Perfect to cool down and not get sunburned. It was a wonderful holiday. The water in the shower kept fluctuating between hot and cold. The mattress was very uncomfortable. It did not spoil my stay at Sara Residence. Everything else made up for it.

Husband could use the co-working hub. Local food next door was cheap & delish. Staff were above and beyond. Their kindness was incredible & genuine. Laundry across the road was affordable. Indo Mart/ stores across the road for bits & bobs. Burger place around the corner delish & dead cheap. Fed our family of 5 for $15Aud. Sara was quieter than a big resort which we liked. Carla Spa down the road for $7 foot massages. Lift didn’t work for a few days & we were on the top floor. Defs got our steps in lol. It was repaired quickly and the staff carried our bags & food up all the time.

Will absol - Clean spacious two bedroom apartment with super comfortable beds. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Fairer, we would let her know what we were after n she would get us in contact with the right people (she went over and beyond). Great location, laundromat, bottle shop and minimart across the road. Delicious breakfast every morning. They don’t do dinners but that was fine with us as we got takeaway or ate out. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff, will definitely be back. Not complaining but just as a heads up, bathroom floor can get very slippery especially when using shampoo n conditioner…extra caution needed.
• Valmai (1/5): - The STAFF were kind, polite, and personally pleasant throughout our stay. On a personal level, they were friendly and courteous when interacting with us. Breakfast (paid for) was provided daily and we were able to eat privately in our apartment - we chose not to eat downstairs with all and sundry using the internet facilities. Comfy beds! Unfortunately, the overall stay did not meet basic expectations, particularly for a family. Check-in was poorly managed. We requested early check-in due to downtime between accommodations and were declined, which was fine. They were fixing the telephone. However, when we returned shortly after the official check-in time, the room was STILL not ready and we waited over an hour in the lobby for "housekeeping to make our beds". Communication around this was unclear and inconsistent. The property feels run-down and poorly maintained. The room was old and not up to an acceptable standard for the area. The toilet did not function properly on arrival and required maintenance. The safe also did not work despite multiple attempts by staff to fix it, and no clear instructions were provided. The elevator was out of service overnight due to rain and remained out all day and again on checkout day. We were staying on the 4th floor and had to repeatedly carry a tired child up and down multiple flights of stairs, including after swimming. No alternative solution or support was offered. Noise was a major issue. There were loud sounds throughout the night from plumbing, kitchen areas, and surrounding buildings. The room had very little soundproofing, resulting in poor sleep. The common areas did not feel secure, with open access from the street and periods where no staff were present at reception, even while children were using shared spaces. While the staff were personally kind, this does not compensate for the significant issues with maintenance, accessibility, noise, cleanliness, security, and communication of the property. We would not return and would not recommend this property, particularly for families.

• Vaaiga Elizabeth (8/5): In a nutshell, our family of 40 people absolutely loved our stay here. Will def come back! - Breakfast was simple but very nice. My family of 40 enjoyed our breakfast meals. Loved the fresh juices every morning. The servings were more than enough and the variety was lovely (big breakfast sausages, eggs of your preference, baked beans, spinach, tomatoe, pancakes, mie goreng, nasi goreng, french toast, smoothie bowl, fresh fruits, if you prefer you could order cafe items from Cafe Louis (attached to hotel). The staff were absolutely wonderful. I can't stress that enough. They went above and beyond for our family. Alit and Erna were soooo lovely as were the other staff (we never got all names). They remembered our names, who was in which room, whose kids and parents, they knew our menu preferences, treated our kids as their own, our kids never wanted to leave the hotel - because they felt so welcome and safe with all the staff. The cleaners were fabulous, daily housekeeping, and were so easy to accommodate us. Our family had booked all 14 units (31 rooms in total) so we had the whole hotel to ourselves. We were there when the Bali floods hit, and every street around us and accommodation was flooded, except for ours. The floors go up to Level 4, and the balconies are lovely to sit outside and have a cold drink. All the rooms were spacious, absolutely loved our 3 bedroom and beds & pillows were very comfortable. All aircons in all rooms were working perfectly. We loved that although the street out front is quite busy and noisy during the day, it was fine at night, slept through the thunderstorm, so the rooms were sound proof. Our 10+ family kids loved the pool and had midnight swims every night, and the staff were always there to change pool towels, even at 2am when we all decided to jump in. We celebrated 3 birthdays while we were there, and the staff held a party for my father (turned 80 and the reason we all went to Bali), decorations, cake and a gift for my dad. They were so cute, and we were not expecting it and he absolutely loved it. I say these comments because I would love to see Sara flourish and take on more guests because while the staff are lovely and we all enjoyed our stay, there is always room to improve anything. I thought the swimming pool could be better maintained. On our last day, 6 people got sick, and we could only nail it down to the pool, as they were the only ones who swam that day for the first time, and later that day got headaches, and felt nauseous. We noticed the last couple of days, they had not put any chlorine in it, (maybe there was never any and we didn't even notice) but we definitely found the water murkier than when we first arrived (we were there for 8 nights) so maybe this is something Sara can take on board or improvement. This would probably stop anyone getting sick (we almost all survived Bali Belly). I'm not one to do a full inspection when I visit hotels, but could not help but notice some of the 'white' bath towels were not white at all and they were stained. Maybe a purchase of new bath towels for all the rooms would be great. Other than that, if you're on a budget and you want somewhere comfortable, this is the place for your whole family. If you want luxury it is definitely not it, but it is cosy, and family orientated, the staff are so lovely and will help you with anything you need.

