- Nina (10/5): Great place to stay - 3 night stay B&B
Family owned business - very attentive
Nothing was too much trouble
Breakfast was superb and they catered for your every need
The reason I gave 4 stars for comfort was the bed was a little firmer than I am used to but I did sleep well
Lovely view from the front of the hotel
- Louise (10/5): - We received a warm welcome and staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We loved our room over looking the sea, very clean and comfortable. A good home cooked breakfast too. We will certainly return.

- Martin (10/5): - The sea views
- Liz (10/5): - Excellent value for money, booked last minute for a work trip, my husband joined at the last minute and they were really helpful. He also can’t have wheat, gluten or cows milk. This was a problem and they catered for him better than most places we visit.
All the staff were fabulous however, the young lady that did breakfast duty was exceptional, helpful, friendly remembered everything about us a credit to the hotel.
My only slight criticism would be the beds and pillows were extremely hard but the service at the hotel made up for this. Highly recommend.
- Kenneth (10/5): - Ian and Anna were very helpful friendly and willing to make suggestions
- youheng (10/5): - What a fantastic stay!
The hotel is beachfront with splendid views of the bay and with easy parking. Breakfast was generous and tasty with real fruit juice, assorted fruits, cereals, buns and of course traditional welsh breakfast and toast.
It is also walking distance to criccieth castle and the black sands beach, two wonderful attractions.
The cleanliness of the room was top notch as were the provided amenities. The owner was also very friendly and even lent me his personal waterproof jacket to allow me to climb Snowdon with confidence as I had accidentally left my poncho elsewhere.
This hotel is an absolute gem and is extremely well priced. I will be looking forward to staying here the next time.
- William (10/5): Great little hotel in a beautiful place - Nice friendly atmosphere and Check-in wonderful view from the room, thank you for a great stay
- William (8/5): Comfortable and a great sea view - Set above the sea, it’s worth having a room with a view.
The room was a bit small for two and a slightly larger one was available.
Good breakfast and nice staff
- Jacob (10/5): Great view, amazing food - This is a beautiful hotel with one of the best views of Cardigan Bay and Criccieth Castle that I have seen. But the best part of all was the food. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious. We also paid for dinner at the hotel, and it was incredible. We highly recommend this hotel!

- Darren (10/5): - It’s exactly what it advertises to be, clean room basic but absolutely fine bathroom, very good bed (stated king size but think it was super king). Lovely breakfast and would be the first place to call if I was staying in that area again.

