Guest Reviews
- bina (9/5): Good - Nice safe place Everything is good
- Tracey (9/5): - Cosy friendly Traffic noise
- Harper (8/5): Friendly atmosphere ,nice pub in good location - Good little pub
Nice location Parking
- Sheenah (8/5): Lovely quirky little hotel - Staff super friendly, bed comfortable and very clean Quirky, but door frames very low so not ideal for 2 relatively tall people! Kept banging heads!
- Valhag (7/5): -
- David (7/5): Pleased it was only one night. - Good river views. Despite parking being included in the list of amenities in your advert. It was only on busy, narrow roads nearby. Fortunately we do not gave a large car, but we we're not happy about leaving our much loved little two seater in such a precarious spot after circling the block twice to eventually find a spot as we usually only use premises with on site parking.
The thread bare carpet and broken window blind did not immediately make are stay feel good. Nothing like the photo on Booking.com.
- Teresa (9/5): Great little find in Sunbury ! - Breakfast was great if you want cooked, a good choice on the menu ! Would be nice to have a fruit choice ! Lovely bar with friendly staff and also a good choice of food from the bar menu! Our room was spacious and bed was clean and very comfortable! We had a back room so was quiet ! Two minor things . The sink was blocked a little in our bathroom and the shower hook was loose ! We did report on leaving so hopefully this will get fixed
- Richard (8/5): Well pleased - Friendly and efficient Very steep stairs up to room 1
- alison (9/5): -
- alison (9/5): -
- Paul (8/5): - Very friendly staff Breakfast first day egg and bacon very overdone
The second the day the beans was cold and I mean cold
- Antony (9/5): Great little hotel in attractive location - Quiet, pleasant location but in easy reach of transport links. Clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast very tasty and good choice on menu. Could not get blind to open, would have liked to look out of the window at the river views.
- Keith (9/5): Lovely stay, amazing building & friendly staff - Lovely old building, breakfast was excellent, and staff were very nice. The bed felt like it was tilted downwards towards head of bed, possibly due to tilt of floor as old building. Minor criticism, as everything else was excellent!
- Emma (7/5): Nice and small getaway by the river - Nice pub and friendly staff with a great breakfast. Beautiful view on the river and surroundings and rooms with compfy bed The rooms felt used and a fresh up is needed.
As guests in the hotel pub, a discount on food in the restaurant would be appreciated.
Food was nice but small portions for the price
- christopher (8/5): A perfect place to start a great weekend - Great location for Twickenham and Rugby, great room plenty of space and a good quality breakfast to start the day. Room do get warm but thats life, windows open and a cool breeze works well, Expresso Coffee machine's are great but no cups to fit under them but only a minor hiccup.
- Gillian (8/5): Lovely stay in a lovely location. - Lovely little pub. Great location. Comfy and clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great breakfast. Lovely river and walled garden just a 5 minute walk away. Window maybe needs better glazing as you can hear traffic noise.
- James (10/5): -
- Zachary (3/5): - No parking facilities
- Michelle (8/5): It was very nice and local to the event - It was warm and comfortable The pillows were a uncomfortable
- Paul (10/5): Brilliant warm greeting and very helpful staff throughout our stay , breakfast delicious - Location and quality finished They provided a fan which was much appreciated, they may not be able to fit air con due to it being a listed building
- Alistair (7/5): Good value pub with rooms, ideal for Kempton Park - Classic "pub with rooms", bedroom and bathroom were clean, good facilities. Enjoyed a pizza in the pub in the evening, and very good full English breakfast. Good location for a meeting at Kempton Park (5 mins) The room was very warm, and the fan in the room was too noisy to use. I opened the window but I was at the front and it was a surprisingly busy road from 5am with lots of road noise.

- James (10/5): Comfy room, value, great breakfast - Great value N/A
- Tina (9/5): -
- Leah (8/5): -
- Emer (9/5): Lovely locatio - Food was great value for money with a lovely warm atmosphere from staff. Very helpful and friendly and dinner and breakfast were excellent. It is a boutique hotel so sash windows etc, small steps in and out of rooms and narrow stairs but that's the makeup of the building so it is what it is but will definitely be back.
- Daniel (9/5): -
- TREVOR (9/5): This is a wonderful place to stay. I walked down to the river many times. You have to visit this place. The staff are am - It was perfect for our stay We loved every minute of our stay
- Ian (7/5): All in all, the Flower Pot offers good value for money - Room was good, beds were most comfortable but the showerroom was cozy.
