Guest Reviews
- BeckyWiltshire1 (10/5): Beautiful location - Spent 3 nights in the Villa room, which was lovely. Plenty of space just for the two of us instead of just a normal room, but still wouldn’t have felt small if there was four people staying. Fantastic views out of all windows and even saw amazing wildlife from the windows. The gardens are beautiful and added bonus of a small swimming pool and jacuzzi which we used each early evening after a day’s activities. Food is good (not excellent) and you need to book as they had a large coach party when we were staying.
It’s not walkable into the main town but is just a short drive.
- ludvog (10/5): Great stay! - We had a great stay at Arenal Volcano Inn. My family of 5 stayed in the Villa. It had lots of space (2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms), a full kitchen, a living room and a washer/dryer. The washer/dryer was very useful. The morning breakfast was fantastic, with a much broader selection than I was expecting. My kids really enjoyed playing in the pool. Though it was a small pool, it can in very handy for the kids to burn some energy in the late afternoon once activities were wrapped up for the day. Also, the property attracts lots (lots!) of unique birds. My wife and I really enjoyed watching the birds and other wildlife. They also have a lot of interesting plants on site.
Prior to our trip, I joined a number of Costa Rica travel Facebook groups. This hotel was not mentioned anywhere near as much as the other hotels in La Fortuna, but it should definitely get more recognition. It is truly a hidden gem!
- GeoPosi (6/5): Unique hotel at the base of Arenal - Hotel is on a tropical hillside next to the volcano. Nothing nearby, have to taxi to town. Rooms vary, some hotel style, some standalone. Rooms are made of stone and mortar, which makes them cold and dark. The tin roofs are very loud in the rain. Rooms near the pool are not private and get lots of road noise. Services are limited to bar are restaurant. Good breakfast. Ok for an overnight trip to volcano, which by the way was underwhelming. Best local attraction are the hot springs resorts and natural pools (not at hotel).
- L9713HTerikab (10/5): Perfect location, great breakfast! - We stayed in the villa and it was perfect. Bed was comfy. Washer and dryer so we didn’t have to overpack and every other amenity we wanted. Pool was nice after a day of hiking. Great view of the volcano from the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious.
- Michael3942 (8/5): An excellent choice in the Arenal area - The Arenal Volcano Inn is located halfway between the town of La Fortuna and the hot springs of Tabacón. We were attracted by a "Yuplón" promotion which included breakfast and dinner. The hotel was an excellent value. It features spacious rooms and well-maintained grounds and gardens with fruit trees and songbirds. There was a lookout tower behind our room. The restaurant food was fine though nothing special. Thew weather was rainy- hardly the hotel's fault. Service was attentive- the staff came to replace the TV's cable box which wasn't working. Noise level was acceptable except for moments when some heavy trucks struggled to climb the slope of the adjacent highway.
- robinjoysnest (10/5): Casita with a Volcano View and Friendly Staff - Arenal Volcano Inn was a beautiful place to stay. The location is very close to many of the tours (zip line, ATV, Sloth tour, hot springs). The view of the volcano out our casita window was incredible and the staff lovely. Breakfast was a bonus! We loved the pool and hot tub after hiking and the bar and front desk staff were so kind, helpful, and lovely. I highly recommend this inn!
- Jorge (10/5): - compared to other hotels in costa rica, this is a great choice for the money, affordable and clean option
- Keisha (8/5): - Our casita with the view of the volcano was great and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast could have been better with more protein options.
- Stacey (10/5): Great for family with teens - We stayed in the 2 bedroom / 2 bath villa for 2 adults and 2 older teens. It was perfect for us - lots of space and close to the pool. The king and 2 queen beds were comfortable and each room had an a/c unit. So handy to have laundry in the unit!
Loved having a delicious breakfast included; fresh fruit, pancakes, rice & beans and more.
This resort is an easy drive just outside of La Fortuna and it was a quick drive to our activities like hanging bridges and hiking and the Fortuna waterfall.
- Kylie (10/5): - Great location, yummy breakfast, friendly staff
- Marlene (6/5): - Nice location, beautiful viewa of volcano.
