Nur ungesundes, Weissmehlbrot, kein gutes Vollkorn- oder Mischkornbrot, keinen laktosefreien Joghurt, keine laktosefreie Milch im Angebot, schade, das finde ich nicht zeitgemäss. Das Rührei hat mir nicht geschmeckt; es war sowohl vom Geschmack als auch von der Konsistenz nicht überzeugend und schmeckte wässrig. Wir bekamen zudem einen Zimmerschlüssel für ein Zimmer, das bereits durch andere Gäste belegt war. Das sollte nicht sein.

Bianka (9/5): - Die beiden Panorama-Fenster und der Blick aus dem Bett waren überwältigend! Das Zimmer und das Bad waren super sauber und alles war durchdacht! Wir haben zum zweiten Mal eine Zwischenübernachtung in Chur auf dem Weg nach bzw. von Italien gemacht! Nur unweit des Hotels gibt es eine Bushaltestelle, sodass man nach nur wenigen Stationen die Altstadt von Chur erreichen kann. Der öffentliche Nahverkehr ist mit einer Gästekarte kostenlos! Die Altstadt von Chur ist sehr schön! Leider war die zweite Zwischenübernachtung deutlich teurer als die erste auf dem Hinweg. Die Leistung und Zimmerausstattung waren jedoch mehr oder weniger ähnlich.

886antoniof (10/5): Mercure Chur City West - I booked for two nights with a friend and it was a great choice to stay. Well connected with bus number 6 just from train station to the hotel, or bus 10/11/12 which will drop off on the road over the hotel in front of Burger King. They send also the Chur free public transport the day before via email which is free of charge. Upon check-in, the lady at reception was very friendly; a friendliness that was not artificial, and seemed to be very honest, which I appreciate nowdays. Room was on fourth floor corner, overlooking the lovely mountain of Canton Grison. I loved the nespresso machine in the room and all was well set. We did also apply for green key skip the clean, where you can leave a small bag outside the room door handle ,and in exchange we received biscuits in order to skip the clean for the first night. We enjoyed our stay even more due to less tourists in this time of the year. Chur old town is a cozy town to relax .

It was also very convenient to have a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was ok, but it would have been nice to have a slightly wider variety of options for breakfast.

Plus we had an unexpected bonus of free travel passes with our room. Well equipped rooms, lots of room amenities. Very helpful staff. Limited selection for breakfast, but enough to get us started for the day.
Hodges105 (10/5): Beautiful views, beautiful Hotel - We stayed in Chur for the night as we were getting the Bernina Express the next morning. Absolutely beautiful place and this hotel was fabulous. Staff friendly and helpful, check in was quick and easy. Access to everything needed. Free bus service right outside, shopping centre next door and food places near by also. We didnt eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Room was big, modern, clean and comfortable and the views were breathtaking! Wish we would of booked longer so we could appreciate them more . Thank you for a pleasant stay

Bianka (10/5): Tolles Hotel, um Chur zu erkunden oder für eine Zwischenübernachtung auf dem Weg nach Italien - Das Hotel liegt bei einem großen Einkaufszentrum, in dessen Tiefgarage auch die Mercure Parkplätze zu finden sind. Der Lift von dort führt praktischerweise direkt in die oberen Stockwerke. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und äußerst sauber. Der Blick von den beiden großen Panoramafenstern auf die (zum Teil noch verschneiten) Berge ist großartig! Schade nur, dass etliche moderne Gebäude im Vordergrund die Aussicht etwas stören. Ansonsten war das Zimmer superpraktisch ausgestattet: Viele Steckdosen, eine extra Steckdosenleiste, eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine, Wassergläser und Karaffe, (richtige) Zahnputzgläser, Kosmetikspiegel, hochwertiges Toilettenpapier, flauschige Handtücher, begehbare Dusche mit extra Duschvorhang für das Fenster, Fußbodenheizung, Parkett, Kühlschrank, Safe, beschriftete Lichtschalter und Schalter für die Jalousien. Eine kleine Sitzecke mit Sesseln, Glastisch und Lämpchen sowie ein bequemes Bett und ein Bad mit Tageslicht tragen ebenfalls zum großen Komfort bei. Darüber hinaus gab es viel Platz für das Gepäck. Die Lüftung / Klimaanlage konnte man anscheinend nicht ausschalten (Automatikmodus) und war nachts deutlich wahrzunehmen. Die Regulierung des Wasserhahns in der Dusche war etwas schwierig. Den richtigen Punkt für die Temperatur zu finden war nicht einfach. Entweder war das Wasser sehr heiß oder sehr kalt ... Aber das nur am Rande!