- RJ (10/5): Brilliant Hotel Stay. - The proprietors and staff at this hotel make you really welcome. The rooms are clean as is the rest of the hotel. Parking is free and off road.
The location of the hotel is ideally situated for a short walk into Criccieth. Access to the Coastal walk is easy and was perfect for our walking weekend break.
The breakfasts are superb with a choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and fruit juices to start and then a selection of freshly cooked to order meals. Coffee or tea and decaffeinated also available. Toast to order. That sets you up for the day!
We had two evening meals which were absolutely fantastic. There was a good choice of starters and main courses, especially fresh fish dishes. The portions are generous and the meals are served piping hot, freshly prepared to order and cooked to perfection. The menu is a set price of £20 for a starter and main. Desserts (if you have room left) are about a fiver. These delicious meals are incredibly good value. They surpass any meals we have had out (local to our home in Shropshire) for quality and price.
Our three night stay was extremely enjoyable, we would gladly stay there again. It is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in for quite some time.
- stephen (10/5): Plas Isa Hotel - A lovely clean with great food. We had a sea view room that was great.
- Mark (10/5): Nice place on Wales Coast Path - Lovely clean place with good access to Wales Coastal Path. The innkeepers are friendly, and we chose to book two of our evening meals in the restaurant. Food was high quality and a good value.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent small family run hotel in a very nice seaside village.
- Joe (10/5): - Lovely stay! Ask the woman at the front desk to show you her photo’s. She’s brilliant! Also say hi to the dog.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everyone was so welcoming and warm, the view from the bedroom was wonderful, definitely as advertised a sea view, and views of Criccieth Castle. Bed was super comfortable, and everything was so spotlessly clean. There are stairs to negotiate but well worth the effort.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family hotel near the sea! - We had a lovely long weekend at this pleasant hotel over looking the sea - breakfasts were fab - friendly staff and the owners were great!
- Michele (10/5): Excellent hotel - Fabulous location - Fabulous family run hotel. Excellent customer service, very warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend
- Verified traveler (10/5): Plas Isa Hotel - We had a lovrly short stay at Plas Isa Hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, tidy and comfy. The breakfast wad excellent. I would recommend it to anyone
- Verified traveler (8/5): - On arrival there. It was easy to park. and at first their was no one on reception. having entered my room. it was a lovely room. but smallish. it had everything I needed,
my stay was pleasant, The only thing that put me off staying there was No where to eat much. most of the restaurants where fully booked, plus the seaside was not good,
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely clean hotel with excellent views of the sea and castle. Less than 5min walk to beach and all town amenities. Staff very friendly and polite and all Covid safety measures in place
- Jen (10/5): A fantastic hotel in a great location - Our stay at Plas Isa was wonderful. We needed to extend our holiday while our car was being repaired and Ian and Anna turned what could have been a hassle into a bonus holiday. They were really helpful, it's a great hotel a few minutes from the beach (and from Dylan's restaurant and just a few more Cadwalladers ice cream shop - both excellent too!). The hotel breakfast was delicious and Criccieth might just be the best place in the world to get stuck for a few days. Totally recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely place and views , great food and staff where great
- Paul (10/5): A week on the Wales Coast Path - Couldn't fault it. Anna, Ian and their team did everything to make my 1 week stay an absolute pleasure, and Anna's evening meal is something not to be missed - sorry Ian, your breakfast was good too! With easy access to public transport, Plas Isa is well placed for the Llyn Peninsular Coastal Path, and the many other attractions of the area. Thoroughly recommended.
- Sue (10/5): Room with a sea view - We had a lovely stay at the Plas Isa Hotel. The room was very comfortable and had a sea view, which was great to wake up to in a morning. There was tea & coffee making facilities in the room and biscuits. We had dinner at the hotel both nights that we stayed and the food was excellent as was the service. We had a very enjoyable stay, would recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay in Criccieth. - From the friendly and efficient check in to the delicious breakfasts, we highly recommend Plas Isa. The owner also prepares evening meals to order and we ate there last night before watching the England match. Delicious home cooking- thank you.
- Darren (10/5): Welcoming place - Anna and Ian were excellent hosts and made me feel welcomed. It was great to have a bar and lounge to relax in too. They even got me salted peanuts when I asked for them even though they didn’t have them behind the bar. What great service!
The breakfast was high quality too and they even accommodated me when I wanted breakfast before 8am.
- Jason (10/5): Lovely stay in picturesque Criccieth - A lovely stay over the bank holiday weekend. Stunning views of the Criccieth beach front and a good launch point for exploring Lyn peninsula and rest of Gwyneth.
Anne & Ian make you feel at home and serve up a great breakfast too.
- Marie (10/5): Lovely stay - Very clean and I was very impressed with the Covid precautions that were put in place.
The food that was served was delicious, nothing was too much trouble from the staff.
- Steve (10/5): - Great B&B spotlessly clean, great location, great food and great value and Very amenable Hostes.
- Doug (8/5): - Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable room, vey good food, easy access to town and facilities.
- Chris (10/5): - Fantastic location very close to the sea, with wonderful views of the beach and sprawling coastline one way and The magnificent Criccieth Castle the other. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean, and the view from our room was amazing (make sure you upgrade to a sea view, it’s so worth it!) the breakfast was really tasty with plenty of choice. This is a really charming lovely place and we will definitely be back!
- Paul (10/5): Friendly and relaxed atmosphere - Very enjoyable break. Our lovely bay window rooms had fantastic views across the sea. Breakfast was very good and well organised and our evening meals were superb. The staff were all very friendly and helped us have a very relaxing break.
- Peter&Diane (10/5): - Very pleasant stay. Everything was clean and spotless. The food was excellent and the hosts were very accommodating and welcoming.

- Alun. (10/5): alun - a nice welcome from anna, very helpful, and the property as in excellent order, would highly reccomend, with wonderful food, and first class restaurant service.
- Dr.G (8/5): - Staff was pleasant. We asked that our room not be cleaned as we were staying only 2 nights but it was (with the towels changed, unnecessarily). We try and save water, etc. by doing this but it looked like our good intentions were not heard. This might sound minor but it is disappointing to us trying to save the planet?!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is a great hotel with amazing views of the sea and castle ruins.
- geoffrey (8/5): - excellent place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful place nice view from hotels bed yes yes yes

