Guest Reviews
- Leslie (10/5): - The property includes beach area.
- Angelo (6/5): - The locations was good, the sunsets were amazing. But resort is very tired and run down. The room had major issues. The TV was old and the picture was horrible. The phone didn't work. The food in the restaurant was cold, until I requested it be warmed up. The reason for the 3 rating instead of lower was it's only a 3 star hotel
- urciscio ulysis (10/5): - Near bye the beach
- urciscio ulysis (8/5): - Near bye the beach
- urciscio ulysis (10/5): - Close bye the beach
- urciscio ulysis (10/5): - Near bye the beach

- Fritzie (6/5): - AC not working properly, the whole night light was on coz switch was not working
- Jessie June (8/5): - It was okay.
- Andy (10/5): - They really take care of me and let's me relax and the food is great. Pool water is clean and the ocean view is nice. Outside breakfast in the morning perfect time. When i return to the Philippines I will stay at apple 🍎 tree again and again .
- Glenn (6/5): - The stay at apple tree resort was ok but the bottom of the pool was slimy the food was only catered for Filipinos the biggest problem was getting ripped off by HOTELS.COM which is an American company making promises thay dond keep there SCAMERS thay messed up the booking and promised a refund when we got back ,you can ges the rest ( lies )
- Terry (8/5): Total enjoyment. - We were very happy with everything and the staff are also very good.
- Mike (8/5): Great pool, staff and location.Rooms need updates - First the staff are amazing. good food too. Pool area is beautiful. Beach out front a nice swim. Watch for glass etc on this beach, I had my heel cut while looking for shells for my daughter. But guard helped me and then pool attendant cleaned and bandaged my foot. Lanai room on ground floor very tired furniture with broken frame on sliding door, ants galore. If ww stay again we will ask to have renovated room. We purchased two rooms the extra for family guests. They were on second floor and say there were not ants in the room.
- Antonio (8/5): - Everything was good.
Room a little dated .
Service and staff very good and friendly.
Just a bit far out of town .
Still a good place to stay
- michelle (10/5): - peaceful and quiet place to stay. friendly staff.
good resto around
- Tony (4/5): - It was in a bad area.
- SIMON STEVE (10/5): - Great choice
- Richard (6/5): - Overpriced for what you get
- Andrea Justine (4/5): - When i booked i didn't know that it's in the 3rd floor. I have my child with me and no elevator
- Earl (6/5): - There was renovations on on of the structures. No problem there and I understand that. The towels were mildew and smelled like it. Sorry, I hate to give unpleasant reviews but I have to tell the truth.
- Elvis (10/5): Satisfied customer - Best place to stay in CDO
- Camcer (8/5): - Clean, safe for kids and well-maintained swimming pool. Also, the perimeter beach area is well-guarded. The buffet breakfast was splendid.
- Grace Hallasgo (6/5): Confusion about number of guests! - Very good place to stay. My biggest gripe is that we had to pay extra for a bed that wasn’t used as the room already had a single and a twin, which accommodates 3 and then a mattress for the 4th person. Which was our party of 4, but we were forced to get another mattress for an invisible guest. This needs to be clarified between the host and hotels.com as it makes things awkward when checking in. Please do better!
- Matt donnie (8/5): - Excellent wanna go
Back to stay
- Roger (10/5): - I love this place, and i really like the staff. Its one of the nicest places in Mindinao. It offers a beach, pool, and resturaunt. Great for kids. And convenient to go to Airport early or late.
- Roger (10/5): - Having a beach and pool at a fair price was great
- Glen (10/5): This is always an excellent place to stay - This is always an excellent place to stay, and I highly recommend it
- Ryan (8/5): - I like the complementary eat all you can breakfast. it was nice. Good Job.
- Merian Abigail (2/5): NEED A NEW SYSTEM UPGRADE! - I booked 1night for my sister and her family for my nephew birthday. I booked Deluxe Superior Room for 2adults and 1 kid sharing with free breakfast. Unfortunately the FD charge my sister 500pesos as they have been told that only 2 adults have been included in the booking so the kid will be an extra person and they should pay for his stay.
I did manage to speak to the FD thru fb messenger but still they insisted they have different confirmation compare to what i sent to my sister.
With more frustration arised i did contact the hotel.com CS for few times and promised me to sort things out as they said they have to speak to their Manager. My sister checked out with out the refund.
I have been a Silver Member of Hotels.com and for how many years this is the first time that had happened to us. 500pesos is a big deal back home.not only that. The hotel doesnt allowed any food from outside but they don’t have any COKE available in their property.
It’s really frustrating as I love their location and the pool. Sad to say the hotel should do a little bit of updates.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room is good right next to the pool. The beach is aso clean. Breakfast is just fair for the price.
- Jewuel (10/5): - Very relaxing.
- Vanissa Grace (2/5): Not a happy stay! - Lots of ants in the room. Sliding door lock doesn’t hold up the way it is suppose to be, restaurant waiter doesn’t entertain you unless you will wave to them for taking orders & when checking out.