Daniel (10/5): - Zimmer und Einrichtung sind top, modern und zweckmässig, das Bett ist sehr gut. Gewöhnungsbedürftig sind die Bedienknöpfe für das Licht und die Storen. Die Erreichbarkeit mit dem Bus ist an den Wochentagen super (Bushsltestelle vor dem Hotel). Leider aber spät am Abend und am Sonntag fährt der Bus nicht. Schade. Nächste bediente Bushsltestelle ist dann 10 Fussminuten entfernt.

ChritineT (10/5): My Receptionist Saviour - I would like to send a huge thank you to the lovely lady on your reception desk (about 9.30 a.m. Tuesday 10th) who rescued me from a potentially horrendous disaster. We booked out of the hotel and got the bus to the station to join the Glacier Express. Halfway on the bus journey I realised I had left my rucksack at the bus stop outside the hotel holding my passport, phone, money in fact everything which I needed for my travels. My husband phoned the hotel and the very kind lady receptionist went outside to the bus stop and found my rucksack. What a massive relief for me. The consequences for my foolishness would have been absolutely enormous. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to thank her personally as the bus driver waited while my husband ran in to collect it as we were on the clock for getting the train. I hope my lady reads this and knows I will be eternally grateful to her and her professionalism will be talked about in our family for years to come. It keeps our faith in people helping strangers very much alive. Lots of thanks. Best wishes to you.

SHBBB (10/5): MODERN AND CENTRAL - Modern hotel with spacious and very comfortable rooms. The corner rooms offer a beautiful view over the mountains and the valley, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. Friendly and welcoming staff, central location, and secure parking. A very convenient choice when staying in Chur.
ashuc (8/5): Comfortable stay - Barely there for a day . Reached on Sunday left on Monday morning. The resrurant is closed on a Sunday. But there are quite a few fast food joints within 5 mins walking distance . A quick bus ride takes you to old town and lots of resturants there. The hotel is in a business district ao dont expect to see many people in the evenings. From the train station Bus 10 Bus 11 and Bus 6 come here. BUS 6 right infrint of the hotels door but it doesnt operate on Sunday. There is a train also from the station but approach from there is a little convoluted. Follow Google maps.

The facilities are lovely, but the service and amenities were disappointing: no coat or slippers were provided, and even the welcome drink wasn’t automatic - you had to turn a wheel to get it (if you’re lucky- I wasn’t). Staff didn’t ask how my stay was but immediately charged CHF 24 for a breakfast I hadn’t pre-booked. Here they were very attentive… The room itself was very comfortable, but the overall experience felt impersonal and unwelcoming.

jazpops (8/5): Nice hotel, nice town - too short a stay. - Extremely friendly and helpful reception staff. Nice hotel: very comfortable and the best shower I have had in my life (not kidding)! Unfortunately, we arrived after dark (getting off the Bernina Express) and had to leave earlyish too in order to get onto the Glacier Express so we didn't see too much of Chur (pronounced as a k not a ch apparently!). Switzerland is quite expensive but breakfast here was around 25 CHF per person so we declined and used the Co-op at the station, where we bought some snacks for the train ride. On arrival, it is a little larger than the other small towns we had stayed in. You can walk to the hotel but its about 25 minutes. The number 6 bus goes there - go upstairs from the railway arrivals to the main bus stops - I think it was stop C but have a look for the number 6. It stops right outside the hotel and is at the terminus so you can't go wrong - and takes about 5 minutes - maybe 6! You can pay on board using a contactless method too. It's only 3 CHF! Well worth it. When you check in, you are emailed a card that gives you free public transport as well as some local reductions. That is quite useful. We downloaded the QR code to wallets but you can ask for a card too I believe. The hotel is right next to a shopping centre with a restaurant and for those that wish, there is a 3-Amigos next to the railway station and a Burger King or KFC close to the hotel. We had a walk round the centre in the morning and it was clean, modern and friendly. The train stations for the Bernina Express and the other main rail services are right together so you don't need to find two stations. Overall, a nice short stay; we could have had another day or two to explore more. There appears to be quite a few things to do.

Martin (7/5): Gutes, modernes Hotel mit einem einzigen Mangel: Heizung/Lüftung könnte besser sein. - Moderne, zweckmässige Einrichtung, schöne Aussicht, gutes Frühstück Heizung/Lüftung: Wir fanden keine Gebrauchsanweisung. Schliesslich merkten wir, dass man die vorgegebene Temperatur lediglich um maximal 1,5 Grad C hinauf- bzw. herunterstellen kann. Da der starke Luftzug störte, wollten wir die Anlage ganz abstellen, was erst nach mehreren Versuchen gelang. Schade, dass keine Gebrauchsanweisung aufliegt.
