighborhood is a plus too. It was really nice being able to walk around in this area holding hands openly and just being who we are without experiencing any problems and feeling quite safe.

• Adrian (10/5): Ideal location for a visit to Savannah. - Self contained self-catering apartment in the loft of a lovely old Savannah house. Ideally situated for a visit to Savannah, with a decent range of restaurants within a very short walk. Advice from owner was appreciated. Steep staircase to loft may not be ideal for some people but no problem for us. Altogether, a great place to stay in a lovely city.

We were in a suite called the Renwick that was detached and up a flight of steps in the back of the property. It was inconvenient up and down and the alley access was unattractive. Heat is provided by multiple space heaters...mix and match, barely, got the job done. Neighborhood is mostly typical college rentals with excellent, fun restaurants. Overall a short, 2 night, 'B' stay.

• bradley (6/5): Observation for future renters - There were several things that I want to point out that we’re not small but should have been in an Airbnb or for the price that we paid number one is the Internet kept cutting out very poor and I couldn’t do my work in the time that I had to do it the second thing is there’s no TV in the master bedroom third thing is the sofa in the main room is too small it’s uncomfortable and the shower was very uncomfortable being small and the shower shot out the front of the shower and the only thing stopping the water with the curtain one of the uncomfortable things was that there were too many cameras aimed right at entrances and in the windows and on the front porch there were cameras but not only were on the entrance but on the area where everybody sat

• Mary Ellen (10/5): We Went Back for a Second Time. - There just isn't a better place to stay in Savannah if you're looking for comfort, quiet, convenience, elegance, and room to stretch out! It is a five minute drive to the historic district but that's easy and the parking here is free. Staying here feels like being in a friend's home. We went for a girlfriend's birthday weekend and we are of an age where everyone prefers their own bedroom and bathroom, which we all had. The birthday girl and I stayed in the Remington Suite on the first floor which has a dining room, sunporch, and living room more than big enough to accommodate all four of us; as well as a full kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The other two of our group stayed in the Renwick and Caroline suites which also have kitchens and living rooms. The Remington Suite is light, bright and airy with all the accessories anyone could want; the furnishings are beautiful and carefully curated. In all the suites, the beds, and linens are wonderful, the pillows are comfortable, and the towels are exceptional. There were mints on our bedside tables, fresh flowers in the bedrooms, oodles of bottles of water in the fridge and coffee to grind for breakfast with sugars and creamers. There are many restaurants in the area, cute shops and the Inn has a beautiful back garden, and wide front veranda for people watching. Really, you can't ask for a better experience!

The Galloway house is centrally located in the middle of the city and in walking distance to many places. We had a dog with us and she was more than comfortable as well. • Verified traveler (4/5): Ask for current pictures before booking - We arrived to a house under major renovations and were not made aware. If we had known this, we would have booked ourselves at another location. The neighborhood was not safe for walking as we initially found out and as all of our Uber drivers warmed us of. Back alley parking was unkempt and filthy.

Entry through back gate Welcome bottle of red wine nice touch. Studio has small unfinished but functional bath with shower, nice kitchen, living room, and bed at far end. While we were there water pressure dropped out twice and the last night the cable box failed. The water could have been a big problem but we lucked out and were not in shower. The cable box could have failed with anybody. We were comfortable and, with windows open, easily avoided using AC.

There is a gorgeous garden you walk through to the room and the little house we stayed in was absolutely perfect for my fiancee and I. Jim is one of the owners of the property and he offered nice recommendations. Our flight left several hours after the check out time. He allowed us to keep our bags on the property while we continued to explore savannah. If you are wondering about whether to rent a car, I wouldn't! Savannah is very much a walking down and we were glad that we decided not to. You're close to alot of the museums, restaurants, and the Savannah river. It's a $7 Lyft to the historic district/City market. Honestly driving looked more stressful because of the small streets and limited parking. You'll spend way less by walking and/or using Lyft.

