Access to the hotel through the pedestrian zone is permitted at any time. You will receive a parking permit upon check-in. One parking space is available per room (3:00 PM – 11:00 AM). Please note: The gate to the courtyard is closed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Parking spaces within the town are reserved exclusively for residents.
Pets
Dogs are welcome for a fee of €20.00 per night. They are not permitted in the monastery garden or breakfast area.

- Aviv Mizrahi (8/5): - צוות נחמד וארוחת בוקר מפנקת בכל טוב! באמת שהופתענו. רצפת העץ בחדרים חורקת ונמעכת פנימה. מאוד לא נעים. טלוויזה שהיא בעצם מסך מחשב קטן. הזמנו מראש מקומות למסעדה, איך שהתיישבנו, ספרנו 5-6 נמלים ענקיים שמסתובבים על השולחן והתפריטים וגם כמה מעופפים שהחליטו לנוח בתוך כוסות היין. בשלב הזה אשתי כבר לא הייתה מוכנה להישאר במקום וקמנו.

Dass es sich um ein historisches Gebäude handelt, muss einem bewusst sein und trägt auch sehr zum Charme des Hotels bei, aber man muss auch ehrlich sagen, dass die Zimmereinrichtung sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist und wenig Komfort bietet (beginnend bei den Betten...). Leider war es jedoch stickig und heiß im Zimmer (keine Klimaanlage) und die Böden haben sehr geknarzt - daher war es für uns als Familie mit kleinem Baby nicht sehr geeignet.

- Rachelle (8/5): Good enough - The hotel was wonderful and its garden was lovely. Walking distance to the castle ruins. Staff were friendly. The excellent breakfast was probably the highlight. Room is spacious but just fine. The room had a bathrobe but no bedroom slippers. I believe there wasn't a phone either. Price is also quite steep.

It's right next to the blue steeple so I looks beautiful day and night. The patio is stunning, also day and night, the food is fantastic, and the service in the restaurant is wonderful.

- Anthony (10/5): Fantastic choice for staying in Durnstein - The location in Durnstein town was great. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Provided free parking, which otherwise would not have been easy in town. We had a slightly bigger car rental, so had to be a little careful navigating streets and parking. Not a big issue at all, but the one thing that comes to mind. Nothing the hotel can really do about that given the geometry of the town and buildings.

- 320dales (10/5): A real treat - A gorgeous old-fashioned hotel that is like taking a gentle step back in time. The rooms are very comfortable and I loved the dated decor. The hotel is in very good condition and the rooms and bathrooms are in tip-top shape. Do not mistake the old timey decor as shabby or neglected, because it is not! In fact, the bathroom looked newly renovated to me, in an old fashioned way. The service and breakfast is wonderful, as is the restaurant for dinner. Overall, a real treat.

Tolles Ambiente und gemütlich, die Frühstücksräume gaben einem das Gefühl in einer mittelalterlichen Burg zu verweilen. Der Kaffee und das Essen war sehr gut, das Personal sehr nett. Ich hatte ein Zimmer im 2.Stock und dort war die Ausstattung des Zimmers, vom Stil her, schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer besonders das Badezimmer hatte ein bisschen den Flair aus den 1980 Jahren. Aber sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Aussicht war der Hammer!!!

Das Frühstück ist super und das Personal ist sehr freundlich, die Lage des Hotels ist genial und wunderschön über der Donau gelegen mit einem wunderschönen Garten. Beim Frühstück fehlt lediglich ein frisch gepresster Saft und im Zimmer/Suite gibt es keinen Kühlschrank.

Die interessanten Gespräche mit der Chefin des Hauses. Der wunderbare Pool mit dem Garten. Vorzügliches Essen, gepaart mit einem herzlichen, perfekten Service der Angestellten. Das Zimmer war eine Kombination von Eleganz und Komfort. Das Reinigungspersonal war mehr als hilfsbereit und das Zimmer war sauber bis auf das i-Tüpfelchen. Wir haben uns einfach rundum wohl gefühlt und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Vielen herzlichen Dank für die wunderbare Zeit bei Ihnen. - Jeni (6/5): Beautiful grounds, lovely restaurant, blah rooms. - The staff was lovely. We had a very yummy vegan meal for dinner, and our waiter Kevin was AMAZING. The town was really beautiful, and the hotel grounds were stunning. The hotel rooms were boring. It has so much potential to be a beautiful historic hotel; I wanted to fall in love with it, but the room was underwhelming. The room was boring and very hot. A small fan was provided, but it needed to actually work to do any good. There is so much potential for this to be a beautiful historic hotel.

- Krondorfer (9/5): Ein wirklich erholsamer und ruhiger Aufenthalt. - Sehr schöne, solide Ausstattung, ruhige Lage, Blick auf die Donau, Terrasse/Gastgarten unter Kastanienbäumen, Klostergarten, der Schatten gab und zur Entspannung einlud, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, immer freundliches Personal- sowohl in der Rezeption, als auch im Service und auch im Reinigungsbereich!!!!!! Teilweise hatten die Hundebesitzer ihre „Lieblinge“ nicht im Griff.
- Juli (10/5): Enjoy Durnstein in this lovely historic hotel - Beautiful historic property filled with period pieces to honor its past. The facilities are updated though for your comfort! We ate dinner in the restaurant overlooking the Danube and it was wonderful. Breakfast was amazing too. Each room in the hotel is a treat: the restaurant, breakfast room, lobby, and halls. The location is just steps from the church, the start of the trail up to the castle and the cruise drop off if you come by boat (which I recommend, we took the DSGG from Krems and continued on to Melk the next day). The shower went from hot to cold and back randomly, but older plumbing is to be expected in a historic old hotel!
