The staff are the heart and soul of this place. • jackiecN8982SQ (10/5): Excellent Stay At The Figo Hotel - This hotel is very special. Although it is small, it is well equipped. The location is quiet yet convenient, with plenty of places to eat nearby and easy transportation. When we arrived at the lobby, a staff member named Venezia greeted us and assisted with check-in. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. She asked whether we were tired and if we would like something to drink, and she also explained the facilities in the room. When I asked her for recommendations on nearby places to eat, she quickly found several very authentic local restaurants for us. Because I was feeling quite tired, I asked her if there were any massage places nearby. She recommended one that was about a 7-minute walk away. The staff there were very friendly, and I felt extremely comfortable after the massage. I am very thankful to Venezia for recommending this massage place, as it made my vacation even more relaxing. Every time I returned to the hotel and saw her warm and friendly smile, it made me feel very happy staying there. Whenever I had questions, she was always able to help. Her kindness and attitude toward guests made the stay feel especially welcoming. Next time I visit, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

The staff – in particular Marco, Hailey and their manager, Ethel – were exceptionally helpful and accommodating, and helped us escape a truly atrocious Airbnb experience. I would strongly recommend this hotel as an excellent, affordable option with a great team running it. We are Hongkongers who moved abroad a few years ago, and when we next return to the city, which we do regularly, we will definitely stay there again.

Comfortable with very helpful staff. - Great boutique hotel in CENTRAL, and it is a good base for those that want to "walk the city, and the island" and close to the ferry terminals for visits to Kowloon and the many islands and bays.
• maryjF4118NS (6/5): Great hotel! Strongly recommend - We recently stayed at a small hotel tucked into a busy business district. To our pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The suite was well-kept and offered a nice view of the streets below. We also enjoyed the free drinks provided. One staff member, Silvia, went above and beyond as she happily answered our questions and helped us navigate the area. Unfortunately, another staff member named Hailey ignored us. Each time we approached with a question, she seemed more interested in her phone than in assisting us. The suite upgrade and Silvia’s exceptional service were highlights of our stay. Regardless of the inattentive front desk experience, I would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a cozy stay in HK.
• 848kimg (8/5): Great Hotel - We chose this location to be close to the metro and ferry terminal. It is a more local area and we liked that as there were loads of shops and restaurants around. The people at reception were super nice. The complimentary snacks and drinks at happy hour were very appreciated. And there was a lovely outdoor terrace where you could enjoy the sunshine. We received an upgrade to the Magnolia Suite and it was very nice. Spacious with a small kitchenette and separate living area. We had everything we needed. Loved having the water station available to fill water bottles. The only reason for the 4 is that the bed was extremely hard. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

The location is great, near bus stops and main locations in Central Hong Kong. There are some free snacks and drinks available for the guests as well. The price is very worth the experience of our stay.

Staff are extremely helpful, the suite I always choose is roomy and well insulated to keep the noise of Hong Kong at bay so that I sleep well and the housekeeping staff are friendly and very efficient.

Amazing staff at the Figo - welcomed warmly by Silva upon arrival and very attentive with any queries I had during my stay. The Housekeeping team – Juby and Sheung were great as well, always greeting me with friendly smiles and one of them even helped folding my pyjamas that were just left on the bed when I was away. The room was spacious and clean, the reception very helpful and it’s located in a very popular area with lots of restaurants and shops (also public transport) nearby. There is even a complimentary bar where you get get water, coffee, sodas and even alcohol for free during happy hour! They also have books and board games for the guest to use. • sethc842 (10/5): Absolutely delighted - We honestly had fairly average expectations given the price range but we were just blown away by how cozy and relaxing the entire facility was the moment we entered the reception and the common area. I was already happy with the pleasant surprise but my wife and I were super delighted with our room, which was honestly almost as nice as our apartment back in Metro Manila. The location is also perfect for our trip. We've previously been to HK before, so we didn't have the usual tourist itinerary and the hotel being in Sheung Wan just allowed us to scour so many cafes and restaurants on foot.