• Verified traveler (10/5): A great time in Savannah and the Galloway House - We had an excellent stay at the Galloway House and the Carolina Suite. Jim was a great host and followed up from the time we left Florida until we arrived. He welcomed us and gave us some great info that saved us time and money. Showed us the property and made sure we are happy. The location was great and no issue with parking as some mention. The suite was clean and we found cold water in the fridge, bottle of wine on the counter as well as tea and coffee. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family.
• Tammy (10/5): Beautiful Area Away from the Crowds - We loved that the Inn was not in a busy part of town. We brought our bikes to ride into Forsyth Park as well as the Downtown area but I would say that you will need to drive into the historic areas where all the beautiful squares are if you didn’t bring bicycles. There were great coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance to the inn and we especially loved the Foxy Loxy Cafe. We stayed in the tip top of the house (the attic) which was Like being in a tree house. We loved sitting out on the little balcony at night with our wine. It’s like a small apartment up there. I wouldn’t stay this high up if you have difficulty climbing stairs, it was quite a climb. The garden area was beautiful and would be a great place to have your morning coffee. I love that they had their own parking spaces for guests and a Well lit area to get to our room . The homes and buildings surrounding the Inn were absolutely beautiful as was the Inn itself. We definitely would stay here again especially since they allowed us to store our bikes in the courtyard.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet, home-like but still accessible to downtown. - Enjoyed my stay here very much. I was in the top floor loft. This involves an two-story outdoor stair climb to access. It is a shotgun-type layout. When you enter, on the right is a cove with washer/dryer. After that, is the bathroom, newly remodeled with curtained corner shower stall (no tub). Then the kitchen which has full size fridge, range and microwave. Coffeemaker and coffee provided, as well as some utensils and basic, useful kitchen tools. Followed by living area with sofa and recliner chair, large TV with Comcast. Sleeping area at far end, queen(?) bed with memory foam and a dresser. Very pleasant, home-like atmosphere. Was there during cold spell and heating kept a comfortable temp. Being on top level affords it privacy, as you are looking over treetops and the tops of surrounding houses. Free parking on the street (except street sweep night), or use 1 of 2 spaces out back. Pretty quiet neighborhood, removed from the bustle and noise of downtown, but you can still walk if you have time, or take the free circulator shuttle bus that stops a couple streets over. Popular coffee house about 1.5 blocks west (Foxy Loxy or something like that). A couple higher-end restaurants close by; was going to try one but broke down and went to one of Paula Deen's places instead. There is a Whole Foods maybe 2 miles away but I would recommend driving there. Proprietor gave me an orientation when I arrived and then I was left to my own devices. Would definitely stay here again.
• Ulrike (10/5): Special Place - Staying in the upper floor of the carriage house in the back of the Galloway Mansion was a pleasure. Sitting in a perfectly comfortable, beautiful furnished treehouse. The personal touch of the owner was welcoming and it felt like being at home.
• Spenelli (10/5): - What an incredible place to stay!!! Owner was very welcoming and informative on local interests. The room (mini apartment) felt like home. We stayed in the room above the carriage house. Perfect for a private and relaxing get away. Within walking distance of downtown historic Savannah (about 1.6 miles) but far enough out that you are not overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle. I will say being a historic home with historic windows you can easily hear street traffic but it was not a bother to us. The Garden was a perfect outdoor hideaway and even inspired us with ideas for our own garden. A short walk to local eateries and about a 5 minuet walk to Forsyth Park. This Inn is highly recommended in our book. We hope to visit again.
• Elena (8/5): - Well equipped room and bathroom. Keith was super nice and made us feel at home. There was ample supply of juice, bagels and coffee and yogurt. Bed was very comfy and sheets were spectacular! I would only suggest he adds a couple of TV tables for eating...Its a little uncomfortable on the coffee table. Other than that, it was wonderful!
• Lawrence (10/5): Savannah trip - Comfortable small apt with a small bath and shower. Convenient to the historic district. Owners are very nice and helpful.
• Jay&A (10/5): - Very clean location. We stayed on 3rd floor apartment which required some stair climbing. Other than the potential to have great views from the 3rd...there we not many windows so it was to be desired. Overall great spot, cool staff and purposeful location.

• Rosaly (10/5): - Jim greeted us warmly and showed us the lay of the land, all the local fare. All the new or best spots to dine. How to get to the waterfront and best parking around. We stayed at the Renwick suite and it was lovely for 2 - the refrigerator was stocked with bottled water, there were yogurts and pastries to enjoy as well as a bottle of wine. The garden was beautiful. Savannah restored my faith in mankind. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, they said hello and goodbye. Even a clerk at a local pharmacy wished us a great day. I can't recall the last time anyone wished me that at my local pharmacy.
• Lucia (10/5): Galloway house inn stay - Our stay was accidental, I did not know it was a b&b. However it wasn’t! It was a private apartment. Very clean, with a lot of character and charm. I would recommend to everyone.

• Mo (10/5): - I stayed in the carriage house which is essentially a one bedroom apartment, and it was wonderful. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The host was welcoming and offered information about the city and restaurants. A bottle of wine, bottles of water, juice, yogurt, bagels, muffins and granola bars was provided which was unexpected and extremely thoughtful. There was a missing towel bar in the bathroom and a broken outlet cover in the living area, ( small things that could be repaired very easily and quickly). Other than that, it was absolutely charming and someplace I would definitely stay again.
