- Natalia (8/5): - Nice hotel with a beautiful view from the pool. I've got upgrade of my room at the check in and it was an amazing. Like fairytale story prepared in each room at the evening. Great idea! Extra services suggested by the hotel is too much overpriced. You can easily find the same services from the outside twice cheaper than offered at the hotel. No communication about promotion to the guests. E.g. at SPA before 2pm you can get a 20% discount, but nobody tell you this before you find out by yourselves. The hotel does not accept Union Pay card for the payments, which is disappointing.

Le seul bémol s'il fallait en trouvé un est le service au bar qui était quasi inexistant ou le personnel était regroupé derrière le bar à discuter entre eux de façon pas très discrète. Pour tout le reste allez les yeux fermés. Le site est superbe. Le personnel du resto et du petit déjeuner super gentil.

A real oasis and great place to come back to after a day out. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Pool was refreshing. Breakfast was excellent, probably the best we've had in our travels in Vietnam and Laos to date. Highly recommend.

- evaluna2010 (10/5): A little Paradise by the River To - Nestled by the river with a fantastic view of the mountains surrounding Vangvieng, this hotel is perfectly located and super cute. The bedrooms are big and comfortable, the pool area is nice, the food in the restaurant is amazing. And above all the staff is outstanding, always helping in any way they can. The Mountain View or River View Room are highly recommended. Overall I highly recommend this hotel it’s really enjoyed our stay even though the smoke due to the heavy burning of the forests in the area, was obstructing the view. Little

All the materials used in the buildings, the surroundings and in the bar and restaurant are natural and locally sourced: wood, textiles, plants. No plastic ! - gillp299 (10/5): Lovely hotel in a perfect location - Riverside Boutique is a lovely hotel. The views are fabulous. We opted for a mountain view room, which was perfect. The food is very good; breakfast offered an excellent selection considering it is only a small hotel. Every morning there were three fresh juices- not concentrate but freshly made ‘proper’ juice. The fruit selection was extensive, along with hot dishes, both local and western, along with pastries and cereals etc. Every morning, we watched the cows come down to the river. Perfect start to the day. We had dinner on the first night, which was excellent. The restaurant for both breakfast and dinner has inside and outdoor seating, outside offering views of the scenery and gardens, which was lovely. Every evening there is a happy hour, which was excellent value. The bar area is perfectly located to admire the scenery before venturing out into town for dinner. It was a couple of minutes' walk away from numerous restaurants and bars. We asked the hotel to arrange our transfer from the airport to the hotel, which was defiantly worth doing. The driver waited patiently for us as we were stuck in a very long queue for a visa. They also took us to the train station on departure day. Good value and convenient. Overall, we had a lovely 3-night stay. We would definitely return to this hotel on future trips to the area. Highly recommended.

- Alexander (10/5): Nettes Hotel direkt am Fluss - Die Lage vom Hotel direkt am Fluss ist optimal. Das Frühstück war toll und das Restaurant sehr gut. Die ganz Anlage ist sicher eine der besten Adressen in Vang Vieng. Es ist eine Oase inmitten der chinesischen mehrstöckigen Betonbunker die gerade im Bau sind. Da bei unserem Besuch gerade chinesisches Neujahr war, wurde um uns herum in einer unglaublichen Lautstärke gefeiert, dass an Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Das Hotel kann zwar nichts dafür, aber generell müsste es Bestimmungen geben, dass nur bis zu einer gewissen Zeit extrem laute Musik gespielt werden darf.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, het uitzicht op de bergen is waanzinnig, het verkoelende zwembad is heerlijk, er is een toprestaurant voor lunch en diner. Voortreffelijk ontbijt. Mooie ruime kamer met groot balkon. We komen hier absoluut terug! Aan de dure kant, maar wel echt het geld waard voor de service en rust die je hier krijgt.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in “Yao” room. It was pricey but really nice. I thought we might have the best room in all of Vang Vieng! The dinners weren’t as good as the little hole in the wall restaurant around the corner.
- marcop (9/5): Simply great! - The property is well-maintained, along the riverside, it's very relaxing, and overall, a little gem. I know it might be on the costly side, but I can't recommend it enough. The breakfast is great, don't get me wrong, but options for dairy/gluten intolerant (or even vegan) people might be a good addition. Also, while I can understand the prices of the room are on the costly side, I find that restaurant menu is a bit overpriced.

This is truly magical and highly recommended. Air, who managed most things when we were there, is an excellent host. He arranged all of our trips - balloon and paramotor. - travelowelove (9/5): Beautiful views and delicious food - The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere and offers stunning mountain views. The location right by the river is truly special, and the restaurant serves very tasty food. The property is well maintained, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, both at the reception and in the restaurant, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The only small downside was the large number of mosquitoes, likely due to the riverside location.

