- Chris (1/5): One of the worst motels I’ve ever stayed at. - You could walk to the mall. Property was dirty, dilapidated and depressing. Aircon worked but was missing 1/2 the front - looked like it needed a good clean. Carpet was sticky and gross. Despite paying for what I thought was a room on the upper floor was put in a ground level floor right next to the pacific highway which literally never stops and no sound proofing. I’ve stayed in some dumps in my time but this one is up there. ALL this could have been forgiven. If it were for the rude and aggressive housekeeping who started knocking on my door as soon as the clock struck ten. I was just finishing packing and going to the toilet when they started banging like the cops in a movie. I said I’d be one minute- the lady kept banging insisting I get out right now. I repeated I would be one second - she attempted to enter the room another house keeper told her not to. She said it’s gone ten and they just stood there banging on the door till I exited. I have never experienced anything like it, and I’ve travelled the world. Not only would I never stay here again. It’s put me off Coffs in general if this is how hotel guests are treated I can’t imagine the rest.

- Peter (6/5): Ok place but be prepared for noise - Coffs Harbour was an overnight stop on our road trip from Sydney to Gold Coast. In some respects, Bentleigh Motor Inn was an ideal place to pitch up. The room itself was ok and the location was convenient I didn’t do my homework properly - the hotel’s location right on the Pacific Highway means you’re subjected to truck noise right through the night. And to make it worse, we were put in Room 1, the room closest to the highway. The secondary glazing at the main window was a great help, but the windows over the door and in the bathroom did nothing to cut out the noise. It quietened down in the early hours but then we had what sounded like a garbage truck outside for 20 minutes around 2am. Not much use for a light sleeper like me. I had a very restless night.