Venezia, our host, was wonderfully welcoming, suggesting places to go and routes to get there easily! Our suite was spotlessly clean, the a/c wasn’t too cold but a very comfortable temperature, and it had all the amenities we needed. The hotel is centrally located and very convenient. They have nice touches like complimentary soft drinks in the lounge and happy hour gin and tonics/local beer once a day at 5:30-6:30 pm. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Hong Kong.

Right there in the heart of Sheung Wan, where old and new HK come together. 10 min walk to the metro. -The complementary drinks and social hour is an amazing shout. -Lovely terrace with a nice view. -The staff are super friendly and helpful. Thanks Venezia! -Beautiful design and branding. Very stylish. -The shower is amazing. Water pressure is really good. -The rooms were great but need a little bit tlc. Fresh paint, new curtains and no stains on the floor. Especially for this price. -I know the rooms are small but a bit more storage would have been nice.
• hongkongh81 (2/5): DO NOT RECOMMEND! - Check-in was frustrating. Despite arriving at 3 pm - the hotel’s standard check-in time; I was left waiting until 3:30 PM. When I inquired about the queue, the female receptionist was dismissive, said, “I remember and I know the sequence, just wait.” The room condition was disappointing as well. There were smudge everywhere, the sheer were broken and the floor was visibly damaged. The worst part? One of the water bottles provided had leftover water in it.. an unacceptable oversight in cleanliness and guest service.

• Trip35559161849 (10/5): Great Hotel in the heart of Soho - Great boutique hotel at a premium location. So much to do within walking distance. Great attentive staff and a very comfortable room. They offer complementary tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day plus beer for a couple of hours each evening.
• Happiness39986537668 (2/5): Don't stay here if you expect a smoke-free hotel. - I stayed in this hotel twice this year. The first short trip in early March was without issue, and I booked a longer stay for later that March. Upon checking in I was confronted with a strong smell of cigarettes in the hallway and in the room—someone was smoking in the fire escape staircases. The staff did what they could, putting air purifiers in my room, but still, over the curse of my 2 week stay the smell came and went, due to the circular air conditioning system, the room would fill with smoke at a moment's notice. They told me there was nothing they could do if someone was smoking and they couldn't see them. I am pregnant and this was deeply upsetting to me, especially as due to March Madness in Hong Kong, every hotel was booked out so I couldn't change easily. Overall I was hugely disappointed - it's not okay to advertise your hotel as smoke free if this is not the case. I was offered a room change - but the other room smelt just the same. Upon checking out they deducted 2 small laundry charges from my bill, but no other compensation was offered.
• Poliwhirl (10/5): Like it! - My first time to stay here and I really liked it. I booked a Premium Suite direct with the hotel benefiting from happy hour drinks 5.30pm to 6.30pm (I think) and a breakfast bag (sandwich, yogurt and fruit item). Room is good sized for Hong Kong with lounge area, TV, sofa, table and 2 chairs, small kitchenette, coffee maker, kettle, fridge, sink, cupboards, cutlery, glasses etc, bathroom with shower, bathroom amenities, bedroom with comfortable bed, TV, safe (not large enough for laptop), wardrobe, robes. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel has a large lounge area where you can hang out and enjoy free soft drinks and tea/coffee all day as well as wine, spirits, beer and snacks during happy hour (if you book direct). Location in Sheung Wan is very convenient with MTR stations close by or a 10-15 minute walk to Central. To go back to the Airport you can use the A11 bus, it stops nearby at Queen St/Connaught Rd and takes around 40-45 mins all for around $40HKD.

The staff are all very friendly and were considerate of the fact we were travelling in a group, so put us in rooms all on the same level. The free happy hour of an evening is a great perk and the common area offers a nice place to relax.