Room and bathroom a bit dated. Friendly staff. Breakfast couldbe improved.
- Angel (10/5): - All good...
- H2650VIdianag (10/5): Great place!! - The room was amazing!!, perfectly clean and well furnished, beautiful gardens and views in the entire property, and the most delicious complete “tico” breakfast, way beyond our expectations price/quality!
The staff was very kind and make us feel as family! ❤️
- Janneth (10/5): - Vistas of Volcan Arenal, nice hot tub and pool. Clean and spacious. Delicious breakfast.
- 2checkreviews (6/5): Light sleepers beware- I was woken up by road noise. - Stayed here as part of a tour group. I was given a room at level 2 and was woken up every morning by road noise. The Wi-Fi didnt work properly, even at the reception I couldn’t connect to my VPN and was unusable in the room. Room looking a little worn. No tv channels in English. The grounds had pretty manicured landscaping but would have liked more jungle for maximum wild life. While I was there…there wasn’t any bird feeders set out and there wasn’t a sloth on the property. Some toucans did land way high up on some trees that I enjoyed seeing. It did have a decent view of volcano but it looked like there were other places with better views on the other side of the road. The buffet breakfast was just ok. Reception staff were nice.
- david (6/5): Hotel adequate; Restaurant less so. - This place is not a bad option. It's a bit over-priced. The pool is nice enough (3 ft deep!) & the staff is helpful. The lighting is terrible--ours had no cover so it felt like an interrogation. No bedstand lighting, harsh & insufficient ceiling lights. It's pretty depressing, frankly - à la cheap roadside motels. The rooms are clean enough, although it may be time for a bit of a spruce up. The location is fine--and the town has many dining options, on which you'll depend, as the food at this hotel is just not good (but you can't walk to them--it's a five-minute drive). Pro tip--avoid the horrid breakfast buffet (I mean, really bad!) and ask the waiter to prepare an omelet. It was very good. But, terrible toast & all the margarine you can eat. I begged for butter, but was told by the staff that they didn't have any butter. But, one day, a magical employee who actually gave a damn brought me "the last three tabs" of butter. I thanked him profusely. Apparently, the restaurant is known for it's wood-fired pizza. While it's true that they did use a wood oven, it was without question the worst pizza we EVER had. Chalky, flat crust, pasty tomato sauce and about three pounds of not-good cheese. I asked for the jalapeños, only to learn that they were PICKLED!! Seriously?? pickles on pizza, and in a country that probably grows more jalapeños than any other produce?? Again, an embarrassment.
- Wood77 (8/5): Arenal Volcano in the clouds - We stayed at Arenal Volcano Inn when exploring this area. Our unit was up slope and had an unobstructed view of the volcano. Room was big with two beds, an adjacent alcove with coffee maker and refrigerator, and separate bathroom. The tropical grounds were tranquil, neat and well kept. Concrete or paved walkways led to different units, swimming pool, and restaurant. Breakfast was included though selections were somewhat limited. Location is around a 10 minute drive from downtown La Fortuna where many restaurants and tours/experiences purchased may be made there.
- 783hernang (6/5): Not bad in general - Good hotel in general, with good infrastructure. We stayed at the Family room which is basically a bungalow for yourself. The room is spacious, the kitchen and sitting area also very nice. We cannot comment on many of the services as it rained continuously during our stay. The restaurant and breakfast are not bad, There was construction ongoing jsut adjacent to our room which made it a bit uncomfortable as it started early in the morning (after complaining, we gained 30 minutes the following day). Location is close to everything if you have a car. Cannot comment on the view due to the weather.
- DavidTally (8/5): Nice stay - I stayed here two nights as part of a tour group. Overall, I thought the hotel was nice. It’s among a lot of tropical plants and trees and if it’s clear, you have a decent view of the volcano. I sat by the pool at sunrise and sunset and listened to the birds making a heck of a lot of noise!
The room had two queen beds, a tile floor, a huge walk-in shower that would’ve held six people, and a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment up top.
The AC worked great, as did the hot water.
