- Natdanai (6/5): - The hotel does not have a refrigerator.
- Thaesu (10/5): - The room is clean and the staff are friendly.
- Yelena (2/5): - Cockroaches and stains on the walls. Gross.
- Lance (4/5): - Terrible ac, asked to be moved. First suite they moved me into i seen massive cockroach go under bed on main floor. Went back to hot room on higher level.
- Anthony (6/5): - The room looked just like the photos. Spacious with a large wardrobe, mini fridge, decent bathroom.
What doesn't come through is the bed. Oh, its a nice large queen sized bed. Only it's all box spring. There is no mattress. Only a hard box spring with a very thin, worn cushion that makes it marginally better than sleeping on the floor.
Minus the bed, the room is clean and the location is in a safe area.
- mick (8/5): Pleasant place - Nice suitable stay in bangkok easy travel routes around the city on your doorstep, yes i recomend this place
- Verified traveler (6/5): My favorite hotel in need of refurbishment - Always liked this hotel for the location in between the airport and BKK... it might seem a bit off but the area in itself is great.
Unfortunately the beds are somewhat old and worn so the sleeping comfort is not great... it ought to be time for them to do an upgrade.
- 560quinns (2/5): Please fire front desk woman - I was satisfied with my stay until check out. I borrowed an umbrella from the front desk. I own that I lost it and offered to pay. The woman said 100 baht. I said ok. I came back down ready to check out and the woman says 300 baht because I left a 100$ USD as my deposit. She refused to give me my money unless I gave her 300 baht. We argued and I ended up walking to find and umbrella at a local store for 150 baht. She wasted my time. I was late arriving to the airport, but luckily my flight was delayed.
It actually was a nice room but this interaction left a bad taste in my mouth.
- Travelersmuscat (2/5): No parking’ - -Located far from public transport and on very busy traffic road, just for crossing for one road need to wait long time,
No parking available!! It says parking but no parking , only two car can park in front where is not for parking!
No fridge in room, no water boiler!!
+Daily Bottled water available!
A/c works well,
Overall not right place to stay! With this budget definitely can find better place.
- Sue and Alex (6/5): decent cheap hotel good for Backpackers - We stayed at the Loft 2 - 14 Jan 2017. The location isnt the best, because of the distance to the On Nut BTS, but there are plenty of taxis that take you there, dont accept anything more than 50 - 70 baht, if the taxis ask more, get another one, there are plenty of them.
I would say that this is a hostel but once you get past the distance, its a good hostel, our bed was made freshly every day, bathroom sanitized, look, its affordable, we paid only $400 NZ$ for 12 nights, no surprise charges for us, no charge for extra towels or anything and bottled water at no extra cost.
I would give it a higher rating if the distance was better. The only other thing is that the wifi, it does cut out, but 1 night out of 12 nights we were there. use two wifi passwords to get around this. Prior to booking, dont bother calling them from overseas like we did, just email them.
Overall, its a decent place to stay with decent facilities, friendly staff, good room service (sometimes they knocked on our door before we were ready to leave, which is prompt), and we didnt get any food but I recommend going to surrounding seven elevens, and wait to the BTS cause there is a Tesco Lotus there and very good eating!
- Mogana85 (2/5): Worst Stay Ever.. - I have been traveling around Asia for many years. This is one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed. This supposed to be a fun trip with my colleagues. The hotel is really small, totally understandable; reasonably priced. But what’s with the dusty dodgy rooms and the rude receptionist and helpers? Literally throwing the breakfast to us! Seriously!? The location sucks so does the workers! Train them at least to speak basic English and teach basic manners.
27th to 30th Nov.
- nickdY7588ZJ (6/5): Normal hotel - We spent our last 2 nights in Thailand in Loft 77.
It's a nice hotel that looks modern.
You can easily access it by taking the Airport rail link and the Bangkok skytrain. From On Nut street you can take any pick-up taxi towards Loft 77.
Our room was clean but warm when we arrived. Luckily the air conditioning did his work.
