Martin (1/5): Misleading “Superior Apartment” – Health Risk & No Sleep - Nothing This property is a textbook example of why you cannot rely on listing photos and booking.com recommendations. The host has 9 apartments and we stayed at their worst called Dancing Bear. The apartment is marketed as a “superior apartment” with bright, modern interiors and a relaxed, poolside atmosphere. The reality is very different: the unit we received was worn, poorly maintained, and nowhere near the standard shown in the listing. The most serious issue, however, is not aesthetics — it’s health and safety. The air conditioning system is visibly dirty and poorly maintained, and there are visible signs of mold issues (including clear smell in the smaller room). The constant requirement to keep the AC running seems less about comfort and more about managing underlying humidity problems. Unfortunately, this means questionable air quality is continuously circulated. My wife (who has asthma) had a clear respiratory reaction overnight. On top of that: * The apartment is located directly on the parking lot next to a busy road * The room cannot be properly darkened, making it bright even at night * Combined with the noise, sleep was effectively impossible * The door is poorly maintained and doesn‘t feel save. The room has no safety box. Impossible to keep any belongings in there. This is not a matter of “high expectations” — the apartment was simply not usable for a normal stay. Communication was equally frustrating. There was no real willingness to resolve anything, instead we got classic good cop / bad cop tactics from the manager (Susan), clearly aimed at getting us to stay. We arrived late at night after a long drive and had no immediate alternative, so we stayed one night. We left the next morning as soon as we could arrange another option. Avoid at all costs — deceptive listing and unprofessional hosts.

Bed were old, was not comfortable at all. There were a lot of bugs inside the property, and also there were issues with the toilet which we were able to resolved ourselves. The towels provided for showroom weren’t great and need to be replaced. There were barely any shampoo or soap for us to use. Staff was difficult to reach for a beach and umbrella rental, and then accidentally overcharged us with an extra day of umbrella and chairs for the beach.

Todd (10/5): Siesta Key is definately one of our favorite places to visit! We are from PA and it's an easy trip - We had a great time (again, this was our second time, loved the room and really appreciated the 2nd floor. It was very quite we didn't hear anything, not even traffic off the main road and the bed was so comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook breakfast and everthing else for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has supplies to cook with and a few things remaiin from the last guests. A quick trip to the local store for supplies can take care of everything else. Susan was very welcoming, I liked that I received a text from her and could communicate if I needed to and was able to meet her at the property. The beach is just across the street, we rented 2 beach lounge chairs for $5 each, but you can get the entire wagon, umbrella and chairs for only $20. We take a little soft sided cooler when we travel, very handy and freeze water bottles (pro tip). There is a nice beach area across the street but we drive up a half a mile to the left (tons of parking) they have restrooms, food, drinks and volleyball on the beach. From the hotel, only about 10-12 block walking distance to the right you come to the heart of Siesta Key, loaded with restaurants, bars, music, and shops. Great for daytime of night. The Oyster bar and Margarita Bar my favorites. We go in February, the weather is unpredictable, pack accordingly. We had 1 good beach day, consider taking day trips if you have a car. We also took trips to Ocala for a race and drove to Ft. Meyers for a day trip for lunch, it was warm and sunny there!. The weather is different in the other parts of Flordia if you don't mind driving.

Todd (4/5): Not my cup of tea. - Location was great. Short walk to the beach. Needs lots of care. Flooring peeling in many areas. Large gap under the door leading outside. Smelled like it was just bombed the chemical smell was overwhelming. The wi-fi does not reach the bedroom therefore making the T.V. Not usable. Only provided the top blanket. Type of comforter did not have a separate clean blanket for the bed in the master bedroom. Tried to call to report the chemical smell in the space under the door and the television and basically we could tell that those issues have been there for a long period of time. We could not turn the air conditioner below 72 or we get a very moldy musty smell. The bathroom fan did not work. This could be a very cute place with some upkeep. We had to wait about 15 minutes longer before we were able to get in because they were what I think throwing something under the house working on a rusted vent next to the house.