Earlier reviews were correct, in that you are not supposed to flush toilet paper down the toilet, it goes in a trash container next to the toilet. It might be too much information, but based on other reviews, I brought some of my own toilet paper!
I had several meals at the restaurant and while it wasn’t five star dining, the food was overall pretty decent.
The staff was, to a person, over the top nice.
The only negative to me was the WiFi was horribly slow. I could do texts and email but web browsing was very bad.
- U5301IEstuartw (8/5): In the middle of nowhere - Hotel is a distance from anything else. Need a cab into La Fortuna or eat in the hotel, your choice.
Rooms big. with 2 double beds, coffee machine in room
Staff helpful.
Breakfast buffet bit limited and repetitive when staying 3 nights.
Nice jacuzzi. Sun loungers by pool need replacing, old and very uncomfortable, no mattresses for them
- Verified traveler (2/5): No hot water, no wifi in room, no …. - No hot water, no wifi in the room, no table, no chairs, no room for luggage. Bed has strange smell. Very disappointed given the price. May be OK if the price is half.
- CHICKENPARM41 (8/5): Decent Stay - We stayed in a semi-attached cottage on a nice green landscaped lawn.
The a/c worked well. There was very little water pressure. The water in the shower never got hot, it was only lukewarm. The water in the sink was only cold. The lever went up and down and not side to side, so we were stuck with cold water in the sink.
They provided soaps in the shower.
I understand that the restaurant had some good tasting pizza, but you must make a reservation to eat there. We went into town.
The property is very close to town and Uber works very well, and it's cheap.
There were high ceilings in the room. No lamps, just ceiling lights.
TV had many decent channels.
Breakfast was just okay. They had scrambled eggs and pancakes, which were adequate. Coffee was okay.
Front desk clerks were all very nice. There was a nice pool.
Unfortunately, due to cloud coverage, we never saw the volcano :(
- Bjaco1 (4/5): Disappointed - my fault - We did not stay… was booked by a travel agent. Staff was friendly but when we got to our cottage - room, it was not what we had expected. The room was clean but had a very strong FaBreeze smell and it made me have an asthma attack. There were no lamps by the bed and only a single light on the ceiling fan. There was a wall mounted light fixture beside one side of the bed but only one bulb worked and the remaining one was dim.
There was nowhere to store clothes. The property felt empty and as it became dark, I got nervous and did not feel comfortable.
I should have checked this out better because I was seeking a nicer setting and amenities. The website has a blocker on it so it was a bit difficult to see. Plus, our travel agent made the arrangement.
There was no one to help us with luggage and the hills were high and we had a lot of luggage. No golf cart was offered.
- M1433QTandreap (10/5): Incredible service - way above and beyond! - Can't say enough good things about the service at the Arenal Volcano Inn. I left an item in their (wonderful) restaurant, Que Rico, and discovered the error after leaving Arenal. The hotel manager worked with me to retrieve the item and forward it on to me at another location in-country, working tirelessly, with seemingly round-the-clock lightening fast response. Location is especially beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the many dishes available at Que Rico, as well as the incredible views.
- 1elizabeth76 (10/5): The most cozy, relaxing hotel with an amazing view of Volcano Arenal. - Arenal Volcano Inn is a shining beacon of hospitality, offering plush beds and a prime location that's close to it all. While perfection is elusive, this captivating retreat stole our hearts during our first visit, leaving us with memories to treasure. The employees we encountered were epitomes of warmth and helpfulness, and the pool and surroundings dazzled with spotlessness, offering thrilling views of the volcano each morning. Our stay was a symphony of happiness, and we can't wait to return. I enthusiastically endorse this incredible destination to anyone seeking an unforgettable experience – it's a decision that will fill your heart with joy.
- Michelle (8/5): - It was relaxing aside from all the motorcycles passing by and the loud bugs. There were many bugs which is to be expected near to trees.
- dkschelp (10/5): Beautiful property and amazing customer service - The grounds and rooms were immaculate. Our bungalow had an amazing view of the volcano. The restaurant was very tasty and service was great.