Dinner was excellent, chicken Kiev and home made vegetable pizza
The girls were cheerful and helpful It would have been good to have been offered at breakfast some cereals, juices and jams for toast
- Julie (9/5): -
- Joss (9/5): - Staff were exemplary for a late check in. Thanks to the lady who checked me in late.
- claire (10/5): Great stay and value for money - Booking com Nothing
- Boris Lef (8/5): - Hôtel propre avec un petit pub dedans. Pas trop bruyant. Ras
- Ingrid (9/5): -
- alan (8/5): -
- Ossanna (8/5): - Mycket trevlig personal! Sängen var obekväm.
- john (10/5): -
- Dean (10/5): - The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The bed was too soft for me but that is my personal preference.
- Joseph (9/5): -
- Mike (8/5): Ok stay - Room price Nothing negative

- Shane (9/5): - Perfect location for the horse racing. Nice breakfast.
- colin (9/5): Great stay will do again - Breakfast was very good staff very welcoming and friendly mr quigley from Kilkenny
- John (9/5): Excellent. - The location was great The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately it’s served at 8am on the Monday and we had to go work so had to miss it. On Tuesday it’s served at 7am. When we could have it and it was excellent. Could you please make it 7am on all weekdays .
- Alison (10/5): Will stay again - Staff were very friendly and helpful
- Andrew Taylor (10/5): - Pleasant to be overlooking the river Not bad with the car parking, just managed to secure a parking
- Jennifer (7/5): Pleasant, different and a little less feeling like a hotel. - Very friendly little place, I loved the room with the bath. Only criticism is, I felt the room was a little cold and that the one radiator in the room was not adequate enough the time I stayed. Breakfast was excellent. The room could have been warmer for sure, I was really quite cold.
- Jim (10/5): - Location
- Steven (7/5): Pleasant stay - Friendly place, reasonable evening meal, excellent breakfast (if you like the full English etc). On arrival, I was asked for my card details for security, when I had already paid. Not sure I understood why this was necessary, when presumably they had already been paid through Booking.com. Not the first thing you want to do when you arrive tired etc. The room was basic but fine. The lamp by my bed couldn't be plugged in anywhere near, there were small issues with soap dispenser by the sink and with the shower height adjuster.
- Diana (8/5): -
- Rob (9/5): -
- Kirsty (10/5): Enjoyable 4 night stay for work - Very friendly and accommodating staff , Colin was especially helpful at breakfast and the girls on the bar in the evening. Shower head wouldn’t stay upright and tap wobbly,
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Mark (7/5): -
- Minna (10/5): Laadukasta majoittumista englantilaisessa kylämiljöössä - Tilava, siisti, kauniisti sisustettu huone. Myös alakerran ravintola erittäin viihtyisä ja ruoka herkullista. Sijainti viehättävä. Henkilökunta erittäin ystävällistä.
- maria luisa (6/5): -
- Dave (9/5): -
- Paul (7/5): -
- James (8/5): Affordable and comfortable - A reasonably priced room in a good location. The room was comfortable and clean however some attention needed to paintwork and holes above the window. Breakfast was ok. Food wasn't great for the evening meal, presented well but tasteless
- Trevor (8/5): Nice accommodation in historic pub with friendly professional staff. - Lovely old pub with comfortable accommodation.
Great breakfast and good beer! The property is on a small but busy road so a little noisy in the morning if you are planning on laying in.
Minor defects like window blind not working.
- Hynds (9/5): First class, would stay again! - The room was superb! I had an evening meal (pie of the day) and a full breakfast and both were excellent!
As well as very nice beer too!
Nice pub, with a nice atmosphere and a very nice comfy room! Its said 'free parking' on booking.com, but it was actually only roadside parking. Albeit still free, but very misleading, and I was lucky to get a space nearby.
- Hilary (10/5): -
- Si Biggs (10/5): - A great location, great staff and amazing food...both Dinner (best Sea Bass I have ever tasted) and Breakfast.
Real value for money...I will be back soon!
