Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fall getaway - Our stay was very pleasant, we styed here before, rhe location is very good, short walk to the train station, buses and tram by the front door, supermarket three blocks away, and many restaurants around. Room is very comfortable but could be neater.
- Adriana (8/5): Come sentirsi a casa... - Sistemazione confortevole in posizione strategica.
- goeran (4/5): - dålig frukost
- Leah (8/5): - Nice authentic experience
- hannah (10/5): Awesome Awesome Awesome - This place was AWESOME! Directly next to the tram that goes anywhere and also directly below is a pizza place, cafe, supermarket, fresh fruits and veggies, and a souvenir shop! It is in a super safe location and the apartment itself was SO NICE! The kitchen is adorable and had a cute little view and 3 tables and chairs to sit. It came fully stocked for breakfast and had lots of espresso! :) the apartment was very clean and smelled very nice. This was big for us since we always judge a place by how it smells when you walk in. Only thing I would have loved to see was a dryer... you had to hang your clothes outside after washing.... and also a bathtub. Walking all day long makes you desire a soak and that wasnt possible! The bathroom was super updated abd modern which I loved and also each room got their own key to their room which i loved! No one could walk in your room while you were gone all day! The room was very nice but the bed was a little stiff and we were DYING for some pillows! Our necks hurt very bad all the nights we were there because the two pillows there were super flat. Other than this it was an outstanding experience!
- Dagfinn (8/5): Centraly placed with good communication - Easily accessible, clean and simple
- Val (6/5): Good room and location but not a B&B - I stayed here for 5 nights and was very surprised when I arrive to find this "Bed and Breakfast" located in an ordinary residential apartment building that is not that nice. I thought it was a small self contained B&B but maybe I misread the description. I had the double room with bathroom and it was very big and clean and modern both the bedroom and bathroom and has air conditioning.
The location is pretty good, a 10-15 minute walk to old Trastevere and then a quick further 15 minute walk or so to central Rome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Good Stay - Very pleasant!
- Alberto (8/5): Nice hotel closed to downtown Roma - It was very nice place and comfortable, breakfast was good too self service ☺
- ZDRAVKO (8/5): From a single traveller - From my point of view as a single traveller:
(+) The single room (ensuite) is really comfortable for one person. The location is excellent - pretty close to the old Trastevere and Gianicolo hill with direct transport connections to Piazza Venezia and Termini. Also, the staff was friendly.
(-) On the other hand, the breakfast was not attractive to me at all.
- Vishal (8/5): Wonderful stay for a couple as well as a family - We had a great stay and the Bnb was very clean and comfortable. The Location was very close to tram station as well as Trastevere train station which helped us to reach the flumicino airport in half an hour
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a great place to stay. The Sara was wonderful, providing lots of information on the area and tourist attractions. I liked having a kitchen I could use and self serve breakfast was great. I could eat whenever I wanted instead of during an allotted time in the morning.
- Pawel (10/5): Highly recommended - A perfect stay in a perfect place. Would recommend to everybody wishing to stay in a very decent place very close to the city centre.
- Krasna (10/5): Excelente - Es un lugar muy cómodo. Su personal fue muy atento. Nos encantó!
- benita (10/5): perfect stay for couples in trastevere - we enjoyed our two nite stay at sara guesthouse.
it was superbly clean and a very good hostess
she was generous in d breakfast offered to us in her kitchen
we wil tell our friends to stay at sara house
it was well worth the money . the location is perfect for us senior couples

- Verified traveler (10/5): Godt ophold - Rigtig fint bed and breakfirst ophold.
- Ken (8/5): Great place for the price! - This is an apartment that provides breakfast. There is a B&B two doors over with the same number address, but with a "d" after the number. That B&B is not this property and they won't help you. You must go to the exact address on your confirmation and ring the outside intercom. Once inside, we were very pleased with everything. We had the "studio" which has its own bath. The room had A/C which was a life-saver because Rome was having a heat wave while we were there. The staff were very helpful with information for getting around Rome on public transportation. The apartment is not in the center of Rome, but it is very close and easily accessible by bus or light rail. The room was clean and the bed was new and firm. The breakfast room was a kitchen well stocked with coffee, cereals, milk, yogurt, toast and juices. Overall, a very good deal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Highly recommended, big room, clean bathroom and great service with great airconditioning!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok stay in Rome - This is an apartment consisting of 4 bedrooms each rented out as hotel rooms. 1 shared bathroom between all rooms. Not sure if there is any room with a private bath since all the other occupants in this B and B were using the 1 bathroom. Owner of the property does not stay in the premises and you must make arrangement ahead of time to make sure that she or someone else will be checking you in at or around the agreed time. Even though we did all of this, she still forgot about us and we ended up waiting more than an hour outside the apt. bldg until she showed up. Very frustrating especially when you're tired from a long flight and train ride fighting off pick pockets in Rome.