Breakfast could use a bit more options. The pool temperature was very cold and lots of chlorine, turning blond hair green.

• Prince (2/5): I will not recommend anyone this hotel appartement - Location was good Toilet bathroom and kitchen was lots of stains and dirty even after cleaning and the towels were never white lots of stains look like very very old and the terrace were never cleaned but the staff are very kind . WiFi was a disaster most of the time not working the kitchen was never fully equipped

• Christine (2/5): - Booked total 6 units for 5 nights for 21 pax for family wedding. Caught 4 rats in 1 room on day 1. Housekeeping laid traps & poison around which stank room. Traps caught lizards but hsekeeping failed to clean daily. Rats lived in roof areas squeaking at nite. Found dirt & ketchup package under sofa. Stale rotting food found in kettle. I asked for refund on day 2 of our stay for only the rat infested room (not all rooms) & manager Stephanie said it was no issue for refund & to put our request thro booking app which is the right procedure in order to process the refund. But she didnt respond to affirm the refund until after our stay was over n checked out then said it was declined. So she lied, knowing we had a busy wedding holiday schedule for a big group & difficult to move to another place on shoet notice. But worst of all, it is bad unethics to lie. I do not recommend this place under any circumstances. Poor show of integrity.

The living room floor rug was very dirty. My daughter got bitten by bed bugs really badly and they refused to refund us for our last night. They offered us another apartment but we could not take the chance that we all would be bitten by bed bugs. The mattresses did not have any mattress covers and the mattresses were very dirty. We did stay two nights and we did see the manager and showed our daughters bites but after she discussed with the sales team they refused to give us any refund. They did offer us a free ride to the airport...but I don't know why as we were leaving the next day and we stayed somewhere else the last night. I can't believe we did not get any refund. Not good.
• Mister (2/5): Dont do it - Sraff were friendly and there was an abundance of pool towels available The pool area smelled like a septic farm more often than not. The beds and pillows provided were so uncomfortable they were better off being used in an olden days torture chamber. We requested to extend our stay by one night on arrival and were promptly charged almost half the cost of our total for the previously booked 3 nights that included breakfast. Dont be fooled by the pool either. It may look nice but after only 3 swims my daughters scalp developed a blue rash and the ends of hair resembled a smurf smoothie.Shortly after that discovery my son broke out in some weird hives like skin irritation that plagued him for the following 6 days. We honestly regretted our choice of accommodation more than Prince Andrew did in agreeing to his last televised live interview. On the morning of our checkout we were quickly ushered out of the dining area as we were informed that breakfast was not included in our overpriced night extension. And for one final kick to the rbs, they then attempted to make us pay for the first three nights a second time statig that their was no evidence of our payment in their system. I would rather sleep with the street dogs than siep foot in this place ever again. Oh yeah and lastly if you attempt to take a number 2 in the toilet within your motel room (not a villa),you will have to weave your hand through the hordes of flying toilet bugs that suddenly appear from beneath the rim. I like.....NOT
• Audrey (6/5): Not worth the money - Easy check in/check out. Beds are comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice with a correct menu to choose from. Our experience at Sara Residence was underwhelming. It is located in a busy street. The cleanliness was barely acceptable, and the overall maintenance of the property was poor—our room had curtains half hanging down, full of mosquitoes, walls are stained with coffee (or else?...) which made it feel neglected. The A/C remote controls have no working battery. The second bedroom has no window. The staff struggled with English, making communication a bit complicated. Additionally, the pool was unappealing and did not match our expectations based on the photos. Overall, we were not impressed and would not stay here again.

• Philippa (7/5): Nice stay, would stay again if we wanted to be in that part of Legian. - I think the stand out of this hotel are the staff. Always ready to welcome you with a smile and ask how your day was… and they were super friendly with our 2 year old girl. We really enjoyed the pool area, as it has different depths and always a part of it in the shade which is perfect with a baby. We booked to stay here as it has 2 bedrooms, so we could put our daughter in her own room. Small kitchenette is handy for food prep. And the Sensatia amenities are top notch. Maybe because we checked in late at night, we got the last room available.. but one of the bedroom doors wouldn’t close, the bathroom door didn’t open all the way, the a/c in the bedrooms didn’t seem particularly cold, and the living area was always super warm as it only had a fan. It would’ve been handy to have had some dish soap in the kitchen to wash dishes and baby bottles with, but we bought some anyways… and there is only the option to have breakfast and lunch in the hotel, no dinner option.. which would’ve been handy for the evenings we stayed in with the baby.
• Amanda (9/5): Excellent for a family of five - Comfortable accomodation with lots of space. It included breakfast and the food, coffee and service were excellent. Location was a bit further out to what I’m used to but there’s still everything available close to the residence.
• Julieth (5/5): Needs Immediate Attention** - The rooms had a very strong, unpleasant smell of mould, The cleanliness was also an issue; the sofa was stained, and some of the cushions even had food remnants on them. The swimming pool was green and clearly not well-maintained—it did not look clean or safe to use. Overall, the place desperately needs a thorough cleaning and maintenance.