The bed hard and the bathroom rather small.
But in general ok hotel for it's price.
- oliviersophie50 (4/5): 400 baths for early check in and not very nice welcome - Obviously this not expensive but we could have expected little warmer welcome....400 baths for early check is 50% of the room cost. The welcome at the reception was awful. It also not near the center but advantage is that it is near the airport which is something we were looking for
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible hotel. Staffs are rude. - I won't recommend this hotel to friends or family. Staffs are rude, room is dirty, no transportation, there also check in fee.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not close to the airport - It was advertised as being close to the airport, however it was not the case. I was on an transit overnight stay in Bangkok. Despite showing 3 taxi drivers the provided map and address, no one knew how to get there.. it took my taxi driver 1.5 hours. And we had tried calling multiple times the phone number provided and no one would pick up.
The hotel staff lacked hospitality
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good place - Always good here despite some minor flaws
- Voyager (6/5): Neat place - I like this place... stayed here a few times since it close to the airport but also not so far from the happenings in town, but the surroundings has a lot to offer too.
- Conner (10/5): Nice little hotel tucked away on Sukhumvit - Great little place if you are just looking for a bed, nothing fancy. A little farther away from the airport than listed on Expedia, but not bad. Staff was very nice and eager for us to stay with them. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Proximity to Airport - The hotel was todl to be in 0,3 miles distance from Airport. When I got to taxi the driver told it is in much longer distance and suggested another hotel more close to Airport, which I took.
- Richard000001 (10/5): The best boutique hotel in Bangkok - I was really looking forward to my stay at the Light loft as I am a real fan of highly stylised boutique hotels, and it was certainly no disappointment. Right from the start I found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful, and by the end of my 3 day stay I felt I got to know some of the staff quite well.
Though the staff are really professional and are a great asset, it was the decor and design of the Light loft that I fell in love with. This hotel is a true city hotel in that the decor has a modern industrious/vintage look and feel, however largely it is dedicated to creating an insight into Bangkok city life, which it achieves. Each floor has unique artwork on each floor from paintings to metal sculpture, which I found out by being a bit of a geek and visiting them.
The rooms were spacious, and had great light fixtures and furniture. The lighting has a non-direct (blinding) theme, which makes returning to you room after a busy day of sight-seeing, a relaxing place to rest. Which brings me onto my favourite part of my stay, which is the mattresses. It’s not often I care for commenting on a mattress, however the mattresses at the light loft are brilliant, not to soft, and not too hard. I always struggle with sleep with I’m am abroad, however for my entire stay there I fell asleep instantly and didn’t wake up with aches and pains.
Overall I loved the Light Loft, and can’t wait to stay there again, highly HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
- Kawaye (8/5): Great affordable hotel located along main road - Wonderful place, great room, the design great, clean.
- Jake (10/5): Very good value for money! - The hotel staff are great, they got me checked in very quickly and easily. I was worried on opening the door to my room but was really shocked and surprised at how good the room actually is! It felt very clean and new. Some artwork in the room and walls makes it feel not so boring like many other budget hotels. And if you don't mind a bed that is slightly hard, then you should have no problems! Getting food in this area (On Nut) is no problem at all, plenty of restaurants and street vendors, but expect only Thai/Asian foods... You can take the public mini vans for 8 baht to the Big C supermarket which is about 2-3 minute walk from the On Nut BTS Train Station, otherwise, motorcycle taxis and regular taxi cabs are always available just like the rest of Bangkok!
All in all, for the money that you pay for, it definitely does not feel like a budget hotel, great hotel! Would definitely come back to stay here again!
- Resort433193 (6/5): Bad location - The hotel is not bad if you will use taxi all the time you can stay here. Its far from the bts.
There is no hairdryer on the hotel may be u can ask for it to the receptionist.
It is near to rod fai araund 70 baht by taxi.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Stop-over near airport - Used for a 1 night stop-over before flying, wanted close to airport but an alternative to staying in Lat Krabang. Hotel was clean and had basic facilities & seems to cater more for back-packers. Very limited for car parking and not easy to park near hotel.