The staff was kind and made you feel at home. A special shout out to Addy who we had conversations in English and he was able give us good advice on the local area along with a little bit of history.

Towel rack was half off the wall and the TV is supper small (maybe 32 inch screen and 12 feet from bed. Lighting in the bathroom is OK. No central light switch like many hotels, lots of separate switches to turn fixtures off.

The lighting at night is cool. Great location next to Nam Song river. Good views of Nam Song bridge. Pool is refreshing, but super-cold (think North Sea). Good for short plunge. - Wunderlust78 (10/5): Fantastic hotel with lovely views - We stayed at the Riverside Boutique hotel over New Year's, having chosen the hotel mostly based on the stunning photos of the pool area overlooking the river & karst mountains. The view certainly did live up to the photos & just sitting by the pool or eating in the restaurant you get a stunning vista. The hotel itself also lived up to expectations with a spacious room, a balcony overlooking the pool (which was never overly crowded) and a comfy bed. We did have a slight problem with the bath filling up with water when taking a shower, but we came to realise that drainage isn't the best in Laos so we didn't blame the hotel for this. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times & the food was very good quality, tasty & also very reasonably priced. A meal for two, with a shared starter & a few drinks each came to around £15-20, which is a bargain compared to at home in the UK! They also serve happy hour cocktails by the river everyday between 5-6pm I believe from memory. The cocktails were tasty & served with the great view. All the staff seemed very friendly & helpful, especially Bow (I think that was her name), who really helped us with getting train tickets onto Luang Prabang. We enjoyed a massage at the hotel one evening too, which was very relaxing & decent massage, offering good value for money. Vang Vieng town itself is a little rough around the edges compared to e.g. Luang Prabang, but the surrounding countryside is stunning & we really enjoyed hiring a scooter & borrowing the hotel's push bikes (complementary) to venture out to climb viewpoints, visit blue lagoons etc. Just one thing to note is that the river near the hotel can be quite noisy in the evenings because of the long tail boats setting off from the other side of the river. It's not the hotel's fault of course, but just something to bear in mind if you are expecting total peace & relaxation. We soon got used to it though & it didn't detract from our enjoyment of staying there.
- Debby (10/5): Wenn Vang Vieng, dann in diesem Hotel - Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Anlage wunderschön und gepflegt. Die Betten sind gemütlich und wir haben super geschlafen. Wenn man vom Abendessen zurück ins Zimmer kam, gab es jeden Abend einen kleinen süssen Snack und dazu eine gute Nacht Geschichte. Das Frühstück ist super. Auch das Restaurant können wir sehr empfehlen, dort haben wir fast jeden Abend gegessen. Sicher das schönste Restaurant im ganzen Ort. Der Spa-Bereich mit Blick auf den Fluss ist wunderschön, allerdings ist es dort so laut, dass wir während der Massage Noise cancelling Kopfhörer tragen mussten. Auf dem Fluss fahren tagsüber durchgehend Motorboote hin und her. Dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts. Ich würde die Massage beim nächsten Besuch auf den Abend verlegen. Dann ist es sicher besser.

Petit déjeuner excellent. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est également de qualité à des prix très abordables… Rien à dire

- SallyRY (8/5): Great location. - Beautiful position on the banks of the river. Lovely rooms with balconies overlooking the attractive garden and pool area. Food in the restaurant was good though recommend booking in advance as it was full on the day we arrived. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with limited fruit and strange cheese omelette which was cooked then cut open with a spoon to cram some cubes of cheese in. Maybe I was just unlucky!

- Christophe (9/5): Bel hôtel, personnel à l’accueil très compétent et professionnel - Sans doute l’un des plus beaux hôtels de Van Vieng. Localisation et charme des lieux L’insonorisation entre les chambres. Vous pouvez entendre la conversation de la chambre voisine. Le niveau d’anglais de certains serveurs de l’équipe du bar fait qu’on a attendu 40 min pour un plat qu’on a finalement jamais reçu parce que la cuisine était fermée.

Hier wird sehr viel Wert auf die kleinen Details gelegt, am Abend ist alles ganz toll beleuchtet. Eins der schönsten Hotels in denen wir je waren. An der Unterkunft gibt es nichts zu bemängeln, der Ort selbst war uns mit all den Buggy’s und Motorseglern zu trubelig

It's like being in paradise amid the roar of the motor and the dust of the adventure. Chilling out in the pool area or enjoying a drink at sunset with the mountains cutting the sky full of balloons is a beautiful experience. Personal is very kind and provides very good, professional service. The restaurant is great. It's worth it after a long day of adventures. Nothing. It was perfect. Being in the middle of nature has its pros, but be aware that you may encounter some "little friends".