Garbage smell from outside dumpster if you stand at the balcony. Cooking appliances too limited (only 1 small frying pan and 1 small pot) , not suitable for penthouse for family of 5.

• Inderjeet (8/5): Nice litte place for a night or two.... - It was conveniently located, close to everyday amenities. Has little kitchenette for families with kids. Had little ants when we checked in, but told the reception straight away and they sent the house keeping staff to spray it.
• Julie (10/5): Hidden Gem - The staff were amazing and genuinely greeted you each day. They interacted with us and so helpful and friendly. It is like a small boutique hotel, very personal. The pool is clean, tropical and private. We had 2 lounge chairs outside our room with an umbrella. Great air con in both bedrooms. It's not a 5 star hotel but suited us for 4 nights comfortably with a 1yr old. Indomart, laundry, cafes all within 20 metres. Netflix, youtube plus huge water supplied and replaced free of charge. Quiet and out of the hustle and bustle. We had a two bedroom pool side. We caught bluebirds to go into legian and kuta for 4 people and a baby. This was a fixed price of aud $3.

And it was nice having a fridge and microwave. For the money it is good value. We didn’t like the location. Also the pool needs a railing to help you in and out. We didn’t have hot water either.

Plus the property surrounding full with cafes, halal stalls and many other shops. Not only that the staff there are super friendly!! A bit noisy because of the car and motorbike most of the time during morning - afternoon.

Erna even took me on her personal scooter when I forgot my phone at a restaurant at Double 6 Beach. Merli had the biggest smile that lit up the room and made us feel so welcome. Indra made breakfast run to perfection, so good at her job and would always have time to talk and answer our questions. Breakfast was so good. Tea, coffee, fresh juice and a fruit platter and then a choice of a full English breakfast, eggs benedict, pancakes, french toast, pastries or traditional fried rice. The apartment was serviced daily and kept so clean and tidy, and the aircon was beautifully cold. The pool, although not huge, was so refreshing, very pretty and never crowded. The hotel is situated in a busy area so occassionslly the loud motorbikes could be heard at night as they zoomed past but we wanted to be close to everything so it was expected.

• Saul (8/5): Very good - The location is within short distance to most of the must visit places, bars, and restaurants. The staff is outstanding, they really work to make you feel pleasant. A big shout out to Indra, her work in the kitchen is exceptional. The bed was comfortable and big enough to have a wife, husband, and baby. The room with access to the swimming pool gets all the noise in the morning because of the kids playing.

• Nyoman (8/5): Very good - One family is together in one place. The room has 3 beds with 6 people but the bathroom is only 2. We expected 3 bathrooms as well.

• Yvonne (1/5): Worst experience ever - Nothing Amenities were not as described, one air-conditioning didn't work, the balcony had vines overgrown on the balcony and it was dirty and the balcony door didn't lock up. The front door lock you had to leave your key in at night to keep it locked as it was damaged from someone trying to break in and it didn't have a dryer as described. I could go on. We decided to leave it was that bad and they wouldn't refund our money and lied about receiving emails from Bookings.com and the service from Bookings.com wasn't much better. Worst experience is ever..

• Ivan (8/5): Very good - So we were here in 2018 for 3 weeks and now in 2024 for 4 weeks so I can definitely tell many things about this hotel. Staff are amazing. They are kind, sweet and helpful and I love them - especially Indra. The biggest advantage in this hotel are staff because without them it wouldnt be that good. Compared to 2018 food was definitely worse. In 2018 we liked everything so much - frenchtoust, club sendwich and everything was 10/10. Now food is just avarage. In 2018 we liked pool so much. But now pool is just useless because of so many plants - there is no sunlight. And also we booked our stay for month and we got the worst possible room. I complained first day but they pretty much ignored it.

I would like to give 5/5 atmosphere/environment, 5/5 service, 5/5 respect, 5/5 location and 5/5 for overnight stay fees. ## highly recommended who is planning to come bali for holiday ## nice swimming pool to chill out🤩🤩 Personally, i loved everything but every people have different thought so might be someone dont appreciate the service because of their attitude or ego but whoever come to enjoy with money saving idea, go there you wont be regret later.

• Daniel (6/5): Clean place to stay, if lacking slightly in the facilities dept. A bit o f a remote location from Legian, but only a 20k - Our apartment was the perfect size and suited us. We did have a water leak in the kitchen which did get rectified fairly quickly. The staff were always friendly and made an effort. The pool was nice, except probably too shady, so didn’t really benefit from any sunshine. The catering was probably the biggest let down. The western breakfast was pretty dire. Only eat breakfast once there, so a waste of money in the respect. There are a couple of nearby coffee/cafes nearby that hands down served better food.

Staff are so friendly, helpful and made our stay memorable, especially Indra, Alit, Angga ( he makes the best coffee). breakfast was fabulous.
