Patricia (10/5): - so we knew we didn’t sign up for the Ritz Carlton, and we knew that this was a Lake George motel, not a five star hotel. And, we were very very pleasantly surprised, with a large spotlessly, clean room, a hard shower, comfy beds, lovely neighbors in neighboring rooms, a sweet swimming pool not on the highway like many are, but down at the water edge, wonderful, lounging spaces, beautiful lounge, and Adirondack chairs, a large deck off the back of the property, with a swim area in the lake, and the loveliest surprise of an elevated deck with chairs, benches, and fire pits! The serenity and the beauty all around us was priceless! Very grateful to the Lake motel’s owner for caring so deeply about this property. Much of it is renovated. The staircases need improvement, and the railings of the upstairs deck need a good paint job. Of course, as others have said, the parking is a nuisance, however, in light of all the other wonderful things about this motel, including the price, we can’t complain.

Kathleen (10/5): - This property gave all the appearances that it had very recently been renovated. The upgraded taken place particularly in the bathrooms. The fixtures, tub, toilet and sink appeared to be very new, bright and spanking clean. The bedroom area was spacious and the bedding was super clean and fresh also very comfortable. The outside facilities could accommodate many families for fun and relaxing on the many deck levels, there were lounges, chairs grills and swimming/boating. This property is conveniently located to walk everywhere in the village. We had a blast and will return again

Deborah (10/5): - Beautiful views at The Lake Hotel. The pool was beautiful with a view of the lake as you swim. Plenty of seating in the pool area. The many fire pits at night was an amazing way to unwind after a busy day. Easily walkable to town. Staff at the hotel were all very nice and helpful.

Christopher (8/5): - Great motel. Has a pool and a dock right on the lake for swimming, kayaks, SUPs. Great views and easy walk to food, shopping. It is a motel, so your door enters out to the parking. Parking is a little jammed in there, but fine unless you’re driving a big rig. Then it might be a little tight. Only issue we had is that our room smelled like cigarette smoke from the previous guests. We couldn’t switch rooms because the place sold out. Hotel staff helped us out with an ionizer and we made the best of it with the windows open since it was July anyway so no big deal in the end. But it’s a good summertime place to crash if you’re in Lake George. Kids really love it and it’s conveniently located. Plus you want a place that has access to the lake like this one.

Philippe (4/5): - Paper thin walls, you could hear everyone and everything in other rooms and outside. The room was also very loud, the dated AC unit in the room prevented us from sleeping all night. Also, the whole room was shaking when someone was walking on the same floor - literally. Overall a very unpleasant stay although the motel is nicely located and offers a fun pool and patio. I would never return.

Erin (8/5): Nice Getaway - We stayed for 3 nights. It was an enjoyable trip. The room was overall good, the bed is on the softer side and isn’t conducive to all bodies. The rooms are also a little small which isn’t a draw back per se but it does feel crowded and cramped by day two. The pool was wonderful. The pool deck, patio and dock areas over the water were the highlights of the hotel. Fire pits at night were a good touch and the staff was super friendly and made sure to light them nightly. The parking situation for this trip in early September, was okay. The spots are small and along the fence so a passenger has to get out before you park, or you just hangout of the space a bit. When there are other larger vehicles there it’s even more difficult park. We were lucky this time of year was less busy, so we always got parking near the room, but i could see how this would be a huge issue in the summer. Be warned the slop from the pool up the hotel is steep so be prepared if your room is not near the pool area. In a great area near all the things and restaurants you’d want to be near. Staff was excellent in all encounters with them and overall i had a lovely time and really enjoyed my days out by the pool and on the lake.

Deborah (10/5): Cozy little gem on Canada Street - We planned a last minute get away to Lake George for the night and decided to stay on the water in the village so we'd have an easy walk to the upper part of the strip. Check in was freindly and straight forward. Lobby had coffee/tea and lots of info on local attractions and places to eat. Rooms must have been recently renovated. They were lovely, neat and pretty comfortable. Though it was a rainy weekend, there were plently of fun spots to visit with views of the lake. From the walk we took out onto the uncovered patios and the dock area, it looks like a great place to enjoy the lake on warmer days and very suitable for all ages. It was a very easy walk to many of the traditional Lake George attractions. Can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

Christopher (6/5): - The property was in a great location. The pool was on the smaller side but had plenty of lounge chairs around it and it wasn’t really busy during my stay. No beach area for sitting so that was a bit of a drawback and the lake area for swimming was roped off and very small but plenty of room for a couple of kids. Kayaks and paddle boards were a huge bonus I thought as they are free and were available to use when we were ready to go out on the lake. The deck was small overlooking the lake but very quaint and the only hotel with a deck that had chairs to enjoy the lake breeze. The rooms were small but did the job- bathroom and shower are roomy I thought- we stayed in an inside room (room 11). Parking was awful !!! Very tight to get in and out of the hotel and no room to turn around but we always had a parking spot. Thursday night they do fireworks on the lake which is really nice- they had an ice cream truck on the property selling ice cream but it was blocking the way to get in and out of the property- we were stuck on the main road at 9:30 pm trying to get to our room which is extremely dangerous and I don’t think the owners should allow the ice cream truck to block patrons from getting in and out of the parking lot. Beds are very uncomfortable- it is just a mattress (thin one) on a wooden noisy platform. Walls are paper thin- we heard the couple next door to us fighting over money- we could hear every word they said- then the next night we heard them having Sex.

Unfortunately, depending on who you get as a neighbor, it could be loud with little consideration if loudness. I'd gi again if I could get a room close to the lake.

John (10/5): Great place - We went to Lake George for a weekend stay and we’re very pleased with the Lake motel. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the room was cute and clean and the facilities are very well-kept. We swam in the pool and the lake, and they allow you to use the kayaks for free as a guest. Will definitely stay here again!
paul (8/5): - Room was clean, comfortable bed. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, great lakeside area to sit with deck and dock right on the water. Nice at night with firepits.
Mark (10/5): - Staff was super friendly and helpful. Pool area was great and lake area was amazing with the fire pits and look out area. My kids enjoyed kayaking everyday. Location perfect for walking downtown.
Christina (10/5): - The location is EVERYTHING! very walkable to restaurants, the beach, activities etc. the property itself doesn’t have a lot of amenities but the staff is super sweet and the outdoor area is right on the lake for fireworks shows. Definitely would stay here again.