- SamuiEcoBoutique (2/5): NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL, the worst place - NOT RECOMMENDED
The whole team at the hotel, especially the ladies and man at front desk are the worst ever. Very bad attitude and customer service.
Story is :
First day they couldn't find our reservation in their system.
So they found an available room and let us in.
Second, my friend tried to call from the outside and they couldn't find our name ! So it took 10 min to connect.
English is very very very bad. A kid would have better english than them.
The manager or lady at the front desk is impolite and gossiping about us and in front of us, luckily my thai friend was here to translate the whole conversation. They kept blaming on the customers and when the hotel's owner came they quickly shut up and stopped.
I will never recommend this hotel to anyone else.
You could have better places for this price range.
Also, their email system dont works as I tried to send a PDF to print but he kept blaming we did something wrong so I had to bring my laptop and print from there !
The man is very slow and aggressive when talking to us. Bad attitude.
I would fire or completly change the team if I was the owner.
- GlobalPocket (6/5): Abit fat from downtown but good stay - I read few people had problems with staff. All I can say is they were very profesional in my case. Rooms are spaceous with nice closets. The view on lower floor is dull as there are buildings arounds but cant get more for 20USD a night in Bangkok. They also have a security infront. Nearby BTS so you can be in center within 15 to 20 min.
- Galaxy_Hitchhiker180 (4/5): Clean rooms, Disappointing service - We stayed here for a total of 3 nights and the only reason we booked this hotel was because it was on travel points.
Our main gripe was with the service. The staff were practically useless! They don't speak much English, so it was a real struggle to ask general questions about the area.
One day we opted to not have the room cleaned, but wanted new towels. When we approached the front desk later that evening to get new towels, they informed us that the cleaning room was locked and we had to wait for the next day for clean ones.
The so-called coffee shop is the actual reception area. Which ironically ran out off coffee. They don't have much more than beer, soda and water available.
There isn't much around the area to be totally honest. You'll be about a 50 baht taxi ride to On Nut BTS station. And a 200 baht taxi ride to the airport.
I will say that the rooms are in fact clean and comfortable, but that's about it. This would be a half decent place if they invested in friendlier and more helpful staff.
- carleyw2016 (8/5): Lovely hotel, bad location - This hotel was really stylish, modern and comfortable. Lovely big room and no street noise. Very reasonable pricing. I loved it here however it was just too out the way. It took us 30-40 mins to walk to the nearest bts station!! The area is very quite and we couldn't find any surrounding restaurants nearby. It's a shame this hotel isn't in a better location.
- Gavin (8/5): No frills, no dramas - Clean room, 1/2hr from airport. Suprisingly comfy hard bed, no road noise and decent shower. For one night with an early flight it was perfect for us at the price. We ate at a local restaurant which was very good. Close to a 7/11 and.
- 697graemeh (8/5): Out of the Way Can Be a Good Thing! - Really enjoyed my stay here. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff always friendly and helpful.
No real F&B, but I think for the price expectations should not be so high! Don't bother with breakfast packages.
It is easy to get around, you will need to travel like a local, but taxis are everywhere if you prefer. If you like being harassed by tuk tuk drivers this is not the place for you. No partying 'tourists' here. Plenty of local food around. The BTS isn't too far away, but not within walking distance for most.
It is out of the way, but if you are in Bangkok for a while you will get used to how the transport system works. Actually, it's simple and efficient.
If you want 'the works', stay in one of the world class hotels and pay world class prices. I've done this many times. It all depends on what you are looking for, it was a pleasant change for me.
- Kritika01 (8/5): Comfortable Stay at a Reasonable Price - Hotel room was very comfortable & price was cheap. The room is big enough for 2 people & washroom is clean. It has a comfortable lift as well. The staff is friendly. The hotel is accessible via public transport though not very close to metro. Closest metro is 15/20 mins away via mini vans. Mini vans & cabs are easily available for this hotel from the metro. The cabs may not be easily available from hotel after 11 pm.
