Guest Reviews
- Hannah (10/5): - Room was really nice, clean. Late check in with ease.
- Ann (10/5): - Clean and tidy. Quiet at night. Close to RBW Hospital. Bathroom a bit ‘aged’.
- Kimberley (8/5): - Manager was very accomadating as was the lovely Hotel Services Lady, the rooms were clean and the yard and gardens beautifully maintained, only a couple of minor things, face washers and hand towels would be good to have and maybe an extra quilt in the cupboard and a few more coathangers(we had 3) but all in all the convenience to the hospital was amazing for my Husband's operation with it being only a 4 min walk.We will definitely stay again for sure.
- Alison (10/5): - Only thing would be an additional lock on the door. Felt the door lock was not the most secure. Maybe a chain could be easily installed for added feeling of security and safety. That being said, I’d stay again. Quietest motel I think I’ve ever stayed in terms of outside traffic and local noise. Thanks.
- Christine (8/5): - This property was very easy walking distance from the hospital.
- philip (10/5): - Very good place
- Lil (2/5): - I would strongly advise against staying at this motel, as it falls well below acceptable standards in terms of quality, comfort, and overall experience.
- Zoe (8/5): - The property was clean and tidy. Room a bit smaller than pic but still a good size. Great location, only minutes walk to Showgrounds, VIC Park golf club, hospital and public transport.
- Jennie Lee (8/5): - Parking was the only negative. Maybe it was because the Exhibition started the same day.
The rest of the property was very convenient for what we needed.
Nice big rooms.
Would recommend
- Tina (8/5): - Very clean and comfortable room
- David (8/5): - Found it very expensive for an out dated place. Felt like stepping back into the 70s. No bang for your buck. A cruise ship is cheaper to go on.
- Michelle (8/5): - Great room, exactly what i needed for accommodation close to the Gabba
- Geraldine (8/5): - Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the views over the city
- Margaret Marie (10/5): - Amazing service respectful and accommodating to my needs going back to hospital in 3 months for another op I will stay there if I can before travel back to central qld 5 stars in my book

- Robert (10/5): - The property is conveniently located to the RBH and the City, with large, clean rooms, comfortable beds and a quiet location, the Staff ate very friendly and helpful also, I highly recommend this property.
- Mavis (10/5): - The Herston Place Motel is very close to the RBWH. The room is comfortable, thoughtfully provisioned and clean. It has a microwave, toaster, jug, little fridge and crockery/cutlery for meals. There's a balcony as well for fresh air and breezes.
As an oldie, I will mention that in my unit, the shower was above the bath and if you have knee or balance problems, talk to Chris about the disability unit or units with a different bathroom design.
I was very grateful for the economical cost, consideration, courtesy, and how very pleasant, suitable and attractive the motel is. Many Thanks.
- Russell (6/5): - Very short check in hours but very clean wifi password not provided at checkin nor showing any where else
- Glenn (10/5): - Our stay was great. But I would like to mention that the air conditioner in our room 108 was very noisy squealing sound. May need a service
- Chris (10/5): - Close to hospital and public transport
- Robyn (6/5): - Friendly reception staff. 2 levels with stairs and no lift. Very old and dingy. Very small unit but has a balcony. Basic amenities (no tissues, bickies, face clothes, hand towels). Very clean. Close to Stars hospital.
- Sandra (8/5): - The Manager was extremely helpful and it suited our needs at the time.

- Tracy (8/5): - T
- Karen (10/5): - Great location
- Drew (2/5): Chris, the manager, is horrible. Avoid! - What a horrible way to treat people, especially in times of a medical crisis. Chris (manager) should be ashamed! An elderly woman and her husband had to take an emergency flight to get him to a hospital. After her husband was checked in and stabilized, she needed a hotel that evening. From the US, at 10:23 PM Australia time we used hotels.com to book at Herston Place. Only after making the booking did we learn from looking at their web site that there would be nobody available to check her in after 6 pm or 7 pm (two sites gave different times). We called the hotel phone number and nobody answered. We had to send her to another hotel. We couldn't cancel our booking because it was non-refundable. The next day we sent messages to the hotel and received a response stating that if our relative had attended the property she would have seen a mobile phone number clearly displayed at each entrance for her to call to gain immediate access to her room. There was no information on Hotels.com or the Herston Place web sites stating anything about a phone number being available for 24-hour access. And we certainly were not going to send an 80 year old woman to a hotel after 10 pm with the hopes there might be a phone number posted on the door where someone might answer and may let her in. Hotels.com tried to get authorization for a refund, but Chris, the manager, refused (for services never rendered). Avoid this place at all costs!