The nice thing about the place is the convenience of having the number 8 city tram stop right outside the door. Be warned though that it gets very noisy since it is on a main busy road.this is why I only gave it 2 stars on comfort. Upgrading the single pane windows and doors will make it better.
- Jeffery (8/5): Nice room. - Great apartment, very comfortable. Very easy access to everything. Bus stop and tram right in front of building. Only complaint would be that it is not really a B&B. It is self serve, no breakfast made or even any staff available af all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Its very good location, friendly stuff and comfortable room but the only thing need to be improved is the breakfast ,,,its too poor
- Verified traveler (8/5): Rome - Great location for a cheaper Rome experience. Transport very easy into town. Our room was nice but took until 7pm for it to be ready. Though we were allowed to drop our bags. Breakfast could be better. Tiny kitchen so if you bump into other guests you can't move. Sara was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): stay at sara b and b - Very convenient location with tram out front ,good eats down and around the corner.Rosie and Robert kept everything neat and tidy and were very helpful with directions and such ,recommended
- wilbert (8/5): - Prijs- kwaliteit verhouding goed.
- good for my fam (10/5): Perfect Central Location - Very nice and trendy place. Great location. Nice residential area. Good feel place!
- Verified traveler (8/5): great stay - Very good stay, and there was even free laundry in the apartment and a living room and a kitchen. It's more of an apartment so you share the apartment with 2 other people on the floor but you have a separate room with a lock. It's not like a 24 hour hotel staff, but as long as you let Sara know when you are arriving she is incredibly helpful.
- Silvia (10/5): Mature Couple - Everything about this hotel was ideal for us. The location is excellent, easy to connect to all the sightseeing we were interested in and also to travel by train to other cities and to connect to and from the Airport. Rossie and Sara were very helpful and accommodating. Found a great restaurant within walking distant right near the train station.
- Alan (8/5): Rome in trastevere - Greeat location clean comfy beds
- AJAI (8/5): good value for money - room small. Wi-fi very week. Good for the price you pay in Rome.
- Dulcie (8/5): La Stanza B & B, Trastavare - Strictly speaking this accommodation is not a hotel. It is an apartment comprising of I would say three rooms. two doubled nedrooms and a communal bhath and toilet and a small signle en-suite bedroom. I had a lovely stay in Rome. The location of the accommodation is ideal for public transport to the town centre. sara, the lady who owns the property is lovely and extremely helpful. I would certainly recommend it if on a short stay visit to Rome.
- Jessica (8/5): Good deal in a nice neighborhood - Nice stay in a nice neighborhood. Our room was comfortable and clean, but the AC in our friend's room was broken and they had quite a hot night. The staff did try to fix it but it still didn't work well. Other than that it was a lovely place to stay.
- Chris (10/5): Great Stay - Sara was great she met me early and allowed me to check in. Gave me a map of the city and provided recommendations on where to eat and how to get around. I would stay here again.
- Colleen (10/5): Close to tram easy access to the sights - i had a great time. before I had even left Sara had sent emails to see if there was anything I needed.Sara went out of her way to meet me early at the flat and let me change and leave my bag before check in time. then she printed out the directions i needed.Nice rooms and very well kept.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice place, would stay here again. Was a little out of the way from the center though, but the 8 bus stop that goes into the center is right in front of the hotel, so the center is easily accessible from there.
- Greg (8/5): Sara is very nice! - This place is close to the Testevere terminal but it's not very close to the sights. Further north would be better but once you get used to the bus lines it gets easier to get around. The double bed is 2 singles slid together made into one. Thw A/C works well and the bathroom is real nice. So is the kitchen. Sara is super and Rosie is very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice home-y B & B close to everything - The experience was great! Sara speaks great English for those English speaking travelers and gives you directions from the airport to the bed and breakfast. The area is a little sketchy looking but was safe and close to many of the tourist attractions in Rome. The good thing about the area the B & B was located in was that it wasn't touristy so you avoided the overpriced food etc. and were able to embrace the culture better. Our stay was beautiful there and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for more than just a hotel experience!
- Emily (10/5): Great stay in Rome! - We stayed here for 4 nights in late February/early March and would definitely recommend it. It's not in the center of everything, but public transportation is right outside and gets you to all the sights right away. We chose it because it was close to the train station which is how we commuted to and from the airport. We also took the tram/bus to the more lively part of Trastevere and it only took 5-7 minutes. The B&B is more like an apartment, but our room with a private bathroom was comfortable and clean and the simple breakfast (cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee, juice, fruit, etc.) was exactly what we needed. Sara was also lovely and very helpful. The free wifi was great as well. If you're looking for a fancy place in the center of it all, you may want to look elsewhere, but you'll pay way more. If you're looking for a place to mostly put your stuff that's near public transportation, this is a great choice.
- Scott (8/5): I'd stay there again - After some issues getting checked in (because the normal employee was away), the stay was fine. Very comfortable bed. Nice shower. Did not have breakfast because I took a very early train to the airport. The location was very convenient for that.