- 659pangb (8/5): It's good enough for what you pay for. - In my opinion, the hotel live up to the rate they charge. Other people may expect more than that but i think for the rate, they offer pretty good deal for the room. I was staying on second floor. Nice room and plenty of space in the room. The room is clean. The housekeeper is quite loud in the morning. It's the only thing that i would bring up. would visit again for sure if i have to be around there.
- domplzblv (4/5): Coffee Shop Hostel - Like the other reviewers I would struggle to call this a hotel. It is a hostel attached to a coffee shop.
One of the hardest beds I've slept on outside China.
As others have mentioned the major issue is that this is not in a central location. You must be prepared to live like the locals do as you will be lucky to find another language other than Thai. Great street food nearby as a consequence.
- 273sarahu (4/5): Not recommended - It is not a hotel, more like a coffee shop with some rooms over it. It's on a busy street and it has virtually no parking. It's far away from anything of interest. The rooms are reasonably large and clean and the bed is big but it is incredibly inconvenient to use. No chair at the desk but some kind of uncomfortable wicker stool that we mistook for a laundry basket at first. A kettle with no cups (and when we went to ask for one they gave us a dirty cup) or spoons or coffee or tea. A leaky toilet. A bed so hard it is literally indistinguishable from a carpeted floor and the ultimate ridiculousness, when we asked for extra pillows, they told us were had to pay 100B. You will also discover that the food on offer at the reception desk/coffee shop service counter is just heated up 7/11 food or single ingredient sandwiches made in their toaster oven of which half the options are out of stock.
I am not a fussy traveler and I have lived and traveled in Asia for a long time. I've stayed in some seedy places and not disliked it nearly as much as this place. Don't waste your time and money, it might look like a good deal on paper but you will soon find that you spend all the money you save on basic things you would expect from a hotel.
- madonp (8/5): Good but a little far - At that time we were living outside Bangkok so every weekend we try to book hotels where we can stay for 2 nights. I love this hotel its so quirky. With all the ikea stuff around it surely is a delight. The rooms are spacious and lovely. There's also a cute coffee place downstairs where you can also get drinks.
I love this place, its a little far off but it still is really nice.
Totally worth it. and its cheap too!
- Wannarat (2/5): Don't book.bad service no parking, bit by centipe - The hotel had a very limited parking, only 3 spaces with no roofs and quite steep - it was almost literally on the sidewalk. I was exhausted from work and just needed to relax, got to the hotel - parked my car which by the way, wasn't very easy to park due to limited space and the steep path. I noticed another car came up and double parked in front of my car. Went up to my room ready to jump in the shower that's when the security guard knocked on my door said I had to move my car because the car that blocked me weren't leaving as early as I would and they didn't want to wake those people up to move it in the morning. So that meant they demanded I get dressed immediately and give up my parking space, park on the street so the guy that came after me could snooze away in the morning. So I had to. How lovely. Next morning- I was bitten by a centipede in the shower. By the way, no refrigerator in the room. Other places I have stayed nearby all had a fridge. Traffic was so bad during rush hour- took me at least 30 mins to get 3 km. far. Staff was not that friendly. Will not stay here again even if given a free night stay. My only advice is you should look at other places, skip this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay hotel. Fine for a stop over. - Pleasant stay. Quite. Fine for a night stpp over before flight from Bangkok. About 15 mins drive to airport. Only niggle was that wifi didnt work in the morning and they couldnt print our boarding passes for us. Also getting there in the taxi was a nightmare!!!! Taxi driver did not know where it was despite having the full address writen down. Make sure you print out booking for address and telephone number of hotel for taxi man And give to him at the airport.
- phandaleea (4/5): Not recommended - this hotel not recommended location. Really far from public transportation, and difficult to cachted the taxi to took me to this hotel. I asked with a women who want to went to the same place, "why no one taxi want to took in this address?" she said that bcos really bad traffic jam in that route. So i give you an opinion to dont book this hotel. Bcos really hard to got this place.