Location is fantastic, easy to get to transport and in the middle of a vibrant neighbourhood with plenty of places to explore. We’ll definitely be back again
• greenfox36 (10/5): Surprisingly delightful stay at The Figo! - After a late night check-in from a long overseas flight, I received a cool spacious 2nd floor room, erroneous wi-fi instructions, and an unexpected early wake-up call of busy street noise at the crack of dawn. This prompted me to inquire at the front desk first thing at an reasonable morning hour on the wi-fi issue and possibility of another room not in front of the street. The front desk staff immediately helped provide correct wifi instructions as well as a room upgrade to a much quieter 20th floor suite. A most welcomed change that made my day and I truly enjoyed the rest of the my stay at the Figo. With its attentive front desk staff, minimalistic relaxing decor, environmentally friendly features, excellent Sheung Wan location, I’ll remember the Figo quite fondly and recommend it highly!

That was difficult, for me. Also, the TV was displaying cartoons & I could not access any news channels. No sure if I needed a subscription to acess netflix etc?

Friendly staff and relaxed lounge and terrace. We never did the happy hour but drinks and small snacks available all day. Will be back!

• Sally (10/5): - I absolutely loved this hotel! I booked a suite and it was much bigger than the pictures showed. There were two of us staying there, and one of us had the bedroom and the other had the lounge. Easily big enough for both of us. Everyone working there was amazing. They do a happy hour between 1730 - 1830 (although only made it once!). Everything is very clean - bed, towels etc. were excellent. There is also a large shared lounge area with a small balcony. Area is awesome - 10 mins walk from Macau ferry terminal and a metro station. About 2 mins walk from the beginning of Hollywood Road, which has lots of great restaurants and bars - quite 'hipster' as an area! I recommend two of our temporary local bars on the Hollywood road and near the hotel - Blackwood and El Chapo. Blackwood does the longer Happy Hour fyi! Overall, extremely happy with The Figo and would happily stay there again / recommend to others!
• jackiecN8982SQ (10/5): Great Location, excellent staff - This hotel has a very convenient location, close to the subway station, and there are various restaurants and entertainment options nearby. The rooms look small in the photos, but they are actually bigger than I expected. The room is clean and well-equipped. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, especially Venezia. She introduced us to many great restaurants nearby, showed us ways to save money, and gave us tips on how to walk to the transportation faster. She also provided a lot of useful information about the area, making everything very convenient for us. She genuinely cared about our needs, and every time we saw her, her smile was very warm and friendly. She would always ask if we needed anything or help. During our stay, we felt very comfortable and warm. I highly recommend this hotel to my friends! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit.

• Michael (10/5): Very pleasant discovery, great value for money - My wife and I have been regular business and leisure travelers to HK for over 20 years. This hotel was a very happy discovery for us; it felt like it was very new, nicely located in the Sheung Wan locality, convenient to central HK. One slight limitation is that it's a slightly longer walk to the MTR (6-8 min, which for HK is not short). Having said that, if you are comfortable with local transport options (which we are), the bus and tram services are excellent. The bus stop is literally at the doorstep, and it only takes 15 min to get to Central by bus. We were upgraded to the club floor, which came with a little sitting room, which was very much appreciated. The room was very well appointed, with full range of toiletries. The towels felt very new, as did the bedsheets, and the bed was comfortable. The room is a typical HK hotel room, with enough space to walk around 2 sides of the bed. Hence the usefulness of having a sitting area. What we really enjoyed about the hotel was the common area at the reception, where there was free flow drinks and snacks, in a very comfortable large open area, with ample seating. The best thing? Every day at 530 to 630, there is a happy hour, with free flow wine, beer, bourbon and other liquor. It was a very nice place to hang out and chill. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful. I did not have a single interaction with staff where they were not smiling and helpful. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent cleaning, no bed bugs! - Best part was I fully expected bed bugs, yet we had none! So small even though we booked a suite already. I have stayed in many hotels in HK, this was a low ceiling newly refurbished property that likely used to be a motel. Excellent job by cleaning staff, however, it’s not their fault management chose to keep leaky A/C units and stained old carpets.
• Alexandra (8/5): - Lovely hotel with efficient facilities - they have a gym which was great and quiet. The only negative comment I have is that the air conditioning in the room I was initially assigned was so loud that I actually had to move rooms (the front desk was happy to relocate me and this made a big difference). Otherwise, had a great stay here.

