• Martha (3/5): Icky. Almost left when first arrived. - Bed was comfortable, location was great. Patio furniture new Toilet didn’t flush contents easily due to low water pressure. Shower and sink didn’t drain easily. When arrived strong mildew smell that was very over powering, door was unlocked and keypad wasn’t working. Came into lights on either side of bed that were not working. We wanted to leave immediately but it was after midnight and we had already paid. Drawer was not opening and another wasn’t closing properly. Furniture beat up. Oven had no cookie sheets or dishes to cook in the oven with. No pot holder. Only two bath towels in room when arrived and initially were told to wash them. We were then given two more. We would not stay here again and would not have chosen this location if the reviews and ratings were accurate. I can see that the ratings have dropped by 1.2 points since we booked. We did lend our febreeze to other guests whose room also smelled of mildew Ran out of toilet paper WiFi down or in and out all stay
• Brandy ( riley Oconnell) (1/5): Would not recommend the property to anyone. It has - The ceiling was leaking water for days. There was mold on the ceiling. The leak got the bed wet and towels had to be put on it. When request more towels we were told we had to wash the ones we had. The leak and mold was reported to the property and we were told maintenance would come fix it. No one ever came or followed up. The door lock code wasn’t working and took along time to get fixed. Water leaking from ceiling for four days got bed and out personal items wet. Mold on ceiling. No one came to fix or clean the ceiling and mold. Rude manager Elena as I tried to get a refund. Refused to provide name of property manager when requested. Her response “a person”.
• Matthew (7/5): The stay was enjoyable for my family despite the lack of services. - Great location. Nice pool and outdoor areas. It’s basically a small motel room that they call an “apartment.” I did not know that there was no maid service, or even clean towels. You had to wash them yourself. Also the door code did not work, and after several calls we were able to access a key. It should be easier to reach the help we needed, but there is nobody on the property to help.

• Diane (7/5): - CAN'T BEAT THE LOCATION!! 4min walk to Coffee shop and then another 3min across the street you'll find a Publix grocery store, Walgreens, Dollar Tree and Liquor store. Very friendly staff that replaced the batteries in my door lock, then the smoke alarm in a timely manner... even though there is no mngmt on site. Pool area was nice & clean. Beach towels are located in the room's closet, along with lots of hangers. Nice, full size freezer/fridge combo but no ice maker. I usually don't like memory foam beds but found their bed to be comfortable. Good Windows that actually blocked out MOST of the noise from pool area & street traffic bc of where my room was located. The smell in the room. Wasn't terribly overwhelming but did smell a little like mildew. There were two fan/light fixtures. One over the bed & one in the kitchen. They would randomly turn on. Woke me up a couple times so it was a little annoying. My room (Premium King Studio) was located right next to pool area so one night I had to deal with two couples partying till midnight and letting their kids scream all night. Since there's no mngmt on site to complain to, I would ask for a room further from pool area.

• Destiny (1/5): - I booked this hotel on 12/12/25 for a stay from 12/13 to 12/14. After booking, I was told I would receive my room number and access code shortly, but I never did. I also requested an early check-in and paid for late checkout at the time of booking. When I arrived at the airport before heading to the hotel, I messaged them again about the early check-in but received no response. I called the hotel and was hung up on, and only after calling back did they inform me I hadn’t completed their registration—which I had completed immediately after booking. I had to wait an hour before they finally got back to me with my room. Once checked in, I asked again about the late checkout. I was told I’d have to wait until 9:30am the following day when housekeeping arrived to see if it was possible. I messaged at 8am with no response. At 10am, with checkout at 11am, housekeeping knocked on my door, and I reminded them I wanted the 2pm late checkout. The housekeeper initially said it was fine, but a few minutes later I received a message saying late checkout was not available. The rooms are very small, and the customer service was frustrating throughout my stay. I will not be returning. I highly recommend Shore Haven, just down the street—the rooms are bigger, and the customer service is excellent.

• Masters-Reisen.de (6/5): ok - Gute Lage, kurze Wege zum Strand oder zum Einkaufen. Lauderdale-by-the-Sea ist eine gute Gegend für Erholung. kein Ansprechpartner vor Ort, alles elektronisch geregelt. So klappt nicht alles ohne Wartezeit beim CheckInn. Sauberkeit im Apartment lässt zu Wünschen übrig, keine Batterien in der Fernbedienung zum Fernsehen und die Klima ist viel zu alt und daher sehr laut!

