• JIAYI (10/5): Perfect experience for a ski holiday! - All the staff are very friendly and helpful! For skiers/snowboarders, the location actually perfect. Balcony is facing Matterhorn, just next to the public view point, therefore it’s on the hill, however you can ski/snowboard directly from route 2 ( through the woods) lol so highly recommend this hotel

Everyone was extremely kind and attentive to our comfort We couldn’t make the TV work but for us it was no problem. It is not that close to the pistes or the station as we thought from the description.

• Claudia (7/5): Es war ok, würde mir aber bei einem nächsten Aufenthalt noch einmal etwas anderes suchen. - Ein wunderbarer Blick aufs Matterhorn. Nettes, hilfsbereites Personal, wenn denn da. Abends ist niemand mehr an der Theke. Prima Frühstück. Zimmer ist spartanisch eingerichtet. Nicht wohlig. Sehr komische Metall-Deckenbeleuchtung, wie eine Krake. Bett ist sehr niedrig. Eine seltsam dünne Zudecke gab kaum Wärme, deshalb holte ich mir eine zweite Decke. Verfügbare Teebeutel abgezählt und wenig Auswahl. Nur mit Lift konnte man sich in den Etage indoor bewegen, ansonsten über eine Aussentreppe.

Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich wie in einem Märchen – die Ausstattung ist aussergewöhnlich schön, mit viel Liebe zum Detail und einer ganz besonderen Atmosphäre. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Das Frühstück ist einfach hervorragend – eine riesige Auswahl, alles frisch und von bester Qualität. Besonders begeistert hat uns der unglaublich feine Kuchen, der rund um die Uhr zusammen mit Kaffee angeboten wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können dieses Hotel von Herzen weiterempfehlen.

• Zachary (10/5): - The view of the Matterhorn everyday is worth the short uphill walk. Some reviewers complained about the walk, but this gives you an awesome view over the town and the Matterhorn. Incredible views at breakfast as well! The Zen spa is also amazing, however there is no hot tub.
• Melissa (9/5): Really beautiful spot for a relaxing Zermatt experience. - Thank you for including the cost of the Cervino Taxi service from, and back to, the train station with a minimum of 2 night stay. The amazing steam room, sauna, and relaxation area that are included with the cost of the stay was a highlight! I also liked the proximity to a scenic trail to the base of the Schwarszee chairlift. The handmade furniture and decor gave the modern renovation a lot of character. I was confused regarding the taxi as it’s not a taxi belonging to the hotel, but rather a local company called Cervino Taxi.

The owners are adorable and provided special breakfast food for my gluten and lactose intolerant friend. In the afternoon you can eat cake and drink tea for free in the lounge, it's so comfy Ok this is nitpicky but I prefer a colder room at night and a thicker duvet!

• Jessie (9/5): Wonderful stay, beautiful view, amazing staff! - We loved the view, the staff, the vibe of the lodge, and the room set up was perfect for our family. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend! The staff were so helpful with food recommendations, travel routes, and even played and entertained my kids. They were wonderful! Our faucet was a little hard to turn on, but other than that we have no complaints!

• Nicole (10/5): Can’t recommend enough ! - The Alpenlodge is such a great find! Deborah, Martin, Ellie and the entire staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They provided us with detailed recommendations and went over and beyond despite the Christmas holiday. The spa (sauna, steam room, & relaxation area), view from the hotel, affordable same-day laundry service, and breakfast were cherries on top of an already wonderful experience. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. If you’re looking to go up to Glacier Paradise and/or ski the Italian side, the walk is about 20-30 minutes with a gentle hill upon return. There are other options - including bus and taxi - in getting to the furi/funi/gondola and heart of Zermatt’s town.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices. We loved our room and the breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. This is no fault of the property but the views from our patio were so spectacular that it attracted other guests who, despite our open curtains lying in bed enjoying the view decided they would make themselves comfortable on our room’s patio! Yes, right next to the window of the room’s bed. Unbelievable!