However the best part was the customer service that we received. My husband got sick the day we arrived and we needed to get him his own space for the time we were there. Maggie (sp?) at the front desk was amazing. She helped me get his room squared away. She called to check on him daily. She helped me figure out where to take him to get medical care. A difficult situation was made much easier because of her help.
I would highly recommend a stay here.
- Moises (10/5): - Great place, nice surrounding
- Ana (10/5): - Very nice place
- Ram (10/5): - Amazing property, very quiet and private!
- karol (10/5): - Great
- Pallavi (10/5): - Great property
- Eboni (10/5): - Excellent Property
- Daryl (10/5): - Beautiful natural surroundings 😃
- Eugene (10/5): - Perfect 10
- spitzy135 (8/5): Good Base Hotel for Arenal - We stayed here as part of a Gate 1 tour. These are cute spacious bungalows with beautiful grounds having great views of the volcano.
Each unit has high ceilings, AC and fan, a decent bathroom with a modern shower and a small kitchen type area with a mini fridge, sink and coffeemaker. The beds are also very comfortable. The TV is small, up in a corner, with only a couple of English speaking stations. The breakfast buffet is very good and has a large variety of choices. Daily housekeeping is available by leaving a card on your door. We took advantage of this especially since you are asked to not put toilet paper in the commode. (common in CR).
There is a nice pool and jacuzzi. and you can see birds everywhere at this beautifully tropical well manicured property. If you go to the top of the hill near the back of the property you can get the best view of the volcano, sit on a bench and take it all in. The volcano seemed to be the clearest in the mornings and clouded up toward the afternoon. So do check it out at various times of the day for some great pictures!
Although the room was large, there was very little space for clothing. All we had was some open shelving. No dressers seems to be a thing in CR. Make sure you bring your own tissues too as none are supplied (another CR oddity). Also don’t count on Wi-Fi working in your room. It worked only briefly by the window, then would not connect. My husband needed to send an important file and was able to access the Wi-Fi at reception, with the assistance of some very helpful staff. Can’t complain too much, these were minor inconveniences, considering where you are located!
All in all, we were quite pleased with our volcano view accommodations. Its a perfect base for exploring the Arenal area.
- azizaG4314WM (10/5): I was happy with the kind service that they provided me with and beautiful destinations in Arenal volcano and around - Best view hotel with best price. A lot of activities to do hotel help me with everything am happpy here and I would highly recommend the resort and I’m coming again soon same place. I enjoy my time in the mountains and volcanic mountains horse riding
- PACK_a_MAC_90 (8/5): Incredible Volcano Views - Our stay at Arenal Volcano Inn proved to be a comfortable retreat, perfectly located for exploring Arenal and the surrounding areas.
We stayed in a deluxe suite that offered breath-taking views of the impressive Arenal Volcano. Waking up to such a sight each morning was truly unforgettable and added an extra layer of charm to our stay.
The hotel offers a decent pool area, perfect for soaking up the sun on warm days. While not overly luxurious, it provided a refreshing respite after a day of exploring the surrounding area.
Mixed Dining Experience: Although we opted to dine out in La Fortuna for dinner each night (there are plenty of good quality restaurants and bars to choose from- lost of life and atmosphere in the town and uber from the hotel was about $3), we did partake in the breakfast offered at the hotel, which was a fairly mediocre buffet style option.
Comfortable Accommodations: Our room was perfectly comfortable and provided all the amenities we needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The large jacuzzi bathtub was perfect for a cold soak to sooth the sunburn!
Ideal Base for Exploring: Arenal Volcano Inn served as an ideal base for exploring the plethora of activities and attractions in the area. From volcano hiking and hot springs, to white water rafting (highly recommend Paddle9) and exploring the hanging bridges, there was no shortage of adventures to embark on.
In conclusion, Arenal Volcano Inn isn't a luxurious hotel but is perfectly comfortable and offers prime views of the volcano. It's a solid choice for those needing nothing more than a comfortable base while exploring Arenal, La Fortuna and the variety of excursions available.