But for the room overall is good. their have a big room, and a big toilet. clean and no bfast.
The staff not really helpfull, bcos when i difficult to brought my lugage, no one staff help me.
- Ejaz (6/5): very good - but no have refrigrator in side room and side of city centre
- Bhaskor (2/5): Never waste your money in this hotel - Avoid at any rate.. Not a proper hotel- just few row rooms.. on a main street with no space or view from window, odd staff who will not inform if someone has come to meet you and he is about to leave, and room phone not connected, no in-house restaurant to have a basic food when needed, rigid staff with rigid policy (paid Rs.800 for early check-in and again Rs.800 for late-check out!), at a location where delivery of food charges extra as it is far, no shopping place nearby, and cabs do not know the hotel! slow wifi. never take this hotel..(only positives is that they have allowed to use the microwave to cook some food when we needed some food for ourselves).. this is one of the worst hotel I stayed that re-railed my entire trip as being in odd location and dropping my mood..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good valu - Rooms are very clean, bathroom facilities good, beds hard but otherwise fine. Near the airport but otherwise very out of the way, didn't see any other travellers / tourists. Good value for money. Free water!
- Nat_B86 (8/5): great hotel, great price! - We only stayed at loft 77 for one night but it was a very good experience. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The staff were polite and attentive and location was good for the price. It is very easy to get to the bts and sukhumvit road. We took a songtaew for 7 baht to the end of sukhumvit 77 the bts is only 5 minutes walk from there. The economy rooms were very basic no extras and only 1 towel per customer, half a toilet roll in the bathroom and a huge wardrobe but no hangers these are my only niggles about this hotel. Will definitely stay again!
- TomMPreuss (10/5): Awesome!!! - Great free wifi and the staff are very friendly and helpful. .i be coming back soon ! Mak mak..also not too far from the city if tou know your way round bangkok that is .. It is easy and again if you don't know the staff will help you every step of the way.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Reasonable priced hotel in On Nut Road - For 800 Baht you get a nice, clean and comfortable room. Not more, not less. In my opinion it is a very reasonable priced hotel. Guests should be aware that the On Nut BTS station is not in walking distance.
- Mick (8/5): Nice little hotel near the inner city - Being the first time in Thailand,it was a learning experience that was made easier by the advice of the staff.
When I found a problem with the landing door which was worrying, they moved me to another room straight away.
They went to great length to explain how transport worked and mark out on maps the places I wished to go.
I will stay there again should I return to Thailand.
- Tom preuss (10/5): brilliant stay!! - We stayed for a while and then some more as this is one of the best places I have ever stayed ..clean clean and clean again ..everything looks brand new and for this price...well.just great staff and great place...We will be back..
- Tom preuss (10/5): Fantastic !!!! - If you plan nong a trip to bangkok the this is definitely the place to stay...this should be 5 star..
Thank.you to all the staff..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great service, bad location and bathroom - The staff was great, very friendly. Room was big and bed was very clean and comfortable. The location though is about 30 minutes walking from nearest BTS station, so you would be taking a taxi every time you want to go and come back. This wouldn't be a problem if the location wasn't so difficult to spot. The taxis do not know the location of the hotel, which becomes frustrating when you have to guide them every time you want to go back. The showers were frankly horrible. The water leaks all over the bathroom floor after taking a shower. The temperature of the shower fluctuated from hot to cold. No hot water in the sink, so i had to shave with cold water or awkwardly tried to move the shower hose to the sink. Internet connection was also very slow and dropped frequently. The staff was wonderful and the room was clean, I just wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved the hotel facilities, highly recommended - Lovely staff and good hotel facilities for not much budget. No complains. 3.5kms far from on-nut sky train station but accessable via mini-vans and taxi. Best one can get for the value quoted. Would surely recommend to my friends.
- jurgen (8/5): Mid Town - Nice large clean room mid town
- Paul (8/5): Nice hotel but far from everything - For the price this hotel is really good. I stayed in a standard double room, which was quite large for the price including toiletries, coffee maker, free wi-fi and a small balcony. The room was really clean, the staff was really helpful and extremely polite; they even were willing to call a cab for me every time so that I don't get ripped off by taxis (which is very common for foreigners in Bangkok).
