Maviya (6/5): Decent location and rooms - **Hotel Savoy Central Review:** We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Savoy Central, mainly due to its excellent location. It's right in the heart of everything, with plenty of shops and eateries around, which made it super convenient for us, especially with young children. The hotel’s proximity to local amenities was definitely a highlight. The room was a decent size and the kitchen was a real lifesaver, allowing us to heat up food for the kids easily. It was a great touch for families. As for cleanliness, it met an acceptable standard, nothing extraordinary but no major complaints either. However, the bathroom could really use a makeover. It felt quite outdated, and while it was manageable, it definitely wasn’t as modern as we had hoped. The staff were generally polite and helpful, but there were times when I requested things and the response wasn’t as accommodating as I would have expected. Often, the staff seemed unsure or needed to check with someone else before fulfilling simple requests. The usual response was a “no” or a "maybe," which could have been more customer-focused. It’s hard to say if this is down to the staff themselves or if it’s more about the management not empowering them enough to make decisions or think outside the box. I do think a bit more autonomy for the staff could improve the overall guest experience. Overall, a solid stay with great location and good facilities, but with room for improvement in service flexibility.
shrey (2/5): - They moved me to a different sister hotel saying the room wasn't available.in the different hotel , they only provided me the room for 1 night instead of 5 as promised. Then to make things worse, they gave me a room on the smoking floor, the room had smoking smell which was not good as we had an infant. Poor management.

All staff are helpful and courteous, from front desk to the concierge and security officers, who remember and greet guests warmly with smiles. They are discreet and discerning in checking visitors to ensure security. Unfortunately, being located in a busy and bustling area, traffic noise can be annoying, especially caused by utility trucks and impatient drivers blaring their car horns. Although they are tolerable, there are probably little the hotel can do to address these downsides.

Verified traveler (6/5): A reasonable Hotel with good customer service - The hotel is a little tired now although the rooms are spacious enough. The biggest issue is that the Air Conditioning has been fixed at 23'C and can't go lower. There is no recognition of being a good customer, no preferential rates and this is not good. On the positive the Breakfast is good and the staff are good, so overall I would recommend it but it could be better.

Zayedul (10/5): - Stayed here for 6 nights as coupl. Requested an early check in and although no rooms available, they managed to accommodate check a couple of hours later as soon as a room was vacant. We didn't get our preferred room with balcony but was advised we would do following day. Unfortunately we were out all day the following day so were still in same room next night. However, we were given our preferred room the day after and Agnes gave us complimentary breakfast for two days! Breakfast was great with a wide variety of food choice. Can also order your choice of omelette to be made. Hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Swimming pool and gym are nice although we didn't get to use. We did use Sauna on one day which was excellent! Location is good with metro around 10 mins walk. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby for all your needs. Gold souk and river are not too far away. We used Abra (boat) to cross over to gold souk when visiting. Beds are so comfortable! Bathroom is slightly small but adequate. Wi-fi is good. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend staying here. Big thank you to Agnes and all other staff including Ahmad for making us welcome and a wonderful stay!!

Jason (10/5): An absolute pleasure - a true gem! - It has been an absolute pleasure to stay at this property. I originally booked for 3 nights, but decided to stay another 4 so far. From the moment I arrived, the staff have been top class. Friendly, superbly helpful, professional and among the best I have experienced anywhere in the world. The rooms are perfect for either someone, like myself, travelling alone - a washing machine & a kitchen allowing me to cook and be very comfortable. It would also be perfect for couples and families. The location is absolutely perfect. I have been able to take amazing walks in the evening around sunset, to the old town, along Dubai Creek and to the local Souks and other shops. Also, within 5 minutes walk are a host of grocery stores - so easy! I ordered room service on a couple of occasions and this too was excellent. Quick, tasty and very reasonable. I would recommend this property to everyone. And thank you to the hard-working staff across the reception, kitchen and housekeeping. A little gem!