• Ming Pei (10/5): - Really enjoyed my stay here. Booked the standard room and they kindly upgraded the room to a queen premier. Very spacious! Location is perfect - smack in the middle of sheung wan, walkable to SYP MTR (recommended option as it’s more sheltered during summer heat) about 5 mins walk; walkable to Sheung Wan MTR (a lot of small bars and eateries a long the way but largely not sheltered) about 7 mins walk.
• Laura (10/5): Great stay - Booked this for my dad as I live nearby and it was perfect. He had a little apartment which was very comfortable. The lounge area is lovely and has a happy hour everyday and soft drinks/coffee all day. The terrace was a nice space too. Gym limited but a great extra. Location is great most things within 15mins walk.

The common area has free water, free coffee and a good variety of games. The room has divided areas for sleeping and "living area", perfect for us dealing with jet lag.

• Simon (10/5): Great hotel, close to transport for Hong Kong - Nice hotel with close access to all transport. Clean room, amazing pressure shower, tea and coffee making facilities. Didn't feel cramped at all. This was a great room to use as a base for seeing Hong Kong.

• WENDY ON-KEI (4/5): - I got over 5 but bites in the room over my 2 night stay. Not sure what kind of bugs they were. The air condition was not working properly and even on the cooling setting set to 17C it felt like just a fan. The bathroom water was not draining properly either and every time we showered the whole bathroom would be flooded.

The drainage was found to be clogged when taking a shower, so made that much water on the toilet floor. Their public area is comfortable and good feeling

The tone of that evening staff seemed a bit impatient and told me that this hotel doesn't have a restaurant. He could have just told me that breakfast was not included. Anyways, my stay was nice in general. The room is clean. Although it is smaller than what I expected, it was still a cozy room.

• David (6/5): Average stay, lacking in the details. - Room itself was fine, albeit very small. No heating in the room...Quite chilly for 12-15 degrees outside in January! Fitness center was a joke...Three old broken machines do not make a fitness center! Either invest in proper equipment or do not advertise an on-site gym! Pillows were too high for our liking. We moved to a hotel for 50 HKD more per night on the Kowloon side that was better in every way.

Did not show was supposed to be there at HK airport Arrivals Hall; flight on time, imm. and customs routine. NO SHOW. THEN their phone number is disconnected. THEN Expedia tells me it's .ELIFELIMO policy not to give refunds. Thanks Expedia, you market service from company with disconnected phone then no refund after they leave us at airport. Been Expediaa customer for 21 years, but no more.

The room is clean and staff is nice. Only the toilet paper keeps falling off and easy to get wet. It’s hanging on the side of washbasin. Maybe will be better move to the opposite side.
• Linda (10/5): Nice Boutique Hotel - This is a nice little boutique hotel in Sheung Wan. It is a short 5-10 walk to subway but there are also buses just across the street. Staff is very helpful, especially Eric. There is a lovely patio on the 4th floor where we enjoyed our morning cappuccino from their espresso machine. We will definitely come back to this hotel next time in HK.

The Central station, HK Station and the ferry to Macau are very close and convenient too. I like the rooms, they are big, clean and comfy. I love staying at Hotel LBP! The home theatre room is a nice space to relax as well, and there is a terrace. Love it all!

Taxis are super cheap. The hotel itself is nice - we were upgraded to a suite which was great. Would have been a very small bedroom otherwise! Bathroom is basic but functioning. • CATHERINE (10/5): Bright stay in bright blue building. - Platinum suite was very nice and a reasonable price. It was good to be in a hotel in Hong Kong and have plenty of space. The hotel does not provide breakfast, but tea and coffee is in the room and there are complimentary soft drinks available in the mini-bar next to reception as well as nuts and biscuits. Nice little outdoor seating area. Great location in Central, approx 15 minutes walk from the Star Ferry.