The only thing I disliked about this hotel was its location which is far from everything. Even the nearest BTS station is quite far if you like walking so you basically have to take a cab to everywhere (unless you know how to use local buses but I do not). Be careful to always use a taxi with a meter else which is really cheap (never more than 200 baht even for more than 20km!). Another option is to take a cab to BTS Onnut (5 mins away) and then use skytrain which is cheap and fast. Also be warned that when coming back a lot of taxi drivers seem unable to find the hotel even when given printed instructions in Thai. I do not know if they are just incompetent or trying to rip you off, but a way around this is to just say Onnut 33 without hotel name etc and they'll know what you mean.
Overall a very pleasant hotel that I'll definitely visit again if I ever go back to Bangkok.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel too far from skytrain - Hotel is clean, rooms are comfortable, but not a good location. Too far from skytrain and in an area with nothing else there. Staff not too helpful, came to the hotel with lots of bags and the male staff member looked at us then let the door shut in our faces.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Location very remote and too far from anything - . Hotel was small but nice, but the hotel staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. It takes a long time to get to any of the sightseeing or shopping, and spent a lot of money in travel and time that would have been better spent on a more central hotel, and saved us a lot of time and hassle. Breakfast was a very hard toasted sandwich with cheese, and a very unnaturally sweet tasting orange juice, avoid it.
- miss kates (4/5): Hidden hotel on sukhumvit far from everything - hotel staff was rude, gave us a hard time over paying the bill for breakfast from the previous day in which we payed, plus tipped
we asked for two face towels which were not provided, and were told we couldn't get them because we were in a standard room- which was not explained on their website, they finally ended up giving it to us after arguing with them, then when we checked out they tried to accuse us of stealing their face towels!
Also fire alarm went off and they tried to blame us for smoking in the room, when we don't even smoke!
- miss kates (4/5): disappointed- expected more from reviews read - rude staff, hotel cleanliness was disappointing, and far from everything
- B R (6/5): Hotel with gorgeous room lacking of real service - This hotel's main edge is room itself -impeccable room and even spacious; if you consider the room to be the first option whenever you choose a hotel, this is it with a low price for a night. However, the staffs here are not quite helpful, especially in terms of English proficiency. Only two staffs here speak English but one is not as polite as any; the other rarely smiles with even her attitude making the vibe heavy. The most shortcomings are location and neighborhood. If you want to go to a downtown, you have to ride a taxi, or a minivan to the nearby Skytrain station; if you take the sky train with sweat draining your shirts because of walking to the station (minivan stops in front of a shopping center away from the station), it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get there. Lastly, the neighborhood is underdeveloped; you should be careful when you walk around with new shoes; there are a lot of dog stool, rats, etc. Plus, wifi comes on and off. I stayed here for as long as you wouldn't wish;so, if you stay here for a few days, this hotel will barely reveal any disadvantages I have found.
- David (10/5): Quality Hotel @ a great price - The staff of Loft 77 are very helpful. I keep choosing this hotel for the price and reliable cleanliness. This rooms are big compared to other hotels around the same price. I can get to the hotel via ON NUT BTS. There are few of my favorite vegetarian restaurants nearby as well. I also get fresh orange juice and pineapple near the BTS station. whenever I'm in Bangkok I choose Loft77. You can get there via taxi or local bus or minibus. I don't mind the distance of the location because of the transit choices available.
- David (10/5): 77 Ways of Goodness - Loft 77 has made a big impression on me. This is my second booking and they staff remains to bring the best of comfort with a satisfying environment. Even two of the staff remember me from 7 months ago. Loft 77 is a true example of customer service. I will be booking with them next week.
- Julie (8/5): decent hotel - a bit far from subway, you have to take mini bus to get to this hotel. but room was comfortable, and staffs were nice, helpful.