• Jan-Hendrik (8/5): Im ganzen ein solides Motel wo man , so wie wir, ein paar Tage bleiben kann . Die Abwicklung online ist eine feine Sache - Die zentrale Lage ist sehr gut . Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt vor der Tür , sowie Restaurants und weitere Geschäfte sind nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt . Der Strand ist 4 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt . Das Studio ist mit allem nötigen ausgestattet was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt benötigt. Das Studio was wir hatten könnte auch mal wieder etwas renoviert werden im Bad . Der Toilettendeckel sowie Brille waren locker und kurz vorm abbrechen. Es waren im Außenbereich sehr viele Palmetto Bugs unterwegs. Hier müsste mehr was dagegen gemacht werden.

• Jayne (6/5): Reasonable value, handy location. Room decor was dingy and dark. The hotel required some updating - Our door code/lock was faulty for Apartment 103 on arrival. It was arranged for maintenance to repair it on Sunday 26th and meet me at 103 for 19.00am . This did not happen! I cancelled meeting anyone as it was eating into my holiday time. I just used the master key for the duration of my stay. I also requested and electric kettle to boil water. This could not be provided!! I did not like the fact there was not a safe in the room to put valuables such as passport, personal items etc.. This I feel is essential as the hotel has no office or person to contact face to face. This was equally concerning as room 103,s door key code was not working . We also only had 1 key!!
• Michaela (8/5): - Das Apartment ist geräumig und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die Betten sind nicht mehr neu aber ok. Küche hat nur die allernötigste Ausstattung. Klimaanlage läuft prima. Gelände ist aufgeräumt und sehr sauber. Die Zimmer sind bauartbedingt extrem hellhörig.

• Cathrin (4/5): Would not recommend this place. There are better options nearby.. - Location. Only a few steps to the beach, to the little downtown area and to strip mall. Been here for 11 nights - big mistake 1) Shower : No water pressure, takes long to clean yourself, if long hair, forget it. Shower head changed - no difference. 2) I ask 4 weeks before arrival for a room on first floor. 3 days before arrival again, because I am severely handicapped. I got a room on 2nd floor and had to climb steps. Very disappointing. 3) Only three chairs to lay down in pool area, always blocked by somebody else. 4) No customer service around. In the afternoon when sun is shining at the door, the lock does not work. It took us 25 minutes to get into our room, waiting in the heat. Customer service by mail did not even react to this. 5) We had to buy toilet paper and no bed sheets had been changed in 11 days. 6) Room was nice but rather old and not really clean.

• Joe (2/5): Refund - I wanna start off saying that the room first smelled like smoke as soon as I got there. I called Customer Service and explain to them that I did not want to be charged for the smoke smell the next day. I decided to go to the store and buy sprays so they can smell better and left the windows open. Then I proceeded to call customer service again to let them know that the next day that after I checked in, I will be leaving and not staying there due to the inconvenience of cockroaches on the floor. The smell of smoke in the room and the property was just not maintained well .I want my full refund back

Wäschetrockner konnte nicht ein 2. x benutzt werden, da unsere Kreditkarten plötzlich nicht mehr akzeptiert wurden. Die noch feuchte Wäsche musste im Zimmer verteilt werden.

• Richard (8/5): - We really enjoyed the location — peaceful, charming, and close to everything in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The place has character and a lot of potential, which made our stay pleasant overall. Some maintenance issues stood out — the sink felt loosely attached, and the shower curtain rod had fallen and couldn’t be reinstalled, as it was only glued. These small details gave the impression that the place isn’t as well maintained as it could be.

• Lauren (6/5): Pleasant - Location great! The pool was cloudy the whole time didn't swim.The pool people came but still cloudy. I think there's an issue with the pool filter. Hopefully, it gets better, but it was definitely skectchy? I spent my entire time swimming on the beach a 2 minute walk to and from. I also got overcharged using the washer it says 2 dollars a load, and it charged me 8, dollars I'm disputing it with my bank a pain but, so beware of that!

• Arenas (5/5): Great location, the hotel could use some updates - The location was amazing. Within walking distance to the beach and Lauderdale by the Sea bar area. Conveniently located next to a Publix and plaza with CVS and dollar tree. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The outdoor area with pool was great. The shower pressure was almost non-existent. I have curly hair and the pressure would not wash out all of the products I use while showering. The beds were also smaller than queen sized, more like full sized. My husband and I had are not big people but we felt squished laying together every night.
