- furymoo (4/5): Manager to staff all have attitude issue , canceld my stay credit without my consent. - Booked with my wife name on reservation with a confirmed night award upgrade certificate on one of the suite with lounge access, due to my flight cancellation I could not make it to the property for the 2 night stay. We completely understand the fact they're not able extend my Titanium benefit to guests on reservation . But the on site manager Natalie Zhou insisted on refusing the lounge access which should already be part of the suite room rate that we've paid for and confirmed from the certificate , this absolutely nothing has nothing to do with Titanium benefit. When we requested a housekeeping at night , the housekeeper on scene made unnecessary remark while requesting to make the bed she proceeded smirked on her face and said " why bother , you're going to sleep on it anyways for the night" outright in my wife's face. This is just absolutely horror for them to say this. Worst of all , during the check out , the manager Natalie Zhou cancelled my stay and moved / charges stay to my wife account , without my consent . I have booked and confirmed the room , I would think the account holder deserves the right to earn the stay credit and not to just cancelled the stay. We've stayed many marriott properties in China, this by far is the worst. The onsite manger contiunusly requesting that I need to call in while I stranded on remote destionation with cancelled flight. Just to be clear, before the arrival I have chatted the property numerious time that I have told them my wife will be checking in , and gave them the heads up prior to confirm her name both in english and chinese name on the reservation and not just random person.

Staffs are attentive to my needs. - I am writing to report a very concerning and unacceptable incident that occurred at your hotel on the night of Tuesday, 28th May, at approximately 11:00 PM or shortly thereafter. While I was attempting to use the guest elevators, I was approached and followed into the lift by an individual who I believe was not a registered guest and was present for illicit purposes. This person was a lady dressed in a black formal shirt. She did not press the lift button to call the elevator, nor did she select a floor upon entering the lift with me. Once inside, she proceeded to offer me illegal massage services. This experience was deeply shocking and unsettling. I chose to stay at/visit a Renaissance hotel expecting a high standard of safety, security, and professionalism. To encounter an individual soliciting illegal services within the hotel, and specifically in an area like the guest elevators which should be secure, is completely unacceptable and raises serious questions about the hotel's security measures and vigilance. This incident has significantly impacted my perception of your hotel and the safety it affords its guests. I am extremely disappointed that such an occurrence could happen at an establishment of your reputation. I urge you to: Investigate this incident thoroughly. Review and significantly enhance your security protocols to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing guest floors and soliciting guests. Ensure the safety and well-being of your guests is treated as the utmost priority. I trust you will take this matter with the seriousness it warrants and implement immediate corrective actions. I would appreciate being informed of how you intend to address this issue to prevent future occurrences.

It was a short 8 mins walk to food and Caohejing in City, a swanky mall where u can get your shopping done. The 12 mins walk to the subway station is also a pleasant one. The hotel is just next to Tencent.

Rooms were nice, all facilities very clean but the stand out were the staff. Not only were they very visible and polite but spoke very good English for what is not central Shanghai and were extremely helpful. Pillows were too soft but that is personal taste.

- Mr-Patric (8/5): Business travel - This is a very good hotel, I don't have a single bad experience. Its clean and in very good shape, all personnel are very friendly and helpful. The hotel have several restaurants and they all are above average and affordable.. The fitness area is also really good for a hotel. This will be my goto hotel for future visits in Shanghai.
- Esmail (9/5): Thanks - The staff are very friendly and helpful, restaurants and shops are about 10 minutes away and taxis are easy to find. The only problem is the air conditioning; the maximum cooling temperature is 23 °C. I asked the hotel to decrease the temperature to 19 degrees C, but it cannot be achieved and air conditioning controller is ineffective. Therefore, I did not enjoy sleeping well for two nights. Overall, it was a great experience.

However, I forgot something in my room, when I come back to ask for it, they need to check for a bit long time. It will be good if they can help customer to check if anything forgot. Room decoration and arrangement pretty good. Breakfast is very dynamic and change menu time to time. Metro 12 station just 100 meter far away very easy to reach city center.

Pros: - Rooms: Clean and spacious - Staff: Courteous, a bit of language barrier but good - Executive Lounge: Good options for food and beverage every night - Breakfast: The breakfast included for premier members was very good - Gym: Has everything you need to get a good work out in - Location: Next to a subway line so you can get everywhere you need to go Cons: - Room service: Took 40+ minutes for a salad to get delivered to the room - Location: it's in the middle of a huge office park so there is nothing to do in the area after work. My office in Shanghai is in this area so I will be back, but if you're in China for tourism, I would look at some other locations.