Good breakfast and nice staff. They include a ride to-and-from the train station with your bags. A bit of a trudge up the hill from town but doable.
• Isabelle (10/5): Super Unterkunft in einer traumhaften Lage - Taxitransfer vom Zug zur Alpenlodge bei An- und Abreise ist umsonst. Die Lage des Hotels. Man kann von dort aus gleich die Wanderwege nutzen ist aber auch relativ schnell im Zentrum. Grandioser Blick aufs Matterhorn. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, gemütlich eingerichtet, schönes Badezimmer, mit eigener Terrasse und direktem Blick aufs Matterhorn, welches wir dieses Mal an allen 3 Tagen sehr gut sehen konnten. Das Frühstücksbuffet lies keine Wünsche übrig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden

• ANNA1993 (10/5): traumhafter Bergkulisse, tollem Frühstück und außerordentlich freundlichem Personal - Das Hotel bietet einen wirklich spektakulären Ausblick auf die umliegenden Berge – ein Panorama, das man so schnell nicht vergisst und das den Aufenthalt besonders macht. Auch das Frühstück war hervorragend: vielfältig, frisch und mit einer großen Auswahl, die sowohl internationale als auch regionale Speisen abdeckt. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist das Personal. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit bemüht, den Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Dadurch fühlt man sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Etwas umständlich gestaltet sich die Erreichbarkeit. Bis zum nächsten Bahnhof muss man ein Stück laufen, was mit Gepäck oder bei schlechtem Wetter nicht immer ideal ist. Zwar bietet das Hotel am An- und Abreisetag einen Shuttle-Service, doch für den alltäglichen Weg ist man auf einen kleinen Fußmarsch angewiesen. Das kann man positiv als sportliche Bewegung sehen, für manche Gäste ist es jedoch eher eine kleine Unannehmlichkeit.

• Laurie (10/5): A Gem of a Hotel - We had an amazing stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff were incredible, so friendly and informative. They were willing to hold our luggage an extra day before we checked in. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped with robes and slippers. Our balcony provided an amazing view of the Matterhorn. There is no restaurant for dinner but if notified ahead of time they will provide a fondue, which was a fabulous. The hotel is a 15 minute uphill climb - though tiring at the end of the day - definitely worth it for the atmosphere of the hotel, the views, and to be away from the busy downtown area. The hotel provides a taxi to and from the train station if staying 2 nights. I wish we could return soon! Nothing

Ontbijt was zeer compleet en persoonlijk (keuze voor verschillende ei varianten). Eigenlijk niets, je moet wel 15 minuten lopen om van het centrum bij het hotel te komen. Bij aankomst en vertrek kan er gebruik gemaakt worden van een gratis Taxi.
• prepgirl (10/5): Great views and great service! - The location gave us an incredible view of the Matterhorn from our room and the dining room. The hotel is on the western end of Zermatt, providing a great view of the town, especially the nighttime lights. We were close enough to walk to the downtown, but far enough on the outskirts to avoid the noise/commotion of the downtown. The hotel is a quick walk to the bus stop, and taxis are also available. The breakfast had a very good selection of high quality breads, cheeses, meats, yogurts, eggs and juices. The staff were friendly and helpful. They held our luggage after we checked out, and sent it by taxi to the train station where we were located after going on an excursion. The shower in our room was awkwardly located, so that there was a lack of privacy. The shower area was visible from the bedroom/common area.

• Karen (10/5): - The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and included eggs cooked to order. We had a view of the Matterhorn from our beautifully renovated room and large deck.

• Tara (10/5): An Alpine lodge near everything! - The location near everything was fantastic while also feeling very Alpine-y!! Breakfast was amazing and staff was friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Martin who made us feel especially welcome!! And thank you for the complimentary cab service to and from the bahnhof!! I loved EVERYTHING. Our view of the Matterhorn from our room was such a great gift!!

• John Christian (9/5): Lovely hotel in Zermatt with amazing views of the Matterhorn. - Exceptional breakfast with lovely staff. A bit of an uphill walk going back from town center. However, the views are amazing!
• Edwin (9/5): Buena opción de alojamiento en la zona - La vista es espectacular, buenas instalaciones, lugar muy bonito, excelente opción de alojamiento en la zona, el personal fue muy amable. La vista a la montaña es increíble pero esto hace que sea alejado del centro y que haya que caminar bastante. Desayuno ok.
• MChristine (9/5): gREAT zERMATT STAY. - The breakfast was delightful and offered lots of variety. The view was amazing! Staff incredible! The location required a long walk into town and if we go back we would find a place a little closer. Loved the bus tho!

• Casio (10/5): Great place to stay - I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Everything was perfect — from the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms to the overall atmosphere of the property. What really stood out to me was the reception staff. They were incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming. Their efficiency and warm attitude made check-in and check-out smooth and pleasant. I truly appreciated their attention to detail and willingness to assist with anything I needed. -