- stevelU4418EZ (10/5): One of the best places in La Fortuna for value, view, and comfort - The cabins are great, the location is perfect for views of the volcano as well as if visiting the hanging bridges or hot springs parks. There are ample Ubers if you want to go into la Fortuna, only about 3 or 4 miles away, and the grounds are lovely, clean and well kept. The beds are nice, the bathrooms are roomy, with nice showers and the pool isn't big but is super nice to cool down in. I enjoyed the breakfast, though limited in choice, but with plenty to eat and nice fresh fruit.
- I5496FRdanielac (10/5): Incredible family experience - Absolutely all the staff was very friendly. The hotel is nice and very comfortable. It has an incredible view of the Arenal volcano. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Do not hesitate to stay here! Ideal for families and couples. The hotel has an electric vehicle charger for medium charge for 110 and 220 voltages. Thank you for an incredible few days of disconnection in the middle of nature.
- mariannek525 (10/5): Great view and very friendly - It has a beautiful view of the vulcano. Nice rooms that very spacious and nice. The staff is very friendly and gives a good service.
The breakfast buffet has everything you need and is fresh and inviting. We had dinner which was also very good and with fair prices.
A minor thing is that there is no drinking water in the room, and it is quite expensive to buy in the bar.
- LG30 (8/5): Great volcano views - We enjoyed a few nights at this hotel. Staff were welcoming when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed, including recommendations for activities. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night and food was great. Breakfast had a range of options.
Could have done with a bit more space to store clothes as there was only one small wardrobe. Fine for couples but perhaps not enough for a family of 4!
Best feature of the hotel is the view of the volcano!
- 346traceyo (10/5): Such a Gem - We stayed two nights on a Gate1 trip and it was just beautiful.
Nice clean rooms and great staff. Pool was lovely.
We saw lots of wildlife and the views of the volcano were breathtaking.
The breakfast buffet offered lots of choice and we had a evening meal which was the best fish I had on my trip. Would stay again
- Stacy (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay. Amenities were perfect and well maintained. Staff was super friendly and helpful
- Adriana (10/5): - The volcano views
- Tomas (8/5): Pleasant stay in a good location - Pleasant resort, room a bit dated but comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff, good location
- Steven (10/5): Beautiful staf - The staff was excellent. They made great suggestions for dinner and made reservations for us. There was a shuttle to take you to restaurants which was helpful because La Fortuna is busy. Very spacious rooms, terrific views of Volcano.
- Eric (10/5): - Beautiful scenery..
- letta (10/5): - I booked this property as I was literally driving to La Fortuna. So glad I did. It sits facing the volcano and the views were unbelievable. I was in cabin #107 loved where it was located!! The grounds are just beautiful and staff very helpful. Loved the unique rooms. I will be back. 🌴❤️
- Pedro (10/5): - Front desk was cute
- Gonzalo (10/5): Hotel rodeado de naturaleza - Hotel con buena ubicación y la habitación amplia y limpia.
- Manu (10/5): - Awesome facility. Very helpful and caring. Food in the restaurant is super good too. The folks in the reception can help you plan your trip in Arenal area. Highly recommend.
- Joyce (10/5): Great place to stay - This area of Costa Rica is such a beautiful area to visit. The hotel was in a very pretty setting and we could see the volcano through our window. The restaurant right on the property was very good. We ate there multiple times and the staff was always so friendly and pleasant. Everyone at the hotel was super nice and helpful.
- Brian (10/5): - Beautiful grounds. Well maintained. Staff was very helpful and kind.
- Kate (10/5): - We loved Arenal Volcano Inn. Our family of 6 had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom villa with a kitchen, sitting area, and washer and dryer. It was clean and spacious. The swimming pool was perfect and we almost always had it to ourselves during our stay. The gardens all around the property were so beautiful. The breakfast was the best we had while in Costa Rica and the views of the the volcano from the restaurant and the master bedroom of our villa were amazing! We would stay here again.
- adam (10/5): - Excellent location, clean room, great price, friendly staff, good food, great view!
- Sethany (10/5): Love this place - Staff was helpful and nice. Hotel was clean. It was safe. I loved this place.