Sergio (10/5): We found the perfect spot to enjoy the beach! - The house was in excellent condition, clean and fully equipped with towels, linens and kitchenware. A privileged location, just a few steps from one of the most beautiful beach we’ve ever visited! It was so quiet and relaxing at night. We were absolutely delighted and enjoyed our three nights there! I can’t honestly think of anything we didn’t like. We were unlucky to have coincided with a cold front that made the temperature drop drastically for a couple days, but the apartment and property itself was just wonderful and truly the best price we found compared to similar options in the same area.

Melissa (8/5): I have stayed here multiple times.Great price and location - Close to town and the beach. Beach items available for use like cooler, wagon, and chairs. Shower was not clean and did not drain well. Floors need to be mopped not just swept.

Carmen (5/5): Gute Lage zum Strand, ansonsten nicht empfehlenswert. - Tolle Lage und freundliche Managerin Susan. Ziemlich runtergekommenes Appartement. Schlechte Ausstattung und nicht besonders sauber. Speziell die Teppiche waren extrem eklig. Ist seinen Preis absolut nicht wert!!!

FABIO ANDRES (8/5): - Muy cómodo y equipado el apartamento de 2 dormitorios. Solo le faltan algunos detalles para que su puntuación sea maxima: carece de mantel o individuales para la mesa, las sillas y sombrillas disponibles para la playa están en mal estado. No hay atención personal, dejan un sobre con el código electrónico de la puerta del apartamento. Ante cualquier requerimiento hay que llamar por teléfono porque no contestan WhatsApp ni email. Pero aun así les doy un 8 sobre 10.

También el departamento, con buen confort No hay servicio de limpieza. Nadie va a limpiar. Ni cambiar las sábanas, ni limpiar los baños. Ni siquiera día por por medio, o cada 3 días

Markus (1/5): - Wir haben mit 4 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern ein Superior Appartement mit 88 qm gebucht für 4 Tage . Bekommen haben wir ein Standard Appartement mit 40 qm. Ausstattung für 4 Personen, viel zu klein. Nach Bezug um 14 Uhr wollten wir das reklamieren. Trotz Zusage war den ganzen restlichen Tag niemand erreichbar, weder am Telefon, per Mail oder Whattsapp. Erst am nächsten Morgen dann eine Rückmeldung. Da hatten wir längst reagiert, nach dieser schlechten Nacht. Wir mussten deshalb eine neue Unterkunft buchen und sind am nächsten Tag ausgezogen, da das von der Größe nicht zumutbar war. Jetzt verweigern sie die Rückzahlung, obwohl das Appartement sogar neu vermietet wurde. Schämt euch. Wenn ihr nicht die gebuchte Leistung bietet, dürft ich auch kein Geld dafür nehmen.

Kimberly (6/5): - Location was amazing and the pool was refreshing and clean! Condo wasn’t the cleanest and garbage disposal didn’t work and had food in it from someone else’s previous stay. We swept a couple times and there was lots of dog hair and we didn’t have a pet with us.

jorge benigno (7/5): - La ubicación. Las sábanas algo viejas, no tenía reposeras inclinables (solo sillas tipo pescador), y faltaba una pava electrica. El código de acceso al depto. lo dejaban escrito en un papel abierto con tu nombre (no estaba en un sobre cerrado) en un buzón de libre acceso a todos y no se podía solicitar un cambio de código. Cabe aclarar que, si bien no pudieron cumplir con nuestros pedidos, siempre que los contactamos nos respondieron rápidamente.

Sayur (10/5): Otima estadia - O atendimento proporcionado pela Sra. Susan foi excepcional. Com certeza voltaremos. O local fica a uma quadra da praia e em rua paralela ao centro de amenidades. Ms. Susan's service was exceptional. We will definitely be back. The location is one block from the beach and on a street parallel to the amenities center.