- Michael (10/5): Excellent place to stay - This is a great place to stay. Clean and friendly. And the beds not a rock. Hehe. Will stay here always when I come to Bangkok.
- dave (2/5): No INTERNET!!! - i didn't even stay the night. I checked out because the internet didn't work. that is just unacceptable. Also, the place is WAY too far from the skytrain.
- Jared (10/5): Great hotel, awesome staff - We stayed here 2 nights before our flight. For the price, it was incredible. Looks great and clean. Staff incredibly helpful. We booked late at night and so some confusion about getting an extra bed in the room, but they worked it out. Since we had 3 they put us in a room with a king instead of the standard double, and there was plenty of space for the extra bed. Breakfast was continental, very tasty. Other cafe food options were actually pretty good. Rooms all nicely decorated yet simple, wireless and AC worked wonderfully. Staff was very helpful even hailing a taxi for us twice, once at 2:30am on checkout. One of the shifts didn't understand much english, but still did their best to figure out what we wanted. Our taxi driver did have a little trouble finding it, but it was 2am and things still worked out. Overall, awesome hotel stay especially for the Hostel-level price. Location is not great, with no places to eat or shop nearby as far as we could figure out, but a 60 baht taxi took us to a mall with great Thai food and shopping.
- Matt (10/5): Underrated hotel, cheap, great customer service! - I stayed here as i wanted to source the area. Being an English teacher, i wanted to have a good location to stay so i could get around to find some work. It is situated on the busy road of Sukhumvit 77, which, yes it is busy, but this means more public transport... There are a number of open mini-bus type things that stop outside the hotel when flagged down (i saw numbers 1, 4, 6 and 7 all going to different places) and they cost 7 baht each... The hotel is not far from the BTS, it is also right in between two big shopping malls, the Big C and Paradise. The decor of the hotel is beautiful, very modern. And the staff's English is very good, especially the Philipino lady that works there, shes excellent. The mattress in the room was a bit hard for me, but otherwise, the room servicing was excellent. I stayed for 3 nights and it helped me fall in love with Bangkok, where ill be working for a considerable amount of time now, and it also highlighted how helpful the Thai people actually are. Lastly, and its of massive importance to me in any foreign country... Security is Key carded. Best thing ever.
- Marcus (8/5): Had a lovely stay at Loft 77 - I stayed at Loft 77 while arranging a visa to Myanmar.
Been to BKK before and this time I decided not to join the backpacker-elite around Khao san road. It turned out to be a great choice.
Loft 77 is very clean, cheap and the staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. Although the location is somewhat off, you can easily get a taxi (bike is much faster than car) to go to the more hectic parts of the city. WiFi is free and the best I've had in asia so far... Also, breakfast is good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Terrific boutique hotel - I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service at this hotel. It was our last night in Bangkok and we wish we'd found this place sooner. We will definitely book here again. All the staff were amazing.
- David (10/5): Quiet hotel. Excellent wifi. Great Staff. - First of all there needs to be more Loft 77s in the world. This hotel is worth the cost even though the location doesn't work for touristy type. But I wasn't traveling as a tourist. I wanted to stay in the neighborhood and experience the local culture. Loft77 provided that and more. The rooms are very spacious and thoughtful interior design.
The bed was AMAZING! I slept very well. I should have asked about the bedding. I would love to have a bed like that one.
I highly recommend this modern facility matched with a great and happy staff. I am all so happy to have pick this as my first stop in Thailand. I will keep this boutique hotel on my list for future travels.
- Michelle (10/5): - Great value, friendly staff. Would definately stay there again. Only negative is that taxi drivers don't seem to know where it is even when given the address.
- Megan R. (10/5): Best Boutique Hotel - Loved everything about this place. The design was quirky cool. Concierge was attentive and super nice. The rooms were gorgeous and comfortable and the price was hard to meet. The only negative that many will find is the location. Located a 15 min taxi drive (due to traffic) from On Nut BTS (skytrain) stop. Other than that the neighborhood is great for a late dinner and I would stay here again and again.