- hyun (6/5): - No interesting amenities
- SHERRI (8/5): - I liked individual stand alone units.
- Scott (10/5): - This is our first trip to Costa Rica & our 3rd lodging.
We started in a beautiful villa in Punta Islita, a condo near Playa Conchal & this Inn.
We love the traditional vibes of the Inn. We are in a bungalow with 2 bedrooms/2 baths that can accommodate 6 persons with a kitchen, living & dining area. Has a washer/dryers
Love the cleanliness & the open floor plan. You can see Arenal Volcano from the reception area.
Erica in front desk has excellent customer service.
We arrived at 1:15 to catch a guided volcano tour. Our pick up is in another hotel because somehow the Inn wasn’t listed as a pick up place.
Erica offered to call the company so we can be picked up at the Inn. Fantastic.
She also facilitated to store our luggage in the office while in the tour. But it turned out our bungalow was ready. We were able to check in before 3pm. The Inn is well-maintained & clean. Our bed was very comfortable, towels were new/newer. Grounds are well kept. There’s definitely “pride in ownership”. It has a nice restaurant on site. Our waiter was attentive, food was very good (had dinner).
Wish we could stay here for at least 3 nights to see more wildlife & highlights of the area but we leave for Manuel Antonio Park in the afternoon for a guided tour on Mon.
The Inn is so close to town.
I highly recommend this Inn.You won’t be disappointed.
- Joanne (6/5): - It was a nice experience, the room was clean but we checked out 1 day early. The wifi was not great and the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to experience the pool.
- martha (10/5): - The overall experience was amazing. From the friendly staff to the delicious breakfast buffet. Margarita is amazing. Thank you more making our stay special
- Priscila (10/5): - Great place to stay and go around for tours. Good breakfast. Nice rooms with confortable beds.
- SAMUEL (10/5): - Very nice
- Jiaming (10/5): - it is beautiful and well maintained. Location is great, convenient to scenery, activities and shopping, def come back if in the area again!
- Claude (10/5): - Food was great and priced fairly . Staff very helpful and cordial. Excellent facilities. Highly recommend a stay here.
- Ana (10/5): - Muy lindo, limpio y comodo. Los jardines preciosos, lastima que el volcan arenal "no se dejo ver bien" .....
- Scott (10/5): - Breakfast included, super friendly staff, clean rooms. Overall a very positive experience.
- Norma (6/5): - Great view of the volcano and good restaurant attached, especially good pizza. Otherwise a bit dated. Very thin blankets, pillowcases too small to cover the pillows, polystyrene cups (and only two), and windows screwed shut.
- Brittney (4/5): - If Arenal Volcano Inn could be rated on just it's views, it would get five stars. However, the deluxe rooms and it's amenities were a bit disappointing. Only a tiny closet to hang clothes in a room meant for four people, single little landings built into the corners. Although it is a hot climate and bugs are to be expected, I struggled to keep little biting nats away from my belongings and luggage the whole time. Any trace of food would bring an army of little biting ants. Parking was very difficult given the renovations going on the property and jacuzzi tub was luke warm. Other than those things, the continental breakfast was pretty good and they offered activities you could be shuttled to.
- Briana (10/5): - Lived that we could do laundry and that the room was so clean and large! Kids loved the pool and hot tub. And breakfast was delicious!
- John A. (10/5): - Wonderful spot with delightful staff
- Dennis (10/5): - Beautiful area
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is beautiful with excellent food and staff. Everything was perfect!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great views! Clean room and awesome breakfast!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We can’t say enough about the staff! They were all incredibly friendly and accommodating! They explained the area really well and was willing to help with reservations when needed. Food was decent. Nice to have breakfast taken care of. The kitchen was eager to help with food allergies within our group. Location of the hotel was close to town and activities. The grounds were beautiful and clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed during covid. Loved the property and the staff were hospitabl
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Have no idea why my reservation and time let we’re with another totally different reservation. And because of it I couldn’t check into my room till the next morning . I expect Expedia to fully refund for the first night .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - For my first trip to Costa Rica, this property was everything I needed plus more. I cannot highly express how wonderful the customer service was at the property, the food, the people...I could literally go on and on. I really was sad to leave. This will be my go-to property for future returns! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - superrecomandable to enyoj relax nature and take off from work!