- patrick (10/5): Apple tree family hotel and couple s - Apple trees. Great pools beach close by. The internet lets this hotel down. All hotels in the ph need to spend more money on the internet in there hotel. 9 out 10 people agree with me I love the Philippines
- Verified traveler (4/5): - corkage was charged even for a small amount of food
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was an ambiance of real hospitality
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Extremely noisy. Hour room was flooded by a storm and all they did was to dry the floor wit towels. We slept wit a soaking wet room. At midnight I woke up and saw several cockroaches the size of my thumb in the bathroom. In ternet was not working. Next day, we came back at night and the room had not been serviced. They told us that we had to let them know if we wanted it serviced. That is, thy do nit clean th room unless you explicitly ask for it. Anyway, I could keep going ...
- Irish (4/5): - Old rooms and bathrooms. Needs renovation. Towels are worn out and discolored. But testaurant is ok. Breakfast was ok too as well as the pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The pool is nice, but there was very loud music playing that went past 9 pm, when the pool closes. The restaurant buffet was not bad. The wifi was horrible and had to camp out under the router down the hall, in the heat, to use it. There was no hot water and the shower was nothing but a dribble. Not a usable shower at all. The staff at the front desk were lovely ladies, but for the price I paid, the Suite we were in was not worth the price (CAD $148).
- jan (8/5): - I like it much exept the breakfast not good else really Nice pool and near the Beach 3e time here now
- patrick (10/5): great stay - rooms great pool great sea close by, wifi is the problem they need boosters on heach floor as its hit and miss sadly
- patrick (10/5): great hotel - it was great kids loved the pool sea close by
- Ann (8/5): - The pool is nice but the rooms need renovation! Buffet breakfast is so so!
- Verified traveler (6/5): So So place - Everything was just ok,food was ok room ok.There wee events going on so it makes it overcrowded probably would try elsewhere
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I felt very safe with security by the beach . Breakfast was amazing . The pool is clean . Great staff .
- Verified traveler (4/5): - the beach is dirty, there's a cockroach flying in our room that night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall good stay - Beautiful area on the beach. Place is old, and it shows, but the kids enjoyed the pool. A lot of rules, they don't want you to go elsewhere for food or drink, but at least their food is good. Overall an enjoyable stay.
- Marissa (8/5): Fair Hotel - Need a little upgrade especially the air conditioner was so loud! Saw some ants ! The pool was clean! The bed was ok!
- patrick (10/5): apple tree a great hotel - my room was tidy clean air cone was great tv was great kids pool safe shallow, pool party was great too,,, we enjoyed this hotel
- Annie (10/5): - I love Apple Tree resort & hotel; the beach location & close proximity to my favorite restaurant Panagatan! The price is reasonable, the only inconvenience is the unavailable laundry service. The staff r super friendly & accommodating.
I will come & stay at Apple Tree again whenI came back for vacation.
- MR ROBERT LABADAN (8/5): nice place - a good place to stay good food and nice ambiance
- Peter (4/5): Dated resort in need of major overhaul - The resort is very tired and dated, its in need of a major refurbishment, the first room we were given was so bad I refused it, the balcony bannister was rotten and very dangerous, the a/c unit was falling apart and very noisy.
The 2nd room we were given was better, but below the first room, and when they started replacing the bannister all the dirt, dust and timber fell onto out balcony.
there was no remote control for the tv, the wifi was so poor it only worked in a couple of areas.
The food was great the first night, but because of a wedding at the venue the food the last night was slow to arrive, the food was tasteless, the customer care was invisible.
Every time I asked to see the manager I was told there was no manager on site
- Peter (4/5): Disappointed. - First room was dirty, the bathroom tap was hanging off, the toilet roll holder was broken, the shower drain was blocked.
The second room was a little cleaner, NO telephone in the room,
The staff did their best. The hotel looks nice but need investment. 2 star at best.
- Marlito (4/5): Dissappointed - Staff were not very friendly and accomodating especially in the reception.
And i have some issue during check in.
Even staff were not polite and very unprofessional!! Worst experience ever!!
- Wol (6/5): visitors from USA - The front was very accommodating checked us in early, room service was excellent , the kids loved the pool & the-beach. Free buffet breakfast is a ++++.. The only problem we have was the bathroom was so smelly shower curtains dirty, towels so old with holes. Bed was comfortable but didn't expect multiple bug bites in my back. Those issues needs to be improve otherwise my kids loved the place.
- Kabir (2/5): Old hotel, nice by the beech. - Stay this hotel overall not value for money. Very poor quality service.
- Gerald (8/5): A pretty good stay- great hospitality- busy pool - A pretty good stay. The resort staff was excellent and courteous from the front deak to the restaurant servers. Kind of isolated but has a pretty decent pool, beach access, a good restaurant with excellent service. They host a lot of functions though and offer swimming to the public so can be quite busy at times. Taxi to CDO runs 150-180 php depending on traffic. We had a 2 room suite with a balcony so was quite roomy with furniture and flat screens TV. A refrigerator and a sink and counter. Bathroom has a shower and a separate bath tub. We would stay again buy enjoyed the Luxe in CDO better due to its newer facilities and closer proximity to malls and restaurants.