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect location, easy to park vehicle with plenty of space, excellent views
- Mohammed (10/5): A spectacular place if u have no problem w/ stairs - The best place that I could have asked for. The staff is incredibly friendly. Went there with my mum so she could see Wales for the first time in her life. We were delighted.
They were very keen to accommodate our vegetarian diet. Even went to another town to surprise us with a vegetarian sausage and burger!
The only down side to the whole thing was that the place in not wheelchair friendly which put a strain on my mum’s knees. However, it was booking.com fault to not highlighting this detail.
- Kristi (10/5): Criccieth - There were 4 of us adults. We had 2 rooms. The owner was super friendly & welcoming. She gave us recommendations for where to eat dinner. Breakfast was delicious and filling. It was nice to have tissues in the bedroom and a bottle of lotion in the bathroom. Beautiful location. Across the street from the ocean.
- Thomas (10/5): July trip - Excellent hotel, very friendly staff. Location good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - lovely clean tidy room, good choice at breakfast staff very friendly.
- David (10/5): - A Great hotel, good food, great location, friendly staff , and clean
- Graham S (8/5): - It was just right for my needs over that weekend's event at the Ffestiniog andWwelsh Highland Rly
- Lynne (8/5): - Clean and tidy typical seaside B&B very friendly staff
- Timothy (6/5): - Rooms very small, should have only been 60 a night instead of 99. towels were tiny, generally the place is ok but not good value for money.
- Trevor (10/5): - Very good.
- stephen (10/5): Great place to stay - Lovely hosts, lovely town, lovely area what more can I say. Will be going again
- Darrei (10/5): A Pleasant Stay at Criccith. - The hotel is conveniently sited near the shopping area of Criccith with views of the sea and castle. The property is very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. Great hosts and would certainly stay again if in the area. There is no lift so this may be a concern to people with mobility issues. On site parking was a bonus. Ensuite bathroom was clean, tidy and provided a good level of amenity.
- Mandy (8/5): Nice hotel overlooking the sea and castle. - The food served was of excellent quality. It was always prepared fresh and cooked to your requirements. It would be nice if the hosts could order some good weather, only joking. We would return when next in Wales.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel in good location - Nice hotel in good location to tour the Llyn peninsular
- Robert (10/5): - Feel-good environment all around. The place has real charm.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel, close to beach - Lovely hotel, friendly staff, clean and a superb breakfast...room a bit small for the money but did the job. Beds and pillows on the hard side, but that just goes down to preference rather than criticism
- Gill (10/5): - Lovely traditional style hotel in a fabulous position with direct sea views. We only stayed one night on a b&b basis as we were going to the festival at Portmeirion that evening. Our room was clean, warm and comfortable with plenty of storage space, comfortable bed, tea & coffee facilities and a clean bathroom with shower over bath, also plenty of toiletries provided.
Anna was really helpful beforehand-allowing us to check in early. When we arrived we struggled to find a way to get to the festival. Anna and Ian bent over backwards to help us get there and even gave us a complimentary bottle of water each on our way out to save us money at the festival! Thanks again for that!
We had a good nights sleep. Only slight criticism would be the cooked breakfast: we are vegetarians and, although we did not pre-book a vegetarian breakfast, we were a bit disappointed with the scrambled egg, toast & beans. We would have liked tsome mushrooms, grilled/fried tomatoes, possibly vegetarian sausages, and a choice of how egg was cooked. Otherwise we had a really great stay and would highly recommend the Plas Isa Hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel close to the beach - Nice hotel and clean, great breakfast.
Could do with thick bedroom curtains.
- Marella (10/5): Well situated - Wonderful sea view and good food. Very nice overnight stay. Comfortable and clean.
- Will (10/5): Comfortable hotel to stay - Very comfortable hotel, lovley Breakfast and helpful as Nd friendly staff
- PAUL (10/5): Room with a view - Three night stay while touring the area - we had the large comfortable twin-bed rooms with great sea-views. Nice evening meal on first night. Delicious breakfast each morning. Friendly and accommodating staff. Would recommend to others and stay again.
- Diane (10/5): - Our room was lovely with fantastic views of the sea and the castle.
We couldn't fault the cleanliness.
Breakfast was good and we had dinner one night which was very good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good stay. Breakfast mediocre though, pink sausauges.
- kim (6/5): Nice view, but very noisy on busy road - We found this place very overpriced for what we got. We paid £110 a night and it was very noisy with traffic from busy road and noisy from creaking floorboards from the gusts upstairs. It was just basic bed and breakfast. Could have got better for the price elsewhere.
- Keith (10/5): Cricceth delight! - Great hotel with friendly staff. We had the sea view room which had an amazing view. Near everything and of course the sea front. Parking good as well. Would recommend :)
- Pauline (8/5): Nice hotel in a lovely area - Hotel basic but rooms comfortable & clean. Didn’t do evening meals although advertised as a restaurant. Bar was dark & no one in it. It wasnt very inviting. Great place for a base. Criccieth was beautiful & best place in the area other than Portmeirion.
- Lenka (8/5): - The hotel was fine, staff accommodating in regards to special requests (vegan foods, information for our day trips). We happened to have terrible weather so our view of Criccieth is a bit tainted by that- not much to do there in bad weather. But the hotel had a nice old aura of a popular early 20th century holiday spot.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good central position great food
- Very pleasant staff outstanding food and good parkind and location. Would highly reccomend.
- christine (10/5): - Convenient to town and restaurants. Good free parking. Comfortable rooms and bed.