- Fabio (7/5): - Come al solito il posto e l’atmosfera in specie la sera..spero rimanga così.. Da rinnovare in alcuni dettagli
- christopher (8/5): - Great staff, warm welcome and a very comfy bed No issues
- Fabio (8/5): Ottimo Colin e staff - Al solito atmosfera di relax e tranquillità Quello che magari non va,lo stanno riparando
- Paul (10/5): - Great breakfast Na
- Antonia (9/5): very comfrotable with great food - the pub itself was very nice indeed. really excellent food, with huge portions! Went to bed fully satisfied. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would love to stay here in the summer. the location for my purpose was perfect. We will definitely be back. have been meaning to stay here for a while and it didnt dissapoint
- Niall (9/5): - Colin, I think , the gentleman there, for breakfast, was great. I need an ambulance due to a gallbladder issue that occurred out of nowhere.
He called 999 and assisted me until I was safely loaded into the ambulance.
Many thanks
- Fabio (7/5): All great including the manager Colin - Sempre la stessa atmosfera, fascino e discrezione E’in rifacimento,e aggiusteranno pure le camere, bisogna pazientare
- Luke (9/5): Extremely good value for money. Rustic hotel so don't expect poshness. Will be returning - Breakfast v good. Room was quaint and in keeping with the expected format Wifi wasn't great. Room did have faulty radiators (But they added a standalone heater before)
- Daniel (8/5): Great location, nice room and friendly staff. - Comfortable room and great for the one night stay after attending a family party locally (at the Magpie Pub down the road).
Staff at reception both days were friendly and efficient. We did not stay for dinner or breakfast but the biscuits and coffee provided in the room were good. These are very minor niggles but added just for feedback (nothing that affecting my enjoyment of the stay or whether I would come back again):
It's an older building and that gives the character and charm but also can mean it creaks a bit more as people move about when you are in bed. The coffee machine made decent coffee but very wobbly on a box rather than table, it also overfilled the cup so you have to watch and unplug to stop it. Our room was over the kitchen and from quite early they seemed have a their own disco going on so we could hear the music (and possibly some dodgy singing !).
- Christopher (9/5): - I liked the room - top floor, the bed and bathroom were comfortable and clean.
Everything was I think of a good standard considering the price.
Staff were friendly. I think the breakfast was of good variation and all pleasant. Only minor complaint would be that it wasn’t hot when it came out. Coffee was a bit average.
- ashley (9/5): Highly recommended due to the excellent pub and food - A lovely pub on the Thames, room was a decent size, comfy bed with nice bedding. The bar downstairs was the highlight, lovely staff who are super friendly. A good selection of drinks and food which was good quality. A great atmosphere too. Definitely worth a visit. Bathrooms about ready for upgrade, rear entrance to accommodation could do with a tidy up of cigarette buts.
- Bernie (8/5): -
- Christine (8/5): -
- Kanika (9/5): -
- Shawn (10/5): Ideal traditional inn/pub for short or long stay and remote work. - The inn is out of a story book. Cozy, old fashioned and authentic. Every room has its own character and the pub downstairs is charming to the fullest. Right down to the crackling fireplace.
The food is excellent and all staff will make sure you're well attended to. Honestly, they make you feel right at home. Colin takes your comfort very seriously, yet is friendly and welcoming. I would go back anytime.

- Barbera (7/5): - Fantastic breakfast. Loved the location and the overall feel of the Hotel. Room was spacious with a great bathroom. No Airconditioning. Very warm at night
The fatty cooking smell from the kitchen
- Andrew (8/5): Good stay if in the area - Good pub accommodation.Very clean. No parking
- Andy (10/5): -
- Lesley Anne (9/5): Friendly, attentive staff. Food was good and the environment was cosy and clean. - The Flowerpot offered a very good breakfast menu with lots of different options. The room was comfortable but the toilet flush may need attention and the tap was loose. We stayed for dinner and it was superb with an excellent menu to choose from. We travelled down by car the parking was an issue as the Flowerpot does not have onsite parking.
- Mark (7/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Warm and friendly stay, great breakfast - Big breakfast Room 4 sink sprayed water when turned on
- Sarah (3/5): Disappointing Stay - Fairly close proximity to Heathrow airport for my flight the next day. Dislike airport hotels, therefore booked here for convenience.
Lovely, freshly cooked breakfast. I booked the lovely room with the roll top bath, sadly, I went to the loo and discovered it had not been cleaned properly, I'll leave it at that! The room I was moved to was a much smaller, cheaper room with a tiny shower and on the main road. The traffic noise was constant and very obtrusive. If you need a decent night's sleep before a long haul flight, avoid!
The bed was also very uncomfortable, much too soft for me, however, that's personal preference.