- Dan,Nicole&Kish (10/5): - Perfect location, accommodations and excellent restaurant. Very clean & comfortable & covid safe (blankets come wrapped so you know they have not been used). Of course sheets & all are cleaned. Used pool & jacuzie. At base of volcano with perfect views. Totally pleased with everything. Good price at the restaurant and food is excellent A .
- Roberto (8/5): - Nice hotel with an amazing view of the Arenal volcano. Very friendly staff and conveniently located on the side of main road.
- Ctbeachbm (10/5): - The Arenal Volcano Inn is the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in Costa Rica. The views of the volcano from the immaculately manicured gardens are incredible. Hot water is plentiful in the bathrooms and the jacuzzi is a real treat! Service is great, I highly recommend.
- Jen (10/5): - Beautiful property. Beautiful view. Hot tub wasn’t hot though.
- CCBowen (10/5): - What a beautiful property, with a little bit of space to feel like you were on your own. The staff was friendly, the lodgings secure and a great breakfast.
- Rex (8/5): - Lovely front desk and restaurant staff. So kind and happy. The property itself is very clean and well kept. I like the set up of little bungalows with views of the volcano. I wish the property had a hot spring, that’s the only complaint I have. Otherwise a great stay and worth the money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint and well-maintained property in a perfect location for all activities in the Arenal/La Fortuna area. Our room was spacious and clean with a direct view of the volcano. The delicious breakfast provided everyday alongside chirping tropical birds was the highlight for me! Would recommend this place to any travelers and would stay here again.
- Jim (2/5): - Walls we damaged, room had no chairs, bathroom had only cold water, no outside door matt so leaves grass and water were tracked all through the room. Buffett food was seriously depleted including bread eggs and other foods. Only enough eggs left for a tiny helping. I had to make 3 trips just to get an assortment of 4 items. Severely under staffed. All tables had dirty dishes stacked on them . Picking up dirty dishes didn’t happened until we were ready to leave.
Checking staff was rude.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Rooms very clean, staff and restaurant were awesome!
- Lorenzo (8/5): - Nice property. Room was clean, quiet, and spacious. Could have used some chairs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - They greeted us with a refreshing beverage while we were still standing at the reception desk checking in. They were informative. The property is beautiful in its layout and landscaping. Wonderful breakfast included. Wish we could've stayed longer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - very nice staff, great location, nice rooms, excellent breakfast.
- Ronald (8/5): - Good views, comfortable room, helpful staff, nice pool and jacuzzi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value for money hotel - with some downsides - Fine hotel with friendly staff. Nice pool area with heated jacuzzi. Only downsides were very poor wifi connection and a very noisy refrigerator in our room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The rooms were very nice and spacious and exactly like the pictures. Wonderful staff, great food, beautiful location and view of the Volcano. Quiet area. Only thing, suggestion to add sitting inside the rooms, they only had the beds and bar stools.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great apartment. Clean-comfortable-quiet. Terrific environment. Great view.
- Joann (10/5): Wonderful place with a beautiful view! - Great views, quiet individual bungalows with wonderful front porches for listening to the many birds or to enjoy morning coffee. The rooms are clean, roomy and comfortable and the free breakfast buffet was great! The grounds are beautiful and the volcano view is TDF. We took a chance, because websites sometimes publish their one good view but you don’t know what is really surrounding it. This place is a gem all the way around. BTW, the room with the volcano view on the website is unit #10, and VERY reasonably priced!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is above and beyond of what we expected. Service was fantastic. Grounds beautifully kept, a paradise!
Pools and hot tub were perfect. Room cozy, clean, comfortable and the best view of Vocano Arenal! Large windows facing the volcano was astonishing!
The breakfast buffet was just delicious and abundant in food variety! Overall this is an impresive place to stay on youur vacation!
